[00:00:00] Speaker A: Type in media.
[00:00:24] Speaker B: Time for the Burning River sportscast. We are back from Sabbatical. The Browns have been busy in free agency, making moves and taking names. The Cavaliers, gelling at the right time, have clinched a playoff spot. Meanwhile, the Guardians look ahead to beginning the 2023 campaign. Cleveland is where all the action is, and the only place to atch catch.
[00:00:45] Speaker A: Them all is right here, where we.
[00:00:46] Speaker B: Break it all down for you, next on the Burning River Sports. Fast.
I love that for him.
This is the biggest trade in Cleveland history. Pretty much, it is.
I would be disgruntled if Zach Wilson was banging my mom.
Black China is now Angela White, and she's a born again virgin. Christian, she's a born again how can.
[00:01:16] Speaker A: You be a born again virgin?
[00:01:18] Speaker B: We said on paper this team is good. Well, where did paper get us? We were the paper champions of 2022.
[00:01:27] Speaker A: Paper ghosts.
[00:01:28] Speaker B: Paper ghosts. Whatever that means.
[00:01:31] Speaker A: No, I mean, you mentioned it, though, with Kevin. I don't know what it means, either.
[00:01:39] Speaker B: Welcome into the Burning River sports cast. Presented by Tap in Media I am Kenny Thunder, seated beside the first man to pokedex all of the original 151 Pokemon and simultaneously hold every Poke gym from Canal Fulton to the shores of Lake Erie with nothing more than a beadrill. A man who needs no introduction, but I gave him one anyway. Red hot Ronnie jams.
Yeah, Ronnie. Why don't you take a break from battling Team Rocket and tell all our friends where they can find their first snorl sorry. Where they can find the most entertaining Cleveland sports analysis inside of a pod.
[00:02:13] Speaker A: Something about a snorla.
[00:02:16] Speaker B: Yeah, I got confused. This is going to help you help our viewers find their first snorla.
[00:02:21] Speaker A: Yeah. You can find our podcast wherever you get your podcast, talking to Apple podcasts. Apple podcasts. Apple podcasts spotify. We're Rusted. Google podcasts. Amazon Music. Pandora iHeartRadio podcast. Castro good pods and so many more.
[00:02:33] Speaker B: We've been off for a couple of weeks. We have been. The juices aren't flowing.
[00:02:37] Speaker A: We got to get them going. To get them going. Kenny.
[00:02:41] Speaker B: That's me.
[00:02:41] Speaker A: You see that? Scientists in Britain, at the University of Cambridge Department of Engineering and Clinical Neurosciences, to be exact, have developed a brain implant that can restore arm and leg movements to paralyzed limbs, offering hope to accident victims. Have you seen this? Have you read anything about it?
[00:03:08] Speaker B: About this study in particular? No. I mean, I'm quite familiar with what Elon Musk wants to do with the neuralink.
[00:03:16] Speaker A: So this brain implant, it basically boosts connections between neurons. It combines flexible electronics and human stem cells, aka the body's reprogrammable master cells to better integrate with the nerve and drive limb function.
Previous attempts at using neural implants to restore limb function have mostly failed. Scar tissue tends to form around the electrodes over time, impeding the connection between the device and the nerve.
[00:03:44] Speaker B: So you get a brain chip, but then what? They have to go in and do some kind of, like, ablation every six months.
[00:03:51] Speaker A: So what they did to fix this right, because there was all the scars was building up around your brain chip, as you so eloquently put it.
What they did was they sandwiched a layer of muscle cells, chips and sandwiches.
[00:04:06] Speaker B: They always go together.
[00:04:07] Speaker A: Yeah. So they sandwiched a layer of muscle cells that are reprogrammed from stem cells between the electrodes and the living tissue in rats, because they're still in the research phase here, the researchers found that the device integrated with the host's body in the formation of scar tissue was completely prevented.
[00:04:26] Speaker B: Okay, here's the thing, though, that I want to know. If they're doing these tests in rats, whose job is it to paralyze the rat?
[00:04:39] Speaker A: I don't think anybody's I don't think the rats are paralyzed. I think they're just seeing if they're able to move the rat's limbs with this brain chip.
[00:04:48] Speaker B: Well, that doesn't feel like a one to one. Like, well, if I can do it in a human a rat, I can do it in a human. I would need to make sure that they couldn't move their own limbs.
[00:04:56] Speaker A: Basically everything I've said so far is completely above my level of intelligence.
[00:05:02] Speaker B: You're not a neuroscientist?
[00:05:03] Speaker A: No, I didn't come up with this stuff.
[00:05:05] Speaker B: Just found the story fascinating.
[00:05:07] Speaker A: Yeah, it was great. Other than it's wild and the singularity is coming, and you talked about Elon Musk, and we're all going to be computers soon. We're going to be cyborgs. It's going to be terrible.
Or it could be really cool.
[00:05:17] Speaker B: I really worry about this whole cyborg thing because what happens if they just turn your brain chip off?
Seriously?
[00:05:30] Speaker A: I mean, it's a scary thought.
[00:05:31] Speaker B: Here's the thing.
[00:05:32] Speaker A: Like, you're one of these people that gets this brain chip, and somebody turns it off, and all of a sudden you lose all function in all your limbs.
[00:05:37] Speaker B: Or what if I just interfere with it and now I control your body? I could make you walk places you've never been.
[00:05:43] Speaker A: You're like that parasite that lives on ants in the wild over in Africa that literally attaches to their brain and then can force them to do all kinds of things.
[00:05:54] Speaker B: Yeah, like a tardigrade.
[00:05:57] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:05:58] Speaker B: They live on the moon.
We sent them there. They're real small ant brains. Wow. This took a turn for the worst.
[00:06:06] Speaker A: Look that up.
It's literally a parasite that gets onto the ant and then burrows into their head and into their brain, and it can control them and make them go wherever they need to go so that the parasite can hack to a new host and keep on living.
[00:06:21] Speaker B: We've been off for a few weeks and five minutes into this pod. We are totally off the rails because that is nowhere in the notes about brain degeneration.
And that's what you went with this zombie parasite. That's what you went with is the story of the day when black China is now Angela White and she's a born again virgin. Christian.
[00:06:42] Speaker A: She's a born again how can you be a born again virgin?
[00:06:45] Speaker B: She had a tattoo of Baphomet, which is like a goat with a pentagram on its head. She was like, Got to get rid of that.
[00:06:51] Speaker A: All right?
[00:06:52] Speaker B: Stopped right in middle of Las Vegas, strip into a van and she was like, Got to get rid of this. She's just born again. Here's. What I'll tell you.
Good on black China for cleaning up her act. It's probably respectable. It's a hard life to live as, like a rock star type of personality, where you could just have access to drugs and anything that you'd ever want.
[00:07:12] Speaker A: Sex, drugs and rock and roll, man.
[00:07:13] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, those guys live hard lives.
I don't feel bad for them, but they live hard lives. They are always going so good on her for stepping into something a little more stable. But here's the one thing that I've learned from this transformation from black China to Angela White.
To get naked, be a stripper, do your only fence, do your absolute worst.
And then once you get paid for it, then find God.
[00:07:44] Speaker A: Tried and true, man.
[00:07:47] Speaker B: I mean, do your worst, praise be, until they pay you for it. And then once you get the bag bag secured, get right with God.
[00:07:56] Speaker A: It's never too late.
[00:07:58] Speaker B: That's right.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: It's never too late.
[00:07:59] Speaker B: Never too late.
[00:08:01] Speaker A: Black China. That's where you thought that was better than brain.
[00:08:03] Speaker B: That is the news of the day. She's a born again Christian now, according to you.
[00:08:07] Speaker A: She's a born again.
[00:08:08] Speaker B: She's reformed. She went from running tricks in La to singing songs about running tricks in La. Running tricks in La to now she's basically a prophet. She's a modern day prophet. She is Joseph Smith. She's a Mormon. I made the last part up, but.
[00:08:30] Speaker A: That last part is by no way corroborated by facts.
[00:08:33] Speaker B: Also not in our notes.
[00:08:34] Speaker A: Yeah, not in our notes. Oh, wow.
We have definitely been off.
What just happened?
[00:08:42] Speaker B: Welcome back to the Burning River sportscast So, again, we do appreciate you accommodating our winter sabbatical. Had a few things to plan. A lot of big things on the way. One of these things we're going to talk about right now. I am worried, though, because we've been away so long. Ronnie, you probably don't even know what day it.
[00:09:02] Speaker A: Monday. No.
[00:09:04] Speaker B: It's chub day.
[00:09:05] Speaker A: Chub day.
[00:09:06] Speaker B: Chub day. You may have noticed our throwback matching Chubb jerseys. We did call each other this morning to make sure we were both wearing the same clothes. And you may have noticed this handsome box sitting on our workstation here today that says Fanatics. Ronnie.
[00:09:26] Speaker A: What's that doing there?
[00:09:27] Speaker B: Are we sponsored by no, no, absolutely not. Absolutely not. So that's all we're going to say about that. But what I will tell you is that we are celebrating Nicholas Jamal Chubb today. The man, the myth, the legend. In five seasons, Nick Chubb is fourth all time on the Browns all time rushing list with over 6300 yards, third in touchdowns with 48, second all time in 100 yard rushing games and tied for first all time with the great Jim Brown at 5.2 yards per carry over his career. And he holds the Browns record for the longest rush in franchise history at 92 yards, four time Pro Bowler and 2022 All Pro. Every time he goes full Chub, I go at least quarter Chub. Women want him. Batman wants to be him. Like the Wid, he swept into Chubbtown, Georgia, where he once saved a feline from a tree in a hurricane, in the eye of a tornado. He impressed us further still when he scaled Mount Rushmore with just his bare hands to thwart a would be nuclear terrorist attack just atop Lincoln's forehead. He's never had an off field problem and certainly never an on field problem. The consummate teammate and professional. The reason for every season. And now you can own a premium autographed throwback Nick Chubb jersey. Ronnie tell Mal.

[00:11:33] Speaker B: Subscribe I Love Nick Chubb Who doesn't love Chubb? You don't love Chubb then, do you?
[00:11:40] Speaker A: Yeah, I agree with that. Let's get into the free agency frenzy.
All right, so before we get to the actual free agency period, we all knew that the Browns were cash strapped this year, right?
[00:12:04] Speaker B: Cash strapped.
[00:12:06] Speaker A: So they needed to find a way to fix that. How do we do that? We restructured some contracts. The two of note that I have in here. I'll start with Jacqueline Grant. He was hurt last year. They restructured his contract to make it more team friendly and free up some space. And then the big one, Deshaun Watson converted $44.92 million of his 2023 salary into a signing bonus. That adds one voided year and clears $35.8 million of cap space for Cleveland.
[00:12:37] Speaker B: Andrew barry's been busy.
[00:12:39] Speaker A: Yeah. So mind you, you make that comment. Mind you, this was haslam's void. It was kind of well documented that haslam said we're going to get him at any cost, right? So to me, he wanted Watson that bad. This is what makes sense. Andrew Barry goes and tells him, if you want to compete in today's NFL with a $230,000,000 quarterback, we're going to have to convert his salary every year to a signing bonus, and you're going to pay that out of your pocket so that we can build a team.
[00:13:09] Speaker B: It does kind of call into question the salary cap in general, but I guess does it really discussion for another day? Yeah.
[00:13:16] Speaker A: Does it really exist? The owners just pay whatever they want.
[00:13:19] Speaker B: But even with that, because they had several other contracts, big contracts on the books. So even clearing that space, it was a huge help. Certainly. I mean, a lot of them to play in free agency, but they're still a bit strapped for well, now they are.
[00:13:34] Speaker A: Now they've signed some in terms of.
[00:13:36] Speaker B: Signing, like top tier talent.
[00:13:38] Speaker A: Yeah. There's going to be other players that are going to need resigned here in the next couple of years, too.
[00:13:43] Speaker B: More signing bonuses to come.
[00:13:45] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
And then on top of that, it became official. The Browns released Judeon Clowney, which we all knew was coming. And they released John Johnson II. I believe he's a post April 1 or whatever the deadline thing is, the post whatever release.
[00:14:04] Speaker B: They're gone.
[00:14:04] Speaker A: He's gone.
They both seem to be pretty disgruntled and their time in Cleveland kind of run its course. So like I said, I think we all saw this coming and both highly underperformed, especially this past season. So, I mean, happy trails, boys. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
[00:14:23] Speaker B: Yeah, look, they did underperform, but I think what that also brings to light is the fact that a lot was expected of them because they were good players. Right. I mean, you look at things like PFF and where they graded out, they weren't terrible. Even Jadavion last year graded pretty well. He was the second highest graded defender on the Browns defense. But the point is that now you have holes for starter holes. I mean, this isn't depth holes.
[00:14:51] Speaker A: That's a good movie.
[00:14:52] Speaker B: This isn't shy of the booth.
This isn't depth problems like we saw all last year. These are starter gaps.
[00:15:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, with that, that's where we get.
[00:15:04] Speaker B: Into free agents, into the frenzy.
[00:15:06] Speaker A: Yeah. So now with all the moves being made, blood and sharks all around, before we actually get to the free agents.
[00:15:13] Speaker B: No feeding frenzy yet.
[00:15:14] Speaker A: We get to the actual free agents. I want to talk about the guys that we brought back that we've kind of grown to love that they brought back.
[00:15:22] Speaker B: They were like kind of free agents.
[00:15:24] Speaker A: Yeah, some of them were free agents, actually, and we brought them back. And then others, we signed them basically before they could hit the market.
[00:15:32] Speaker B: Yeah. If you didn't leave, you're still ours.
[00:15:34] Speaker A: Bottom line, they're still here. Still here. So first one here, Siomi Takitake, linebacker was really coming on strong towards the end of the year before he got hurt. Ended up tearing his ACL, I believe. And I'm pretty happy that they brought him back because, like I said, he was really starting to show flashes at the end of the year, and he just didn't get to live up to any hype that he was starting to build because he got hurt.
[00:16:01] Speaker B: Look, I think the important thing about Takitake is they got him on my one year deal for cheap.
[00:16:05] Speaker A: So I'll just go ahead and say that to start this. Just pay attention to how many guys we have on one year deals that are low dollar, low risk, all of them. You'll hear those words a lot here soon. Anthony Walker. Another linebacker. He was the heart and soul of the defense early on. Last mean, we were pretty bad against the run, even to start the season, but when he went down, there was a noticeable drop off, so I thought that was a great resigning. Again, he's coming off. What did he have as Achilles, I think. Was it an Achilles?
[00:16:40] Speaker B: I didn't go look, I don't know.
[00:16:42] Speaker A: But either way, it was a season ending injury early in the season, and he should bring some good leadership to the linebacking core next season. And again, low risk deal. It was a one year deal, like one point something million dollars.
[00:16:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Anthony Walker was probably one of the biggest losses on defense last year in total. Not that he's not like Von Miller out there, right? Like, he's not an A list premier talent, but he is a very solid starter, defensive play caller, and he's their defensive play caller. He's a good leadership guy, good locker room guy. So I'm excited to have him back, for sure.
The only question is how he comes back off the injury.
[00:17:24] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. It's the same with him and Taki. Taki, I think these short deals, they're banking on one of them to hit and play well next year. Jordan Kunichic, linebacker, but he's more of a special teams guy. This is a depth and special teams move. Again, low risk, low dollar, one year deal.
[00:17:43] Speaker B: Yeah. If we ever say Jordan Kunichick's name ever again, then I'll be surprised.
[00:17:47] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, they did build on the special teams, though. I think that was part of Ventron coming in, which we'll talk about later.
[00:17:52] Speaker B: I've had farts that are stronger than he is.
[00:17:54] Speaker A: All right, well, on to the next one. Ethan Pochick. Big, big re signing here. So glad they brought him back. Was one of the best players in the league at his position last year. We're able to get him at not too high of a price tag, considering how well he played.
[00:18:08] Speaker B: I was surprised that they got him so air quotes, cheap. NFL cheap. At $18 million over three years. Not bad.
[00:18:16] Speaker A: For three years, $18 million was the contracted, and you stacked that up against I don't expect you to know this off the top of your head, but what did Alex Mack get back in the day when he was the best center in the league or one of the best centers?
[00:18:29] Speaker B: Oh, I mean, it was easily had to be a $50 million contract to.
[00:18:33] Speaker A: Get a guy that's in one of the top players at his position in the league for three years. 18 million is pretty big.
[00:18:40] Speaker B: It just solidifies the interior of that line. Oh, yeah.
To have a Pro Bowler sorry, a hall of Famer and a Pro Bowler and then put you in the middle mean, the interior is really solid. You still have some question marks at both tackle positions. But because that interior is so strong, I mean, it's nothing but a benefit.
[00:19:02] Speaker A: Yeah. And it builds depth here because the starting center going into last season still on the roster, he's going to be the backup, which is kind of crazy to talk about.
[00:19:15] Speaker B: Well, yeah, I mean, there was a couple of guys slated in there because it was not just Nick Harris. It was what was the other guy's name? I always forget it was Brown fans.
[00:19:27] Speaker A: Here, but that's who I'm talking about. Nick Harris is going to end up being the backup.
[00:19:33] Speaker B: But there was another one, too, that was he was right there with Nick Harris that also got hurt last year.
I want to say it was the guy that Baker Mayfield didn't know in the huddle.
[00:19:43] Speaker A: That's always a good story.
[00:19:44] Speaker B: What the heck his name?
[00:19:47] Speaker A: But anyways, it doesn't matter. So we have some depth here now in the interior of our offensive line, which is rare.
The last few years, we've really struggled with depth on the line. So good to see that. And then the final resigning in the offseason was AJ. Green, cornerback, another depth piece, but he's a little bit more than a depth piece. He's played a lot of kind of nickel and dime cornerback for us, played the slot guys, and he's played well while he's been in Cleveland.
[00:20:18] Speaker B: Yeah, look, we even dogged on AJ. Green a little bit last year because he's not, again, not your top tier starter.
[00:20:26] Speaker A: Right.
[00:20:26] Speaker B: If AJ. Green is starting games for you, you're in trouble. Yeah.
[00:20:30] Speaker A: But I would agree with that.
[00:20:31] Speaker B: He does have a good deal of experience, a good deal of experience playing with these guys.
[00:20:36] Speaker A: And he's a solid, and he's solid. He's solid as a spot corner.
[00:20:40] Speaker B: He's made enough plays that you trust him out there.
[00:20:44] Speaker A: Right. So, again, like I said, it's a depth piece. That's much needed in our secondary with the history of injuries, with our corners, which is a whole other story.
Like you said, you don't want to discount his play. He has been solid for the Browns the whole time he's been here, and they got him again, low risk, low dollar deal, one year deal, one point.
[00:21:07] Speaker B: Something, million dollars yeah, keep me mad about that.
[00:21:10] Speaker A: And finally, this brings us to the main event, which was free agency. And boy, did the Browns make some moves, especially after everybody thought they wouldn't be able to with their lack of cap space.
Let's start it out with Dalvin Tomlinson at defensive tackle.
[00:21:27] Speaker B: Let him eat.
[00:21:28] Speaker A: This was the biggest move by far for the Browns in free agency. A proven asset on the interior of our defensive line. Finally, after several years of just acting like it wasn't a problem, wasn't an issue, and not addressing it whatsoever, the Browns have finally brought in a tough, tough defensive lineman. Defensive tackle gave him four years, $57 million. And he really brings a lot to this defensive line. Kind of transforms it.
[00:21:57] Speaker B: Yeah. And he's a guy that when you think about the weakness of this Browns defense last year, defensive tackle immediately fills that void.
And Andrew Baron knew that coming into this year, coming into soft season, that you had to not only replace guys like Clowney and JJ. Three, but you had to plug a couple of those holes. And this was by far the most clearing.
[00:22:23] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. So it's a big signing for them. Tomlinson comes over from Minnesota, so pretty excited to have him. I think the defensive line is going to be much improved this year, especially not only with the and we'll get into some of the other players that they've signed because there was quite a few defensive linemen. But being under Jim Schwartz, I think he's going to be able to utilize these guys and put them in much better positions to succeed.
[00:22:46] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, I think we're all excited.
What Jim Shorts is jim Shorts will come up with.
But this is going to be now a huge piece to everything that we do.
[00:22:56] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Next up, we have Juan Thornhill, free safety, coming over from Kansas City. And you just mentioned it, JJ. Three was out, needed a replacement at that free safety position. And I think they went and got one that has championship experience, which is one of the biggest deals with Juan Thornhill. He's a solid player, but he has championship experience, which is know, there's not an abundance of that on this Browns team. I'll tell you.
[00:23:25] Speaker B: There's none. There's none of that. Yeah.
Thor Hill is one of those guys that he's, again, not premier talent at the top of that list, but it plays his role. So, yeah, again, I think what you're seeing them bring in, we're not going.
[00:23:48] Speaker A: Out and getting these impact players. You can't go solid starter.
[00:23:52] Speaker B: Yes. You can't go out and get the big flashy player because of the contractual obligations that you have to meet. But what they've done is made very smart moves with guys that I'm sure rate very high on their analytics board. There's another one that's coming up here that we'll talk about soon that I'm sure from an analytics standpoint.
[00:24:12] Speaker A: So to finish up, talk about Juan Thornhill. Solid asset to hold down the fort at the back end of our defense. Probably knows that he should stay as deep as the deepest, which is something we were lacking last year. And they gave him all you got to do three years, 21 million. So it's still not a massive contract for a secondary player.
[00:24:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:24:32] Speaker A: Next up, I will let you pronounce this name.
[00:24:34] Speaker B: Oh, is it my turn?
[00:24:36] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:24:38] Speaker B: I'm just going to go with okaranquo.
[00:24:45] Speaker A: Defensive end from Houston.
And he's a solid defensive end. Compliment to I think again, we just mentioned this not a premier talent at the defensive end position. But he's probably in that B group, the solid starter group.
Yeah.
[00:25:02] Speaker B: I mean, I think when you look at him and like people don't know his name because A, you can't pronounce it.
[00:25:07] Speaker A: And he played for Houston.
[00:25:07] Speaker B: And B. He played for Houston. He played on a trash team. But if you look at I was just reading that he was the only one that graded out better than Miles Garrett in matchups one or lost last year, which is an incredible insane.
[00:25:21] Speaker A: So if you have those Miles opposite ends of the and think about that. Miles Garrett will continue to get double teams. So you're going to leave Agbanya on the backside just completely one on one almost all the time.
[00:25:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:25:38] Speaker A: I expect those five sacks that he had last year to skyrocket this year.
[00:25:42] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, Miles Raidout is like pretty much the best defensive line player last year outside of your other top tier talent, your guys like Bosa and Wad. But in terms of grading and stuff, like Miles is right there. So to be in that conversation with Miles Garrett and now to add him to that line, great compliment.
[00:26:06] Speaker A: And I will say this. He's a much different style than Clowney. Clowney was kind of a power guy that just went I feel like, well.
[00:26:14] Speaker B: Clowney's a run stopper.
[00:26:15] Speaker A: That's what so his and even in the pass rush, his pass rush mo wasn't to get home all the time and get a bunch of sacks disrupted things.
[00:26:25] Speaker B: Yeah, people get that confused about Clowny all the time because he's such a big name and because of the famous hit. But Clowny's not a pass rush guy. Clowney is a run stopper through and through. The other thing I like about this.
[00:26:39] Speaker A: Learn to say his name.
[00:26:40] Speaker B: He swear to God is that he's like 26 or 27 years old. 27 years old. Clowny was staring down the wrong side of that.
[00:26:49] Speaker A: Yeah. And I think this is an upgrade because of that. I would say they're probably on a similar level.
I would actually probably give the edge dog bonia here as far as athleticism even. But he's 27 and Clowney's is 30.
[00:27:06] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, to me, too. I think what this also says is like, I don't want to get into like coach talk and firing coaches just yet, but he's ready, done with them already. But I feel like Andrew Berry is saying, hey, I played my cards, I did what I could. I got you a new safety. I got you a run stopping defensive tackle, and I went out and got you an edge rusher that will absolutely play compliment to the best in the game. So if you can't figure this out, the problem is in me. So it's almost as if now Andrew Barry, since we had the fall guy in Joe Woods is now setting up, probably not Jim Shorts, Jim SHORTZ because he's new, but Kevin Stefanski now is officially going to be the fall guy. There's no one else left.
[00:27:56] Speaker A: I mean, they've got a whole new coaching staff. We'll get into that in the second half of the show here. So to finish up, he got three years, 19 million. So again, not crazy numbers. Fairly conservative considering what defensive ends make in the NFL nowadays.
[00:28:13] Speaker B: Yeah. Again, another smart, I'm sure very analytics signing.
[00:28:17] Speaker A: Yeah. So next up we got Jordan Aikens, tight end, former teammate in Houston, of Watson, of Deshaun Watson. So he's coming over from Houston. Does this mean anything for Harrison?
[00:28:30] Speaker B: I believe that Harrison is probably done.
[00:28:33] Speaker A: Harrison Bryant's probably on the out. Or do they carry three tight ends? They've done that before.
[00:28:39] Speaker B: I don't think they're going to be able to carry three tight ends this year because as we continue to go down this list, you'll see some wide receiver talent. I just don't think there's going to be room for another tight end. And this is probably out of all the moves that they've made, the one that I'm most or second most excited about, jordan Aikens. Again, he played in Houston last year.
[00:29:01] Speaker A: You see him as a security blanket for Deshaun Watson.
[00:29:04] Speaker B: They were just ass. And so I think to have I like his athleticism. He's a big strong guy. This is a kid that played receiver in college before he switched side end so he can make every catch.
[00:29:17] Speaker A: One of the big things and you'll see again, you mentioned some of the receivers that we'll be talking about here soon. One of the big things that they targeted as far as pass catchers for Deshaun Watson was speed.
[00:29:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
When you think about especially when you think about the offense we've been told that they want to run, this is a guy that fits right into that scheme.
[00:29:34] Speaker A: Yeah. And he is on this list here. He's the last one that got more than a one year deal. They gave him two years.
[00:29:41] Speaker B: Love that.
[00:29:43] Speaker A: Next up, michael.
[00:29:44] Speaker B: I love that for him.
[00:29:47] Speaker A: Next up, Michael Ford, cornerback and special teams guy, came over from Atlanta. This is the second special teams ace in as many years. Jaqueen Grant, last year they signed, unfortunately wasn't able to play much because of injury.
[00:29:59] Speaker B: That was hugely.
[00:30:00] Speaker A: Disappointing. So second special teams ace in as many years.
And so Ford is a gunner that has a reputation of smothering opponents on returns, on punt returns. So I'm hoping because this is an area that the Browns have struggled with for years, like, I can't remember the last time we had a good gunner that actually got down there and covered punts consistently. Josh Gribbs, probably he did it off. But I'm hoping that Jaqueen Grant, Michael Ford, coupled with the fact that Mike Prefer is no longer in the building means that we are going to see vast improvements on the special teams. I've been waiting to have a good special teams unit for the Browns years.
[00:30:44] Speaker B: And I think if they're going to have one, this is the year to do it right. I mean, it was a huge problem last year that we talked about week in and week out. So with a new start there with new coach, I'm sure that there was a little bit of that peeping up saying, hey, I need the guys to get this thing right. So looking forward to him coming in.
[00:31:05] Speaker A: Yes. Again, low risk, one year deal.
Just very modest amount of money. I didn't even write it down. It was so small.
[00:31:12] Speaker B: So small.
[00:31:13] Speaker A: Yeah. All these are in the one to $2 million range is basically all of these contracts here. So next up, Matthew Adams, an outside linebacker from Chicago. Again, depth in special teams in mind here. Mostly a special teams player, but he does give us a little bit of depth at linebacker, which we struggled with last year mightily.
[00:31:33] Speaker B: Yeah, well, and again, I think that's been the theme of this free agency period for Andrew Berry has been fill the gaps first and then add depth. Because we thought we had depth last year. And it turns out that you barely.
[00:31:47] Speaker A: By the end of the season just needed bodies. Didn't matter who it was.
[00:31:50] Speaker B: You barely had starters at some positions last year. So I think that's been very clear is that these aren't guys necessarily that are household names, but they have guys that they believe can play in their system and they're not every down players, but they're guys that are going to keep this thing afloat all year long.
[00:32:06] Speaker A: And then I know you can see our show notes here, but I'm going to skip around just a little bit. I'm going to do two defensive tackles in a row here. First one's, Tristan Hill coming over from Arizona, another interior defensive lineman.
Again, I just want to reiterate that I'm so happy they made defensive tackle a priority in the offseason because they've just ignored it.
[00:32:27] Speaker B: Had to be.
[00:32:29] Speaker A: It's like they realized that just not addressing the issue wasn't going to work.
[00:32:33] Speaker B: Joe Wood said he didn't need them.
[00:32:35] Speaker A: But either way, Tristan Hill is a solid addition here. And then the other one is Maurice Hurst, another defensive tackle, which doesn't seem like a big ad. He struggled with injuries throughout his career. However, he had a really good rookie season before the injuries started to pile up. So between these two guys, and again, they're both low risk, low dollar, signings one year deals for like $1.2 million, something like that.
I think that they're banking on one of these two guys to hit and be a solid, solid starter for them.
[00:33:09] Speaker B: And that's all you need, right? Because if one of these guys ends up being an Ethan Pochick that you go, hey, he's been solid all year long.
[00:33:17] Speaker A: You don't have to have Maurice Hearst coming over from San Francisco. He hasn't played since 2021, though.
[00:33:23] Speaker B: Yeah, you have to hit on one of these guys and if you have the depth behind him, then great.
[00:33:28] Speaker A: Yeah, I agree.
Out of those two, I would say Tristan Hill is more likely. I mean, it's a safer bet because he doesn't have a lot of injury concerns.
[00:33:36] Speaker B: But the real question is what becomes of the guys that are here?
Stupid.
[00:33:44] Speaker A: Don't worry about it.
[00:33:45] Speaker B: We're talking about free agents.
[00:33:48] Speaker A: Next up here we got Wes Martin guard coming over from Washington. This is the latest one announced. This was announced this week, actually, today. I think this is another depth play for behind Batonio. And know we've talked about it at length already. Depth was a huge issue in multiple areas on this Browns team. Last mean one of the main areas, notably offensive line.
[00:34:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:34:12] Speaker A: So really happy to see that they address this in free agency as well because again, you don't need those starters. We have starters on offensive line. You need guys that can come in and be depth pieces, be solid off the bench when our guys need a break or if somebody gets hurt.
[00:34:27] Speaker B: Well, yeah, you got to have confidence in the guys that may end up having to come in and spot play for two, three, four weeks at a time and you just didn't really have that before. So you have to continue to build out that second eleven has to be just as strong as your starting eleven.
[00:34:43] Speaker A: Absolutely. And Wes Martin was the only guy on our list that his contract was not announced yet. I'm assuming it's one year, $1.2 million.
[00:34:51] Speaker B: It won't be much more.
[00:34:53] Speaker A: And then finally on the list of free agents, josh Dobbs, QB coming back from Tennessee. He was with the Browns previously, went to Tennessee, did not play very well in Tennessee when he got the chance. He played okay, but they're bringing him back. He has some experience now.
[00:35:14] Speaker B: Yeah, he's got some experience now.
[00:35:17] Speaker A: I'm not hating on Josh dobs. I actually like Josh Dobbs as a backup quarterback. So he's a backup?
[00:35:22] Speaker B: Yeah, he's a really smart guy. He apparently was like a aerospace engineer major in wonderlick, score was through the roof, build rockets or something. I actually heard him recently talking about how he'll eventually go back to that. But because Cleveland has NASA glenn So close, like he's still tied into like I don't know. That's actually going to fly rockets around. But smart guy got some playing experience last year with Tennessee. And remember, they had a young guy in Tennessee and Malik Willis that they had a lot of incentive to try to play, get him on the field. And they went with. So he's got he's got some talent. And if you go back even further than that to the preseason last year, hell, there were a lot of people that were like, let's start Josh Dobbs instead of Jacoby Brissette.
[00:36:13] Speaker A: So people calling for that pretty wild.
But either way, welcome Josh Dobbs. Welcome back, Josh dobbs.
[00:36:21] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, of all the guys that would have come in, I mean, look, this does a couple of things. It alleviates any concern of anybody saying we should have a controversy in Cleveland.
You put Deshaun at the top of that list by a mile and you bring in a guy that's familiar with the area in the system. So I don't have any problem with that.
[00:36:43] Speaker A: I bet you can't guess what his contract is.
[00:36:45] Speaker B: This is a one year deal.
[00:36:47] Speaker A: One year, around $1.2 million.
[00:36:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I think we skipped a free agent here.
[00:36:52] Speaker A: No. Oh, yeah, we did.
We did it when I was skipping around there. Marquise Goodwin, wide Receiver from Seattle. This is one I'm actually really excited about. So I'm glad you pointed it out.
He may be on the wrong side of 30. However, he brings some veteran knowledge of the wide receiver room. And we talked earlier about speed. Like that's what they were going to get for just Deshaun Watson. That's what they want is speed.
[00:37:16] Speaker B: His Madden speed is still 99.
[00:37:18] Speaker A: Yeah, that's what he's known for, is taking the top off a defense. So I'm pretty excited that we have a lot of possession receivers. Yeah, guys that are shifty and can get open in the middle of the field. Now we've got the guy that can run down the sideline and completely blow.
[00:37:33] Speaker B: Up when that was supposed to be Anthony Schwartz, right?
[00:37:35] Speaker A: He's mean.
[00:37:37] Speaker B: I think this hopefully ends the Anthony Schwartz experience.
[00:37:42] Speaker A: First one we're doing today, you see the memes of them loading up. Anthony Schwartz. Kick him out of Cleveland.
[00:37:47] Speaker B: He's got to go. He's got to go.
[00:37:50] Speaker A: They're good.
[00:37:50] Speaker B: He's the worst. He's the worst.
[00:37:53] Speaker A: For the listeners on your podcast app, it's trash bin being loaded into a trash truck.
[00:38:02] Speaker B: I think it goes without saying, in any job, you can be bad at it. There's a bad cashier at McDonald's. There's a bad accountant at Ernst Young. There's bad everything.
[00:38:14] Speaker A: There's a bad co host to a podcast.
[00:38:16] Speaker B: Anthony Schwartz is the worst football player.
He's so bad that he's the worst of all of the bads. Like take the worst doctor.
[00:38:27] Speaker A: Is this like Trent Richardson bad? Take the worst doctor got named the.
[00:38:30] Speaker B: Worst back of all time, way worse than Trent Richardson. Trent Richardson at least had a year where he put up decent numbers.
[00:38:36] Speaker A: He had a rule named after him.
[00:38:37] Speaker B: Yeah. And he pumped a lot of helmets off people, which was good. No, but take the worst doctor, the worst accountant, the worst president, all those things. He is far worse at being a football player than any of those people are at any other professions.
[00:38:52] Speaker A: But you know what they say about the doctor who graduates last.
[00:38:54] Speaker B: Yeah. He was still a football player, but not any longer.
[00:38:57] Speaker A: Still a doctor. Yeah.
Again, you notice a trend throughout this whole thing for the free agents that.
[00:39:02] Speaker B: Anthony Schwartz is bad?
[00:39:03] Speaker A: Well, yeah, that but one year low dollar deals. We're just trying to build the roster here. And that's what happens when you build your team around 230 more.
So big of a contract, I can't even say $230,000,000 guaranteed. And it just goes to show you how they're going to have to be creative through free agency, through trades, all those things, not only this year, but in the next several years as well. And speaking of trades, we did have one major trade during the free agency period.
[00:39:37] Speaker B: This is the biggest trade in Cleveland history. Pretty much. It is.
[00:39:43] Speaker A: Wow, that's a bold, bold claim. I would disagree. I can't even tell you who else, but that's not it.
[00:39:51] Speaker B: Either way bigger than a Deshaun trade.
[00:39:55] Speaker A: Yeah, definitely.
Anyways, we acquired Elijah Moore from the New York Jets. And while I do love this trade, I think it was a great trade. Basically, what we gave up was a 2023 2nd round pick, number 42 overall. And what we got back in return was Elijah Moore and a 2023 3rd rounder number 74 overall from the New York Jets. So basically, for moving down 32 spots, you get Elijah Moore. And let's be honest here at that pick number 42, if we're looking at receiver, are you taking one of the guys in the draft right now, which seems to be top heavy, or are you taking Elijah Moore?
[00:40:35] Speaker B: I like Elijah Moore a lot.
[00:40:37] Speaker A: Exactly. I'm taking Elijah Moore at 42.
[00:40:39] Speaker B: If you go back to whatever week we played the jets last year, I mean, he was high on my like, he's the guy that can hurt us. He was the impact player of the.
[00:40:47] Speaker A: Game because they had ass quarterbacks all of last year.
[00:40:50] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, their quarterbacks are the worst. So I think there's a couple of things about Elijah Moore is a he's another guy that's a fast player can take the top off.
And I think everybody wanted Jerry Judy, right. Or Hopkins, but you just can't afford to make those moves right now.
[00:41:09] Speaker A: Where only one I had a little bit of hope for was Hopkins, that he would just take a discount because he's older. Because he's a little bit older. And just to play with Watson again and put up some Gaudy as, but I just think it was a real possibility.
[00:41:22] Speaker B: But this trade makes sense a thousand times over for the Browns because you don't lose that much to get him, and you get a player that is arguably we always talk about how draft picks are overvalued anyway. Are you going to draft a guy out of college that has a better skill set than this guy?
[00:41:39] Speaker A: No.
[00:41:39] Speaker B: What some people have apprehension about is the fact that Elijah Moore hasn't really put up big numbers to this point in his career. But to that, I say you played for the goddamn jets and you had ass quarterbacks and you had ass quarterbacks.
[00:41:51] Speaker A: And I know you had a guy that fumbled off an ass one time.
[00:41:54] Speaker B: And I know that Garrett Wilson had a good enough year last year, but let's be honest, he was the outlier, right?
The jets offense has been bad, and it was bad. They're trash. And so, look, a lot of people are worried that he was disgruntled in New York when they were winning, but the jets are trash. So I would be disgruntled there as well. I would be disgruntled if Zach Wilson was banging my mom. I would be disgruntled if Mike White was throwing me the ball. I would be disgruntled if Joe Flacco was throwing me the ball.
[00:42:28] Speaker A: I would be disgruntled if I played for the New York Jets.
[00:42:31] Speaker B: Yes. So I don't have any ill will or feeling toward a guy that was disgruntled playing for the jets. Even if things went okay for them last year, because let's be honest, okay is not good.
Despite the season that they had, which is an improvement for them, it wasn't like they were going to go to the Super Bowl. Nobody was saying, the jets are back. We'll see this year what happens with the jets.
Well, he's keeping receipts, but never got can. He can keep this receipt. Like, Elijah Moore is good. And he was under one clip from.
[00:43:05] Speaker A: Last season's episode of us saying the jets are trash. But I stand by my opinion that the jets are trash.
[00:43:10] Speaker B: Here's the deal. The jets are trash. Christmas came early in New York. You may not win another football game while you're trash.
[00:43:16] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[00:43:17] Speaker B: Yeah, they're trash. Look, Elijah Moore, I am thrilled with this trade. I think this guy is everything that the Browns receiving corps needed, and you got him at a very fair price. So I'm excited to see what he does. He's versatile, he's fast, he's strong.
The comparisons were made when he came into a guy like Steve Smith. So if he can give you to be Steve Smith, but if he can give you anything, close half of Steve Smith, you'll fit in on this offense. And if you can catch for 7800 yards in a Deshaun Watson air rate offense, great.
[00:43:49] Speaker A: I think the biggest thing with the receivers that they brought in and how they fit with like, Amari Cooper with DPJ, it seems like everybody has their own specialty.
So that you've built a complete wide receiver core.
Everybody does something very well and everything else pretty well. You've got a lot of solid receivers, a lot of guys that are going to be able to help Deshaun out. And then on top of that, you've got two tight ends now that are just freak athletes.
[00:44:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:44:21] Speaker A: Oh, we haven't even mentioned our running backs. Who?
Nicholas jamal chubb. Batman.
And I expect Nick Chubb actually to get more passes out of the backfield next year, which is something we've been calling for for years.
[00:44:36] Speaker B: I would hope so. Otherwise I don't know what he's going to do back there. He's a good blocker.
[00:44:40] Speaker A: That's a story for another day. Bottom line here, with free agency and the trade, did the Browns get better? I think they did. I think we got plenty better with the acquisitions. I mean, we addressed some much needed areas of need. Much needed areas of need. That's redundant.
[00:44:58] Speaker B: You're redundant.
[00:44:59] Speaker A: All right. And then so wide receivers, we got some speed, additional assets for Watson, like we mentioned, defensive tackle, complete overhaul of the position. I like the new faces. We got a couple potential impact players brought in, a few guys that can make big splashes. Like we said, solid starters. Not necessarily the traditional impact players like you're thinking, top tier talent guys, but guys that can still make an impact on this roster and as a team for the Cleveland Browns. But here's the rub for me.
[00:45:29] Speaker B: I'll rub you.
[00:45:31] Speaker A: Please don't. It's always the problem with the Browns.
You wouldn't think it's a problem, but it is a problem. The Browns always win the season.
[00:45:42] Speaker B: Don't just be a part of the problem.
[00:45:44] Speaker A: The Browns always win the offseason.
But I need to see them start winning in the regular season.
[00:45:55] Speaker B: I'd like to see them start winning anytime. Yeah.
Look, I agree with you. I think it's easy to get excited.
[00:46:02] Speaker A: About and I am excited, don't get.
[00:46:03] Speaker B: Me wrong about the team that they continue to build here. It's easy to look at guys like Elijah Moore. It's easy to look at Dalvin Tomlinson and go, yeah, we're going to be better off.
[00:46:18] Speaker A: And again, I think we are. My problem is I'm so reserved now.
This last year especially has really taught me to keep my emotions took that long.
[00:46:31] Speaker B: Yeah, they've been bad since 1999. Last year was the year you learned.
[00:46:37] Speaker A: We came in with so much going for us and it was just not good. But it taught me, like, I have to keep my emotions in check when it comes to the Browns because I need to see them perform before I can say this team is a good team.
[00:46:53] Speaker B: The best emotion when you're thinking about the Browns, there's no emotion. Is no emotion fair?
Pull back the flashy free agent signings, the winning the trade, the winning the press conference, bringing in new fresh faced coaches. And then look at the man that's still on top of that organization, the man that refused to give a play calling and get involved with the other two phases of the game. The guy that can't figure out who should get the ball and win when it's very clear to everybody else watching the game. So did they get better?
For me, it's really hard to say. Like Ronnie said, every year they win the offseason, and every year we go, yep, this is going to be great. And every year they're mediocre or ass. And I can't look at this group of players any differently than I looked at last year's group when we said on paper, this team is good. Well, where did paper get us? We were the paper champions of 2022.
[00:48:04] Speaker A: Paper ghosts.
[00:48:04] Speaker B: Paper ghosts. Whatever that means.
[00:48:08] Speaker A: No, I mean, you mentioned it, though, with Kevin. I don't know what it means either.
You mentioned it. I think it's a podcast that I'm listening to. Another podcast. It's not our podcast.
[00:48:18] Speaker B: Don't listen. It keeps lunging other people's stuff.
[00:48:20] Speaker A: Anyways, you mentioned Kevin Stefanski. I think it's no secret that this is a make or break year for the head coach, and I will actually go a step further. I think it's finally a make or break year for the front office again. We can sit here and say Andrew Barry played chess in the offseason so far and found a way to get us all these assets and whatever the case may be. But the fact is, we've got to see it. And if we don't see it, there's going to be major changes in Cleveland after next year.
[00:48:53] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm still on the working theory that Andrew Berry has probably bought himself at least one more head coach here because of the goodwill that he'll earn by winning on paper and letting Stefanski be the fall guy when this team is four and seven next year.
[00:49:11] Speaker A: But before I believe we got to see it, we got to see it. That's the bottom line.
[00:49:15] Speaker B: That's the bottom line.
[00:49:16] Speaker A: Because red Hot Ronnie Jam said so.
[00:49:19] Speaker B: Burning river sports guy said so.
Whoa.
[00:49:23] Speaker A: That's it for free agency.
[00:49:25] Speaker B: Do you have to wind up and yell that into the microphone.
[00:49:30] Speaker A: Of the free agency frenzy? And that'll take us to the Burning Rivers broadcast. Hot take outline.
Meet you me with the hot take outline. Don't forget to call us. Let us know what you think about free agency. Let us know what moves were good, what moves you didn't like, who's going to still be a coach, who's going to be gone, what front office members did their job, I guess let us know anything.

[00:50:18] Speaker A: All right. You know what time it is?
[00:50:20] Speaker B: What time is it? Nick chubb day.
[00:50:21] Speaker A: No, we're past that. It's still Nick Chubb day, but we're past that. Let's take a quick revenue break and get back here to talk about some of the coaching changes for the Browns.
[00:50:29] Speaker B: I love this. For us, you love everything.
[00:50:35] Speaker A: Kenny.
[00:50:36] Speaker B: That's me.
[00:50:37] Speaker A: Have you seen Ted Lasso yet?
[00:50:38] Speaker B: Call me Thunder. No, I've been meaning to watch that, though.
[00:50:43] Speaker A: It's a phenomenal show. My wife and I have watched season one and two so far. Waiting on season three to finish up so that we can binge watch that as well. [00:51:23] Speaker B: What's your favorite Jason Sudeikis movie?
[00:51:26] Speaker A: Horrible Bosses. 100%.
[00:51:30] Speaker B: Easy. That's the one.
[00:51:32] Speaker A: Yeah. Either that or meet the we're the Millers. We're the Millers. That's the one.
[00:51:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:51:36] Speaker A: That's a good one, too.
[00:51:37] Speaker B: It's got to be.
[00:51:38] Speaker A: That's a good one, too.
All right, so biggest free agency surprises for you, kenny, what do you got here? This is overall.
[00:51:46] Speaker B: Just overall?
Yeah, we're done talking about Browns free agency for now.
Look, we're at the end of March, going into April, and I find it fascinating that the Aaron Rodgers drama has not panned out just yet, that Aaron Rodgers still hasn't landed with the.
[00:52:11] Speaker A: Good writers.
[00:52:12] Speaker B: I think that's where everybody is expecting this to ultimately end. We had the Aaron Rodgers go into a cave smoking hiahuska. Now it comes out that he was smoking hiajuska with the Jake Paul brothers. They were in a cave with him, just a bunch of dudes in their underwear smoking hayahuska in a cave, and.
[00:52:28] Speaker A: Now he's in deprivation tanks for twelve.
[00:52:31] Speaker B: Days or whatever it was.
It's just interesting to me how this has all played out because he's been such a fixture in Green Bay. How could you spend that many days.
[00:52:43] Speaker A: With the Paw brothers?
[00:52:45] Speaker B: Do a lot of ayahuasca yeah, it's a great question, but to just have this kind of coming to what is appearing to be some kind of mutual split, where they've both just kind of said, divorce is imminent and differences are unreconcilable.
It's just interesting to me when you look at the history of, like, the Browns since 99 and you consider that the Green Bay Packers have had Bret Favre and Aaron Rogers.
We've had like 700 quarterbacks for the last 30 years.
[00:53:24] Speaker A: We've had so many quarterbacks can't fit all their names on a jersey.
[00:53:26] Speaker B: You had 15 years of Bret Favre and 15 years of Aaron Rogers.
That's it. And they're just like, yeah, we don't need this guy no more.
Look, I get it. He's a headache. He's a weirdo. He does date my girl.
[00:53:42] Speaker A: It's weird, though. It's weird how it kind of mirrors like Bret Favre. His career was just kind of 100% strange.
[00:53:50] Speaker B: And he's going to go to the jets, which Bret Farb did for a minute. Yeah.
[00:53:55] Speaker A: Had like the best year of his career.
[00:53:57] Speaker B: Just the fact that that hasn't really panned out yet. It's just getting late in the season for me thinking about free agency and wanting to start with a new team, especially if you're a 40 year old quarterback, to want to start to implement and work on some of these things.
[00:54:11] Speaker A: I mean, after as Hallucika, he kind of looks like he's like 48.
[00:54:16] Speaker B: Yeah. He is not aged well.
[00:54:19] Speaker A: You got Tom Brady over there, but Tom Brady also has a lot of work done on his face. But you got Tom Brady over there looking like he's still in high school.
[00:54:28] Speaker B: Tom Brady looks younger now than when he got drafted.
[00:54:31] Speaker A: Oh, by far. It's not even close. He looks like ten years younger than when he got drafted. It's the weirdest thing.
[00:54:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:54:37] Speaker A: And then you got Aaron Rogers that looks like he's literally like 65 year old man.
[00:54:42] Speaker B: Yeah. So anyway, I guess we'll see what happens there.
[00:54:45] Speaker A: But to me that saga has been pretty crazy. And it's weird because at this point, it seems like the packers are almost blocking the trade.
[00:54:52] Speaker B: Right.
[00:54:53] Speaker A: And on top of like, I don't understand the thinking of Aaron Rodgers coming out and saying, the jets is where I want to be. Because now that gives the packers all the leverage to say, okay, well, that's where you want to be. Well, they're going to have to pay us.
Like, you're under contract. The worst you're going to do is sit out. And they were already planning on benching you anyway.
[00:55:14] Speaker B: It's also just interesting that this is the world that we live in now. Aaron Rogers is still under contract with the Green Bay Packers. 100 million dollar contract for another year.
[00:55:25] Speaker A: I want to go to the jets.
[00:55:26] Speaker B: And he just comes out on a podcast and he's like, I'm going to play for the jets. And now apparently the world's just going to manifest that for him.
He just spoke it into existence and now it's going to happen. Thanks, Pat McAfee.
[00:55:41] Speaker A: For me, the biggest surprise so far is Lamar Jackson still doesn't have a home fair. I get it.
I get that the Ravens don't want to give him 250,000,000 plus guaranteed. I get it.
[00:55:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:55:55] Speaker A: Of all the bad that haslam has done here, the best thing that he's done is completely tanked the Ravens ability to negotiate a contract with their quarterback. That's the best thing he's done.
[00:56:09] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I mean, say what you want about Lamar, whether or not his skills are.
[00:56:13] Speaker A: They'Ve said that he just continues to point at Deshaun Watson's contract and say, I deserve more than that. I would.
[00:56:20] Speaker B: He's a former NFL MVP.
[00:56:22] Speaker A: Yeah, Deshaun's not Deshaun's not the league in passing, but he wasn't an MVP.
[00:56:26] Speaker B: He's rushed for more rushing yards than any quarterback ever.
[00:56:30] Speaker A: You were saying about Lamar Jackson?
[00:56:33] Speaker B: What I was saying about your point about the fact that Haslam has kind of ruined this for these guys. Look, you can see what you want about Lamar Jackson's skill set, whether or not he can throw the ball well or throw it far or stay healthy, all these things. I don't want to see him twice a gone. He's been a thorn in our side since he got drafted there.
I would love to see him take his asshole to the NFC where I don't got to see him ever again.
[00:57:02] Speaker A: I agree.
The funniest thing about this whole situation to me would be if he ends up with the New York Jets because the packers hold the trade up so long that they're like, we've got to sign somebody.
We got a bunch of money now because we cleared cap space and signed some assets at receiver. We're just going to throw it at Lamar Jackson.
[00:57:21] Speaker B: And Aaron Rodgers gets signed by the Paul Brothers to be on their podcast.
[00:57:25] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't know. But with that we're going to head on to the Cleveland coaching carousel.
[00:57:45] Speaker B: Yeah, no.
[00:57:48] Speaker A: You just dance around the circus music.
[00:57:50] Speaker B: I'm dancing on things.
[00:57:53] Speaker A: All right. So Mike prefer is gone and Raven TRone is in. Apparently he's Bubba now.
[00:58:00] Speaker B: I can't believe that we took our winter break right after the Super Bowl to regroup and get things ready for everything happened. Things like this, wanting to do cool things for the show, to give know cool shit, literally everything. And like literally the week that we went on hiatus, they're like Mike Prefer walking papers.
[00:58:18] Speaker A: Been waiting all season long for this moment.
[00:58:22] Speaker B: So while it's old news now, we're still going to celebrate.
[00:58:25] Speaker A: This is how they do me.
[00:58:27] Speaker B: So yeah, I mean look, they could have brought in a pile of dirt but it appears that they've I've contested.
[00:58:35] Speaker A: For a long time that nobody, nobody.
[00:58:37] Speaker B: Would be better than them, than Mike.
[00:58:38] Speaker A: Prefer and Joe Woods.
[00:58:40] Speaker B: Yeah. So the good news is the homophobe, Mike Prefer, he's gone and Bubba. Yeah, apparently he hit a name change somewhere along the line.
I remember when the reports first hit and it was like Bubba Ventron, I'm thinking.
[00:58:55] Speaker A: I remember long hair. He was Ray when he cut his hair.
[00:58:59] Speaker B: I remember Ray Ventron. I remember him being a special teams asset for a number of years.
Special teams stud here and then it's like, oh, it's the same guy. So Bubba, like I said, Ray with the long hair, look, they didn't get it. Good year last year in. Indianapolis, one of the better special teams units in the league. I'm just happy Mike prefer is gone.
[00:59:19] Speaker A: I really like this because Mike Prefer is gone.
[00:59:23] Speaker B: The book is open on Buba Ray. Ventron.
[00:59:28] Speaker A: Bubble ray.
[00:59:29] Speaker B: Buba Ray.
We need a pair of gym shorts and a shirt. Just says Bubba Ray.
[00:59:38] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:59:39] Speaker B: If you haven't checked out our merch yet, go check that out. Ronie, where can I find the merch?
[00:59:43] Speaker A: Tapin media shop.
[00:59:48] Speaker B: Buba ray shirts coming soon.
[00:59:50] Speaker A: Got some flags, some shirts.
[00:59:54] Speaker B: It'll. Just say Bubba Ray. And on the back it'll say, I'm not Mike Prefer champion.
So he can do no wrong at this point.
[01:00:18] Speaker A: Yeah. And then to recap, Joe Woods is gone and Jim Schwartz is in. So got us a new pair of gym shorts.
[01:00:24] Speaker B: New pair of gym shorts.
[01:00:25] Speaker A: Again, another solid move. We already talked about this one, though, so we're going to kind of skip over that. And we'll say again, the Browns won every aspect of offseason thus far. Thus far, every single one. If we just went by what's on paper in the offseason, the Browns are.
[01:00:40] Speaker B: Super bowl champs, paper champs, paper ghosts.
[01:00:45] Speaker A: Oh, man. But one thing I do see that is very apparent in every move that they've made within the organization this offseason is that it is officially do or die time for Kevin Stefanski, which is.
[01:00:58] Speaker B: A mistake because he should have died last year.
Not like Rip died, but he should have been canned.
[01:01:05] Speaker A: He now has what could be considered a stacked lineup of coaches around him. Couple that with the roster, that the roster they've built, and he has absolutely zero excuses for losing anymore. Basically, they need to compete, and they need to compete immediately when the year starts. I mean, you start slow, by midseason, you're probably not around. Mean, I think you made the joke earlier today to me, four and seven is what they're going to start. And if they start four and seven, everyone's fired.
[01:01:35] Speaker B: Fire sale.
[01:01:36] Speaker A: Everyone's fired.
[01:01:37] Speaker B: I have a foolproof plan to save Kevin Stefanski.
[01:01:40] Speaker A: Fire. Kevin stefanski.
[01:01:43] Speaker B: If you went back to that playoff game that he didn't coach in oh, coach from home.
[01:01:47] Speaker A: That's the foolproof plan that we won.
[01:01:49] Speaker B: Nick Chubb got 31 carries for 145 yards and had six or seven catches for another 60 and a touchdown.
[01:01:57] Speaker A: Simple.
[01:01:58] Speaker B: Want to keep your job? There you go. 24 all day. That's all you got to do.
[01:02:04] Speaker A: Want to win? Put 24 in. That's right.
Oh, man. All right, so that takes us to the Budy River sports again. 330-227-8080. Call us now. Talk to us about anything you want to talk to us about. Cabs guardians Browns.
You.
[01:02:23] Speaker B: Me. You.
[01:02:24] Speaker A: I almost said Indians and it threw me off. The Indians aren't a team anymore.
[01:02:29] Speaker B: We can't talk about that anymore.
[01:02:30] Speaker A: No, you can talk about that if you want. On the Burning River forecast. Hot take hotline. Let us know what you think.
[01:02:35] Speaker B: We won't take your calls. We talk about the Indians. We won't play them.
[01:02:38] Speaker A: All right. We won't take literally the only calls. We won't take. But call us now.
[01:02:44] Speaker B: No, we'll only play it if you call about the Indians. Oh, we will, yes. None of the other calls. Browns, Cavaliers, no, they don't make it.
[01:02:53] Speaker A: Call us. Talk to us about anything. We want to hear from you.
[01:02:56] Speaker B: 3302-2780-8033-0227-8080-3302-278.
[01:03:07] Speaker A: All right, that leads us into for the land.
All right. The Cleveland Guardians start their season this week. April 30 is their season opener at Seattle. They start on a long road trip and then come back to April 30.
March 30. March 30. This is why we need why you need me. Yeah, we need the guys that catch our errors and omissions.
[01:03:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:03:44] Speaker A: March 30 is their season opener at Seattle. They start on a long road trip and then come back to Progressive Field for the home opener on April 7.
[01:03:52] Speaker B: Which I'm glad that baseball is finally smartening up to this because we've had a number play in Northeast and it's still sketchy when they come back because it's April, but at least it's a.
[01:04:02] Speaker A: Couple of weeks later.
[01:04:02] Speaker B: They're doing a better job of scheduling these things to start with road trips for Midwest teams.
[01:04:07] Speaker A: I need some global warming.
[01:04:08] Speaker B: I wish I had some.
[01:04:11] Speaker A: But I'm excited about baseball season. They have improved their roster slightly, added a few key players, pitching still outstanding, and they even bolstered the bullpen a little bit.
So where things are going to get tough for them this year, I think, is that everyone knows they're good now. Last year, kind of nobody knew.
[01:04:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:04:30] Speaker A: Now everybody knows they won't be able to take anyone by surprise this season. And some of the other teams in the division seem to have improved as well, albeit we do play in the worst division in baseball.
[01:04:40] Speaker B: I mean, you just think about, like, last year, and you think about how small the expectations were for that team and then to put 92 wins on the board, which was the most since 2017. Right. And that was a pretty well paid staff at that point. But yeah, this team is returning a bunch of the key players from last year.
You have a new bat in Bell, so I don't know if he's going to be a long term Guardian.
[01:05:10] Speaker A: Another big move that they did, they're carrying three catchers.
[01:05:13] Speaker B: This.
That Mike Zanino.
[01:05:17] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, they picked up him.
The benefit of carrying three catchers for this team, especially the way that they play baseball, is it allows for more opportunities to get some of their utility players in for pinch hitting.
They can get in there. They could get at bats and hopefully help the offense generate some runs.
[01:05:39] Speaker B: Well, yeah, they had the highest contact rate in baseball last year, so that's their game. I mean, they play a very different ballgame, which is kind of why they're fun to watch right now, to be honest.
But yeah, to your point, they have a bunch of guys that can play in spots, and then you have a few kind of key pieces that they continue to build around. You still have a very strong bullpen, a couple of good starters, and I think that Shane Bieber, Tristan McKenzie, you're going to be great there.
Cal quant is still there. Police Ballet. You've got guys that can keep this ball club afloat. It's just a matter of can they stay healthy? Because that was a problem a bit last year. But yeah, I'm looking really forward to this season. I think that, like you said, everybody's going to know they're coming, though. This is the worst division of baseball. Here's the deal.
[01:06:36] Speaker A: They're going to battle the Twins for the division, and if their lack of depth doesn't catch up to them, the White Sox will actually possibly make a run this year. But they don't have any depth. So a couple of injuries and they're going to be out of it. They might bottom out completely, but what the Guardians have that nobody else in the Central has is Terry Francona Amen. I mean, he's the best coach in baseball.
[01:07:00] Speaker B: That's it. I mean, I don't know how this guy doesn't win Manager of the Year every year.
[01:07:04] Speaker A: He should.
[01:07:06] Speaker B: He does more with less than anybody else on the planet.
[01:07:10] Speaker A: Now, here's a bold prediction for me, though.
Ale, Central winner this year only has 85 wins. I think the Central is pretty bad again.
[01:07:20] Speaker B: You think the Guardians are going to be worse this year than they were last year?
[01:07:24] Speaker A: Potentially.
So they were just above 500 outside of division play last year and then dominated the division. They're like 40 some wins in the division.
[01:07:36] Speaker B: Yeah, the division is ass.
[01:07:37] Speaker A: Yeah. So what I think happens this year is I think that they come back to Earth a little bit in the division. It's a bad division, but I think that you still see those teams over and over again. You learn a lot about those teams. So I think they still, for the most part, dominate the division, but I think they probably win about seven games less in the division than they did last year just because they dominated so much last year.
[01:08:05] Speaker B: That's fair.
[01:08:07] Speaker A: So 85 wins. That's what I say the Central winner has this year.
[01:08:10] Speaker B: And are the Guardians a central winner? Oh, yeah.
[01:08:15] Speaker A: I think the Twins might give us a run, but I will go like the Guardians.
[01:08:18] Speaker B: We're making prediction, bold predictions here.
[01:08:20] Speaker A: Predictions.
[01:08:21] Speaker B: Let's hear it.
[01:08:21] Speaker A: Yeah. What do you got? What do you got?
[01:08:23] Speaker B: I'm going to go Guardians to Encroaching on 100 wins this year.
[01:08:29] Speaker A: You're not going over?
[01:08:30] Speaker B: Not over. No. I think it's tough.
[01:08:32] Speaker A: Just go over.
[01:08:33] Speaker B: It's tough. Just do it.
[01:08:36] Speaker A: Be bold.
[01:08:37] Speaker B: I think it's tough to go over.
[01:08:38] Speaker A: Let me get this straight. We improved our roster and your bold prediction is we've gained four wins, Budy.
[01:08:44] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, you went from a payroll of, like, whatever dismal number 36 or 38 million last year to 90. 90.
[01:08:51] Speaker A: Your bold prediction is we gained four.
[01:08:53] Speaker B: Wins this year, and you're still bottom ten in the league.
[01:08:57] Speaker A: That's not a bold prediction, man.
[01:08:59] Speaker B: My bold prediction is that the Guardians will encroach on 100 wins this year. I'm going to call it 97 gained five wins.
[01:09:08] Speaker A: Everybody.
[01:09:08] Speaker B: And I'm so disappointed. Will indeed be mine.
[01:09:13] Speaker A: At least I said we'd go down. That's bold, man. You got better, and we're going to get worse.
[01:09:16] Speaker B: But they will indeed win the division again.
[01:09:28] Speaker A: All right, so next up, we got the Cleveland Cavaliers have officially clinched a playoff spot.
We're going to the ship. At least we're going to the playoff.
Since we've been gone, there's been a lot of trades in the NBA that have really shipped things.
[01:09:47] Speaker B: The whole sports world just woke up.
[01:09:49] Speaker A: When we went on a sportscast taking a break. Let's make everything happen.
[01:09:53] Speaker B: Trade kyrie again.
[01:09:54] Speaker A: The nets are officially done. They've been decimated by trades, and it looks like the Cavs are going to end up with a top four seed in the east. Been playing very good basketball down the stretch, don't seem to be afraid of anybody.
[01:10:06] Speaker B: And that three seed is really within reach right now.
[01:10:09] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. So I look for this team to make some serious, serious noise in the postseason, and I think it's going to be a lot of fun to watch. I think we match up well with just about anybody.
[01:10:20] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Look, I can't wait. I think the Bucks are good, but when I look at the teams that are in this playoff race right now, and you look at the Celtics and the 76, ers, and the Knicks, these aren't teams that I look at and think we can't beat these teams in the first round.
And so obviously, if you obviously have a third seed, you'd be playing one of the Nets or the Heat or someone. So this whole east right now, to me, looks wide open. I mean, even the number east is.
[01:10:53] Speaker A: The better conferences, but even the Bucks.
[01:10:57] Speaker B: Are at, I think, 53 wins right now. So you still have a week or two of games left to play, but there's nobody that's a standout that's like, wow, they're heads and tails above everybody else. So I think this Cavaliers team can.
[01:11:11] Speaker A: Did you see the crazy stat recently? It said the leading it was a Tim Duncan stat, and it said the best record in the NBA through this many games this year. And it showed the teams with the best records, and it said Tim Duncan average wins through this time of the year every year. And it was like four games better than the best team in the NBA this year.
[01:11:35] Speaker B: Tim Duncan was pretty good, but I just think that this Cavaliers team can compete with anybody, so I'm looking forward to it. Obviously, there's no expectations of them winning at all this year, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they made some kind of run and went deep into this thing. So I'm hopeful of them securing the third seed and hopeful that they may snag like the Jet Jets, the Nets in the first round.
You win a playoff series, build some experience.
[01:12:05] Speaker A: If they did win it all this year, though, I feel like that's arguably a much like, all right. Not a bigger story, I guess, than 2016 says. The first championship in forever. We came back against the best team in NBA history after being down three. One is just the craziest, just storybook ending.
[01:12:22] Speaker B: There's the movie ever.
[01:12:24] Speaker A: However, I think it's more surprising if you look at from the beginning of the season to who's on the roster and what team you have versus the rest of the league. If they were able to win it all this year, that's a way bigger surprise than the Cavs winning it in 2016 100%.
[01:12:40] Speaker B: Because I think there's still questions about your head coach who's done a phenomenal job. Look, I'm not trying to take anything away from him right now, but I think if there's one thing that people have called into question this year, I think it's been the way he's handled, like, ends of games. They've started flat a number of times and they have all this talent, but we didn't think, like, this is the guy that's going to win us a championship. Right. This wasn't the Pedigreed coach that we thought, he's definitely going to win it, but yeah, he's done a nice job. So I just think yeah, to your point, there's not expectations there. And I think that if they did win this whole thing, it would be wildly impressive.
I don't know what that says about the rest of the NBA, just the aging NBA. It's like all the guys that we grew up with, it's like we're on.
[01:13:32] Speaker A: The verge of a prejudice of all these players.
[01:13:35] Speaker B: And you look at some of these guys that are your Luca Donchicks and these guys that are just I mean, they're the new face of the league.
And guys like Kyrie and Kawhi and you kick Kevin Durant, all these guys are either beat up and broken or being traded.
[01:13:56] Speaker A: Yeah, I like our chance. I'm excited for the postseason here. We will have some pretty good postseason coverage on our social media channel pages, so check that out.
[01:14:04] Speaker B: Yeah, I think we'll follow the playoffs really closely. We'll probably do some remote pods just to stay in touch.
[01:14:09] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm in.
So that'll do it for the land. In closing here, are we done? What can we expect next week?
[01:14:20] Speaker B: Kenny next Episode Kenny Next Episode because throughout the season, we will be bringing you the burning of a sports cast. Biweekly oops.
Biweekly for the rest of the offseason up until basically the preseason of the Browns. So in two weeks, we will be back with all of our Shenanigans and Browns updates, guardians updates as they start their season, and a check in on the Cavs playoff run.
[01:14:57] Speaker A: All right, so social media, don't forget to check us out on all social media. Tap in media is on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. That's right. [01:15:35] Speaker A: Is it time? Do you know what it's time for facts for.
[01:15:43] Speaker B: Make us sound like that.
Yeah, I like that. Put a poll up. See if someone cares. They don't care. Spoiler. By this point in the show, no one is even left listening.
[01:15:56] Speaker A: Nobody cares. Nobody cares.
[01:15:57] Speaker B: But if they're not listening now, they're missing the best part of the show, because this is Facts for days.
[01:16:04] Speaker A: You got for me?
[01:16:05] Speaker B: Where's Canada?
[01:16:06] Speaker A: Come on. North.
[01:16:07] Speaker B: North. North of us, right?
[01:16:09] Speaker A: North.
[01:16:10] Speaker B: Where's? Seattle.
West. West. But it's in the United States, right?
[01:16:15] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:16:15] Speaker B: So Canada is north of the United States.
[01:16:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:16:21] Speaker B: Not a trick question.
[01:16:24] Speaker A: Alaska.
[01:16:25] Speaker B: But what is interesting is that Seattle rests at 45 degrees latitude.
[01:16:32] Speaker A: That Earth is curved, which is further.
[01:16:34] Speaker B: North than both Toronto and Montreal, meaning that over 64% of Canadians live south of Seattle. Man, you wouldn't have thought that sphere.
Well, just like you don't think about the Pacific Northwest being like, so high north. Right?
You just think like, Canada's.
[01:16:54] Speaker A: It's a circle.
[01:16:55] Speaker B: Canada just up there. It's a circle. Number two.
[01:16:59] Speaker A: That's a good one. I like it.
[01:17:00] Speaker B: That's a good fact, right?
[01:17:02] Speaker A: 64% of Canada.
[01:17:04] Speaker B: 60.
The majority of Canadians live south of Seattle.
[01:17:08] Speaker A: Well, the whole northern part of Canada is uninhabited.
[01:17:12] Speaker B: Yeah, but still, when you think about we still think Canada is above us.
[01:17:16] Speaker A: Number two.
[01:17:18] Speaker B: Number two.
The French.
The French. This isn't going to be popular overseas with our global podcast audience.
[01:17:27] Speaker A: French.
[01:17:28] Speaker B: But since the French already hate us, I think it's worth mentioning that more French soldiers died during World War I than all American soldiers that have ever fought in any war since 1775.
[01:17:41] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[01:17:45] Speaker B: France lost over 1.36 million soldiers in World War I, while the US. Has lost 1.35 million soldiers all time.
I'm not sure what that says about the French. Just maybe that they're better at making croissants than combat.
[01:18:02] Speaker A: Wow.
[01:18:03] Speaker B: I don't know how you figure that one out.
[01:18:05] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
This is legitimately one of the most mind blowing stats I've ever heard, ever. Yeah, that's just that war.
There was other wars. They fought so many. Oh, my God.
[01:18:18] Speaker B: They're so bad at it.
[01:18:19] Speaker A: I know we've only been around for like, 200 and some years, but holy hell, yeah.
[01:18:24] Speaker B: One more.
They got it bad.
[01:18:30] Speaker A: Really got me today.
Wow.
[01:18:33] Speaker B: And then finally to the final frontier. To space. No.
Is that Alaska? Am I mixed up? Is it me or is it.
[01:18:45] Speaker A: Was it was once the final there's a.
[01:18:47] Speaker B: TV show like Alaska the last Frontier.
[01:18:49] Speaker A: Maybe it was the last frontier, not the final frontier.
[01:18:52] Speaker B: There's got to be space, right?
We won't go there. We won't go there. I actually read a real interesting theory, side note, sidebar that space was actually the bottom of the ocean. Like it was a flat Earth thing, but somehow that was going into outer space was, I don't know, wild.
But speaking of space, let's think about time.
[01:19:18] Speaker A: Time, because it's time.
[01:19:21] Speaker B: The burning river sports gas. And it's just interesting that we all think about time as the static number, right? 24 hours in a day, 365 days in a year. But time is not quite fixed like that, right? It's not a static number. And there's a number of reasons for this, but primarily is the Moon, because you go back to high school, object of motion tends to stay in motion unless something slows it down to vacuum and space. So we should just be continually spinning at the same rate and orbiting. But we're not, because the Moon imparts friction on us with the tides and spatial gravity, torque, all these things. So the Earth is actually slowing down.
The spinning of the Earth every year slows down.
[01:20:12] Speaker A: So one day by how much?
[01:20:14] Speaker B: One day, approximately 175,000,000 years from now, a day will actually be 25 hours long.
It's not a good fact anymore.
We lose about two milliseconds every century.
Great.
[01:20:33] Speaker A: Worst fact I ever heard.
[01:20:36] Speaker B: That is interesting.
[01:20:37] Speaker A: Are you kidding?
[01:20:38] Speaker B: 600 million years ago, a day was like 21 hours.
[01:20:43] Speaker A: Bro.
[01:20:44] Speaker B: But we have only ever known Nick Chubb to be a day.
[01:20:49] Speaker A: It's Nick Chubb day.
[01:20:53] Speaker B: What's also interesting, too, is that because of Big Bang, right, the universe is always expanding.
[01:21:00] Speaker A: Yeah. So the Moon is going to impart less and less friction because we're going to get further and further away from the Moon.
[01:21:05] Speaker B: And if we get further and further away from the Moon and the sun, more importantly, we'll die. Well, a long time from now. Yeah, but every year, every year, we move about one and a half centimeters further from the sun.
[01:21:20] Speaker A: It's going to be cold one day.
[01:21:21] Speaker B: It's going to be cold one day. But more importantly, I'm not talking about the weather. I'm talking about time. We'll do weather another day.
More importantly, your day will get longer, 135,000,000 years, and your year will get longer because your orbit around the sun is going to gradually get bigger and take longer to go around.
[01:21:40] Speaker A: Theoretically, humans will live less time, but more time.
Yeah.
That's the fact. You were looking for I summed it up for you. And now your mind is blown.
[01:21:54] Speaker B: Or not, though, because I did find a story that last year, on June 29, the Earth actually completed its rotation 1.5 milliseconds. 1.59 milliseconds faster than it's ever been recorded in human history.
[01:22:07] Speaker A: The hell happened there?
[01:22:08] Speaker B: So for all of human history, we've measured time. And the spinning of the Earth, it's always slowed down. And then last year, I don't know, eclipses or something happens.
[01:22:18] Speaker A: Here's what?
[01:22:18] Speaker B: The point is, no one knows anything about space. We're making it up as we go, every single day, and that's a problem. Don't just be a part of the problem. Be the whole damn problem.
[01:22:28] Speaker A: And only you can prevent river fires.
[01:22:34] Speaker B: Burning river sports cast burning river feels.
[01:22:38] Speaker A: Good to be back, baby feels good.
[01:22:40] Speaker B: To be back, baby back in the saddle again catch them all, got to catch them all I want to be the very best yeah, this is a good show, but we're right on cue. Hour and a half. Good job, budy.
[01:22:58] Speaker A: Good job.
[01:23:02] Speaker B: Epstein didn't kill himself.
[01:23:03] Speaker A: No. No way. Burning river is worse.
[01:23:07] Speaker B: The hottest steak of all. Burning river, burning river, burning river we walk in the garden of its turbulence.
[01:23:29] Speaker A: What'S your name? Fuck you. That's my name.
Ah.
[01:23:41] Speaker B: Just do you know how you tell a story?
No, I don't know. You said it. How do I know? You said I'm funny.
[01:23:48] Speaker A: Everyone in this room is now dumber.
