Show Notes

It's week 13 and it's Thanksgiving! It's time to count your blessings and be thankful for what we do have - or don't have - in our life. For Browns fans there isn't much but here's some things we can give thanks for:

  1. The Browns beat the Steelers on TNF
  2. Jameis Winston is a National Treasure and may be the bridge QB that we need as this team rebuilds
  3. Nick Chubb seems to be returning to form
  4. Myles Garrett sounds like he'll be on a mission the rest of the year hunting for sacks
  5. Out of our fan base was born the Browns Backers who do so much good around the world and represent who we are so well
  6. We no longer have Deshaun Watson as our QB1

There are probably more but these are the things that came to mind right off the top of our heads. So think about and reflect on your blessings while you listen to the next 2.5 hours of warm, steaming BRS goodness that comes straight from the Tap In Media kitchen!

On this edition of BRS we bring you the Week 12 Recap for the win against the Steelers in a rare snow game, Dawg of the Week, the Division Roundup, our Hot 3 Thanksgiving foods, an interview with the Pikes Peak Browns Backers, King of the North, Gassed Up, the Week 13 Preview for the game against the Broncos in Mile High, and oh so much more!

So loosen up that belt because we're about to stuff you so full of good stuff that you won't be able to move for the next 48 hours! And we break it all down for you on the Burning River Sportscast!

[00:00:09] Speaker A: Browns fans love to support their team on the road, but planning every detail is a hassle. Each Browns trip includes flights, hotels, an exclusive tailgate game, tickets, transportation, food, drinks and more. You'll even have access to former Cleveland Browns players during a private meet and greet and Q and A. [00:00:31] Speaker B: Go Browns. [00:00:33] Speaker A: Visit TrueFanTravel.com today and reserve your ultimate Browns travel package. It's time. Time for the Burning River Sportscast. I'm never going to poo poo a win. A win is a win. Something we haven't seen enough of this year. Something we likely won't see much of the rest of this season. Better yet, it was a win against Pittsburgh. So let's enjoy this moment, what it means, how it feels to be victorious against a bitter rival. And now that we've enjoyed our victory lap, it's time to just be pissed again. It didn't have to be this way. This team has beat two of the best teams in the NFL since the desean injury. Remember that when people cheered for a chance to actually win a game? How dastardly. Again, I'm not here to say let's not enjoy this win. I hate Pittsburgh as much as the next guy. But please just don't forget how we got here. Each week this organization got up in front of the millions and millions of Browns fans and declared desean Watson gives us the best chance to win. Which hopes, hopefully we can all see now was an infantile exaggeration. Worse yet, a cover up. We knew it wasn't true then, and it's been validated by the simply competent play of one Jameis Winston. Now. So as you look at your draft boards and mark your favorite free agents coming into next year, just don't forget how we got here. A lying, cowardly, impotent, spineless organization that's top priority never included winning. So don't be lulled into giving these guys yet another chance by a few meaningless feel good moments. At the end of this voyage, if your priority is anything except cold, calculated winning, you've got no business in an NFL front office or a coaching staff. There's plenty of seats in Congress for shadowy figures, nefarious politicking and people who wish to accomplish nothing. But stay away from my Browns. Never forget, we'll break it all down for you. Next on the Burning River Sportscast, John Goodman, the greatest American actor of all time. [00:03:01] Speaker B: Of course. 100%. Name one better. You can't. [00:03:05] Speaker A: I'll Wait, can't do it. [00:03:07] Speaker B: Can I keep talking? [00:03:09] Speaker A: What's that big chicken? [00:03:10] Speaker C: I can't remember. [00:03:11] Speaker A: What's his name? [00:03:12] Speaker B: The assiest. [00:03:13] Speaker A: The assiest ass of all the asses. [00:03:15] Speaker B: Yeah, I agree. [00:03:17] Speaker C: The stinkiest garbage you could imagine. [00:03:18] Speaker A: This is so stinky. [00:03:19] Speaker B: It's the worst. [00:03:22] Speaker A: Whether it's Kevin or not, the motivation still existed in this organization to play DeSean because of his contract and the money. Even when everyone could see he wasn't good. That's a huge. That is a whole business operation that does not care about the product on the field and winning. [00:03:41] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Later, later. You're feeling that later. Yeah, it's not a good day. [00:03:45] Speaker A: You're smelling it later. [00:03:45] Speaker B: Yeah, it's got the farts. Thanks, Bone. [00:03:52] Speaker C: I always look forward to. It is sweet potato casserole. And it didn't happen one year. Like me and my brother in law, like, apparently, apparently we both the worst Thanksgiving ever. [00:04:07] Speaker D: We were winning that game and everybody was pumped and we were up and we're like, oh my God, are we actually going to pull this off in the snow? And then the Steelers came back and they pulled ahead and then we all were like, oh, did we just browns it up? [00:04:20] Speaker A: The rest of this crew is about as threatening as my butthole dressed like Bozo the Clown. I mean, look, I get that Tom Cruise looks insane, but like, look, let's be honest. He drinks the blood of virgins inside of L. Ron Hubbard's volcano like twice a week. [00:04:33] Speaker C: Yeah, man, that's hard. [00:04:35] Speaker A: Yep, that's what she said. [00:04:37] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:04:42] Speaker B: Nice. [00:04:44] Speaker C: Man, oh man. I'm gonna go. [00:04:51] Speaker B: We're laughing about she said. [00:04:59] Speaker A: Welcome into the Burning River Sportscast, presented by the fine folks at Tappan Media. I'm Kenny Thunder, joined today by the enormously Harry Gr. Morbidly obese Red Hot. Ronnie Jams on the board today. If helium were oxygen, he'd be a balloon. All right, that one didn't land, but he's still the big bone man. [00:05:15] Speaker B: It couldn't land. It had helium bone. [00:05:17] Speaker A: If you ever owned a horse, do you think you would race it? [00:05:21] Speaker C: No, I'd probably raise it for meat. [00:05:23] Speaker B: The horse? [00:05:25] Speaker C: Yeah, it's legal to eat in Canada. [00:05:29] Speaker A: What the fuck? It's probably fair enough. You'd lose. Horses are really fast. Back to red hot. Where can our listeners find the dopest dope they ever heard? On a podcast, the number one ranked football podcast. [00:06:17] Speaker A: Patch of Hoolean. [00:06:18] Speaker B: No patches because brownstronaut was on and he wanted a patch, so we made them. So they're in there. [00:06:22] Speaker A: Patches of Houlihan. Rest in peace. [00:06:24] Speaker B: Yeah. Rip. Rip. He had a sign fall on him. [00:06:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:30] Speaker B: Today on the show, this is what you look Forward to. Week 12 recap. A dog of the week division roundup around the NFL Hot 3, an interview with the Brownsbackers group This week, the Pikes Peak Browns backers king of the north, gassed up week 13 preview and oh, so much more. So give thanks because regardless of how the season is going or how much we've had to endure as Browns fans, we just beat the Steelers. And I'm thankful that we have a football team here in Cleveland because not everybody does. And so with that, let's get things started with the Burning River News story of the week. [00:07:13] Speaker A: That was the most immediate foreshadowing of all time. With patches, we'll be good. As long as we have patches. [00:07:28] Speaker B: Nothing could slow us down. All right, guys, let's talk about Ohio State football. We don't do that enough on our podcast because it's a Browns podcast. We all like Ohio State. So the Buckeyes just wiped the floor with Indiana this past week. Hoosiers? No. Hoosiers? No. [00:07:47] Speaker A: Oh, no, no. They were 10 and changed their name. [00:07:50] Speaker B: No. [00:07:51] Speaker C: They're stupid darlings in the Big ten. [00:07:53] Speaker B: I've told you about doing the chance of other teams on this show. I'm sick of it. [00:07:58] Speaker A: Is that even the chain? [00:07:59] Speaker C: Wait a second. [00:08:00] Speaker A: Does that even do it right? [00:08:01] Speaker B: I don't know. I'm not an Indiana fan. I'm not. I'm not an idiot. But yeah, this. They wiped the floor at them this past week. And I say this. Indiana fans just came out of the. [00:08:13] Speaker A: I'll say this. Let me say this. You sound like. What's this face from Looney Tunes? [00:08:18] Speaker C: Daffy Duck? [00:08:19] Speaker A: No. What was the big chicken. [00:08:22] Speaker B: You guys seeing this? [00:08:25] Speaker A: Let me tell you this. [00:08:27] Speaker B: Can I. Can I keep talking? [00:08:29] Speaker A: What's that big chicken. [00:08:30] Speaker C: I can't remember his name. [00:08:33] Speaker B: Foghorn Leghorn. [00:08:33] Speaker A: Foghorn Leghorn. [00:08:34] Speaker C: Yes. [00:08:35] Speaker B: Anyways, Indiana fans came out of the woodwork and we're talking shit all week for this game. They thought because they were 10 and O and as Bone so eloquently put it, the darlings of the Big Ten, that they were going to come in and beat Ohio State. Well, welcome. Welcome to the big leagues, boys. [00:08:53] Speaker A: Welcome to the Big Ten. [00:08:55] Speaker B: Yeah, because you guys have been playing the likes of, like, Rutgers and Maryland and all the other bottom feeders in the Big Ten. You haven't played Ohio State. Well, now you have, and you lost. [00:09:04] Speaker A: I was just confused. I was like. I was like, are they. Are they. Are they serious? Like, I Knew they were 10 and no, but, like, are they serious? No, they weren't serious because, like, you haven't you. I mean, you're playing Ohio State. Yeah, he's not going to win that game. [00:09:17] Speaker B: They don't understand. They've been lucky enough to not have to play like, any of the top teams. [00:09:21] Speaker A: You'll lose that battle nine times out of ten, my friend. [00:09:23] Speaker B: We'll see you guys outgunned, and we'll see in the. [00:09:25] Speaker C: In the College Football Playoff how well they do. [00:09:27] Speaker A: And now we have a taste for Hoosier. [00:09:29] Speaker B: Yeah, whatever the fuck a Hoosier is. But, yeah, so they beat Indiana handily. Like I said, 31, 14 or whatever it was. I think so. [00:09:40] Speaker A: It was a lot. [00:09:41] Speaker B: By a lot. Yeah, Indiana knocked even. [00:09:44] Speaker A: My mom watched the game and she was like, you got a hand? So I started, like, putting Christmas decorations up. [00:09:50] Speaker B: Good choice. Good choice. And this week is the big week. It's the week of the game. They're playing Michigan this week. The only time I will say that name, this whole podcast. But that team up north, they've won, what, what is it, three, four times. [00:10:04] Speaker A: In a row now since COVID basically. [00:10:07] Speaker B: I think it's up to four. [00:10:08] Speaker A: Covid, Is it up to four? [00:10:09] Speaker C: Is it up to four? [00:10:10] Speaker B: I think it's three. I think it's three. They've won three in a row. Well, they're not going to win this year. They're going to get humped. [00:10:16] Speaker A: Well, no, Connor Stallions isn't there to recruit. [00:10:20] Speaker B: Nobody's cheating anymore. Yeah, they're on their best behavior because they know they're under investigation. Yeah. So the Buckeyes are going to kill them. And then here's where things get real is the week after that we get a rematch with Oregon. [00:10:35] Speaker A: That's the game I'm looking for, redemption week. [00:10:38] Speaker B: And I, you know, I'm just going to say it now. I predict Ohio State beats Oregon in the Big Ten championship and is the number one seed going into the college football playoffs. [00:10:47] Speaker A: I think they come out in that game just barn burner. I think, I think they win by two scores just to prove a point. [00:10:52] Speaker B: Yeah, I agree. And it's funny because Ohio State's quarterback is not getting enough attention as far as the Heisman goes. [00:11:01] Speaker A: Yeah, he's been solid all year. [00:11:03] Speaker B: Yeah, the dude from Oregon gets all the hype. And if you look at their numbers. [00:11:08] Speaker A: Yeah, Will Howard's been good. [00:11:09] Speaker B: Will Howard's much better. Like his stats are much better than the Oregon's stats. [00:11:15] Speaker C: Gabriel. [00:11:16] Speaker B: Gabriel. Yeah, I couldn't think of. Yeah, his. Will Howard's stats are much better than his. But the fact that they beat us is the only reason he sits up top. [00:11:23] Speaker A: I mean, I'm even surprised, like, I'm surprised that like his name isn't even being mentioned like for like draft boards. It was like a mid, like I feel like he's a big, ready, like sized guy that's now maybe he's the guy now played in a premier program. [00:11:35] Speaker C: Like I feel like he's like a Josh Allen body. He's a pretty big dude. [00:11:38] Speaker A: Yeah, he's a big guy. He's got a strong arm. I mean he's now. And he's now proven in multiple programs like he can win. [00:11:43] Speaker B: And maybe he's that guy in the draft though is he ends up going mid round and then surprises everyone and he's like, I'm the guy. [00:11:49] Speaker A: Russell Wilson. [00:11:50] Speaker B: Yep. [00:11:50] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:11:51] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:51] Speaker A: So I just am surprised, like his name isn't even talked about at all. I mean, to your point, even like the high, like it's just like nobody cares. He's been good. [00:11:58] Speaker B: I just like, it seems like maybe. [00:12:02] Speaker A: We'Ve just been like spoiled by good quarterbacks in recent years at Ohio State. Like everybody. [00:12:06] Speaker B: Well, they finally, Ohio State has finally produced several starting quarterbacks in the NFL like in a row. Whether or not they lasted as starting quarterbacks, they at least produced NFL caliber quarterbacks. Multiple quarterbacks in a row. And it's kind of the opposite of the early 2000s. If you remember. We always just had. It was just a bunch Of Jags besides, besides Troy Smith. [00:12:26] Speaker A: Guys that would get drafted but never play. [00:12:27] Speaker B: Yeah. So nice change of pace, but yeah, I just, I agree with you. I think Will Howard is underrated both in college and going into the NFL. [00:12:38] Speaker A: I mean, if they win a national. [00:12:39] Speaker B: Championship, maybe, probably people will start talking. [00:12:41] Speaker A: Maybe he'll get his flowers. [00:12:42] Speaker B: Yeah. But yeah, we're excited for Ohio State. I know we're all big fans here. We're all going to be glued to the TV on Saturday when they take on that team up north. Noon, as it always is, for the game and then next week for the Big Ten championship. [00:12:57] Speaker A: This is the best part of the college football season. I mean, we're good, we're getting into it. College football. College football. Honestly, like we talked about before in a show, like, they've got to fix some of the scheduling things and it sounds like some of that's going to change and the way that the divisions have realigned is going to help things going forward. [00:13:10] Speaker B: But this is so much better. The fact that it's going to be Oregon versus Ohio State in the championship. Those are the best two teams in the Big Ten. [00:13:15] Speaker A: Right, Right. [00:13:16] Speaker B: Instead of taking like, oh, this one won this division and this. [00:13:19] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:19] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:13:20] Speaker A: It just feels like it's almost. It's just a slog to like get here. [00:13:24] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:13:24] Speaker A: Because you got to go through the, you know, Miami's of Ohio and the Kent States and the. But now we're here. [00:13:31] Speaker B: The beginning of the season. Season's the worst. [00:13:32] Speaker A: This season should be really exciting to see how the 12 team playoffs shakes out, so. [00:13:37] Speaker B: Oh, it's going to be fun. [00:13:38] Speaker A: Yeah. Something we've all been asking for basically since the BCS days. [00:13:42] Speaker B: That's something we can all agree on. [00:13:44] Speaker A: We've always said there should be a 12 team playoff. 12 feels like. I know that in talking about like expanding to like 24. Don't do it. 12 feels like the perfect number to me. [00:13:52] Speaker B: I like it. [00:13:52] Speaker A: You get your division winners and a few at large bids. Like, this feels like a good number. You're Getting the top 10, top 1% of the teams in the country. Like, this should be a good, good. [00:14:01] Speaker B: The only, the only way that I'm for expansion is if you just, you literally go full bore into it. You go Division 3 playoff style, where it's something stupid, like 64 teams. It's just like effort. Let's do everybody. [00:14:12] Speaker A: Everybody's December madness. [00:14:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:14:14] Speaker B: Like it's, it's. Because I don't know if it's that many teams, but Basically, what Division 3 does is they have 10 regular season games and it's five wins to get to the CH to, like, win the championship. So the most games you'll ever have is 15, which is still reasonable for college football. So that would be the only way I'm for expansion. Either 12 or you go all the way up to that. [00:14:34] Speaker A: I mean, that's a lot of games. [00:14:35] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, it's going to be. [00:14:36] Speaker A: A lot of games now. I mean, but that's the big thing about the NFL and rookies, right. Is like, they need. They actually need that because they're coming to the NFL and hit the wall. [00:14:43] Speaker B: Yeah. And they're never going to be playing in the preseason. They're never going to be used to getting hit ever again. So they probably should get it, get it in while they can. [00:14:51] Speaker A: Fair enough. [00:14:52] Speaker B: Yeah. But go Bucks. Yeah, we're excited for Ohio State. Oh, and one more thing. Before we get to the Browns, let me remind everybody to call the Burning Row Sportscast Hot. Don't forget to call and leave your hot takes on the hot take. [00:15:06] Speaker A: Hot knives. [00:15:07] Speaker B: Remember, these are hot takes. We want hot takes. We want hot takes. Kenny. [00:15:11] Speaker C: Hot take. We want hot takes. [00:15:13] Speaker B: Before I give the number out, can you just real quick explain to everybody what the hot take hotline is again? Cause I don't think they get it. [00:15:19] Speaker A: This is a voicemail box for all of our fans, Browns fans, to call when the Browns are doing something good, doing something bad, pissing you off, making you happy, making you excited, making you laugh, making you cry, all the emotions, the aff during a single Browns game. We'd like to hear as you go through the range of emotions. You can call once, twice, thrice, however many times you want. We want. We want to hear all you got. In fact, we do have a call this week, but we'll listen to it later. I think maybe at the end of the show. We did have a call come in this week on the hot take hotline, so you'll have an example at the end of the show to listen to. [00:15:47] Speaker B: Nice. And with that, usually I'd say if you're looking for the weekly recap, you've come to the wrong place. I'd tell you to go back into whichever podcast platform you're watching or listening on and look for our live episode from Sunday night. After the game. [00:16:01] Speaker A: Game, however, tell people what number to call on the hot take hotline. [00:16:05] Speaker B: Oh, the number for the hot take hotline. 330-2278-0803-3022-7808-0330. [00:16:09] Speaker A: 2278-080-3302, 278-080. [00:16:14] Speaker B: Call now. Operators are. No, they're not standing by, but we'll put you on the air and we'll talk about it. And with that, I'd usually say if you're looking for the weekly recap, you've come to the wrong place. I tell you to go back into whichever podcast platform you're listening or watching on and look for our live episode from Sunday night after the game. However, the Browns played on Thursday night this week. Sure did. That combined with fatherly duties and life taking precedence over the live show this weekend, especially because it would have been like, four days after the show. Nobody wants to hear that. We decided to add the Week 12 recap to this episode. So if you're looking for the week 12 recap, then you're in the right place. Now, let's get into the week 12 recap. All right, guys, first things first. You okay over there? [00:17:05] Speaker A: Yeah, sorry. We'll deal it later. [00:17:09] Speaker B: First things first. The snow was back in Cleveland. [00:17:12] Speaker A: It was glorious. [00:17:13] Speaker B: Wow. So, guys, what did you think about the snow? I mean, it brought up a lot of discussions, obviously, with different stadium talks, everything else. I just want your opinions here. What'd you think of the snow? [00:17:26] Speaker A: Look, I mean, this has been my hang up from day one is I am a big fan of playing football in the elements. I think football is a game that should be played in the elements. And I've always. And I love the fact that it's on the lake. I love the sweeping winds that come in and frustrate kickers, all those things that come with it. I mean, watching that game in the snow, watching even just afterwards, the celebration, guys making snow angels like that is football. And it's a rarity that we get to see these days because the stadiums, even the outdoor stadiums, are so well maintained. They've got heat running underneath the fields. In a lot of stadiums, they got snowblowers and stuff. It's not. It's not like the 70s and the 80s where you just couldn't see the lines, how they transposed the actual yardage markers on the screen for the game for fans at home watching on tv. So it's totally different. [00:18:13] Speaker B: That was wild when that came on. I was like, whoa. [00:18:15] Speaker A: But it's still just so cool to watch. And let's be honest, like, it was kind of an equalizer. I mean, this team was far more talented than the Browns. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Browns are not very good. And, you know, the mess kind of played into it. Now, are we a snow team? Like, I don't know that we're any more of a snow team. I'm just saying I think it took away everybody's, like, best attributes. And then you said to scrum. So it was fun. It was a lot of fun to watch. You get some great shots out of it, some great cinema. The problem is, as the discussion goes, dome versus no dome, is you only have it for the 12 weeks a season or whatever that you have games going between preseason and the playoffs. And you can't use that property any other time really throughout the year. I mean, we were fortunate this year. They had a couple of concerts and like SummerSlam. [00:19:05] Speaker B: But that was all publicity. [00:19:07] Speaker A: That's an anomaly. I mean, and I think that's why when you pull Browns fans, the most often requested thing would be, we want a retractable dome. People want to see football in the elements, but they also want to have Taylor Swift in the wintertime. [00:19:21] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:19:22] Speaker A: So we're not going to get a retractable dome. You're going to have to settle for the lesser of two evils. And honestly, that ends up being the dome and the village and all the things we've been talking about. [00:19:31] Speaker B: Yeah. Bone thoughts on the snow game, as. [00:19:33] Speaker A: Fun as it was. [00:19:35] Speaker C: Yeah, I would second that. As nostalgic and just as cool as that game was nighttime Thursday night against the Steelers, big win. Snowstorm, white out. When's the last time that ever happened in Cleveland? Like, I can't think of another game since I. There's. [00:19:50] Speaker B: There's been two games I can think of. [00:19:52] Speaker C: I can think of Foxboro, I can think of maybe some snow in Green Bay, Buffalo, but it hasn't really happened. I mean, except being cold and wet. [00:20:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:03] Speaker C: In Cleveland. [00:20:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:05] Speaker C: So in perfect mix of weather on that night rarely happens. [00:20:10] Speaker B: So in Cleveland, as far as seeing blizzards like this, right. Where the Browns actually won the game, you basically have two since 1999. You have this one and there's one against buffalo in like 2007 or whatever. [00:20:21] Speaker A: Okay. [00:20:21] Speaker C: Yeah, I remember that game. [00:20:23] Speaker B: Which. So to me, like, I just brought this up and I wanted to ask you guys the question because I saw a lot on social media afterwards, like, this is why you don't get the dome. And it's like, okay, the one time you finally were able to say. And again, I think it's a terrible argument for these people because where you're. You have the advantage as a cold weather team. Is not against other cold weather teams that play outside. Like, the two games I just mentioned were against the Steelers and Buffalo, both of which play outside in the snow. Like, they don't give a shit. Like, it just. We just happen to win those games. I just. [00:20:59] Speaker A: I just think, though, that, like, all the. All the things, like, in terms of, like, running routes, like, the finesse part of the game, all that goes away in the snow, and it just becomes who's tougher, honestly. And like, like, Jerry Judy made some real man catches at the end of that game that, like, were the difference that, like, George Pickens didn't make. Like, that was the difference in the game is we were able to move the ball. [00:21:17] Speaker B: Don't worry. We'll talk about George here soon. [00:21:20] Speaker A: On plays where they couldn't. And that was soft. That was the difference was like, they just toughed it out. And we're going to get that every week. If it snows in Cleveland, like, I don't know, like, again, all these guys that play for the Browns, a lot of them grew up in California, Florida and Texas. And then they come here, so. [00:21:34] Speaker B: Right. [00:21:34] Speaker A: It's not like Ohio weather runs in their blood. Right. It just so happened on that night. I mean, I think it evened things out enough that we were the tougher team and it worked out. And it was. I mean, it was like. It's as far as, like, visually appealing goes, there's just nothing better than when it was. [00:21:50] Speaker B: No, that was the best part of it to me. [00:21:52] Speaker A: Super cool. [00:21:52] Speaker B: But you know what I was thinking about? The entire time that that game was. [00:21:54] Speaker A: Going on, it was really cold there. [00:21:57] Speaker B: I was thinking, you know, the tickets are starting to come down in price because the Browns aren't very good. And then I thought about it, and I'm like, this would be like, a good game to take my daughter to. Not when it's snowing like that. [00:22:08] Speaker A: No. But you'll notice that none of those fans left. They were there till the end of the game and through the end of the game. [00:22:13] Speaker B: If you scoured the stands for somebody that had young kids, I bet they left. [00:22:19] Speaker A: Well, I don't know. A lot of people were taking young kids to a Thursday night. [00:22:22] Speaker B: I'm just saying, like, the dome makes it possible to take, like, your whole family to the game pretty much any time of the year. Things like that. [00:22:28] Speaker A: Don't be a cheapskate by sweet, I guess. [00:22:31] Speaker B: I guess. I don't know. That was just get box seats. Yeah. As my daughters growing up, that was kind of my thought Was like, couldn't take her to this game. But it was a lot of fun to watch. I loved seeing the snow on that. [00:22:42] Speaker A: I would bet if you go back and ask a lot of the Browns backers that, like, we've talked to, a lot of them probably have memories of their dad taking them to games like that in the 70s and 80s, and that's why they became Browns fans. [00:22:51] Speaker B: Yeah. And their memory is of them crying. [00:22:52] Speaker A: Yeah, their memory is like, I got hypothermia at the Browns game. But, like, they remember it forever. That's what we do here in Northeast Ohio. We get hypothermia and we love it. [00:23:00] Speaker B: We just scar our children for lives, for their whole lives. [00:23:03] Speaker A: We're real men and real football players here, I guess. So we're not soft like the rest of the country. [00:23:07] Speaker B: Like the Steelers. Like George Pickens. [00:23:09] Speaker A: Like George Pickens. [00:23:10] Speaker B: But anyway, so we'll start with the Steelers here. Coming to this game, there was a lot of trash talk, specifically TJ Watt, who says he's just flat out said he's better than Miles Garrett and that he's the best in the game and he was robbed of defensive player of the year last year. [00:23:27] Speaker A: He went five for five on high fives. [00:23:30] Speaker B: And then. And then there was also George Pickens that you just mentioned, who talked a shit ton of tr. Himself, even after the game. Yeah. And this is a guy that will get there, but I'm sure it'll come up. But he was too busy on the last play of the game to try and make a play. He was fighting Greg Newsom like they were. They're throwing a Hail Mary to try and win the game, and he's literally on the sideline fighting Greg Newsom. [00:23:54] Speaker A: He's your best deep threat and your best receiver. [00:23:56] Speaker B: Yeah. So, yeah, I mean, just needless to. [00:23:59] Speaker A: Say, the Browns, he's not a mentally tough guy. [00:24:02] Speaker B: The Browns took advantage of every opportunity that they had in this game and really took it to the Steelers, who were. Were. I mean, honestly, the Steelers look soft. Yeah, they look soft in this game. [00:24:13] Speaker A: Yeah, look, I mean. I mean, it was a week ago that we kind of anointed them. We're like, this is the best team in the AFC north, and they got beat by the Browns. So I don't know which at this point. I mean, I think what it does is it kind of reset everything for me because I was looking at it started to look at bigger picture. [00:24:28] Speaker B: Right. [00:24:28] Speaker A: You started to look at the end of the year in playoff scenarios, and I'm Thinking, is there a team that can stop Kansas City? And for a while, I thought Baltimore probably could. And for a while I thought, well, for a brief while, I thought Pittsburgh maybe could because of that. After they beat Baltimore, they both lost to the Browns team. [00:24:42] Speaker B: They both lost to the Browns, but. [00:24:43] Speaker A: Now you both lost to the Browns. So I don't think either one of those teams is going through Kansas City. [00:24:47] Speaker B: No, I would tend to agree with you. But real quick, let's. Let's run through their offense here. Russell Wilson, 21 to 28 for 270 yards, touchdown, three rushes for 10 yards. Jalen Warren and Najee Harris combined for 27 rushes for 86 yards. So the Browns defense did good against the run in this one. They had one touchdown that was Jalen Warren and not Najee Harris, which most would have expected. Calvin Austin, three receptions for 78 yards and touchdown. Pat Friar Muth, four receptions for 59 yards, and George the Pickens, four receptions for 48 yards. So good job, buddy. So, yeah, I mean, held their offense mostly in check. Russell Wilson was efficient through for 270 yards. I know Bone will tell me that he's still out there tussling, but he didn't tussle in this one because he lost. [00:25:35] Speaker C: He did lose. That was good. [00:25:37] Speaker B: He did lose on the defensive side here. Patrick Queen, seven tackles, two solo, one QB hit, one past defense. T.J. watt, four tackles, one solo tackle, one tackle for loss, zero sacks, zero QB hits. And then on special teams, Chris Boswell, two of three field goals, 101 extra points, and Corless Weightman, one punt for 15 yards. [00:26:01] Speaker A: That was the worst. [00:26:01] Speaker C: Terrible timing, too. [00:26:03] Speaker B: Worst punt of all times. So I had to make sure I included that in here. [00:26:07] Speaker A: I'll give Boswell credit, though, for making the kick. I mean, it was. I couldn't even see the ball going through the uprights. [00:26:12] Speaker C: No, I lost it. [00:26:13] Speaker B: That was probably the wildest part of this game, is he had two where it was already snowing and he couldn't see it, didn't he? Yeah, I think. [00:26:19] Speaker A: I think the wildest part of the game, it was snowing so hard, I couldn't see the ball go through the uprights, so. Or receivers half the time catching balls or, like, where receivers were on the field. And James Winston still had a better game than DeSean Watson's ever had as a Brown. [00:26:31] Speaker C: Yep, true. [00:26:32] Speaker A: Yeah, that's the wildest thing in the middle of a blizzard. [00:26:34] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:26:34] Speaker A: So Jameis was still better than DeSean. [00:26:36] Speaker B: Speaking of the Browns on offense, Jameis Winston 18 of 27 for 219 yards. No touchdown, one interception, three rushes for 7 yards and a touchdown. And that was a glorious rushing touchdown. He had the game winner is what it turned out to be, I believe, right? No, no, Chubb had the game winner. But I mean, still, Jameis Winston's touchdown was phenomenal. [00:26:56] Speaker A: Well, especially because at this point in his career, Jameis really isn't a scrambler. No, I mean, James really never was a scrambler, but he's even less like a scrambler now because he's 30 and he's just a pocket passing quarterback. So for him to take off and just, man, flip into the end, I mean, he put his body on the line. I liked what he said before the game, which was like, he didn't feel like he was a Cleveland Brown until he played us. [00:27:18] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:27:20] Speaker A: I think that he took that seriously. Like, those are the. Those are the kinds of things you want to hear as a Browns fan. [00:27:24] Speaker B: Like, man, if that's the case, there's a lot of Browns that were never Browns. [00:27:28] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, that's true. I mean, the thing is, though, is, like, that's a guy that's only been here for a year, but, like, he understands the rivalry, understands the passion of the fans and where we're coming from. [00:27:36] Speaker B: Sign me up for Jameis Winston as bridge quarterback. [00:27:38] Speaker A: Sign me up for James Winston. I'll take him for the next four years. [00:27:40] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm in. [00:27:41] Speaker C: Look how fast Jamis has just captured the city. [00:27:44] Speaker A: This is so great. [00:27:45] Speaker C: It's like, couldn't do that in three years. [00:27:47] Speaker B: No, not. [00:27:48] Speaker C: It never even attempted. [00:27:49] Speaker B: No, it's wild. In Jameis Winston, by the way, only the seventh quarterback in not. Not Brown's history, NFL history, to beat both the Ravens and the Steelers in the same season. [00:28:01] Speaker A: So, yeah, look, I think they're still golden them. Their hills. Like, I wouldn't. I wouldn't be mad if they ran this thing back with Jameis Winston as a starter. [00:28:09] Speaker B: Next. Me neither. Next up Here, Nick Chubb. 20 rushes for 59 yards. Not quite the yards per carry we'd expect, but it was a snowball. Two touchdowns in this, though, and he added one reception for one yard. [00:28:22] Speaker A: Yeah, look, this was tough running, right? I mean, the conditions were poor. It's not like your line was blowing big holes. I mean, you had to find spaces to run and your footing is not good, so you don't have. I mean, look, Nick Chubb is an explosive, fast, strong guy. I mean, you lose all that, it's just a Matter of. Can you keep your feet moving in the snow? [00:28:42] Speaker B: Well, he did a good job of that. The touchdown. That was the winning touchdown. He kind of. It was like classic Nick Chub. Right. Like he ran into. There was a hole there, and then he was like, kind of popped out. [00:28:51] Speaker C: Felt like he had some pop. [00:28:52] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:28:53] Speaker C: To his runs. [00:28:53] Speaker A: Yeah. For the first time, I think, since he's been back, I felt like he had a little bit of pop. So it was just. It was kind of unfortunate that, because it felt like he was running pretty good early in the game. And then it felt. Then once the blizzard started, it just wasn't going to be a statistical game for anybody. That was like, oh, we had the best game of my life. Like, just the weather wasn't going to allow it. [00:29:09] Speaker B: Right. Jerry Judy, six receptions for 85 yards. He continues to turn into that number one receiver we were hoping he would be. [00:29:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:29:17] Speaker B: Jordan Akin. [00:29:18] Speaker A: You got to get. Actually throw him the ball. [00:29:20] Speaker B: Yeah, that's. That's the key. [00:29:21] Speaker A: Half the battle. [00:29:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:29:23] Speaker C: That final drive with Jerry Judy was unbelievable. [00:29:27] Speaker B: Yeah. He's a pleasant surprise every time he touches. [00:29:31] Speaker C: He converted the third and 12, the fourth and four, and then. And third and seven. I mean, all in that same drive to keep the, you know, win the game. [00:29:38] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, up against it against the Steelers in the snow, Like, I'm not. [00:29:42] Speaker A: Even going to say, like, he's a pleasant surprise. Like, we knew when we got him for the potential on the cheap that, like, Jerry Judy was going to be a. Could be a huge asset to this offense. We just didn't get a chance to see it for seven or eight weeks because our quarterback was ass. [00:29:55] Speaker B: The assiest. [00:29:56] Speaker A: The assiest ass of all the asses. [00:29:58] Speaker B: Yeah. I agree. [00:29:59] Speaker C: So the stinkiest garbage you could imagine. [00:30:01] Speaker A: So stinky. Just the worst. So. So the fact that he's playing well now that he has, you know, he's had three or four games with a quarterback that can actually throw the ball to somebody that's open. Like, it's good. [00:30:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:30:13] Speaker A: I mean, it's everything we hoped it would be. [00:30:15] Speaker B: Yeah. And I. Yeah, I just. I'm excited that we have a number one receiver, especially since Amari Cooper, you know, ended up. It was a bad situation this year, and he's in Buffalo now. Well, I think, like a number one receiver. [00:30:26] Speaker A: I think Amari got fed up with the Deshaun. I mean, how could you not? I think he got fed up with the bullshit watching my head coach go to the podium every week and lie to everyone. [00:30:35] Speaker B: Amari this is the best chance to win. He can't even get me the ball. [00:30:39] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:30:40] Speaker C: I feel like behind the scenes, Amari was probably the most vocal about it, and everyone else was kind of. [00:30:44] Speaker A: That's probably why he was gone. Yeah. [00:30:45] Speaker C: Yeah. We're not going to try that hard. [00:30:47] Speaker A: Right. [00:30:47] Speaker C: Because you're putting Deshaun Watson on the field. [00:30:50] Speaker A: I still think that this team needs, like, a true. Like, I would love to see them draft somebody in the vein of like a Malik Neighbors, like somebody that was like a true number one. But I think, like, Jerry Judy is. You'd have. You have. It's almost like being in Cincinnati. Right. You've got Chase and Higgins. Like, you've got the best of both worlds. You got two guys that can stretch the field that can and catch everything. Like, that's. That would be a huge upgrade for the Browns if they make that move in the off season for sure. [00:31:13] Speaker B: And then Jordan Akins here, three receptions for 38 yards. I didn't put him in there because he only. He only recorded. I guess I'm putting him in there now. But David Najoku, one catch for nine yards, but he had the two. We talked about this. And he dropped the touchdown pass, which they ended up scoring, like, the next play. But at the time, he totally redeemed himself with the most ridiculous two point conversion catch I've ever seen in my life. Like, he was. He was almost. [00:31:39] Speaker C: Did you, like a backflip? [00:31:40] Speaker B: Yeah, he was. The way he came down, he landed, like, on his head. And when he finally caught the ball, he was like, upside down. [00:31:46] Speaker A: It was almost like the. You could. You could almost feel it. In real time, though, when he was in the air and he got his hands on, he was like, I cannot drop this. [00:31:53] Speaker B: I just dropped this. [00:31:53] Speaker A: Like, I can't drop this one. I cannot. [00:31:55] Speaker B: They came right back to him. [00:31:56] Speaker A: Like, I don't care if my neck gets snapped off. Like, I cannot drop this ball. [00:31:59] Speaker B: That probably was the only way he was dropping that ball is if he broke his neck. [00:32:02] Speaker C: My head's gonna catch the fall. [00:32:03] Speaker B: Yeah. But it was wild. [00:32:05] Speaker A: Like, that was because he dropped an absolute Bonnie before that. [00:32:08] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. That. That catch, though, was one of the most ridiculous catches I've ever seen. Which. Which, I mean, to be fair, like, that's. I'm not. Like, it's not a big knock, but that's always been kind of the knock on David Ajoko. He makes the most ridiculous catches, and then he'll drop the super easy one sometimes. [00:32:22] Speaker A: Sure. Especially early on in his career. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And Jordan Akins also had another. Had a drop, too. That was pretty bad, but. But it's good to see the big guy out there, too. Also making some catches. I mean, in crunch time. [00:32:33] Speaker B: Yeah, so. And then on the defensive side of the ball for the Browns, Grant Del. I don't know what that corrected to, But Grant Delpit, 10 tackles, six solo, one tackle for loss. Miles Garrett, five total tackles, four solo, four. Three sacks, three tackles for loss, three QB hits. We'll talk more about Miles in just a minute. [00:32:50] Speaker A: Yeah, honestly, like, to me, as. I remember this game, like, this was to me, like the Grant Delpit game. I felt like he was everywhere, but his performance got overshadowed by the fact that Miles was on the team and he had a great game, too. But Delpit was lights out in the. [00:33:04] Speaker B: Yeah, for sure. And then special teams shout out to Dustin Hopkins. He was perfect in the snow. One of one field goals and one for one extra points. And look, I said last week that the Browns had given up on the season. Well, I don't know if it was division rival who happens to be in first place talking all kinds of shit or the snow or whatever it was, but this team looked energized, they looked determined, and they played with passion the entire night. So it was a very nice change of pace from what we've seen. [00:33:32] Speaker A: Well, yeah, I mean, we said a lot of things last week. You gave them a billion to one shot to win. Win. [00:33:36] Speaker B: And I said that was generous, and. [00:33:37] Speaker A: That was generous, and I agree, and I agreed with you. And I said pretty much everything would have to go wrong for Pittsburgh and everything would have to go right for Cleveland, and. And that's kind of the situation that we found ourselves in. It was that. I mean, it was sloppy, it was messy, and we played well in it, and everything that we tried seemed to work. [00:33:53] Speaker B: And I don't want to downplay the Browns win, though, because they. It wasn't like. Like Steelers played like ass. [00:34:00] Speaker A: No. [00:34:01] Speaker B: It was just that the Browns wanted it more. [00:34:03] Speaker A: Yeah. It just felt like. And it won. It felt like when they needed a break, like they got a break, like there were some penalties and things that were. That went the best way in that game that typically don't. So it was just. It was the billion to one shot. [00:34:18] Speaker B: They did it. [00:34:19] Speaker A: I guess we'll see in two weeks when they play the Steelers again. Like if. If the weather's better, like how we. [00:34:23] Speaker B: Get blown out in that one, we're going to be like, yeah, say billion one. [00:34:26] Speaker A: Yeah. Here's what I do think, though. I know we're ways off from this right now, but if the Browns beat the Steelers again and the Ravens again, they should not only fire Stefanski and Barry on the spot, they should also, like, empty out an RV pooper tank on both of them. Just, like, just cover them in shit. Like, you can't, like, actually physically hurt people in today's world, but, like, they should just be bathed in shit. [00:34:51] Speaker B: Some sort of, like, they need to. [00:34:52] Speaker A: Be just absolutely publicly humiliated to the nth degree and to where they stink really bad not to go home and shower for days. Because they are just the absolute worst humans on the planet. [00:35:01] Speaker B: Some sort of, like, ceremonial. Like, tartan feathered. Like, not like actually. [00:35:07] Speaker A: And feathered. [00:35:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:35:08] Speaker A: Because they put us in this position. If they be. If they have four wins against the Ravens and the Steelers, like the hardest. [00:35:14] Speaker B: Teams that you play all year, this. [00:35:15] Speaker A: Team should have won 10 games really easily. [00:35:18] Speaker B: Yeah. So I agree with all that. Let's. Let's go to the Burning Sportscast Dog of the week, baby. [00:35:28] Speaker A: Doesn't matter, man. You gotta play tough people in the National Football League. You gotta be ready. And we gotta be the dogs that we are every time we step on there on Sunday and be ready to attack. And don't stop until we're in that locker room. [00:35:43] Speaker B: All right, so after the fan vote that was conducted over the weekend on our socials. That's right. We leave it up to the fans, fans, listeners, everybody. You guys. You all choose who the dog of the week is on our live shows, which we didn't have this week. So we just kind of put up the nominees so you guys can see them. We all nominate somebody. You guys vote on them. This week's nominees. Kenny, you nominated Nick Chubb. [00:36:04] Speaker A: I did. [00:36:05] Speaker B: I nominated Jameis Winston. And Bone, you nominated Miles Garrett. So this week's Burning River Sportscast Dog of the Week is Miles Garrett. Really no surprise here. [00:36:18] Speaker A: I mean, Chubb might get some love because he scored two. [00:36:20] Speaker B: Scored two touchdowns. It was the game returning against the. I think some people. That was lost on some people. Like, that was the first game against Pittsburgh. [00:36:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:36:28] Speaker B: Since. Since the injury. [00:36:30] Speaker A: You know who didn't forget it, though, was Miles in his post game. [00:36:33] Speaker B: Yeah. And I'll say this, so a couple things here. First of all, not really a surprise. Still, for that, Miles got it. It was a huge game from him. Three sacks. Kind of a statement game. T.J. watt was talking shit, saying he was the true defense player of the year last year. Myles Garrett made No bones. About the fact that he was like, I'm playing for the post game press conference was the most fire I've ever seen out of Miles Garrett. He came in and he said, look, I know our record's not good. I don't give a shit. This is for legging. This is for. He said, if this doesn't prove to you who. Who the top dog in the league is, then I don't know what will. He said. And he. He specifically said, they double team me every time. They don't double team you every time. [00:37:14] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. He said. He said I get treated differently than every player in the league, basically. [00:37:18] Speaker B: And he said, that's why I'm the best. [00:37:20] Speaker A: He says, step off the crown. [00:37:21] Speaker B: Yeah. So, I mean, that was just awesome. I. And these. I mean, they were. What do we say for that? We want from Miles all the time is we big players make big plays and big moments, and basically all three of these sacks came in. Big moments where it was like, we need to get them off the field so we can. [00:37:38] Speaker A: Well, he set the tone for that defense early on and consistently through the game. You know, again, we talk all the time, like, Miles wins his matchup every time. And it's hard to sometimes be impactful when you're getting triple teams, but, like, in this game, this was what you want to see out of Miles. You know, that is. This is why it's so frustrating, because you know his kid capable of this every night. [00:37:59] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:00] Speaker A: This was against a good opponent in poor conditions, and that dude got home anytime he wanted to. [00:38:05] Speaker B: Yep. [00:38:06] Speaker A: So, yeah, I mean, look, it was amazing to see. Love Miles. I know we've been talking a lot about him being on the trade block and that and stuff, and, like, a great a game like this makes it hard to think about partying with Miles. [00:38:19] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:19] Speaker A: Because he was just so much fun to watch. [00:38:21] Speaker B: And I'll reiterate, we love Miles Garrett. It's not like we don't want anybody traded. [00:38:25] Speaker A: I wish this. I wish this team was 11. [00:38:27] Speaker B: Yeah, true. [00:38:28] Speaker A: And no one has to be traded ever. [00:38:30] Speaker B: Bone thoughts on Miles here. [00:38:32] Speaker C: I don't know if I need to add any more, man. It was phenomenal. Awesome. Yeah, it was great. [00:38:36] Speaker B: Listen, my last question here before we get out of our dog of the week segment is he kind of mentioned that he knows the records bad. He knows the team's not good this year. He knows they're probably not making the playoffs, but he's playing for Legacy. I mean, do you think that this, like, maybe that little fire in him, TJ Watt talking all that shit. And in the rest of the season, we're going to see him play with like some sort of reckless abandonment where he's just pinning his ears back and he's like, fuck it, I'm going for sacks. Like we're getting all of them. [00:39:02] Speaker C: He's second. Second in the league right now. [00:39:05] Speaker A: He's tied for a second 10. So I mean, he got room for 10 more. [00:39:09] Speaker B: I mean, if you get three a game, a couple games, I think Trey. [00:39:11] Speaker C: Henderson has like one and a half more than him. [00:39:13] Speaker B: This is his second game. [00:39:14] Speaker C: He's not even far behind. [00:39:14] Speaker B: I believe this is his second game this year where he had three. [00:39:17] Speaker A: So I think for him too is because he kind of. I think. I think he wants to have more sacks than T.J. watt. Like T.J. watt's leading him career wise at this point. And I think that's part of the fire underneath Miles right now is he kind of had a slow start to this year, but three sacks certainly helps. So. And that's back to back weeks now with three sacks. So that's two of the last three. [00:39:41] Speaker B: He was, he was dog of the week a couple weeks ago against Baltimore or Balt. [00:39:47] Speaker A: Chargers gave me at three sacks the Chargers game. [00:39:49] Speaker B: And then we went. We played New Orleans, right? [00:39:52] Speaker A: Oh yeah. New Rollins. [00:39:53] Speaker B: So there's two. Two last three, but still the same point. Same point. Yeah. So I just, I hope this lit something under him though, and we start seeing this Miles week in and week out. It doesn't always have to be three sacks, but if you get one or two and they're in big moments like, I'll take it. [00:40:07] Speaker A: Oh yeah. I mean, look, I just. [00:40:10] Speaker B: Especially what he's famous for, the strip sack where he runs by and just slaps the ball out of his ass. [00:40:14] Speaker A: That was huge. [00:40:15] Speaker B: Yeah. So in other Browns news here, just, just one. Last week we talked about Kevin Stefanski being on the hottest of seats and potentially losing his job should the Browns be blown out again. Instead he beat the Steelers. And you kind of touched on this already. But apparently new lease on life there talks about now all of a sudden instead of. We were talking about Vrabel potentially becoming the head coach in Cleveland should Stefanski be kicked out. And now we're talking about Vrabel bolting in the off season. There's a. He's basically going to have his pick of the head coaching jobs is what's being said the league. So yeah. [00:40:53] Speaker A: Be interesting to see what happens there. I mean, look, again, I just Go back to like, I, I can't, I can't do Kevin Stefanski again. He lied to you week after week after week. That's it. You, you boldface lied to this, to this fan base every week. I don't care what your motivation was. I don't care if it was appeasing ownership. I don't care if that was your marching orders. You're a man. So you either have, you have no moral compass, there's no accountability, there's no respect for anything. If you can stand up in front of all those people in front of your team and like we just talked about like guys like Amari Cooper, like at the expense of some of your best players and say this guy gives us the best chance. In what world? Yeah, in what world? Yeah, in three games, Jameis stats were equivalent to desean over seven weeks. In what world did that guy give you the best chance to win? In four games, DeSean has won two or James has won two. [00:41:45] Speaker B: So at worst we'd be 500 right now. [00:41:48] Speaker A: In what world did that guy give you the best chance to ever win anything? So if that's truly your mindset, and even if it's you're not, if it's not, you're lying and if it's truly your mindset that desean did give you the best chance to win, you got no business around my football team. [00:42:01] Speaker B: Yeah, and I know I've mentioned it before, is if you didn't like, if you're being forced to say something along the lines of your supporting desean Watson because of ownership, because of gm, whatever the case may be, then don't come out here and say he gives you the best chance to win. Just say DeSean's our quarterback. That's who we're sticking with. Yeah, because we can all read between the lines then and know that you're being forced to say that. [00:42:26] Speaker A: Right? And then, and in that scenario, I might have Kevin's back, right? I might be like, look, I think Kevin was forced into playing him. But the fact that he got up there every week and said he gives you the best chance to win was a bald faced lie. And I just can't have that on my football team. [00:42:39] Speaker B: It's really hard to swallow. Best chance to win. [00:42:43] Speaker A: But the thing is, even if there was Kevin or not, the motivation still existed in this organization to play DeSean because of his contract and the money, even when everyone could see he wasn't good. That's a huge, that is a whole business operation that does not care about the product on the field and winning. They only cared about. Can we salvage the way this looks optically? Can we. Can we get something out of desean to make us not look bad? [00:43:13] Speaker B: You know what the most ironic part about the whole thing was? [00:43:15] Speaker A: It made them look way worse. [00:43:16] Speaker C: Yeah, everybody knew it. [00:43:18] Speaker B: Yeah, everybody knew it. And it made him look way worse. Like, the longer they kept playing him, the worse it looked. And it took an act of God to sideline him. So, I mean, yeah, it's. Let's get into the division roundup. I don't know how it turned into a DeSean Watson conversation after Dog of the Week for Miles, but Miles Garrett once again was a dog of the week. We were. In other Browns news, that's what happened. Yeah. So anyways, the Bengals run by. So no game there this week. Baltimore is currently playing on Monday Night Football. As we're recording, they're against the LA Chargers. The Chargers are currently up 7 nothing. So we'll add this one in next week as a reminder. Bone and I both picked the Ravens and Kenny picked the Chargers. [00:44:10] Speaker A: Crossing fingers. [00:44:11] Speaker B: So the only game that we have for updated standings is the Brown Steelers game. We were all wrong in that. We all thought the Browns had no chance, but they won. And so for the AFC north standings, Pittsburgh sits on top still at 8 and 3. Baltimore behind them at 7 and 4. Then Cincinnati at 4 and 7 and Cleveland at 3 and 8. Current king of the north standings, which we'll get back to later. Bone still on top at 20 and 18. And then me and Kenny, or I'm sorry, Kenny and then me. In that order. Due to tiebreakers. [00:44:39] Speaker A: Exactly. [00:44:40] Speaker B: Are at 17 and 21. [00:44:44] Speaker A: It was a bad week for us. [00:44:45] Speaker B: It was not good. [00:44:46] Speaker A: We were getting close to 500 and then we just shook the bed. [00:44:48] Speaker B: The football God's new. They said, yeah, let's fix that real quick. But with that, let's get into the hop 3. Smoke in the sky I'm Degas in. [00:44:58] Speaker A: The tank Gonna turn it up, turn it down, hold on I'm hot to. [00:45:02] Speaker B: The touch Burning up I'm hot Hot to the I'm hot to the touch Burn Enough. I'm hot I'm hot like fire Fire. [00:45:10] Speaker A: Fire, fire I'm hot like fire Fire. [00:45:14] Speaker B: Fire, fire all right, boys, it's Thanksgiving this week. [00:45:19] Speaker A: I just heard your throat with a microphone. [00:45:20] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. [00:45:21] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [00:45:22] Speaker B: It picks up everything. It's Thanksgiving this week. It's my favorite holiday, in case anyone was wondering, because it's like I always say, it's Like Christmas time, but without all the stress of, like, gifts and, like, running around and doing all the crazy stuff. Like, it's just Thanksgiving. You just sit there and watch football. Funny food. It's fantastic. [00:45:36] Speaker A: It used to be my favorite and gather with family when that was all it was about. But I feel like I just have responsibilities now. Yeah. Now it's like I gotta go to different parties and like, now I got a kid to take care of. Like, the. On a football watching is probably very little. [00:45:52] Speaker B: Yeah. But with it being Thanksgiving week, we're gonna do Thanksgiving foods for the Hot 3 this week. Everybody's favorite thing on Thanksgiving. I'm gonna go ahead and start this week, guys. Number three for me. Deviled eggs. [00:46:07] Speaker C: Good choice. [00:46:08] Speaker B: I love deviled eggs. They're just so good. You just pop them in and just like, it's like you get to the end of the party and you're like, oh, no. I ate 14 deviled eggs. That was like 4,000 calories. Does anybody else have this problem or is that just me? [00:46:27] Speaker C: For the most part. That's a good snack right there. A little bit of mayo, but devil protein. [00:46:32] Speaker A: Deviled egg overload. Feels bad in your belly. [00:46:36] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Later. Later. You're feeling that. Later. Yeah, that's not. Not a good day. [00:46:40] Speaker A: You're smelling it. Later. [00:46:41] Speaker B: Yeah, it's got the farts. Thanks, Bone, but no, we. Yeah, deviled eggs, man. I just. It's like every time I walk past the tray, I can't help but pick up another one. [00:46:52] Speaker A: Every time I walk past the tray, I just blow it out of the box. [00:46:54] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, fair. Fair enough. Fair enough. Number two for me, mashed potatoes, specifically with cranberry sauce. [00:47:02] Speaker A: You're actually wearing them together. [00:47:03] Speaker B: We use cranberry sauces, like the topping. We're very. I don't know if that's a Polish thing, but I grew up that. With that. Like, that's a family thing that we've always done. [00:47:11] Speaker A: Now define cranberry sauce for me, because there's like. [00:47:13] Speaker B: I know you like the gross ass jelly stuff. That's disgusting. I don't want that. I want the actual, like. Like cranberries. Like, that make the sauce, like. Yeah. [00:47:24] Speaker A: And you eat them hot or cold? [00:47:27] Speaker B: It depends. Both. I do both. I do both. I'll eat it however it's served. [00:47:32] Speaker A: So fresh. Actual fresh cranberries, though, that are, like, cooked. [00:47:34] Speaker B: It could be. Yeah, it could be either way. I mean, I. Our family, depending on who makes it, they make them differently. So like, sometimes they'll get fresh ones. Sometimes they'll get them that are like. They're like, warmed up in a bag. [00:47:46] Speaker A: You know, like you put them in a pan and cook them. [00:47:49] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:47:51] Speaker A: You eat cold jelly on your warm mashed potatoes? [00:47:54] Speaker B: No, but sometimes you like, especially, like, when. I guess now. I never actually had that question asked me before. I guess now that I'm thinking about it, it's always warm day of. But then I like just leaving the cranberries, like, cold. Like when you do the leftovers and stuff. Get your mashed potatoes warm and leave the cranberries cold. [00:48:11] Speaker A: All right. [00:48:12] Speaker C: This is new to me. I've never heard of anybody doing this. Try it. [00:48:15] Speaker B: Try it. It's delicious. Well, this is another weird one, because most people don't have this on. Thanksg. Number one for me again, Polish family is pierogies. We always have pierogies at any big family get together. And usually whoever's. Whoever's doing the pierogies, we have, like, like six different flavored, like, combinations of pierogies. You get the ones with, like, sauerkraut in them. You get the ones with potatoes and cheese. And, like, there's. There's all kinds of different ones. [00:48:44] Speaker A: I think you guys make them or you're buying. Just buying different ones. [00:48:47] Speaker B: We make them. [00:48:48] Speaker A: Make them all. [00:48:49] Speaker B: And so I don't. I don't really get down on these too much, but, like, my family does, like, a prune one that's actually, like, It's. It's okay. But I usually have, like, one. [00:48:57] Speaker A: And I'm like, I don't like when you get carried away with pierogies. Standard pierogi is good, but I don't like to get carried away. [00:49:02] Speaker B: I mean, it's me. [00:49:03] Speaker A: Some. Some cheese and onion is fine, but. [00:49:05] Speaker B: That'S my go to is like, oh. [00:49:07] Speaker A: Have these elk pierogies. [00:49:09] Speaker B: No, we don't do that. That's weird. But a lot of. A lot of good combinations that they do in the pierogies. And. And it's always my favorite. Any family get together? [00:49:19] Speaker A: So I think it's weird that you guys are so Polish, but none of you eat Polish noodles. [00:49:23] Speaker B: That's because that's a fucking weird thing, man. [00:49:25] Speaker A: It's a Polish. Polish noodles. [00:49:27] Speaker B: We're also Americans. Some things don't translate, you know? But anyways. Bone hot three. [00:49:35] Speaker C: Oh, man. All right, so number three, pumpkin pie with whipped cream. [00:49:39] Speaker B: Hell, yes. [00:49:40] Speaker C: Has to have whipped cream. [00:49:40] Speaker B: I can't believe I forgot that. [00:49:42] Speaker C: I don't eat pumpkin pie really that often at Thanksgiving. I really look forward to it for dessert. And I eat it for dessert. I don't have it on my plate with all the other food. [00:49:50] Speaker B: There's something wrong with you then. [00:49:52] Speaker A: Sometimes I like to pump pie first. [00:49:53] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:54] Speaker A: Really? [00:49:54] Speaker B: Now we're talking. I like you. [00:49:56] Speaker A: You. [00:49:59] Speaker C: I like it as a bedtime snack also. Or for breakfast. It's also, if you have leftover, it's really great for breakfast. [00:50:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:50:05] Speaker A: And pumpkin pie is one of those things too. Like you can kind of start to Thanksgiving and runs through Christmas. So it's like a bedtime snack. It is. Because almost like you always, always have some pumpkin pie left in the fridge all the way through Christmas. [00:50:16] Speaker C: And I think you have to have whipped cream with it. It's the bomb with whipped cream. Number two, I will do stuffing that doesn't come out of the bird, but just like a pan of stuffing but with gravy on it. I love that. It's so good. And I'll just eat that plain. Well, I guess it's not plain because it has gravy on it, but as its own little dish. [00:50:33] Speaker B: So stuffing with gravy, though. [00:50:35] Speaker C: Stuffing. It has to have gravy on it. [00:50:36] Speaker A: Do you put cranberry sauce on your stuffing? [00:50:39] Speaker B: Me? No, no. It only goes on the mashed potatoes. That's the only thing. Like, sometimes if it like accidentally mixes on top of the turkey, like, I allow it, but it's for, Specifically for the mashed potatoes. [00:50:49] Speaker A: I don't know if you just substituted cranberries for all gravy. [00:50:52] Speaker B: No, no, no. I love gravy. I love gravy on a lot of different foods. But like, it's. That's just a thing that we do in our, in our family. [00:50:59] Speaker A: You're ruining zigzag three. [00:51:00] Speaker B: Yeah. You did it. [00:51:02] Speaker C: All right. [00:51:02] Speaker B: I'm just, I'm just here answering questions. I don't know. [00:51:05] Speaker C: And my number one I always look forward to is sweet potato casserole. And it didn't happen one year. And like me and, me and my, me and my brother in law, like, apparently, apparently we were both the worst Thanksgiving ever. It was like three years ago. And we were both like on the way home, like, we looked at our wives, we're like, why wasn't there sweet potato casserole? Like, and we both like, Covid casualty. And then, you know, our wives, like, and they're, you know, they told their mom, they're like, oh, like, next you gotta sweep to the casserole. Like, Zach, whatever. Both, both of us were talking about. [00:51:40] Speaker A: How it wasn't they Hated Thanksgiving because. [00:51:42] Speaker C: It'S always been there. [00:51:43] Speaker B: The worst Thanksgiving we've ever had with this guy. [00:51:45] Speaker C: It got back to the, you know, the host. It got back to the host that. Yeah, we, we were questioning where it was. [00:51:51] Speaker B: You hear that? Mother in law, father in law. What are you doing? Not making. [00:51:54] Speaker C: Oh, no. It's been years, you know, since that happened. [00:51:57] Speaker B: But they will never make that mistake again. Worst Thanksgiving ever. Nice. [00:52:03] Speaker A: That's your favorite, huh? Sweet potato. [00:52:05] Speaker B: That was my reaction and I think it was as weird as mine are. I was like, sweet potato casserole number one. [00:52:11] Speaker C: I, I've had it with pineapple in it before and my mind was blown. It was delicious. Have you ever had it with pineapple? [00:52:17] Speaker B: I. I don't know if I've ever had it. [00:52:18] Speaker C: Oh, it's good. [00:52:19] Speaker B: Cuz it's just a casserole. Like casserole to me always screams like. [00:52:22] Speaker A: Take it or leave it. [00:52:23] Speaker B: Yeah, like sweet potato casserole is like. [00:52:25] Speaker C: A dessert once it's all done up with like the pecans and the sugar and everything. Everything. [00:52:29] Speaker B: It's like, you'll have to bring us something to try. Cuz this week, this weekend you'll be getting sweet potato casserole. So I expect some on Monday. [00:52:36] Speaker C: Crust on top with the soft like potato filling. Man, it's good. [00:52:40] Speaker A: I just don't really like sweet potatoes. [00:52:42] Speaker B: You're weird. [00:52:44] Speaker A: Nah, I don't like them. [00:52:46] Speaker B: What are your hot three? [00:52:47] Speaker A: Not sweet potatoes. My hot three are as follows. Number one. [00:52:56] Speaker B: You mean number three. [00:52:57] Speaker A: Number three. You're right. I won't go backwards. Number three, mashed potatoes. I love mashed potatoes. [00:53:02] Speaker B: Who doesn't? [00:53:03] Speaker A: This is the time of year too. You always get the hat with gravy for you. Homemade mashed potatoes. Yeah, definitely the gravy. Just regular mashed potatoes and gravy. I mean, how can you not love mashed potatoes? Number two, cranberries. [00:53:18] Speaker B: I love that yours is always by itself. Every time I hear you talk about crazy cranberries, it's the best because we. [00:53:24] Speaker A: Don'T use it as a dressing, we use it as a side dish. And I know you accuse me of liking the jelly stuff, but the jelly stuff is for the 364 days that aren't Thanksgiving. That's when you're just like hankering a cranberry, like flavor. Listen, you go get a camera store and you can slice it and it's. [00:53:41] Speaker B: Like, okay, well, I apologize. [00:53:42] Speaker A: I would never eat jellied cranberries on Thanksgiving. [00:53:45] Speaker B: I apologize for that. But here, let me just Digress, Inside story real quick. I'm hijacking your segment just for a second because this is the man that went on the cranberry diet once I did, and all he ate was jelly cranberry. I did stuff a lot of weight doing that for weeks. I'm pretty sure he was a diabetic because of it. But hey, he lost a little bit. [00:54:07] Speaker A: Of weight and it was delicious. But again, that was for the 364 days that aren't Thanksgiving fair. [00:54:12] Speaker B: So in case you're wondering, take, take your dietary advice from Kenny Thunder. [00:54:17] Speaker A: Oh, I'm not giving anyone dietary advice. I'm just saying I enjoy jellied cranberry sauce on everyday but Thanksgiving, we are. [00:54:23] Speaker B: In no way dietitians. Not to be. Don't do that. [00:54:26] Speaker A: I also can't do the cranberries cold though. Like, really have to be hot. [00:54:30] Speaker B: You warm them up, Even leftovers and stuff. [00:54:32] Speaker A: Yeah. Even if they're leftover Cold cranberry sauce is just a weird thing to me. The other thing about cranberries too, and this is sometimes I think when people don't like cranberries is you can't, you can't. You have to eat cranberries and then you have to follow it with another food. Maybe this is why you guys mix. You can't just like take a scoop of cranberries and eat them and like drink like a soda or a tea or whatever you're drinking. It'll mess up your mouth like orange juice and toothpaste. You have to follow the cranberries with something else before you like, you have to like clean your palate before you go drinking and stuff. [00:55:06] Speaker B: Yeah. This year, try them on your mashed potatoes. [00:55:09] Speaker A: Which I think is why cranberries sometimes get a bad name. People like, oh, I don't like that. Because it's like if you take a, take a bite and you take a. [00:55:14] Speaker B: Sip of something, you're like, I challenge everybody this weekend. Try just. You don't have to do a lot of it. Just try a little bit of your mashed potatoes. [00:55:21] Speaker A: I mean, I like to mix and match some of my food anyway, so, like, I'm not opposed to it like being on my stuff. Like, I'll eat. You know, cranberries are sloppy. They get to get all over everything. I prefer mine just in a bowl though. That way they don't get all over everything because I just love cranberries by themselves. [00:55:34] Speaker B: What's your number one? [00:55:35] Speaker A: Number one gizzards. I'm just kidding. If you're, if you if you eat gizzards or you use the gizzards like your stuffing and, like, feed it to people. You're a sick human being. [00:55:45] Speaker B: Disgusting. [00:55:46] Speaker A: Disgusting Gizzard. [00:55:48] Speaker B: Get out. [00:55:49] Speaker A: You don't eat gizzards. We don't put that in our stuffing. If you do, you're wrong. Stuffing is my number one, and I just buy stuffing with gizzards. But I love stuffing. [00:56:01] Speaker B: Don't worry. I'll mark it stuffing without gizzards. [00:56:03] Speaker A: I know. Blonde said, not out of the bird. I'll eat it in the bird. As long as there's no gizzards or out of the bird doesn't matter. I just love stuffing. It's my favorite. And with gravy, obviously. [00:56:13] Speaker B: I know we all call it stuffing. Did you know there's technically a difference? Like, when it's not cooked in the bird, it's called dressing, and when it's cooked in the bird, it's. Stuffing is technical. But dressing, to me, all of it. Stuffing to me. [00:56:24] Speaker A: Dressing to me is liquor that goes on a set. [00:56:26] Speaker B: Yeah, I agree with you. So it's all stuffing. [00:56:28] Speaker A: Stuffing. Just. Just bread crumbs. [00:56:31] Speaker C: Bread, yeah. [00:56:31] Speaker A: Like, and chicken soup or whatever they pour in it. Like. Yeah, yeah. Love. Love stuffing. So that's my. That's my favorite. [00:56:38] Speaker B: Nice. So good. Hot three boys. That'll do it for the hot three. [00:56:43] Speaker A: I'm hungry for Thanksgiving. [00:56:44] Speaker B: Yeah, me too. I can't wait. Kenny, do you know what it's time for? [00:56:47] Speaker A: Nope. [00:56:48] Speaker B: It's time for another interview. Something we started last year that we're continuing this year will continue for as long as we possibly can. With the Brownsbackers is our Brownsbackers interview series highlighting all different chapters of the Brownsbackers worldwide. Be it where the team is, be it back here in Cleveland, be it all over the world. We just did Canada last week. That was cool. [00:57:06] Speaker A: Canada. [00:57:08] Speaker B: So with that, let's go ahead and get into the next interview in the series. [00:57:10] Speaker A: Let's see what it's all about. Powered by Riverside. [00:57:23] Speaker B: All right, so for this brownsbackers interview, please help me welcome our friends from out west. Holding down the peak. [00:57:28] Speaker A: Pikes Peak. [00:57:29] Speaker B: That is the president of the Pikes Peak Brownsbackers, Aaron. Aaron, thank you so much for joining us. How are you today? [00:57:38] Speaker D: I'm fantastic. How are you guys doing? [00:57:40] Speaker B: Doing great. Doing great. We're coming off a win against the Steelers. Can't really ask for more, right? [00:57:46] Speaker D: No. That was phenomenal. And it was a snow game, and we just had a great time watching that. It was unbelievable. And the videos of the boys afterwards, just playing so well and all those great plays. It was awesome. [00:57:58] Speaker B: Hell, yes. And so before we get into the football side of things, tell us a little bit about your chapter out there and what you guys have going on. [00:58:06] Speaker D: Sure. Pikes Peak Brownsback Earth has been a club for about 32 years now. This is my second year as president. Kevin Sabins ran things for right around 30 years before me. We have a lot of we hang out at Single Barrel Bar on Grill out on Powers and Stetson Hills. For anybody local that's listening to this, we have a great time. The owners there really support us. They've donated to all of our causes. They even donated a couple tickets to the Browns Broncos games this year and last year. They have their vendors. When they do the promos with the beer vendors, especially during this time of year, they save them all for us. So it's fantastic. They do a great job in taking care of us, and I hope we do a great job and taking care of them. And then like all a lot of other clubs, we do a lot of donations. We're a 501C3, so we are an official nonprofit. We donate to the Browns foundation every year. We do a dog food drive. We did 720 pounds of dog food this year. We donated to Street Pets, which is a local nonprofit that helps homeless people who have pets. So the food that we donate, they give away to the homeless to help feed their pets so that they still will eat their food. Because if they don't have pet food, they give their animals all of their food. And then they also do vaccinations and things like that. I think once a month locally. We did Marian House for our Jim Brewster Senior donation this year. That was $1,000 to them. Our other annual one coming UP is the December 8 game, which is our toy and bike drive for the Bob Tallahassee Foundation. And then we had some visitors this year, which was really cool. I don't know what anybody knows about Colorado Springs, but we have the Fallen Firefighters Memorial here in September, so firefighters from all over the country come out and honor those that have passed. And we happen to have a few guests this year that wanted to come watch the game with us after the event. So we were able to donate 800 to the international association of Firefighters in memory of the three fallen Ohio firefighters from the Ohio association of Professional Firefighters this year. [01:00:08] Speaker B: Nice. All great causes. I mean, it's phenomenal just hearing the different places where the money that you guys gather through your charity work, where that's going to and kind of who's affected locally and back here in Cleveland through the Cleveland Browns Foundation. [01:00:25] Speaker A: I was just going to say I love the idea of. We've talked to obviously a lot of brownsbackers clubs and we hear about the various food drives and things. We're doing a dog food drive. That's unique. That was. That's pretty neat. Second Aaron, major props to you because you've seen the show before. She came locked and loaded with all of her charities. Rattled them off, which I love. [01:00:45] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [01:00:46] Speaker A: Awesome. [01:00:47] Speaker B: I like that. I like that. It's making my job so easy. It's like I don't even have to interview you. You interview yourself. Yeah, we interview you now. No, but so the charity events are fantastic. And a couple other things I know you mentioned like 30 years ago or something like that when you were talking about past presidents, things like that. What was. I missed it when you said it. What year were you guys established? [01:01:12] Speaker D: I believe it was either 92 or 93 that we were established. We officially became a 501c3 in December of 93. But actually it started with a bunch of guys in the mid-80s who would get together around town and then they all kind of started to find each other and meet together. In the early 90s is when it all kind of really came together and we joined Brownsbacker Worldwide and everything else became official chapter. [01:01:36] Speaker B: Nice. Yeah. And I just thought as soon as you said 30 years, I was like, man, here's another one. They just some of these, these Brownsbackers clubs have been going on forever for so long. Far, far longer than the brownsbackers Worldwide became an official organization. And it's just awesome hearing kind of everybody's stories and where everybody comes from. How did you yourself become a Browns fan? [01:02:00] Speaker D: Born and raised. I'm originally from Parma, Ohio. [01:02:03] Speaker B: Nice. [01:02:04] Speaker D: Yep. When I was a kid, my parents, I mean, we would go freeze at Muni and, you know, have our hot chocolate wrapped in blankets watching those snow games. But yeah, my parents are huge fans and so that's just. I was born into it and I love it. Couldn't ask for a better group of people, a better organization. We've had a lot of rough years, but we're die hard fans for a reason. So we're here, here to support the boys. [01:02:29] Speaker B: Absolutely. Being from Parma, you guys Polish? [01:02:32] Speaker D: I'm not. I'm Irish. Guys, we love pierogi. [01:02:34] Speaker B: It's one or the other. My whole family's Polish and they. And that's where my grandma and Everybody else started a race war here. [01:02:40] Speaker A: What's going on? How long have you been out? How long have you been out in Colorado then? [01:02:45] Speaker D: I've been out here 19 years. I actually moved out to work for a minor league baseball team, so. Oh, wow. Yeah, it's pretty cool. [01:02:51] Speaker A: Fun cool. [01:02:53] Speaker B: And so on to the football side of things now. I mean, I just want to ask you, like, obviously, we're coming fresh off of the Steelers win, probably the high point of the season so far, which is saying something because they beat the Ravens, too. But, you know, how did. How did everybody over there, how. How the crowd react at the. At the viewing location where you guys are at? [01:03:13] Speaker D: I mean, it's. They were the Cardiac kids for a reason. I still feel like they are today because, you know, we were lean. We were winning that game, and everybody was pumped, and we were up and we're like, oh, my God, are we actually going to pull this off in this snow? And then the Steelers came back and they pulled ahead, and then we all were like, oh, did we just browns it up? [01:03:32] Speaker B: I like how browns is a verb. [01:03:35] Speaker D: I mean, I feel like it kind of is. And then when things started turning around and Chubb and Winston just kind of connected and we got that final touchdown and one. Like, we all lost our minds. I didn't really have much of a voice on Monday. There were definitely a lot of. We do member raffles. We call them our blue tickets. It's a lot of yelling for those, and people get very excited. [01:03:54] Speaker B: We got. [01:03:55] Speaker D: We were able to give a lot of those away with all the excitement of that game. So it was. It was awesome. [01:04:01] Speaker B: Yeah. And I mean, that. That last touchdown by Jamis just was like something out of a movie. Like the way he just did no regard for his own body, dove in there and landed, like, on his head and rolled over. [01:04:12] Speaker A: And I love that it's already become like a classic NFL film because obviously the Hard Knocks crew was there and it captured the whole thing in glorious 4K. So I've been seeing that all over the Internet all week. It's just a great shot of the snow coming. And Jimmy, you can literally see James's eyes, like, where he's going with the ball splicing. [01:04:27] Speaker B: Was it Nathan Zagura on the. Or. Who's the. Who's the guy? The. It's not Jim. Who replaced Jim Donovan on the call? [01:04:36] Speaker A: The guy's name. [01:04:38] Speaker D: I don't. [01:04:38] Speaker A: I mean, Zagre is one of them, but I can't. [01:04:40] Speaker B: We'll get used to it. It's new. We're all used to Jim Donovan. We'll get used to Rose. [01:04:44] Speaker A: Rose, Chris Rose. [01:04:46] Speaker B: I don't know, but either way, I seen it. What you're talking about is spliced in, like his commentary spliced in with Jameis actually running in. So it's. It's pretty awesome to see. But do you think that gives us any momentum, Aaron? [01:04:58] Speaker D: I would love to see momentum, especially being in Colorado. We always want to beat the Broncos and there's definitely a lot of history there, for sure. And so I would like to say that we're going to roll into that game with a ton of momentum and ready to go. But the Broncos just had a good couple of games, too, so I'm still rooting for our boys. I'm still saying we pull this off, but who knows? [01:05:20] Speaker A: So what is the temperature out there with the Broncos? I mean, it seems like they've had maybe a better start than was anticipated. Out. What are you hearing out there around the team? [01:05:29] Speaker D: You know, I have a bunch of Broncos fans, our friends that are fans, and they're all pumped because they've really kind of the game against the Chiefs, which they almost pulled out and lost there at the last final minutes of it this past weekend's yesterday's game that they pulled out against the Raiders. And, you know, I think they're pretty pumped. It's been a good season for them and hopefully we can add another loss to that column, though. [01:05:53] Speaker B: Yeah, for sure. So, and being out there and kind of hearing about the team, Bo Nicks is kind of a hot topic on our show today, or will be when we get into the game preview. But is he actually good? Is that what I'm hearing? I'm hearing he's actually pretty good. [01:06:11] Speaker D: I feel like he's coming. He's coming together, he's getting it together, he's figuring it out. I think he definitely had a rough start in the beginning, for sure, but unfortunately I think that he is starting to figure things out and make it more of a game. [01:06:25] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't like that. [01:06:26] Speaker A: Is it just every time a franchise gets a young quarterback that plays well and we just think about all the quarterbacks that we've had that don't play. [01:06:33] Speaker B: Well, then he comes quarterbacks, and then he compare them and you're like, it's Bo Nicks. [01:06:38] Speaker A: Like, like, why is Bonix good in Denver but none of our quarterbacks ever pan out? [01:06:42] Speaker B: I don't know. So with all that being said, though, Aaron, I mean, what are your thoughts on the game against the Broncos. What. How do you think this thing's going to unfold and finish this thing off with a score prediction? Because. Because we got to get a score. Pretty prediction from you. [01:06:55] Speaker D: Oh, I didn't. That is the one thing I didn't plan for or think about in advance. I'd like to say start thinking now. You know, I'd like to say we're gonna win. I feel like it's gonna be at least a game with our momentum going into it. I'm gonna say 24, 21 US. [01:07:14] Speaker B: Oh, nice. I like that. Yeah. I hope we get another win. I hope it's. I hope it's 24. I hope we score above 24, 20 points. [01:07:21] Speaker D: Let's be honest. [01:07:22] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a big thing. [01:07:24] Speaker A: I know that's. [01:07:24] Speaker D: It's a reach, but, you know, what. [01:07:27] Speaker A: Is the weather tend to do this time of year out there? I mean, what do we. What do you think we're in store for in terms of just the. The conditions? [01:07:33] Speaker D: It's really hit or miss because it was 70 a couple days ago. It snowed this morning. It's supposed to snow Wednesday. I'm not sure what Monday is supposed to be, but it definitely. It definitely gets chilly. And Mile High really is a mile high. And it's even colder up there, especially if you're in those nosebleed seats. [01:07:49] Speaker B: So you guys are like Northeast Ohio in the. In the west. [01:07:53] Speaker A: Well, it's just like, I remember the last time I was in Denver. It was. It was just like, you're saying, like, we got in and, like, for two days, it was, like, 75 degrees and sunny. And then, like, we woke up one morning to go to, like, a work conference, and there was, like, a foot of snow on the ground, and I was like, what? Where am I right now? [01:08:07] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. No. Another thing I wanted to ask you, Aaron, is just with the game being out there, I know there's probably all the Browns fans that live out there in Colorado are just. Just rearing to go here. So are. Is there any events going on? Do you guys. Are you guys having a watch party? Is there anything else going on around that area? [01:08:27] Speaker D: I know Mile High is doing some Mile High Brownsbackers are doing a whole weekend of it. I feel like they've got stuff Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I'm wrong. [01:08:34] Speaker B: That's the backers bash, I think, is what they call it. Like, whatever the official one for the week is. [01:08:38] Speaker D: They're doing some big things up there. We're not taking a bus. Sadly, this year. But we do have a good amount of folks that are going up, I'm pretty sure, myself included, to go up and freeze and cheer on the boys. But we'll also have anybody that doesn't want to drive and sit for three, four hours in the cold up in Denver is welcome to come hang out with our Pikes Peak Brownsbackers at Single Barrel Bar and Grill. We'll be there starting probably like 4:30 5:00 since it's Monday game and plan on having a great time. [01:09:04] Speaker B: Who's holding down the fort since El Presidente will be up at the game? [01:09:08] Speaker D: We have a great group of board members. [01:09:10] Speaker B: I guess it's law presidente, actually. [01:09:12] Speaker D: Whatever works. I'm not worried about it. A bunch of our other board members will be there. So Kevin, who was the president last year, Joe, who was our vp, may make an appearance. Jessica Rich, who is our secretary. We'll have Josh Schrader, Brian Moyer, Diane Brewster, all of those amazing folks. Most of them should be there. And then I know some of our longtime fans and Die Hards are there, so it'll be nice. [01:09:37] Speaker B: Shout out to those folks. Erin gets to do whatever she wants, all due to what they do. [01:09:42] Speaker A: That's right. [01:09:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:09:43] Speaker D: I gotta give him credit, right? [01:09:45] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. [01:09:46] Speaker A: They will be well represented. [01:09:48] Speaker B: Well, it is a good thing too, because if people don't understand there's a full team behind. Obviously we're interviewing the presidents and everything, but there's a full team that goes into organizing these Brownsbackers organizations, each chapter and everything that they do week in and week out. [01:10:02] Speaker A: And those are volunteer gigs. [01:10:03] Speaker B: Yeah, volunteers. Let's be clear. [01:10:05] Speaker D: Even president. We're all volunteers. We're just out here having a good time and just want to make sure everybody else can come out and enjoy the game and have a little piece of Cleveland here in Colorado. [01:10:15] Speaker B: Absolutely. [01:10:15] Speaker A: Awesome. [01:10:16] Speaker B: One last question for you, Aaron. If there's Browns backers or, I'm sorry, Browns fans out there somewhere, do you have anything to say to them on why they should join a brownsbackers chapter? [01:10:29] Speaker D: The reason they should join a brownsbackers chapter. First of all, it's an amazing question. The reason why is, especially if you're not in Ohio, um, it's. It's a great way to watch the game and still feel like you're there. It feels like you're at home. You're cheering with a bunch of people that have, you know, obviously we're all from different walks of life, but we're all there cheering for the Same team. We all understand and commiserate with the highs and the lows and there have been a lot of lows, but we're there to support each other and, you know, do touchdown shots when they come up and. And really just kind of support the team. Hey, touchdown shots. They make things work. Sometimes we have a. We have a good time and I think that it's a great to just feel like you're back home no matter how far you are. [01:11:10] Speaker B: Nice. Yep. And the fact that the Browns backers are literally everywhere. We talk about it all the time. There's 300 and some different chapters spread across the world. Definitely across the nation and into many, many other countries as well. So if you're. [01:11:25] Speaker A: We just talked to Canada last week. [01:11:26] Speaker B: Yeah, we did. So if you don't live in Cleveland but you're a Browns fan, make sure. And even if you do live in Cleveland and you're a Browns fan, make sure you're out there joining your local Browns backers chapter and going and watching the game with a bunch of die hard fans. So. [01:11:40] Speaker A: Absolutely. [01:11:40] Speaker B: Aaron, thank you so much for joining us. We really appreciate your time and hopefully we can make our way out to Colorado and meet you sometime soon. [01:11:49] Speaker D: If you guys ever come out, we'd love to see you or if you're ever. And I think you guys are at the President Summit sometimes, so I'll have to catch up with you guys there. [01:11:55] Speaker B: Absolutely. Thank you. [01:11:58] Speaker A: Thanks, guys. [01:12:05] Speaker D: We're the Pikes Peak Brownsbackers and you're listening to Burning River Sportscast. Go Browns. [01:12:18] Speaker B: Man. Good time talking to Aaron from the Pikes Peak Brownsbackers, huh? When you had a lot of peas and that's hard to say. A lot of. [01:12:27] Speaker A: Lot of peas in their Pikes Peak. [01:12:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Pikes Peak Brownsbackers. [01:12:31] Speaker A: I love that they. They are one of the oldest chapter. I mean, older than. [01:12:35] Speaker B: Yeah, like a lot. I always like when we stumble across that where it's like, yeah, well, we only. [01:12:40] Speaker A: We just kind of started as a group of guys just getting together and. [01:12:42] Speaker B: Then once we've been with the Brownsbackers since 2011, but we've been Browns backers since 1984. Yeah. Yeah. Always good. Good to find those chapters, but no good time there. [01:12:56] Speaker A: Sounds like that. I mean, they're involved in a ton of crap, too. Not crap, a bunch of stuff. Like they have a lot. You do charity work. They have a bunch of stuff going on. I mean, she ran like four. [01:13:05] Speaker B: I thought it was rather important. [01:13:07] Speaker A: She read all four or five different things. I was like that's impressive. And I love the idea of the dog food drive. We hear a lot of food drives. [01:13:13] Speaker B: I might look into that for a dog food drive. [01:13:15] Speaker A: That's a cool thing. [01:13:16] Speaker B: I like it. But yeah, with that, let's, let's, you know what it's time for? [01:13:21] Speaker A: I don't know. [01:13:22] Speaker B: Quick revenue break. [01:13:23] Speaker A: Smart. [01:13:23] Speaker B: Then we'll get back here and talk about the Week 13 matchup with the Broncos, the Bills. Topath Distillery. Topat Distillery. All right, this week, the Denver Broncos. Kenny, you know what it's time for? [01:14:35] Speaker A: I think it's time for us to take a real quick break and just let Bone. We talked a lot last week about the trip to New Orleans with True Fan, but we didn't get Bone's perspective since he was out saving the planet. [01:14:47] Speaker B: Bone, how'd you like, how'd you like the New Orleans trip? [01:14:50] Speaker C: It was a blast. It was easy to like just do the things that were set up for us, I guess. So it was just kind of like effortless. You just. They had a lot of events set up which were great, like going down the river. The river cruise was fantastic. The Q and A with the players, the food was great and just the scenery going up and down the river, checking out the city was a blast. And then just like, I don't know, I'm giving a rundown. I liked how we had like all day Saturday to kind of do our own thing, explore the city. So with all the stuff they True Fan Travel set up, which we did, we got to do, we got to. [01:15:28] Speaker B: Do a little bit of a cemetery tour. Did some other things down there. [01:15:31] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. So I thought that was neat. We kind of made a day of it just eating at different places. Had a fantastic fried bologna sandwich. [01:15:38] Speaker B: Oh, man. [01:15:38] Speaker C: I'm sure you talked about it. Yeah, we did. It was delicious. [01:15:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:15:42] Speaker C: But the game, the tailgate was awesome. The food at the tailgate was fantastic. Just some local lady made it, which I thought was great. It wasn't like a change shout out. [01:15:51] Speaker B: To the local lady. [01:15:52] Speaker C: Yeah, it was just some lady. She's like, I've been up since, like, three in the morning making this food for you guys. I was like, thanks, man. I caught her. Lady. [01:15:59] Speaker B: I was gonna say she was probably mad at you. [01:16:00] Speaker C: I was like, thanks, lady. This rice is really good. I had, like, seven servings, but Superdome was really dope. I wandered kind of through the game. [01:16:12] Speaker B: It's. It's rare that you hear Bone use the word dope. [01:16:15] Speaker A: We. We forgot to talk about that when we were talking about us. Yeah, we lost Bill for a while. [01:16:20] Speaker B: We lost him. We almost had to text his wife and say, we lost your husband in the Superdome. Not even in New Orleans. We lost your husband in the Superdome. [01:16:27] Speaker A: We got a picture of us from the other side of the Superdome. [01:16:31] Speaker C: I zoomed in as close as I could. It was so big. I, like, zoomed into section 618. [01:16:35] Speaker B: Now, this photo was the grainiest photo. It looked like it was taking on a potato. [01:16:38] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:16:39] Speaker B: But he did send it to us. [01:16:42] Speaker C: It was fun. I had a couple drinks and Is fun. [01:16:46] Speaker B: Just. Bone, I. I know we talked about a little bit last week, but can you. You speak to. I mean, we all. We're all advocates for the. The new dome and the Village in Cleveland. Can you talk about, like, how their setup is there to experience? [01:16:57] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Like, going into the stadium was cool because once we got through security, you walk into, like, this. I don't know. Like. I don't know what to call it, but there was a stage, there was people singing, there was a concert going on. Then there was all these vendors set up, and there was thousands of people just outside hanging out together. Almost a tailgate inside of the stadium complex, I guess you could say. Yeah. Which is probably. Yeah, great for them making money or whatever. But it was just cool atmosphere. And then we immediately just walked into the stadium. But, yeah, having that area where you can just immediately kind of walk into the stadium instead of walking a mile from your tailgate was kind of neat, I thought. I don't know. Superdome was sweet. Just the. The way they designed it. Getting in and out of the Superdome was so much easier than getting into. In and out of a brown. [01:17:42] Speaker B: Yeah, that was the biggest thing I saw. I've told everybody about that. I'm like, it was fast. Well, a lot of that comes from not being landlocked. To be Able to leave in every direction. [01:17:50] Speaker C: Yeah. So I'm sure there was different entrances throughout that we didn't even see, you. [01:17:54] Speaker A: Know, but that's what we said. It's like, from the time the game ended to the time, like, we got, like. It was like we were, like, out and down the street in, like, less than 10 minutes. [01:18:01] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [01:18:01] Speaker A: Like, from the time the game ended, they had their. Almost. [01:18:03] Speaker C: The road was closed for everybody just to walk out, you know, so you weren't competing with, I guess, traffic, and there wasn't a bunch of security guards, like, yelling at you to stop and. [01:18:11] Speaker B: But you did. You said something at the beginning of this. And I just want to stress this. It was so easy. Everything, start to finish from this entire trip was so easy because of True Fan travel. And I. You know, I understand they are. It's a premium experience that you're getting. I mean, it's. It's. It's. It is an expensive. A fairly expensive trip, but not. I don't think it's overpriced. [01:18:32] Speaker A: No. [01:18:32] Speaker B: It's worth it for the convenience that you get. And not having to do anything yourself is very fairly priced, in my opinion. [01:18:40] Speaker A: Yeah. That was the thing I was just gonna say was. I don't think we talked enough about the hotel itself. A, the location, and B, the hotel, like, that was. That's. If you just went on vacation and stayed there. I'm sure that's an expensive hotel to stay in. [01:18:52] Speaker B: Yep. [01:18:52] Speaker A: But with True fan, it just, again, adds to just the elevated experience of the whole thing. It was a very nice hotel. I mean, up and down. I mean, just in a great location. I mean, it was close to the stadium, close to the tailgate, close to the events. [01:19:04] Speaker B: We literally walked everything. [01:19:05] Speaker A: Everything. [01:19:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:19:06] Speaker A: Hotel. [01:19:07] Speaker B: Yeah. So, yeah. Good time down there in New Orleans. [01:19:10] Speaker A: And Bone kept us hydrated because he kept getting waters for us from the Aquatic center or whatever, wherever he was. [01:19:15] Speaker C: Yeah, that was the. The free waters. [01:19:16] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:19:17] Speaker C: Shout out to Eric Metcalf. I got onto the elevator with him, and I, like, it was holding, like. [01:19:20] Speaker B: No, it wasn't. [01:19:21] Speaker C: Oh, sorry. Kevin Mack. [01:19:23] Speaker B: Yeah. They look exactly the same. They don't. They literally look nothing alike. [01:19:27] Speaker C: I have, like. I'm sorry. I had, like. No, I. I went to the hydration station. I had, like, seven waters in my hand and my own, like, water bottle that I already filled up with water because I was, like, dying. I was so thirsty. The sink water was terrible. Whatever. It's just how it was in New Orleans. [01:19:43] Speaker B: But the hottest sink water, the hottest Sink water of all time. [01:19:47] Speaker C: Yeah. The elevator opens and Kevin Mack is standing there, and I get on the elevator with him. I was like, yeah, I'm just getting some water. I'm like, you go down to the fitness center, they have all the free water you want. And he's like, what's this guy taking all these waters? What a weirdo. And then I'm getting off the elevator and he's like, yeah, he's like, I guess you can do that, or you can just go down to the front desk and pay for him. And I was like, yeah, yeah, you go do that. I'm gonna take these free waters. [01:20:09] Speaker B: The best part about these waters and just a visual for everybody. They're the little mini. [01:20:13] Speaker C: They're little mini wives. [01:20:14] Speaker B: So he's got like seven, eight of them. [01:20:15] Speaker C: They're really small. [01:20:16] Speaker B: Yeah. Trying to. Trying to hold them all. [01:20:18] Speaker A: So finally, real quick plug, just about the cemetery tour. Just what your thoughts on the cemetery tour. [01:20:23] Speaker C: That was. That was cool. Just the interest. Just how they. Yeah. Decomposed bodies in these cemeteries is wild. [01:20:30] Speaker B: Like, it is wild. [01:20:31] Speaker C: So just learning about all that. And, like, some of these things have, like, thousands of bodies in them. These, like mausoleums, and they're just like, in bags. But it was just interesting to see how they bury their dead down there. [01:20:42] Speaker A: That whole thing was fascinating. [01:20:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:20:43] Speaker C: And our tour guard was fantastic. He was like. He knew his stuff. [01:20:47] Speaker A: He was great. [01:20:47] Speaker C: It was almost like a. They were like, registered through the Catholic church or something like that. [01:20:53] Speaker B: They're the only ones still registered in a Catholic church. I think he said in New Orleans. [01:20:57] Speaker A: To do those tours. [01:20:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:20:58] Speaker C: Yeah. So that was neat. [01:21:00] Speaker B: Good times. [01:21:00] Speaker A: Very cool trip. [01:21:01] Speaker B: But. Yeah, so that. That'll put a nice bow on the holiday season. Put a nice bow on the New Orleans trip. [01:21:08] Speaker A: Be a good Christmas or holiday gift. [01:21:10] Speaker B: Yeah. True fan travel. There's. There's a lot of different events for them. I mean, I know they're going to, like, October Kentucky Derby, they're going to Oktoberfest, like, all kinds of, like, actual Oktoberfest, like Germany. [01:21:21] Speaker A: And they'll be back next year with more Browns games. [01:21:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:21:23] Speaker C: I'm sure you guys already talked about it, but the availability of the people running. Running the event, it was so hands on. They were right there for anything that you needed, which I thought was really cool. [01:21:33] Speaker B: Absolutely. [01:21:33] Speaker A: Yeah. I think that's one of those things, like, you hear, like, oh, the trip coordinators on site, like, these guys. I can't stress enough. Like, these guys knew your face and name. From the moment you got on the airplane to go there. So that they were. They weren't just like. Like, they take that serious as a part of the experience is that they want you to have a good time. So, like, they'll seek you out. Like, if you're just, like, staying off at the corner, like, they'll just come over and be like, hey, what's going on? Like, what can we do to have. [01:21:58] Speaker B: Is there anything we could do to make this better? [01:22:00] Speaker A: So honestly, one of my favorite parts of the whole trip was there was. We had a malfunction with our plane. Right. That we had sensor. There was an issue. We got delayed for an hour. Totally not the fault of true Fan Travel. It's just a plane issue. [01:22:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:22:12] Speaker A: And somebody had complained briefly. And, like, literally, the troop coordinator was like, let's talk about this. Like, let's go get a beer. Like, let's go. Let's just go fix this right now. Like, they're just involved and on it. Like, from the. [01:22:23] Speaker B: Bought the entire plane. Beers, too, while we on our way. [01:22:26] Speaker A: And like, just a tremendous experience all the way around. [01:22:29] Speaker B: Absolutely. And so with that, let's go ahead and get. And now get into the Week 13 preview brought to you by True Fan Travel. [01:22:37] Speaker A: Sorry, I just can't stop talking about true fan. They're just fine. That was fine. That was one of the coolest experiences. [01:22:42] Speaker B: It was beginning. Oh, I agree with you. But now we're going to talk about Denver. This week we got the Denver Broncos. Kenny, I know you've just been putting it off because you didn't want to do this, but you know what it's time for? [01:22:55] Speaker A: I guess it's time for Kenny's cliff Notes. [01:22:58] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [01:23:04] Speaker B: You are the only person I know that doesn't. You're like, I guess it's time for my segment FaceTime. For me, it's all about me. [01:23:14] Speaker A: I liked it early on when things were fresh and exciting, but now we suck. All right, Broncos cliff notes. The Browns are 7 and 25 all time versus the Broncos. [01:23:29] Speaker B: That's really bad. [01:23:32] Speaker A: Insult to injury. The Browns are just 17 and 21 on Monday night Football. Not good. [01:23:39] Speaker B: Also, it wasn't as bad, so I didn't comment, but go on. [01:23:43] Speaker A: Anywho, it's under.500 says. [01:23:45] Speaker B: I mean, it's. That's just like a normal Browns record, like 400. [01:23:48] Speaker A: Like, fair enough. Former super bowl champion Sean Payton leads the 7 and 5 Broncos into Monday Night Football. For all the talk of Jaden Daniels, the sixth quarterback taken in this year's first round, Bo Nicks has been improving rapidly and is making his own case for Rookie of the year. Currently ranked 13th in yards, 11th in touchdowns with only six picks on the year, Bo Nicks is looking like a season seasoned pro as well as being the team's second leading rusher with 300 yards on the season. Javonta Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin leave a lot to be desired and neither are known to be game breakers. The two backs have combined for 728 yards on the season, which would put them 13th behind Najee Harris if they were one person, which they aren't. Cortland Sutton is a fair number one with over 700 yards receiving thus far on the season. The rest of this crew is about as threatening Is my butthole dressed like Bozo the Clown? Devon Velay, Marvin Mims Sounds threatening to me. Devon Velle, Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin and lest we forget, Lil Jordan Humphrey. Yes, that is on his birth certificate. Apparently his brother wanted him to be named after his favorite player, Michael and this, my friends, is why we don't let children make adult decisions. The offensive line ranked seventh last year coming into the season. [01:25:13] Speaker B: I like how this has turned into just stand up comedy for you. [01:25:18] Speaker A: The Office of came into the season ranked 11th and has continued to improve. It is one of the better units in the league. Bolstered by tackles Mike McGlinchey and Garrett Bowles. This Broncos defense ranks second in scoring at just 16 points per game. Anchored by leading tackler strong safety Brandon Jones, linebacker Nick Bonito with 10 sacks already on the season and corners Pat Sir Tan might as well be Curtan. You know, like a curtain, I don't know. And a great white hope, former Iowa standout Riley Moss, although he is questionable with torn up MCL right now, so we'll see if he even plays this week. Feels bad. Bottom line, his defense is probably going to give us a hard time at Mile High. The good news for Browns fans traveling to the game, Recreational weed is legal and you can be just as high when this week's House of Cards comes tumbling down. That is this week's Kenny's Cliff Notes. Go Browns. [01:26:12] Speaker B: Go Browns. [01:26:13] Speaker A: Go Browns. [01:26:14] Speaker B: Who put a question mark in the teleprompter? [01:26:17] Speaker A: He will literally read anything it says. [01:26:20] Speaker B: That was thorough. It was very thorough. [01:26:23] Speaker A: So that's what I do with the Cliff Notes. [01:26:24] Speaker B: All right, well, you know what it's time for now? [01:26:26] Speaker A: Cover everything. Ronnie jams matchups that matter. [01:26:29] Speaker B: Ronnie jams matchups that matter matter. All right, I'm here to Bring in my two matchups that matter because that's what I do. [01:26:47] Speaker A: I bring you two. [01:26:47] Speaker B: I bring you two. That's all I'm good for. First up here, Brown secondary versus Bo Nicks. As Kenny mentioned, apparently B. Nick. I don't. [01:27:00] Speaker A: This is the reality in which we find ourselves, gentlemen. He's on pace for. Let's just keep this in perspective. He's on pace for 30 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and 5,000 yards. The reality that we live in is Bo Nicks is a good NFL quarterback. [01:27:12] Speaker C: That's pretty good. [01:27:14] Speaker B: Who is. Who all is that better than, like, big name? [01:27:18] Speaker A: I mean, he's. I mean, right now, like, he's ahead of Josh Allen in, like, yards. There's a bunch Patrick Mahomes not to pull back. You can keep talking, but I'll pull up. [01:27:29] Speaker B: I just know apparently this guy's good. And this is the reality that you said we're living in. And I do not like this reality. This is a really dumb reality that we're living in. [01:27:39] Speaker A: This is a really dumb reality. [01:27:41] Speaker B: That's really dumb. But because he's apparently good, we're going to need the defensive backfield to hold down the fort long enough for the guys up front to try to get home and rattle the rookie quarterback. [01:27:52] Speaker A: Just a few guys that he has more passing yards this season on. Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Jalen Hurts, Kyler, Murray, Jordan, Love, Justin Herbert. [01:28:00] Speaker B: I. [01:28:01] Speaker A: Pretty good names. [01:28:02] Speaker B: I hate this reality ahead of. Seriously, though, how's Bo? Nick's good. Like, that's my question here. Why? What? [01:28:09] Speaker C: Why his receiving course kind of blah. [01:28:12] Speaker B: Right? Which means that he probably legitimately is pretty darn good because you don't mean. [01:28:17] Speaker A: You don't like little Jordan Humphrey. This is dumbest name. [01:28:23] Speaker B: But yeah. So the secondary needs to hold it down so that Miles Garrett, who is the next matchup that matters. Miles Garrett vs. The Broncos offensive line. Miles Garrett's coming so he can get home. He's coming off a game where he had three sacks. He says he's focused on his legacy now and not the record. Will he repeat that performance? Will he maybe not another three sacks. Will he get two? Will he. Will they be him big time, you know, moments in the game. That's what we need out of Miles Garrett if we're going to win games. And yeah, I mean, I put Miles Garrett against the whole Broncos offensive line because we know he's going to be double team, triple team to whatever the case may be. [01:29:00] Speaker A: So he usually is matched up at some point against everybody on the offensive line. [01:29:04] Speaker B: Right, right. So in summary, as a team, The Broncos are 7 and 5 coming off a win against the Raiders. They've gotten this far in the back of their defense. Their defense ranks third overall, seventh against the pass, sixth against the rush, second, second best scoring defense, third in the red zone. But they are 15th on third down. This is where they they can be susceptible. The Browns are going to need to keep drives alive and control the clock on offense. They rank in the bottom half of the league in every statistical category. They're not very good, even though Bo Nicks is on pace for good numbers. Their offense as a whole is not that good. But if he can't score points against them, then he can't beat them, and that's been their M.O. all year. [01:29:47] Speaker A: So their running backs need to of them just to be one. [01:29:49] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. So in the Browns there, they have a 3 and 8 record coming off a great win against the division rival Steelers. Obviously an amazing win. Hopefully riding high, get it momentum and riding that to momentum for the rest of the season. [01:30:03] Speaker A: That's right. [01:30:04] Speaker B: At least for this week. The Browns were not the worst team in the league. So they actually looks pretty good. We're looking to see if they could build off that, get another win. The Browns offense is below average this season at best. It has been much better since James took over. Much, much, much better. But still, they rank in the bottom 10 on the season and basically every statistical category that you possibly can rank last or rank rank for your offense, and they're dead last. And third down offense, or remember, third down defense is where I said the Broncos were susceptible. We ranked dead last. And third down offense. [01:30:42] Speaker A: I was thinking just the game with the Steelers this weekend for 11, I was going to say I think they were like, oh, and 10, 1 point, but they were like 6 for 6 on fourth down. So. [01:30:50] Speaker B: So third down specifically is going to be something that we're watching very, very closely. But the Browns defense is. Is also, you know, they're not below average, but they're wildly average this season. They're right in the middle with everything. The one thing that they're good at on their side is their seventh best against third downs. So they need to keep that up. They need to get the Broncos off the field, don't let their offense score points, and just give our offense as many chances as possible to get over 20. And so, yeah, I mean, here's the deal though. They're traveling out west, they're playing the Broncos and they're playing in prime time. Those are all Bad news Bears for the Browns. And with that, let's. We got a new segment this week, boys. [01:31:35] Speaker A: New segment. [01:31:35] Speaker B: You guys ready? You guys ready? [01:31:37] Speaker A: I'm ready. [01:31:38] Speaker B: It's Bone, man. Skeleton key to victory. [01:31:42] Speaker C: Oh, man, I love a good skeleton key. I mean, they're ornate, they're historical, beautifully crafted. [01:31:50] Speaker B: We're gonna pause here for a second, though, Bone. [01:31:51] Speaker C: Okay. [01:31:52] Speaker B: We're gonna give you a sounder. [01:31:53] Speaker C: Oh. [01:32:00] Speaker B: All right. Let's ride. [01:32:01] Speaker C: All right. All right, so I got some numbers for you guys. We got 200, 120. [01:32:06] Speaker B: All right, so 200 and 120. [01:32:08] Speaker C: No, 200. 200, 100. Pause. 20. [01:32:12] Speaker B: Okay, three. Three numbers. 200, 120. Got it. [01:32:16] Speaker C: All right, so 200 is the passing yards from James Winston. Broncos are holding opponents to 190 yards a game, and Jameis hasn't had a game under 200 yet this season. [01:32:28] Speaker A: Advantage, Browns. [01:32:29] Speaker B: Advantage, Browns. [01:32:30] Speaker C: 100 is how many yards we want from Nick Chubb. Let's see him break threshold this week. The Broncos are currently giving up 98 yards a game. It's time. It's time for Chubb to go. [01:32:41] Speaker B: To. [01:32:41] Speaker C: Go crazy. [01:32:42] Speaker B: I like this. [01:32:43] Speaker A: That would be advantage, Browns. [01:32:44] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then 20 is the points we need, you know, the Browns to get. The Broncos are holding opponents to 17 points per game, and the Browns have had trouble getting over the 20 point mark. But Jameis, two out of four games, he scored over 20. So if we do these things, I think we win the game. Game. [01:33:04] Speaker B: I like that. [01:33:05] Speaker A: Skill and keys to victory. [01:33:06] Speaker B: Those are. Yeah, I like that. [01:33:08] Speaker C: I would also add, let's win a turnover battle. [01:33:12] Speaker B: That'd be nice. [01:33:12] Speaker C: The Browns have been kind of. [01:33:14] Speaker B: We don't like to do that. [01:33:15] Speaker C: Pretty bad. [01:33:17] Speaker B: If there's one thing that's consistent about, like, all bad teams, they always lose the turnover. [01:33:21] Speaker C: The Browns are 27th in the turnover battle, and the Broncos are 12th. So let's switch that. [01:33:27] Speaker B: That's what takes a bad team, a team towards the back of the league to like. The Broncos are seven to five. Right. [01:33:32] Speaker A: So you go from three and eight. [01:33:33] Speaker C: Miles, trip sack or something like that this week would be great. Jamis doesn't throw an interception. That'd be fantastic. [01:33:39] Speaker B: But the 200, 120, those are. That's your. That's your skeleton keys to victory. Yeah, Yeah, I like that. I like that. Kenny, you got betting info for us? [01:33:48] Speaker A: Yeah, it's not good. Line is minus five and a half for the Broncos. [01:33:52] Speaker B: Wow. [01:33:52] Speaker A: Over under 40. One and a half. [01:33:55] Speaker B: 41 and a half. Who's that? Who's that? Who's given that line? [01:34:00] Speaker A: Everybody. [01:34:00] Speaker B: Everybody. Everybody is last up here in the preview players to watch. I'll go first. I already said in my matchups that matter, I'm going to double down with Miles Garrett. Sounds like he's shifted his focus a little bit. It sounds like he's more focused, more hungry. He's trying to get after it the rest of the season. So I want to see the sack number start jumping. I want to. You know, I think it's time, like, we know Miles Gary at any given time can have a multiple sack game. I think it's time, like, I want to see him string together a few of those in a row. And then all of a sudden come end of the season, we're talking like, oh, man, is how many sacks is he going to get? Like, that's, that's where I want this to be at the end of the season. [01:34:42] Speaker A: What if Miles had 28 sacks on a season where I won like four games? [01:34:46] Speaker B: That would be insane. But I'd be like, then I would change my tune. I'd be like, okay, I don't want to trade him, leave him for two first round picks anymore because he had 28 sacks. So. Kenny, player to watch. [01:34:58] Speaker A: Oh, no. On this team isn't worth spending four hours watching on a Monday. Stick with us for two hours each Thursday and we'll bring you everything you need to know. All the news you can use to keep up with this miserable lot. [01:35:06] Speaker B: Nobody. Nobody. [01:35:07] Speaker A: I'll go Jerry Judy this week, I guess just a revenge game for him we talked about. He's coming into his own finally as a quarterback and throw him the ball. So we're starting to see some nice production. I just think this week he'll be taking this one personally. So I think it'll be fun to watch. [01:35:21] Speaker B: I went with Jerry Judy, I guess for you. [01:35:23] Speaker C: Nice. [01:35:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Bone. [01:35:25] Speaker C: All right, I'll. I'll go along those lines with the offense. I'm going to go. Jameis getting the. Jerry getting Judy the ball. Like Kenny said, revenge game. I'm sure they're talking about this week. He wants James to get on the ball and if he can. Yeah. Limit interceptions and throw for hell. Let's get another 300 yard game under there. [01:35:43] Speaker B: And I feel like Jamis is the guy that, like, if, if, if there's any mention of this in the locker room, James could be all over. He's gonna be like, I want, I got, I want to be that guy that gets you there like, like that's what he's about. So I, I, I like that pick there. You know what that takes us to, guys? [01:35:58] Speaker C: Something, something. [01:35:59] Speaker A: The next thing on the list. [01:36:01] Speaker B: It's time to get gassed up. It time again, boys. I'll play with you everywhere. They're not our sponsor. Stop singing their jingle. It's time to get gassed up. Is there anything that you guys are excited about right now that could be mad excited, that could be happy excited? [01:36:25] Speaker A: I sing all the jingles. [01:36:26] Speaker B: Yeah, you do. It pisses me off. [01:36:28] Speaker C: Christmas music. [01:36:29] Speaker B: You're just giving money away at this point. [01:36:30] Speaker A: I'm like Charlie on Two and a Half Men. [01:36:32] Speaker B: No, Bone, except I have way more sex. Couldn't be further from the truth. Bone, what's getting you guessed up right now? [01:36:45] Speaker C: All right, yeah, I'm a little up in the air on this one, how I feel about it. [01:36:50] Speaker B: But he's not really gassed up. He's still trying to decide if he's gassed. [01:36:54] Speaker C: He told me a story today. So the kids go to school this week two times, Monday and Tuesday. And then it's like Thanksgiving break. And today was like hat day. You can wear a hat if you bring a dollar to give to charity or something, or like a food bank or whatever it is for charity. And then tomorrow is pajama day. [01:37:10] Speaker A: You. [01:37:10] Speaker C: You give a dollar, you get to wear pajamas. So literally today, my daughter, she's in first grade, she has this hat picked out. It's like a pink Santa hat with like Elvis ears or something like that. I don't know, I haven't even seen it, but she wore it to school. Those are Elvis elvirs. [01:37:27] Speaker B: This pink Santa hat with Elvis ears. [01:37:29] Speaker C: Yeah. Well, anyways, she currently has a sub in her class, and my wife, I guess, forgot to put a dollar in her bag or her folder or something. So she didn't work today. So she drove to school, gave the secretary, whoever, a dollar, and was like, hey, can you. This is for my daughter. I forgot to put it in the thing. This person, I guess, didn't tell the teacher. And the teacher literally told my daughter to take her hat off because she didn't have a dollar. And apparently she was the only one that was told to take off her hat. This is a first grade girl, mind you. So I kind of like Bone wasn't. [01:38:10] Speaker A: Decided if he was gassed up or not about this. I'm gassed up about this. I'm gonna go kick some ass. [01:38:15] Speaker B: I can see Bone getting gassed up as we're talking about it. So I know he is gassed up about this. [01:38:20] Speaker C: The more I talk, I'm just like, really? [01:38:23] Speaker D: Like. [01:38:23] Speaker C: Because I'm like, who do you blame more? The person who didn't tell the teacher. But at the same point, the person who didn't tell the teacher probably, like, they're not really going to make her take her hat off. [01:38:30] Speaker A: You know, we're holding first graders accountable here. [01:38:32] Speaker C: That's where I'm. [01:38:33] Speaker B: I blame the teacher. Like, you're a. You're a substitute, first of all. Like, you're not even a real teacher. [01:38:37] Speaker A: Doorman, Doorman. [01:38:39] Speaker B: Like, you're a substitute, and you're gonna sit here off fat and tell me you can't wear a hat. [01:38:48] Speaker C: My wife was way more gassed up than me, and she's mad at me because I wasn't, like, as enthused as she was. [01:38:53] Speaker B: Now you're like, hindsight being 20 20, I should have went in there and head should have rolled. [01:38:58] Speaker A: Geez. [01:39:00] Speaker B: Are you serious? [01:39:01] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm serious. So that happened. [01:39:02] Speaker B: And was your daughter upset? Cause she's like, I don't get to wear my hat. [01:39:05] Speaker C: I think she handled it okay. She like. I think my wife asked her when she got home, like, did you wear your hat? And she's like, no, I was told to take it off. So she actually handled it okay. I think, like, she wasn't like, real. [01:39:15] Speaker A: I'd be like, listen up. My daughter's wearing a hat the rest. [01:39:17] Speaker C: Of the day, so I was proud of her. But my wife, like, wants to write a letter. Like, so tomorrow, if somebody wears pajamas and doesn't have a dollar, they gonna have to take that off. Like, do it. [01:39:25] Speaker A: See? [01:39:26] Speaker B: Strongly, strongly worded letter. [01:39:29] Speaker C: I think it was a mistake. I think this teacher. I think this teacher, looking back on it's gonna be like, well, that was really rude. And the person that the secretary who should have told the teacher about the dollar, who didn't pass it on, like, she told my wife, like, okay, yeah, I'll let him know. And that never happened. So there was like some miscommunication there. And it was just like, it's a first grader and it's a dollar. [01:39:54] Speaker B: I got news for this school district. Yeah, you're a bunch of assholes. [01:39:58] Speaker C: But my fourth grader, who has had this substitute teacher before, has said, this is the best sub that I've. That I've ever had. [01:40:05] Speaker A: Well, now I'm just confused publicly. Tar and feather without the. We're back to this. [01:40:10] Speaker C: I think this teacher made a mistake. I. I don't think they would do it again, but I feel like. [01:40:14] Speaker A: I think Zo's. I think the sub at least owes you a written letter of apology and a dollar to the daughter. [01:40:20] Speaker C: I agree. I agree. [01:40:23] Speaker A: I. I messed up and I want to let you know I'm really sorry. [01:40:26] Speaker C: I agree. [01:40:27] Speaker A: I mean, hell, they should have another hat day just in her honor, right? And just say every. Wear your hats because we goofed up on their day. [01:40:33] Speaker B: I'm in. I'm starting a petition. [01:40:36] Speaker A: If I was, and if I was your wife, I would be in the school tomorrow policing. I'd be like. [01:40:43] Speaker C: She called the school immediately when she told her that and talked to the, literally the lady that she gave the dollar to. And she was very apologetic, like, I'm so sorry. She's like, I'm gonna, I'm gonna talk to this teacher, make sure this doesn't happen again. [01:40:54] Speaker A: I mean, as an adult, these are first grade children. [01:40:56] Speaker C: Yes. Yeah, this is a first. [01:40:58] Speaker B: Tell your wife we're on her side and if there's anybody that she needs to fight or like, you know, she's back up, like, like, I'm going to go there. [01:41:05] Speaker A: I'm going there tomorrow. [01:41:07] Speaker C: When she listens to this, she's going to rip me because she is like, she probably felt like I, I was like, kind of making excuses. I was like, kind of looking at it like, teacher made a mistake. [01:41:15] Speaker B: You talk about it with us and we know. [01:41:17] Speaker C: Yeah, she didn't like when I said that. [01:41:19] Speaker B: Well, let her know that you finally come around, around too, and you realize the, the mistakes that were made and somebody needs to be reprimanded. [01:41:26] Speaker A: This is so. [01:41:26] Speaker B: That's so stupid, stupid, stupid policy. [01:41:30] Speaker A: All right. [01:41:30] Speaker C: I had a good one today. [01:41:31] Speaker A: Those are children. You just don't do that. [01:41:34] Speaker B: That's effed up. Especially like, like, like you said, I. [01:41:37] Speaker A: Was proud of my daughter. [01:41:38] Speaker C: I was like, she was pretty resilient. [01:41:39] Speaker B: If I was your kid, you would not be proud of me. I, I would. I would have. [01:41:44] Speaker A: In the middle of the floor. I like, clean that up. Clean it up again. I'm going again. [01:41:49] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. [01:41:50] Speaker A: My mom gave you a dollar. [01:41:51] Speaker B: Unbelievable. That's. I'm way more gassed up about that than I am my own thing. [01:41:55] Speaker A: I am, too. I'm. [01:41:57] Speaker B: I'm gonna go next. I'm gassed up. Just people not thinking about things before they talk. [01:42:03] Speaker A: No, let's talk about the schooling again. [01:42:05] Speaker B: We're going back to it. What else do you have to say? [01:42:09] Speaker A: It's just the stupidest thing I Ever heard. [01:42:10] Speaker B: I. I just don't understand if she's the only one, too. Like, at that point. Well, and I just go back to your substitute teacher. Like, I'd be like, I don't give a. You kids, do it. Whatever you want. [01:42:19] Speaker A: Like, yeah, whatever thing. Or. Or, like, as an adult, I would. Like, I would probably go to the office and be like, am I really gonna punish a first grader and, like, not let her wear her hat? Like, I would. I would. I would be, like, questioning my own sanity. [01:42:31] Speaker B: Like, yeah, I mean, at that rate, you should have. [01:42:33] Speaker A: You should have said thing to do. [01:42:35] Speaker B: At that rate, you should have sent her to the principal's office and told her she's in big trouble for wearing her hat. What the hell's wrong with you? [01:42:41] Speaker C: They do got a lot going on. This. The subs do. I've seen sub before. For that grade in particular, There is a lot going on. I feel like I would have made a different decision there. I'm like, screw your food drive. Like, the kid can wear the hat, but see, yeah, and she's like, a cute little blonde girl. It's just like, this is just another. [01:42:58] Speaker B: Example of common sense gone out the window. Like, what the hell? [01:43:01] Speaker C: Well, it's just like, I read the paper. It says, I can't let you wear the hat. Oh, okay. Take it off. I don't know. Like, I'm just. Yeah, make a decision. Like, think for yourself, you know? [01:43:10] Speaker B: But I've been like, I don't see a hat. [01:43:13] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:43:13] Speaker A: God, that's just a. [01:43:18] Speaker C: Dumb person now, you guys, you can use this gas stuff as well. [01:43:21] Speaker B: I'm so gassed up right now. My guest up is people not thinking about things before talking and trying to use, like, isolated events to prove points. Specifically, I'm going back to the stadium versus dome talk. Like, all weekend long, all I heard was, this is why we don't get a dome. This is why we don't get a dome. Like, okay, thank you for the one of two times since 1999 that we actually got to enjoy a real snow game in Cleveland. Like, seriously, just get out. Like, and it's. That's just the. What made me gassed up about it. This happens in politics. This happens in, like, literally everything everyday life. Like, people will take one single thing that happens, like, one out of a million times, and they're like, see, I told you. That's why it's like, okay, what about the other 999,000? That I was right on. [01:44:09] Speaker A: What is it about our culture that above Anything else? We have a human desire to be correct. [01:44:16] Speaker C: Pride. [01:44:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:44:18] Speaker A: But, like, why is that? Like, when you think about, like, Matt's last hierarchy of needs, like, the things that come before pride, like, the things that you work for to take care of your family, shelter, and you have a good job and, like, healthcare, I don't know. [01:44:31] Speaker B: But it's. [01:44:32] Speaker A: Why do we have this innate desire to be correct? [01:44:34] Speaker B: It is baffling because, like I said, like I said it earlier in the show, like, I loved watching the snow game. It was awesome. But I also have common sense, and I know that in the grand scheme of things, like the rarity of that versus, like, the conveniences and the other things that come along with having a dome like, that one game does not make me change my mind. And that was the thing is, like, it was. It was a lot of people that previously I'd seen, like, either on the fence or even. Even more so towards a dome. And then I'll all of a sudden, you know, let's. Let's keep the stadium outside. And I'm just like, okay, let's wait three weeks until they lose a snow game at home. [01:45:11] Speaker A: But I was joking. [01:45:13] Speaker B: But I mean, you. Yeah, and I was giving you. Like, that was actually kind of what started is during the game, you're like, this. You can't have this in the dome. And I was like, you. Yeah, I was like, you son of a. I instantly came back. I was like, you're stupid. I was just waiting for. [01:45:29] Speaker A: Russell was tussling it. [01:45:31] Speaker B: No, he didn't. But, yeah, so that gets me. [01:45:33] Speaker C: 270 yards, my friend. [01:45:35] Speaker B: That's just the example. But again, I go back. [01:45:37] Speaker A: Russell was so good. It's amazing they didn't win. [01:45:41] Speaker B: That's just the example. But I go back to people not thinking about things before talking. Like, just, like, realize there's so much more. [01:45:47] Speaker A: It is funny. Like, people, like, politics is a great example. Like, people literally stop being your friend. Like, excommunicate family members. [01:45:54] Speaker B: Well, the best part is they'll wait till that one time that it happens the way they thought it. And they're like, huh? [01:45:58] Speaker A: Well, yeah, told you I'm right. Like, they will sacrifice their entire relationships with people over being right. [01:46:05] Speaker B: Yeah. So, Kenny, what's getting you gassed up? [01:46:08] Speaker A: I don't have a problem because I am always right. [01:46:10] Speaker B: I wrote him for bone, by the way. What was getting him gassed up? Not being able to wear hats. [01:46:17] Speaker A: That is an understatement because that is. That is really the gas dub of my Life right now. [01:46:23] Speaker B: What are you gassed up about, though? [01:46:25] Speaker A: I'm ready to march on D.C. for this. [01:46:27] Speaker B: D.C. they had nothing to do with it. [01:46:29] Speaker A: Well, they're going to know. We are never going to deny a child the right to wear a hat ever again. I have a dream that one day in this country my child be allowed to wear a hat. [01:46:37] Speaker B: What is wrong with that school district? Most school districts don't even have a dress code anymore. [01:46:41] Speaker C: So this was like a one. A one time thing. Hat day, you know? And now it's gone. [01:46:47] Speaker A: Yeah. First he was wearing crop tops and you're worried about a hat? [01:46:49] Speaker B: Yeah. Come on, come on. Where are your priorities? I'm sorry. To all the substitute teachers I called fake teachers. [01:46:56] Speaker A: Doorman, door man. Doorman. [01:46:59] Speaker B: Doorman. [01:47:00] Speaker A: Okay, juice box, is it my turn? [01:47:03] Speaker B: Yeah, he gassed up. [01:47:04] Speaker A: I'm getting guessed. [01:47:04] Speaker B: What are you guessed up about? [01:47:08] Speaker A: I'm gassed up. I'll tell you what I'm gassed up about. [01:47:10] Speaker B: I'm still waiting. [01:47:12] Speaker A: I'm really gassed up when my note doesn't work. Gassed up. David Caruso. He's got me gassed up, guys. [01:47:20] Speaker B: Okay, okay. [01:47:26] Speaker A: I don't guys know David Caruso. [01:47:29] Speaker B: I'm sure you're going to tell us about him. [01:47:31] Speaker A: David Cruz is an actor. [01:47:32] Speaker B: Okay? [01:47:33] Speaker A: He's on like NYPD Blue and like csi. Some city. Redheaded guy, handsome like you probably. You probably seen him on tv. [01:47:43] Speaker C: I'm looking him up right now. [01:47:44] Speaker A: Ring a bell. Like it all, like, just keep. Redheaded, handsome guy. [01:47:47] Speaker B: Yeah, Redheaded handsome guy. Hey, yeah. [01:47:51] Speaker A: Short red hair. [01:47:52] Speaker B: David Caruso, of course. [01:47:53] Speaker A: Like, athletic build, like, kind of like nice looking guy. [01:47:57] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, CSI Miami. [01:47:58] Speaker A: Yeah, like you've seen him. [01:48:00] Speaker B: Well, he looks rough now. [01:48:01] Speaker C: Yeah, he does. [01:48:02] Speaker A: Okay, so here's what I'm getting gassed up about. I'm so sick and tired of all these posts. Like, I literally came across a post. It was like, you wouldn't believe what heartthrob is fat and squirrel scruffily. Now I'm like, this dude was a sex. This dude was a sex symbol 25 years ago. Like, you wouldn't believe it. He's 69 years old. What do you think he looks like? [01:48:23] Speaker B: Yeah, what do you think he looks like? He's 69. That was gonna be my next comment. He is kind of old now. [01:48:27] Speaker A: Do we normalize aging in this country? [01:48:30] Speaker B: No. [01:48:30] Speaker A: Nobody can age poor Kelly McGillis from Top Gun. It's been 40 years. Then we came out in 1986 and they're like, can you believe what Kelly McGillis looks. There's no way they can cast her in the new Top gun. It's been 40 years. [01:48:46] Speaker B: No wonder she looks like shit. Yeah. [01:48:47] Speaker A: She's fat. Yeah. Her hair's gray. [01:48:51] Speaker B: It was 40 years ago. [01:48:52] Speaker A: She was a sex symbol. And we can't believe it. [01:48:54] Speaker B: I can't believe it. [01:48:55] Speaker A: I mean, look, I get that Tom Cruise looks insane, but, like, look, let's be honest. He drinks the blood of virgins inside of L. Ron Hubbard's volcano like, twice a week. [01:49:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:49:03] Speaker A: Like, he's the only one that doesn't age. [01:49:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:49:05] Speaker A: The rest of the world, it's okay to age. [01:49:07] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:49:08] Speaker A: When did we get to this point? We're like, you wouldn't believe how this person looks now with their almost 70. Yeah. Their hair is long and gray and they got fat and they're. They're not. They're not sexy anymore. [01:49:19] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, what the hell. Yeah, that's fair. [01:49:21] Speaker C: High standard. Very high standard. [01:49:22] Speaker B: And I'll say this. My reaction was, well, he looks kind of rough now, but. But I didn't know how old he was. And then he told me he was 69. And I was like, that explains a lot. Like, I don't. I don't really have to look up. Like, that's fine. [01:49:35] Speaker A: You wouldn't believe what this guy looks like. There was on TV in 2001. [01:49:38] Speaker B: And to be fair, I wouldn't. I would never, like, think something like that. Like, you would. Absolutely not. But, like, that's crazy. [01:49:44] Speaker A: I just was just like, see these stories? And I'm just like, can we just. [01:49:49] Speaker B: You're probably real sensitive to this too, because you look like you're like 70. [01:49:52] Speaker A: Fair enough. Can we accept, like, aging and like, getting older is a natural part of life, that just because you're sex symbol today doesn't mean, like, I don't expect Britney Spears to be super hot when she's 70. She'll probably look like a normal old lady. [01:50:08] Speaker B: Have you seen all conspiracy theories about them? Like CGI or Face On? [01:50:12] Speaker A: Probably because she probably not as good looking as she was. As she was 20. [01:50:15] Speaker B: No, that's fair points, though. 70. He's almost 70. [01:50:21] Speaker A: I just pointed. Just being guessed. It's just like, can we normalize age in this country? [01:50:25] Speaker B: Like, not everybody can be Sally Field. [01:50:28] Speaker A: True. She aged well. Like a very fine wine. And she aged down even better. But yeah, I just, I'm just. I've had it with these. I mean, gosh, pick any celebrity that, like, we grew up with. It's been. It's been 20 years, 25 years since they were relevant as like they were famous because they were good looking. They're old now, man. I mean, the guy that plays Indiana Jones, like what's his name? Harrison for like all these, like all these guys were big names. [01:50:56] Speaker B: He was like the ultimate heart throb of. Of Hollywood. He was like, when we were 10, starting to look old when we were 10. [01:51:02] Speaker A: That was 25 years ago. [01:51:04] Speaker B: Listen, I got. So I got. Listen, like in this case, in David. [01:51:06] Speaker A: Cruso's case, he was a sex symbol when he was 35. [01:51:09] Speaker B: Yeah, listen, he's 69 now. You mentioned Harrison Ford, Disney and Lucas films. Stop mace making Indiana Jones films. That dude, every time he's gassed up for another day, like, he just looks old. He looks old. I'm getting asked up about that next time. You talked about how people are allowed to age and I'm like, well, stop casting them in movies then. That's fair. Yeah. [01:51:36] Speaker A: Like when you get to that point, David caruso and Kelly McGillis don't need to be in the movie anymore. That's okay. We can normalize that and accept that. It's okay. [01:51:43] Speaker B: All right, let's take a breath. A cleansing breath, everybody. In through the nose, out through the mouth. And with that, let's get into King of the North. All right, we're going to do this again. Kenny, you ready? [01:52:15] Speaker A: What are we doing? [01:52:16] Speaker B: In case anyone doesn't know by now, this is our year long AFC north pickup competition at the end of the season, whoever comes in last place gets punished. In the preseason last year, Kenny had a gross of eggs thrown at him by fans in the muni lot before a game. In the preseason this year, Kenny had his entire head of hair and beard shaved. Clean off. Donated. All of it. Good job, buddy. Good job. [01:52:34] Speaker A: That was. [01:52:34] Speaker B: That was one of the closest times like that was. That was one of the times where I came the closest to respecting you in my entire life. [01:52:41] Speaker A: That's nice. At least I was closer. [01:52:43] Speaker B: I didn't though. [01:52:44] Speaker A: I wouldn't want you to. [01:52:45] Speaker B: Yeah. So punishment this season will be have to go to a public pool, get in, and then publicly announce that you have peed and said pool. Now we are a little worried about the legalities of this. [01:52:55] Speaker A: I'm not. You guys have both voice concerns. [01:52:57] Speaker B: Yeah. So Kenny, can you. Can you throw out Tabone because he wasn't here last week when we first talked about it. [01:53:03] Speaker A: I've suggested an alternate perform punishment that is maybe more devastating or at least equally devastating. In my okay, so should you lose the King of the north, the punishment would be that you eat hot dogs until you throw up. Just like a bunch of hot dogs. [01:53:23] Speaker B: Bones probably like, I don't give a shit. I'm a first place. I'm good. [01:53:27] Speaker C: I like eat. I like eating punishments. [01:53:30] Speaker A: You don't stop until you puke. [01:53:31] Speaker C: Okay. [01:53:32] Speaker A: Because like, how many hot dogs you think you could eat? Like, in a. Like before you really felt sick? [01:53:36] Speaker C: What's Joey Chestnut not do like 80? [01:53:38] Speaker A: Yeah, he does like 6, 60, 70. Yeah, I don't know. [01:53:40] Speaker C: I think I could do 25. [01:53:43] Speaker B: That's what I said. [01:53:44] Speaker A: He said 50. I think you guys are nuts. I think after like 10 hot dogs, I would be like, I am. [01:53:49] Speaker B: Is this full hot dog bun and everything? [01:53:51] Speaker A: I think it should just be hot dogs by themselves. [01:53:55] Speaker B: Are they cooked? [01:53:56] Speaker A: Because with a bun you might enjoy it. [01:53:57] Speaker B: Right? [01:53:57] Speaker C: That's what I'm like. I enjoy a hot dog. [01:53:59] Speaker A: No, I want this pain. [01:54:01] Speaker B: So with that being said, is it. [01:54:02] Speaker A: Like you could cover it maybe? [01:54:03] Speaker B: Is it cooked? Or do you get the pre cooked ones then you just eat them raw cooking. [01:54:06] Speaker A: We'll throw them on a. Yeah, I'm in. And you can. And you can even throw some ketchup mustard on top. I'll let ketchup mustard. [01:54:13] Speaker B: I want to enjoy it at the beginning. [01:54:15] Speaker A: But no buns. [01:54:16] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess if you throw a ketchup of mustard on top, though, it could get pretty rough. [01:54:19] Speaker A: Enjoy the horse. [01:54:20] Speaker C: Ran either of you ever seen the mad TV Kenny Rogers dairy challenge back in the day where they eat a lot of dairy, like on camera, start throwing up everywhere? [01:54:31] Speaker A: No, but I did. [01:54:32] Speaker C: We did Rogers character. Oh, it's great. [01:54:34] Speaker A: Were you in the fields of this the day we did the Capri challenge? [01:54:37] Speaker C: No. I have heard stories. Yeah, but. [01:54:40] Speaker A: Yeah, that's one where you basically. I mean, it's almost basically physically impossible to fill your belly with that much liquid in 15 minutes. Okay, so you just. Basically everybody just pukes by the time they get like 12 in and they just projectile vomiting Capri sun back out. It's a beautiful thing. [01:54:55] Speaker B: Maybe our punishment should be Caprice on challenge. [01:54:57] Speaker A: I've done the Capri sun challenge in one though, because I just hate puking. I refuse to puke. I just will swear swallow it back down. But I. But I feel bad. [01:55:03] Speaker B: Disgusting. [01:55:04] Speaker A: I feel bad. [01:55:05] Speaker B: I hope you lose. King of the north then. And we go with punishment. [01:55:07] Speaker A: The only one that didn't puke. Everybody else projectile. [01:55:09] Speaker B: We're gonna have to do like a time lapse. It's gonna be like. Like. Like 12 hours. Then finally, Kenny just throws up. [01:55:14] Speaker A: But hot dogs is just one of those gross things to throw up because it's just hot doggy tasting. [01:55:18] Speaker B: And now that we've talked about it enough. [01:55:21] Speaker A: So do we accept this as an alternate foreign. [01:55:23] Speaker C: I accept as the alternate. Yes. [01:55:24] Speaker B: Oh, it's. I'm. Regardless, I'm outvoted because it's you two. I was waiting to hear what Bone had to say, and he just went with it and said, I accept. So that will be our alternate. [01:55:33] Speaker A: Feels fitting, right? [01:55:34] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:55:34] Speaker B: That's our alternate form of punishment. Should we not legally be allowed to tell everybody we peed in the pool? Yeah, fair enough. So first things first. I want to remind everybody that Bone is the reigning defending king of the North. Kenny, you're a clown. Although, admittedly, I still find myself in last place. And I'm getting deep. I'm getting really hiccup. Really tired of saying that this season. [01:55:57] Speaker A: I love it. [01:55:57] Speaker B: I don't. The records for everybody, Bone. 20 and 8. I'm sorry. Yeah. 20 and 18. And then Kenny and me. In that order. 17 and 21. So let's get into this week's games. The Ravens will be at home against the Eagles. Bone, who you got? [01:56:17] Speaker C: Man, that's hard. [01:56:18] Speaker B: Yeah, that's what she said. [01:56:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:56:25] Speaker B: Nice, man. [01:56:28] Speaker C: Oh, man. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go Eagles. [01:56:39] Speaker B: Ooh, he's going Eagles. [01:56:42] Speaker A: Any particular thought process there? [01:56:46] Speaker C: I think their passing attack is pretty good. AJ Brown is a stud, and Baltimore's passing attack or defense sucks. [01:56:57] Speaker B: Fair. Fair enough. [01:56:59] Speaker A: Fair enough. You want piece of all the action? [01:57:00] Speaker B: Kenny, who you got? [01:57:02] Speaker C: And what's that running back they got over there, guys? Yeah, he's pretty good. [01:57:06] Speaker A: He's pretty good. He had a good game this week. [01:57:09] Speaker B: Not bad. Not bad. Kenny, who you got? [01:57:12] Speaker A: O. I feel like I should be picking with Bone because Bone's gonna be getting them right. [01:57:21] Speaker B: We just go with Bone the rest of the season. [01:57:24] Speaker A: I'm gonna go Ravens, though. They're gonna be home licking their wounds after they lose the Harbaugh Bowl. Harbaugh here against the Chargers and knowing that they gotta get things right. I do think this is a tough game to pick. I mean, I think this is gonna be a close game. Both teams have strengths, and I think it's probably one of the best games of the week to watch, for sure. But push comes to shove, I'll go Ravens at home. [01:57:53] Speaker B: Oh, boy. Well, I guess it's my turn. I'm going to go. I'm going to go with the Eagles. [01:58:03] Speaker A: Fly. [01:58:04] Speaker C: Eagles fly. [01:58:06] Speaker B: They both have good defenses. They both have good restaurants. I think where the difference is going to be made is that the Eagles have a complete offense. And I thought the Ravens can't pass the ball. That's not what I'm saying. They still can, but their. Their passing attack isn't as efficient as the Eagles passing the leading passer in the league. Well, then I guess that's all. So do you want me to pick with you? Is that what you're going with? [01:58:33] Speaker A: No. [01:58:36] Speaker B: God. Now. Now I'm rethinking everything. I just hate. [01:58:41] Speaker A: That's a hard one. [01:58:42] Speaker C: It's a hard freaking game. [01:58:43] Speaker B: I'm going with the Eagles. Their defense is better. [01:58:47] Speaker C: They're going to. [01:58:47] Speaker B: They're. I think they're going to. They're going to hold the Ravens to less points. [01:58:53] Speaker A: Jalen hurts is below Bo Nicks. [01:58:56] Speaker B: That's fine. That's fine. I'm going with the Eagles. I think the Eagles get them. [01:59:01] Speaker A: All right. [01:59:02] Speaker B: I don't know. I don't know. You completely shit on me. I'm still under the infl. Admittedly, I'm under this whole, like, Lamar's not a good passer, but then you look at it, and he's pretty good passer. So. Yeah, I don't know. [01:59:14] Speaker A: He's pretty good runner. [01:59:15] Speaker B: Fuck it. Are you sure? What are you trying to do to me? [01:59:21] Speaker A: Do whatever you want. [01:59:25] Speaker B: All right, next up here we've got the Steel, the Steelers traveling a couple hours southwest to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. [01:59:32] Speaker A: All the way to Kentucky. [01:59:33] Speaker B: Yeah, all the way to Kentucky. Cincinnati. Kentucky. Don't go there. Kenny, who you got? [01:59:43] Speaker A: I'm gonna go Bengals here. I think Bengals are trying to get back in this playoff race. They're kind of down and out, but I think that you're gonna get a best effort here against the Steelers knowing that they're coming off an ugly loss. So I'll go Bengals. [02:00:04] Speaker B: I'll go next. I'm going to go Bengals as well. I just was. I know it was a snowball, but I just. The Steelers seem soft. [02:00:19] Speaker A: Weren't that impressed. [02:00:20] Speaker B: Yeah, I was not that impressed. The Bengals can score a shit ton of points, and I think that's the difference in this one. I know. I know the Steelers have a good defense, but the Bengals have scored against good defenses all year long. Now, will they stop anybody? Who knows? Great question, but I think if you. If you get into some sort of shootout situation, I would say advantage, home team, in my opinion. So I'm going to go Bengals in this one. Bone, who you got? [02:00:45] Speaker C: Man, My first. My first thought was the Steelers just losing. I did. I don't know. Not losing back to back games. The smart play would just be the Bengals. But I'm going to keep it interesting. I'm going to go to Steelers. [02:01:01] Speaker B: Oh, nice. [02:01:03] Speaker C: I really want to eat those hot dogs. [02:01:12] Speaker B: Fair, man. That's making me start to rethink my Ravens pick now. I kind of want to go against Bone. Like, both of us catch up to him right here. Should I do it? [02:01:29] Speaker A: It's over for you. Already picked. It's like who Wants to Be a Millionaire? It's locked in. [02:01:33] Speaker B: No, it's not the end of the episode yet. [02:01:36] Speaker A: Final answer. [02:01:37] Speaker B: Yeah, it's not the end of the episode. I'll think on it a little bit more. And then the Browns games. Up next, Browns head out west to take on the Denver Broncos. I said a lot of things in that one small sentence that are going against the Browns. The Browns head out west, which they're really bad at, to play the Denver Broncos, who they're really bad against, in prime time. Who they're. It's just not good. So I'm going to go Broncos 23, 21. Kenny, who you got? [02:02:06] Speaker A: Yeah, I agree. All those things are working against the Browns, so clearly this is the game that they're actually going to win. I'm going to go Browns. [02:02:12] Speaker C: Wow. [02:02:15] Speaker A: I'm going to go. [02:02:17] Speaker B: What's your score here? [02:02:19] Speaker A: I'm going to go Brown. Browns 21, 16. [02:02:25] Speaker B: I did not see that coming. Bone, who you got? [02:02:29] Speaker C: Oh, man, I. They haven't put it together two weeks in a row yet. [02:02:33] Speaker B: Go with the Browns. This is their week, man. [02:02:36] Speaker C: I can't do it. I've got to pick the Broncos. Didn't we play them in Mile High Stadium last year, too? [02:02:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:02:42] Speaker C: Where's our, you know, where's our comeback home moment? We're back. We're back in Denver. [02:02:46] Speaker A: We like Denver too much. [02:02:47] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, Yeah. I. I think I picked them last year to win and they whooped us, like. [02:02:53] Speaker B: Yeah, they did. [02:02:53] Speaker A: Oh, we always lose that west. [02:02:55] Speaker B: Yeah, we got humped. That's why you're picking them. Gosh. [02:02:57] Speaker C: All right. I'm picking Broncos. Yeah. [02:02:59] Speaker A: I'm just going to momentum pick, man. [02:03:01] Speaker C: They got Broncos 26, Browns 17. [02:03:06] Speaker A: And they got the mini by. [02:03:07] Speaker B: I like how he's on the fence and then he picks them to win handily. [02:03:10] Speaker A: They got the mini. They got the mini bag coming off of the Thursday game. Getting an extra day Playing on Monday. They got the rest. [02:03:16] Speaker C: Man, I'd love to see it. [02:03:17] Speaker A: They got the momentum. [02:03:18] Speaker B: Remember what they did after their by week. [02:03:19] Speaker C: Shaky on what they're going to do. [02:03:21] Speaker B: They went to New Orleans and laid an egg. Yeah. [02:03:24] Speaker A: James understands, though. There's a rivalry here too, though, and he's gonna be like, it's not. I'm not a Browns quarterback till I beat Denver. [02:03:29] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:03:30] Speaker A: So I've righted the wrongs of the past. [02:03:31] Speaker C: I remember the drive. [02:03:32] Speaker A: I remember the fumble. People do remember those things. But I'm gonna change it, guys. [02:03:37] Speaker B: I'm changing my Eagles pick to the Ravens. [02:03:39] Speaker A: Oh, God, here we go. [02:03:40] Speaker C: Unbelievable. [02:03:40] Speaker A: Unbelievable. [02:03:41] Speaker B: I had to do it. I had to do it. [02:03:43] Speaker A: Now I'm going Eagles. [02:03:44] Speaker B: Are you going Eagles? No, I'm going Ravens. [02:03:48] Speaker A: It's so hard. [02:03:49] Speaker B: That's the hardest game this week. [02:03:51] Speaker A: Still gotta go with the team you think is gonna win. [02:03:53] Speaker B: I know. Well, it's like, to me, it's literally like that's a pick. Em. Like you. Like. I don't know. [02:03:57] Speaker A: Yeah, I think it's like, who has the ball last? [02:03:59] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:03:59] Speaker A: I think it's gonna be that type of game. [02:04:01] Speaker B: Yeah. Damn it. I want the Eagles. I'm staying with the Ravens. I'm going with the Ravens. That's it. That's it. [02:04:09] Speaker A: This was an ugly segment. [02:04:10] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [02:04:12] Speaker B: I'm sorry, guys. I just. I couldn't make up my mind. [02:04:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:04:16] Speaker B: I just. I. [02:04:17] Speaker A: The worst reading. [02:04:18] Speaker B: I'm still not sold on it. [02:04:20] Speaker A: Oh, no. [02:04:21] Speaker B: We can revisit it if you. [02:04:22] Speaker A: I'm not really sold on it either. [02:04:23] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:04:24] Speaker A: But with that picture, the Browns to win. [02:04:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. You're insane. Now, good to hear from Kenny Mack following through. He said. He said, you guys got a hotline? I'll call in, leave one. No, I mean, yeah, good points. We talked about it already. [02:09:38] Speaker B: In the first sentence, Kenny Mack said a boot and I knew it was him. [02:09:41] Speaker C: What are you talking about? [02:09:43] Speaker B: What do you got for us? You've been building these facts up bones, right? And I'm it's been suspenseful and I want to know. [02:09:49] Speaker A: All right. Are you ready? Are you sure you're ready? [02:09:51] Speaker C: Ready? [02:09:52] Speaker B: My balls better be blown off. [02:09:54] Speaker A: Let me just first say make apologies for these. These pronunciations. Going to do my best. [02:10:03] Speaker B: I'm scared now, but go on. Number one. [02:10:08] Speaker A: Number one. Chargo gaggo gag man. Chow gago got chow boona goona gamug. [02:10:24] Speaker B: What the hell was that? [02:10:26] Speaker A: That is a lake located in Massachusetts. [02:10:29] Speaker B: Of course it is. What? [02:10:31] Speaker A: This is a lake near Algonquin. With. It's the longest named place in the United States. [02:10:42] Speaker B: They're so good. Bonyan. [02:10:46] Speaker A: The name means fishing place at the boundaries. [02:10:50] Speaker B: Well, of course it's so long. [02:10:52] Speaker A: It's a whole sentence neutral meeting grounds. And that's in Nipmuc. Whatever language that is. But it does have 45 letters in it, making it the longest named place in the United States of America. [02:11:06] Speaker C: Wow. [02:11:07] Speaker B: Say that again. [02:11:09] Speaker A: Same way. [02:11:10] Speaker B: Yeah, let's do it. [02:11:12] Speaker A: Chargo. Gago. Gag, man. Chow. Gaga. Go. Chow. Bunga. [02:11:21] Speaker B: Perfect. Nailed it. [02:11:26] Speaker A: Number two. [02:11:26] Speaker B: That's weird, man. Go on. [02:11:30] Speaker A: Number two. Landfare. Pill. Gwing. Will go. Grocery. Churn. [02:11:38] Speaker B: Do. [02:11:39] Speaker A: Wow. Billy Wanty. Silly. Go. Gotch. [02:11:44] Speaker B: What. [02:11:47] Speaker C: We need like a native correspondent. [02:11:49] Speaker A: Isn'T also one of the longest place names in the world. This is located in Europe, in Wales, with 58 letters. This village of the island of Anglesey means the Church of St. Mary in the hollow of White Hazel near a rapid whirlpool. In the church of Tilsio of the Red Cave. [02:12:09] Speaker B: Why in the fuck would you make that one? Listen, can we revisit Gassed up? Because I am pissed right now. Are you just. Is that your goal? Is that your goal just to piss everyone off because you like to name things stupid shit? Like. That's literally a paragraph in one word. Why? Why? [02:12:28] Speaker A: Number three. [02:12:31] Speaker B: The hell. [02:12:36] Speaker A: Tomato Kata. Gango Kaw. Tomato Chirpu Kaka. P. Raga. Kuka Puko Kai. This, my friends, is the longest placed name in the world. [02:12:58] Speaker C: Wow. [02:12:59] Speaker A: In New Zealand. It is a hill in the north island. And its name means the summit where Tamata, the man with big knees, the climber of mountains, the land swallower who traveled about played his nose flying to his loved one. [02:13:16] Speaker B: Can't make this shit up. [02:13:17] Speaker A: It's a thousand foot hill near the township of Parangahu and holds the Guinness World record for longest place name with a whopping 85 characters. Locals, however, call it Talmata or Tamada Hill. [02:13:30] Speaker B: Yeah, Much easier. [02:13:31] Speaker C: Much. [02:13:31] Speaker B: That's like a normal name. [02:13:32] Speaker A: Much, much easier. A couple honorable mentions here. Great. [02:13:39] Speaker B: I love this. This is fantastic. Let's. [02:13:43] Speaker A: I want to be thorough here. [02:13:44] Speaker B: Can I. Can I propose a third punishment is trying to pronounce all these names or trying to spell them if you don't get it right. That took a turn. I wasn't ready for that. Yeah. Nope. I'm out. [02:13:57] Speaker A: I just want to be very clear here. The reason there is a Reason we have an honorable mention is because if you think you know facts for days, you might be like, that's not right. Well, here's the deal. Those are the three longest place names in the world. And here's why. Some research on the Internet may tell you something different. You may google this and you may get a different response because which none of. [02:14:21] Speaker B: None of this comes from Google, by the way. It all comes from Kenny's brain. [02:14:25] Speaker A: Comes from my brain. [02:14:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:14:26] Speaker A: The longest place of any place in the world is actually called Krung Thap Mahanakan. Amran Ran Kosin Maharaj. [02:15:01] Speaker B: It took you about 36 seconds to pronounce that, by the way. [02:15:05] Speaker A: So this is 169 letters. [02:15:07] Speaker B: Of course it is. [02:15:08] Speaker A: And this is actually the ceremonial designation for the capital city of Bangkok, Thailand. But I don't consider that the longest name of any place in the world because if you could see the words spelled out, those are like 18 different words. Whereas the three that I read you were one word per place. [02:15:29] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, it's got to be one word. [02:15:30] Speaker A: Yes, but this is. That's technically the name. So you quick Google search may tell you the longest city name in the world is actually Bangkok. And here's what it says. [02:15:37] Speaker B: They actually put a paragraph into a name, but that is a paragraph, a paragraph, one word. [02:15:41] Speaker A: And it is a paragraph that means a city of angels, great city of immortals, magnificent city of the nine gems, a seat of the king, city of royal palaces, home of the gods incarnate, erected by Viveshwar Karman at Indra's behest. Of course, there's an alternate translation as. [02:15:57] Speaker B: Well, but it's also the well known motto of the city. [02:16:01] Speaker A: So I just want to make sure that we were very clear that the three that I laid out. There is a street sign with those names. Just it's one word. You drive past and go, that's where I'm going. And final honorable mention. Technically speaking, I know you kind of gave me a time you said that took you so long to say technically speaking, the longest word in English, scientifically known as Titan, is made up of over 189,000 letters. It's so long that if you try to put it in the English dictionary. [02:16:37] Speaker B: Wait, what? What? Wait, no. [02:16:40] Speaker A: Tin is the shortened version of this. It's. It's a scientific name for the largest protein in the human body. So it's like a DNA strand. And so it's so long, if you try to put it in the English dictionary, you would need more than 50 pages for word alone. And it would take over three hours to pronounce it. [02:17:00] Speaker C: That is. [02:17:01] Speaker B: Why is that a word? Like you've defeated language when you can. [02:17:07] Speaker A: Just call it Titan? [02:17:08] Speaker B: Yeah. Like literally. Literally everything that language was created for you on it when you made that word. [02:17:17] Speaker A: It's the longest word in the world. [02:17:20] Speaker B: That probably makes bone hungry. [02:17:22] Speaker C: I just know. [02:17:23] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:17:23] Speaker C: Instead of like saying brother, people say bro. It's so hard to say brother. Bruh. He said bro. [02:17:30] Speaker B: That's true. He's. He makes a good point valid. [02:17:32] Speaker A: It's fair enough. [02:17:32] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:17:33] Speaker C: Yeah. All right, well, I am tired, so. And hungry, so I'm going to sleep. But I'm gonna eat first, so. Bon appetit. [02:17:42] Speaker A: You don't want to hear me pronounce any more names? [02:17:44] Speaker C: No. [02:17:46] Speaker B: You almost put him to sleep.
