Episode Transcript

[00:00:00] Ronnie Jams: Tapping media. It's time. [00:00:23] Kenny Thunder: Time for the Burning River Sportscast. They say winning cures all. Two in one is an unfamiliar feeling. I can't believe I'm saying this. The Steelers and the jets on deck. A 4 and 1 start is not out of the question. I wouldn't say desean has turned back the clock by any stretch, but he has sucked considerably less ass than he has in recent years. And if he continues to play mistake free football and this team continues to improve week over week, we may be opening doors to even more unusual places. Is it time to revise our early season predictions? Is the ceiling much higher than we anticipated or are we right on schedule? The one thing we know for sure is we know nothing at all. And we'll break it all down for you next on the Burning River Sportscast. [00:01:21] Speaker C: If all you're going to do is be a whiny ass bitch about it, then you are who we thought you were and we don't want you as part of the family. [00:01:31] Ronnie Jams: Is happy Bob from the Browns backers of North Jersey. [00:01:34] Kenny Thunder: It's okay. Desean Watson's winning games. Everybody loves him. He's a hero. [00:01:37] Ronnie Jams: He's a hero. [00:01:39] Speaker D: Let's talk about the game, though. Oh, baby. Mason Graham. How sweet it is. [00:01:46] Ronnie Jams: Oh, yeah. Let's call Browns. [00:01:51] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:01:51] Ronnie Jams: This week's nominees. Kenny Dakota, fainting. He's John Wick over there. He's like people have been. [00:01:57] The Bone Man: I can't like, I'm back. [00:01:58] Ronnie Jams: I'm thinking I'm back. [00:02:00] Kenny Thunder: I'm thinking I'm back. [00:02:01] The Bone Man: I can't forget what DeSean has brought to this team the last four years. [00:02:04] Kenny Thunder: So you heard it here first. Keanu Reeves, hero. Really? Him and DeSean Watson, Watson, hero. Keanu Reeves, hero. Nick Cage, hero. John Goodman, hero. [00:02:14] Ronnie Jams: Oh, greatest American actor of all time. [00:02:17] Kenny Thunder: Can I launch an unfounded, irresponsible yes. Theory? [00:02:23] Speaker F: Sure. [00:02:24] Kenny Thunder: The reckoning is coming with the conversation of what are you going to do with this man? [00:02:29] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, he's going to get the business. [00:02:30] Kenny Thunder: True, we're not sure who will win the game, but if it were a hot dog eating contest, it would definitely be Mike McCarthy. A lot can be said about [00:02:40] Speaker F: I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't. I don't like bees because they black or yellow. [00:02:45] Speaker G: But when you win in Cleveland, it feels better than any other win anywhere else. [00:02:55] Kenny Thunder: Welcome into the Burning River Sportscast presented by the fine folks at Tapping Media. I'm Kenny Thunder and across from me today, if ugly was currency, he'd be Bigger than Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos combined. He's red hot. Ronnie Jams. [00:03:10] Ronnie Jams: You know it. [00:03:10] Kenny Thunder: And on the boards today, he's got more clams than a chowder. Cohogs and top necks and such. He's the big bone man. [00:03:16] Speaker C: Bone. [00:03:18] The Bone Man: Yes. [00:03:20] Kenny Thunder: You familiar with Winnie the Pooh? The Pooh bear? [00:03:22] The Bone Man: Yes. It was actually first written in 1926. [00:03:25] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:03:25] Kenny Thunder: What is the. What is the Pooh bear like? [00:03:27] Speaker F: It's 100. [00:03:28] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, it's 100 years. [00:03:30] The Bone Man: Yellow and furry. [00:03:32] Kenny Thunder: What does he like to eat? Oh, honey, honey, honey. What would bears be without bees? [00:03:39] Ronnie Jams: There'd be ears. [00:03:40] Kenny Thunder: Ears. Good one. Good job. Back to red hot. Often replicated, never duplicated. [00:04:46] Kenny Thunder: So many guests. [00:04:47] Ronnie Jams: Guess so. Break out the fancy china, because we're having guests and it's time to feast. Let's get things started with the news story of the week. [00:04:59] Kenny Thunder: Not the Burning river news story of the week, just the news story. Generic, generic news story ended. All right, [00:05:08] Ronnie Jams: I have a correction. This is the Burning river news story of the week. [00:05:23] Kenny Thunder: Break out the fancy china. We're having guests and it's time to feast. That reminded me of Conair when he's like, tie ribbon around the old oak tree. Your boy's coming home. [00:05:34] Ronnie Jams: Put down the bunny. That's the greatest line, any movie. [00:05:39] Speaker D: What's. [00:05:40] Kenny Thunder: There's a second greatest line in that movie. What's his, his girlfriend or wife's name? [00:05:45] Ronnie Jams: I don't know. [00:05:46] Speaker D: God. [00:05:47] Kenny Thunder: What's his. What's her name? When he, when after he kills all the guys, he's. What's her name? He's like Virginia or whatever her name is. [00:05:56] Ronnie Jams: That movie is just, just, just ensemble cast. [00:06:00] Kenny Thunder: It's just. [00:06:03] The Bone Man: He's so. [00:06:04] Ronnie Jams: He's just devastated that he killed those guys. [00:06:08] The Bone Man: How do you like that fact check? [00:06:10] Ronnie Jams: He did it. He did it. [00:06:11] The Bone Man: Finally did it. [00:06:14] Ronnie Jams: Man, that movie is so good. You got John Cute sack running around trying to catch everyone. Cutest sag in the game anyways. Burning of a new story of the week. The Cleveland Guardians have clinched the AL Central Division this past week for the third consecutive year. They're just such a well run organization. They. [00:06:32] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, they're just out here doing it. [00:06:34] Ronnie Jams: Nobody does more with less. [00:06:35] Kenny Thunder: That's true. [00:06:37] Ronnie Jams: It's both a compliment, but kind of not a compliment. But it really is a compliment because I do actually believe that it's the best run organization in sports. [00:06:45] Kenny Thunder: It really is a testament to your. Money isn't all that matters. It certainly helps and obviously the big market teams still tend to win. [00:06:54] Ronnie Jams: It brings up a curious argument like what would happen if they did spend money. Although it doesn't always pay off for them. I mean exhibit A is like the last time they spent money was Incarnacion who maybe had one good season here and then before that it was Travis Hafner and who is the center fielder? Grady Sanders or Grady. Grady Sizemore. And both of them proceeded to get hurt and like never play. [00:07:20] Kenny Thunder: Those ones are a while back. But I feel like the last time they spent money during the like in carnacion years was they went to the [00:07:25] The Bone Man: World Series, brought in Miller, Andrew Miller and Raj Davis. I don't know how much money they spent on those guys. [00:07:31] Ronnie Jams: They didn't spend all that money. [00:07:32] Kenny Thunder: It was the highest the payroll's been in years. It was like 120 some million dollars. [00:07:36] Ronnie Jams: No, I agree. But the big, the big catch in that whole thing was Incarnacion. And that's the reason why they don't spend money is because he didn't put up nearly the number they paid him to put up. So did he go to the Super Bowl? [00:07:46] Speaker F: No. [00:07:48] Ronnie Jams: They did make the World Series though. So you're right there. But no, just top to bottom. A well run organization. [00:07:54] Kenny Thunder: Top to bottom. [00:07:55] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. And congratulations to the Guardians. I'm pretty excited for playoff baseball. It's the only time I like to watch. So. [00:08:02] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, I mean, I don't know, like if they'll win anything, but hey, they're [00:08:06] Ronnie Jams: going to win the World Series. [00:08:07] Kenny Thunder: They're here. [00:08:07] The Bone Man: I'm just pumped because I already have HBO Max and that's where it's going to be streamed. [00:08:12] Kenny Thunder: That seems odd. [00:08:13] The Bone Man: Yeah, I agree because it's like a sister thing of like TBS and TNT apparently. So if they stream on TBS or tnt, HBO Max gets to also stream it. [00:08:23] Kenny Thunder: I never catch those stories because I pay a thousand dollars a month for cables. [00:08:26] Ronnie Jams: So here's the deal. The Guardians are winning the World Series. Book it. [00:08:31] Kenny Thunder: Okay. They're gonna win the whole thing, I guess. [00:08:34] Ronnie Jams: Can you handle that? [00:08:34] The Bone Man: I can't wait. I can't wait. [00:08:37] Ronnie Jams: We don't have to wait much longer. [00:08:39] The Bone Man: Actually. Start Saturday. [00:08:40] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, yeah. Anyways, go guards. Yeah. Now it's time to talk to you about the Bernie Kozar autographed jersey giveaway. Kenny, you're supposed to be doing this. Hold that up. Yes. For the fourth year in a row, we're giving away some autograph Browns memorabilia. This one's a big one. Bernie Kozar autograph jersey, baby. [00:08:59] Kenny Thunder: Bernie Kozar's jersey. But it is a Bernie Kosar jersey. [00:09:02] Ronnie Jams: Autographed by. By burning. [00:09:03] Kenny Thunder: Autographed by Bernie Co. [00:09:05] Ronnie Jams: Plenty of ways to enter. Head to our social medias, check it out, get entered, earn some bonus entries. Sign up now. Do it. [00:09:11] Speaker G: Do it. [00:09:12] Kenny Thunder: Cool. [00:09:12] Ronnie Jams: Do it. Another thing, before we get to the Browns, let me remind everybody to call it burger sports. [00:09:16] Kenny Thunder: Guys, [00:09:19] Ronnie Jams: leave your hot takes on a hot take hotline. Kenny, we have any hot takes right now? [00:09:21] Kenny Thunder: We got the hot takes. [00:09:23] Ronnie Jams: We got the hot takes. [00:09:25] Kenny Thunder: Monogam fixed the hot take hotline and now everybody's been calling it. It's the hottest hot take hot line in the game. [00:09:32] Ronnie Jams: Well, let's hear one then. I've been waiting long enough. All right, you guys, this is Matt [00:09:37] Speaker C: from Nashville and here's my thoughts on this hazing that has got to happen. All right, let's say hazing anymore. Like hazing where nobody really gets hurt. Hazing has to happen for Deshawn Watson to ever think about really being a dog. And I have this friend of mine named John married to this wonderful woman named Leonie in Australia. And Australia, like they are not thin skinned people. Like we are in the US at all. So this is what they would do when a new guy was marrying into the family. Now the brothers in law, or the actual brothers of his wife, they grab this guy and they say hey, let's go surf, mate. And they would drive about an hour away and as this guy, the new guy to the family, would get his board off the top of the van and head down to jump in the water and go. All these guys would just top back in the van and they would drive away. We just leave him there to figure out how he's gonna get back an hour away. And. And if the guy could be a good sport about it, then they knew that he had what it takes to actually be a part of that family. So I don't know, Americans might see that as cruel. I find that as people gotta. People gotta kind of re Earn stuff, you know? So I think that if anything's happening, this is like, listen, you take the worst that we can give because we need to see what you're made of. We need to put the full psychological stress test on this guy. We need to get you as hyped up as you, ramped up as you possibly can and not break. So probably too optimistic of a read. But if you're thinking like, is it a weird act of love to kind of say we need to push you to a breaking point? Because we need someone that can deliver. We need to remove all illusion, remove all fantasy. And if you can stand up when we do that, then you know what, welcome home. But if all you're gonna do is be a whiny ass bitch about it, then you are who we thought you were and we don't want you as part of the family. So there you go, little psychology lesson musing from Australia on this dilemma. And who knows? I'm probably full of crap anyway. Go Browns. [00:12:09] Ronnie Jams: So I like. I kind of like where we're going here. What hazing can we come up with? We won't call it hazing. That's a bad word. What tests? Psychological tests as Matthew from Nashville. It was Nashville, right? Yeah. Matthew from Nashville put it. What psychological logical test can we come up with to put Deshaun Watson through? [00:12:29] Kenny Thunder: I feel like, what's it in the replacements where he's like, just let him through. Instead of that, they just let him get tackled. The whole offensive line just turns around [00:12:38] Ronnie Jams: and watches him get [00:12:41] Kenny Thunder: lookout blocks. [00:12:42] Ronnie Jams: Is that the replacements? Oh, yeah. [00:12:45] The Bone Man: He's just like, you know what, guys? I deserve that. I got you next play. [00:12:49] Kenny Thunder: I mean, I'm in favor of taking desean to Australia and leaving him an hour away from civilization him and see how it pans out. [00:12:56] Ronnie Jams: Is that the place? We just take him to Australia? Too bad the Browns don't Have an international game this year. Just be like, hey, can you make it home? [00:13:03] The Bone Man: That was a pretty well thought out call. I like that whole. [00:13:06] Kenny Thunder: Matt's a storyteller. [00:13:07] The Bone Man: Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was good. [00:13:09] Kenny Thunder: That's. [00:13:10] Speaker F: He's. [00:13:10] Kenny Thunder: He's a little more thoughtful than. Than the average caller. [00:13:14] Ronnie Jams: I wasn't sure where he was going with that for a minute, and then I. Then we got there and really tied it together. I like that. [00:13:19] Kenny Thunder: He really did. He brought. He brought the whole. Whole thing home. [00:13:21] Ronnie Jams: So. But I get, you know, I actually. Look, I'm never going to welcome it into my family, but. Or let him anywhere near my family, but I get where he's going with this. I just don't think that Deshaun Watson has the balls, the stones to be able to do this. I mean, he's like ballist Kevin, so he's gonna be a whiny ass bitch about it, to use Matt's words. [00:13:48] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, I mean, I. I don't know. [00:13:50] Speaker D: I. [00:13:51] Kenny Thunder: Look, I think he's got a fragile eagle as well, but. [00:13:53] Speaker G: Eagle. [00:13:54] Kenny Thunder: He's got a fragile eagle, but he keeps winning games here, so everybody loves him now. He's a hero. I don't know. [00:14:00] Ronnie Jams: He's a hero. According to Fox News this. Today. This week, he's a hero, so. Hero. [00:14:05] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:14:05] Ronnie Jams: Go on. Another one. Another one. [00:14:08] Kenny Thunder: We got another one. [00:14:11] Speaker D: Good morning. [00:14:12] Ronnie Jams: This is Happy Bob from the Browns Backers of North Jersey with no voice, [00:14:18] Speaker G: just calling in. [00:14:20] Ronnie Jams: Great game yesterday. Always great to have a win. Always great. My hot take. We gotta cut down on the penalties. That's one of the big things. We really gotta cut down on the penalties. I think one of these days it's gonna come back to bite us, especially that one drive. We get to the 30 and we move back again. Get to the 30, move back again. So we just got to clean that [00:14:42] Speaker D: up a little bit. [00:14:44] Ronnie Jams: Also got to try to get that running game going. I thought for sure this week we'd really run the ball well, but didn't [00:14:53] Speaker G: really happen, but we got the win. [00:14:55] Kenny Thunder: Very happy. [00:14:58] Ronnie Jams: Also very happy with the special teams. Got to keep that going. So let's have another win this week against the Steelers and continue on. [00:15:09] Speaker G: Go Browns. [00:15:11] Kenny Thunder: That was the formerly angry Bobby. [00:15:13] Ronnie Jams: He's now Happy Bob. [00:15:14] The Bone Man: That was great. I was wondering who that was. [00:15:16] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Don't recognize him. He's not angry. [00:15:20] Kenny Thunder: I'm just like, who is this guy? I've never heard this guy before. [00:15:23] Ronnie Jams: I just love that. The Happy Bob's hot take is that we need to cut down on penalties. [00:15:30] The Bone Man: That's pretty bad, [00:15:32] Kenny Thunder: especially given that we talked so much about operations all off season long. There was the reason Deshaun Watson won the starting. And here we are. We still are. I think we've had double digit penalties every game this season so far. [00:15:45] Ronnie Jams: It seems familiar, like we did this last year or something. And then we. All we talked about was how we got to be accountable and get better. And we will get better. [00:15:53] Kenny Thunder: It's okay. DeSean Watson's winning games. Everybody loves him. He's a hero. [00:15:56] Ronnie Jams: He's a hero. Next call. [00:16:00] Speaker D: Hey, guys, it's Menachem from the Browns backers of North Jersey. How we doing, fellas? So glad that the hot take hotline is back. The voicemails are coming through. We had Matt from, from Nashville. [00:16:15] Ronnie Jams: I think it was Matt. [00:16:16] The Bone Man: I think that was his name. [00:16:17] Speaker D: He had a great call. Matt, keep calling, baby. We need more people. All right, Cliff. Cliff, if you're out there, we want to hear you. We want to know what's going on. I hope you're okay, brother. We love you guys. The crew from the Browns backers of the North Jersey. I know what's going on. I know I'm calling. I'm doing my part. I can't speak for others. Let's talk about the game, though. Oh, baby. Mason Graham, how sweet it is. It's so nice to get the pressure up the middle. And Jared Verse had some pressures, didn't get sacks yet, but he's getting the pressure pressures. Pressures lead to sacks and we'll be, we'll be there. The good news is that they're getting the pressure. And New Jersey's own Ronnie Hickman sealing the deal with the interception at the end of the game. What a. Oh, man. Two and one, two and one. Who would have funked it? I know you guys didn't. I think Angry Bobby might have, but you guys didn't. All right, I, I was hopeful. I'm cautiously optimistic. Typically my hot take hotline is we got to get more people to call the hot take hotline and let's have a great week. Short week. Go. We're playing the, we're playing Pitts puke the Squealers. Let's beat them. And we'll be 31 going into the jets game with the Browns backers of North Jersey. The 2025 Backers Club of the year is going to the game. We're tailgating, we're partying. We're going to be going nuts in the, in the, in the, by the tailgate area if especially if we're three and one. Oh, baby. Let's go. [00:18:06] Speaker F: All right. [00:18:07] Ronnie Jams: Monocum. There he is. [00:18:08] The Bone Man: Yeah. Nice. [00:18:09] Ronnie Jams: I like that. Monocam's hot take is to call the hot take hotline. Have a good week and promote the hot take hotline. Yeah. It was his other hot take. It got lost in the shuffle. [00:18:22] The Bone Man: We didn't think we were. That we were going to win this game. [00:18:24] Ronnie Jams: Oh, yeah. Listen here, Manakum calling us out. You act like we're the only ones that said the Browns were going to be shit this year. [00:18:32] Kenny Thunder: To be fair, Angry Happy Bob, didn't he project like a 10 win season? And then we laughed at him. And then Bone point immediately afterwards, Bone pointed out that we laughed in his face multiple times. [00:18:46] Ronnie Jams: Like we said relentlessly. This guy, 10 wins. Oh, my God. I stand by that. [00:18:54] Kenny Thunder: So I just want to read just a real quick snippet of like the AI recap of Monokam's message because it says it's so nice to get pressure up the middle. And Jared Verse has some pressures to get sex yet. He's getting the pictures and the pressures that lead to sex. And we will be getting there. The good news. So pressure leads to sex. [00:19:19] Ronnie Jams: I guess that was a hot take. Monochroma. [00:19:21] Kenny Thunder: Super hot take. [00:19:23] Ronnie Jams: Especially when Deshaun Watson's on your team. [00:19:25] Kenny Thunder: I was trying to put that down and I was like, why is it say sex so many times in Menakam's voicemail? [00:19:31] The Bone Man: So many sex. [00:19:32] Ronnie Jams: So much sex. [00:19:33] Kenny Thunder: So much sex, so much pressure. There was a lot of pressure in Menakum's voicemail. So we appreciate that. Another great call. It was great calls all around. Down man from Nashville, Angry Bob, Happy Bob Menakum. Good, good hotline today, boys. But like our good friend Menachem said, we want more. We want those hot takes. [00:19:48] Ronnie Jams: We want hot takes. [00:19:50] Kenny Thunder: We want hot takes. [00:19:51] Ronnie Jams: We want hot takes. [00:19:52] Kenny Thunder: 3302-2780-8133-0227-808-1330-222780-81330, 2381. [00:20:01] Ronnie Jams: We want your hot takes so we could talk about them like this. [00:20:03] Kenny Thunder: Spill them all over. Pressure of sex and hot takes. [00:20:07] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Speaking of hot takes, it's time for Dig it with the Macho Fan. [00:20:18] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:20:19] Ronnie Jams: Thursday Night Lights, prime time. [00:20:22] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:20:23] Ronnie Jams: We're gonna show the whole world what we're all about. That's right. [00:20:27] Kenny Thunder: And come on in, Steelers. [00:20:29] The Bone Man: Yeah. [00:20:30] Kenny Thunder: Welcome you to our show. Might be some nice hellos, but it's definitely gonna be some nasty goodbyes and [00:20:37] Ronnie Jams: we're gonna send you packing after we [00:20:38] Speaker G: get done with you on the field. [00:20:40] Speaker D: That's right. [00:20:41] Ronnie Jams: And I can't wait to show you [00:20:42] Kenny Thunder: the new meaning of why the Browns are the Browns new definition. And you're gonna know all about it at the very end. [00:20:50] Ronnie Jams: Oh, yeah. Let's call the Browns. My God, that man is macho. [00:21:03] Kenny Thunder: So macho. [00:21:05] Ronnie Jams: He's the machoist fan. [00:21:07] Kenny Thunder: So incredibly macho. [00:21:09] Ronnie Jams: I want to be a macho fan. [00:21:11] Kenny Thunder: You know, Macho has been the one consistent, like, voice of. Of just the voice of the fan, you know, all year long for us, we've been a little down on the Browns. Macho. Every week is like. [00:21:23] Ronnie Jams: It brings us in. [00:21:24] Kenny Thunder: We're gonna win, and we're gonna win big. He's like kind of like Donald Trump and macho fan. [00:21:29] Ronnie Jams: He's like. [00:21:30] Kenny Thunder: He's macho Trump. [00:21:31] Speaker F: Oh, yeah. [00:21:32] Ronnie Jams: The Browns going into Pittsburgh, even though we're big, this team is the best. It's simply the best team I've ever seen. [00:21:40] The Bone Man: You need optimism. [00:21:41] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, we love Macho. Yeah. Macho fan is the best. Before we get to the Browns, brief couple more things. Number one, the Burning sportscast dog of the week. [00:21:52] Kenny Thunder: Dog of the the week [00:21:55] Ronnie Jams: doesn't matter, man. [00:21:56] Speaker G: You gotta play tough people in the National Football League. [00:21:59] Kenny Thunder: You gotta be ready. [00:22:00] Ronnie Jams: And we gotta be the dogs that [00:22:01] Speaker G: we are every time we step on there on Sunday and be ready to [00:22:05] Ronnie Jams: attack and don't stop until we're in that locker room. [00:22:11] Speaker C: All right? [00:22:11] Ronnie Jams: We leave it up to our listeners and followers to determine the Burning river sportscast dog of the week. Each week on our live shows on Sunday night, we each nominate a dog of the week candidate. [00:22:20] Kenny Thunder: It. [00:22:20] Ronnie Jams: From there, we turn it over to all of you on our socials to vote and make the final decision. This week's nominees, Kenny, Dakota Fanning. Yeah, you. You used to love Dakota Fanning. [00:22:31] The Bone Man: Ah, she was really good at Equalizer 3. [00:22:34] Ronnie Jams: Bone did. [00:22:34] Kenny Thunder: Bone knows every Denzel movie, Harold Fannin Jr. [00:22:39] Ronnie Jams: Bone, Ronnie Hickman, and I had Mason Graham. After the fan vote that was conducted today on our socials, this week's Burning river sportscast dog of the week is Mason Graham. Oh, yeah, Noel. [00:22:54] Kenny Thunder: Mason Jar. [00:22:55] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, Mason Graham. Seven total tackles, four solo tackles, two sacks, three tackles for loss, and two quarterback hits. Or as Menachem calls them, two. Sex. [00:23:06] The Bone Man: What a game. [00:23:07] Kenny Thunder: Sex. [00:23:08] The Bone Man: What a game for two quarterbacks. [00:23:10] Ronnie Jams: He is now on pace for, like, potentially breaking the record. [00:23:14] Kenny Thunder: He's on pace for at least 18. [00:23:16] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, at least. I mean, if he gets a second one every Third game one. Every game you're at, like, [00:23:24] Kenny Thunder: Mason Graham is the next Aaron Donald. [00:23:27] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, he's definitely gonna get like, 22, [00:23:29] Kenny Thunder: but better because he plays in Cleveland. [00:23:31] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, Yeah, I like that. [00:23:32] Kenny Thunder: Dude has been an absolute animal. [00:23:34] Ronnie Jams: When you look at him next to. Never mind. Gone. [00:23:38] Kenny Thunder: Dude has been an absolute animal thus far in 2026. I, you know, we've talked. We've. We've. We have dismissed Andrew Barry a number of times on this show. This draft pick is certainly helping his case. And when you look back at Even the top 15, 20 draft picks in that draft class, Mason Graham right now is looking like a really smart pick. [00:24:03] The Bone Man: Yeah. [00:24:04] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, he's looking good. [00:24:05] The Bone Man: Not to mention the other first round pick we gained from that draft. [00:24:09] Speaker G: True. Yeah. [00:24:11] Ronnie Jams: So, yeah. So Mason Graham, his first dog of the week of 2026. Hopefully we see a lot more because Denzel Boston got the first two. [00:24:21] Kenny Thunder: So Mason Jar Graham. [00:24:23] Ronnie Jams: I don't think his middle name is Jar. I'm not gonna lie to you. [00:24:25] Kenny Thunder: It is now. [00:24:26] Ronnie Jams: Okay, well, and the last thing before we get to the Browns brief. It's time to enter the bone zone. [00:24:41] Kenny Thunder: Oh, boy. This is so exciting. This is our newest sub segment of the segment of the. Of the sub segments. [00:24:46] Ronnie Jams: We know everybody loves our segments, so it's time, like we said, it's time to enter the bone zone. Y' all heard me and Kenny's thoughts on Sunday night after the game, But Bone decided that he no longer wanted to be part of our live Sunday editions, our Sunday recap. So we told him he has to recap the game right. On a regular episode. So this is the time for Bone to give his thoughts and talk about what he saw in the game. [00:25:08] Kenny Thunder: Bone, the show did not have enough sounders. [00:25:10] The Bone Man: No, I'm awake at this time, so I can speak. [00:25:13] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. What'd you see? What stuck out to you in this game? [00:25:17] The Bone Man: First of all, I got to enjoy this game. I feel like, obviously the first game was not enjoyable. Second game, I was like, I don't know how to feel. Are we going to win? I don't like desean. He's playing okay to win the game. Our defense looks fantastic, and most importantly, our defense looked fantastic. Again, we already talked about Mason Graham. That's just fun to watch right there. Just seeing what our defense can do on a week in and week out basis now. But overall, I'm still like, DeSean was okay. He had 67 yards going into the fourth quarter. [00:25:53] Ronnie Jams: That's a lot. [00:25:54] The Bone Man: He performed when he had to perform. Desean out of the pocket looked pretty good with his feet and making plays on the run. I can't deny that he didn't turn the ball over. I think there was a few opportunities for the defense to intercept his passes. I can count. I can think of two, at least three. [00:26:12] Ronnie Jams: He turned the ball over once, but they gave him a second chance. Yeah, true. [00:26:15] The Bone Man: Yeah. Yeah. With the. With the. What was that? [00:26:18] Ronnie Jams: Which it wasn't. It didn't end up being a turnover. So it wasn't a turnover, but. [00:26:22] The Bone Man: So it's like I. I enjoyed this game more so than I did week two. Like, at the end of the game, I was. Was jumping kind of like, out of my seat. Like, yes. Like, defense made a play. Like, I was excited again, which I liked because I like to win. After that first week, I was kind of like, I'm okay with tanking because this team looks like trash, but credit to Todd Monkin, like, he's got the team back. So it's exciting football, I guess. But I'm still optimistic. How do you. [00:26:51] Ronnie Jams: Cautiously optimistic. [00:26:52] The Bone Man: Cautiously optimistic. Because I was talking to you guys earlier and I brought up the point. Like, our defense looks really good. We won games with PJ Walker a couple years ago with a great defense. And if you guys remember that year, we won games with, like, four or five different quarterbacks. And then Joe. Joe Flacco came in and just took the season over. And we had probably the funnest Brown season in our lifetime. [00:27:14] Ronnie Jams: That was the best. The. The legend of Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco. [00:27:18] The Bone Man: So it's like, before we ruined him. [00:27:20] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [00:27:20] The Bone Man: And those in those games that we squeaked out that year were nail biters, where you're just like, how did we win that game? But it's like, our defense won the games for us, and our team did just enough to win it. So I don't know what happens moving forward. I'm somewhat excited about the season. [00:27:36] Ronnie Jams: So you're telling us you don't know what this means, but you're excited? [00:27:40] The Bone Man: Yeah, I'm back because I was really down. I was really down after that first week. I don't think I've ever seen a Browns game so terrible. [00:27:46] Kenny Thunder: Bone is back. Bone back. [00:27:49] Ronnie Jams: He's John Wick over there. He's like, people have been. [00:27:51] The Bone Man: I can't. Like, back. [00:27:52] Speaker C: I can't. [00:27:52] Kenny Thunder: I'm thinking I'm backing on back. [00:27:55] The Bone Man: I can't forget what DeSean has brought to this team the last four years, and it's been nothing. So it. I don't know. I. It's Been two games and he's been okay. [00:28:03] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, I think you heard it here first. Bone says DeShawn's a hero. [00:28:06] Ronnie Jams: He's a hero. [00:28:07] The Bone Man: Yeah. [00:28:08] Kenny Thunder: Extend him. [00:28:08] Ronnie Jams: Extend him. People keep asking if I'm back, and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm Dick and I'm back. You shouldn't be talking about extending Deshaun Watson. That's where we got in trouble in the first place. Speaking. I just mentioned John Wick. We don't talk about that movie enough on this show. You guys. You guys seen John Wick? [00:28:31] The Bone Man: Yeah, it's good. [00:28:32] Kenny Thunder: I. I haven't seen the latest version. I think I've seen, like, the first [00:28:37] Ronnie Jams: three or four just incredible action sequences. [00:28:41] Kenny Thunder: So I get caught up on the. The Anthology. [00:28:44] Ronnie Jams: I was just curious because that's. That's underrated line. [00:28:48] Kenny Thunder: But that is an underrated line. I'm. Get on back. Yeah, that is. Actually. [00:28:52] Ronnie Jams: I just love Keanu Reeves. He's such a great actor. Anyways, sorry, I got. I got excited there first. [00:28:59] Kenny Thunder: So you heard it here first. Keanu Reeves, hero. [00:29:02] Speaker D: Really? [00:29:03] Kenny Thunder: Him and Deshawn, hero. Keanu Reeves, hero. Nick Cage, hero. John Goodman, hero. [00:29:10] Ronnie Jams: Oh, greatest American actor of all time. [00:29:12] The Bone Man: I didn't. I didn't even mention, like, our offensive. Our offensive guys, which you guys probably talked about. But, like, like, we can get excited about Denzel Boston and Fannin and Deshaun [00:29:23] Ronnie Jams: threw for 144 yards. There wasn't a lot of offense this one. [00:29:25] The Bone Man: Well, I'm just saying. But those guys, they look like the real deal, so that's exciting going forward just with that young core. So who knows? I don't think DeSean's on the team next year, which is kind of just another thing in the back of your head as you go throughout this season. Like, you just know this guy's not a part of the team. And we'll probably get into that later if he will be or not, but I don't think he will be. [00:29:46] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:29:47] The Bone Man: So it's just like, yeah, we're winning and we're Browns fans, and I like to win. And who doesn't? And so what I said on Sunday [00:29:55] Kenny Thunder: night, Bone, was that it's just really a shame because if there was. If it was anybody else, literally any other human on the planet, right, we would be ecstatic. [00:30:04] Speaker F: Over the moon. [00:30:05] Kenny Thunder: Over the moon. Overjoyed. Like any. All the superlatives, we would be so excited. There's so many cool, fun, interesting things about this football team. It's just that lingering Question of what is happening at quarterback. Is there a little bit of a wet blanket on the whole thing? [00:30:21] The Bone Man: That's exactly right. [00:30:23] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. And so just real quick, back to John Wick. Funny story about John Wick. [00:30:28] Kenny Thunder: Keanu Reeves, hero. [00:30:30] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. My wife to this day is mad at me because the first time we watched John Wick, she's like. She's like, is this a good movie? I was like, yeah, you're gonna love it. And she was so mad that I didn't tell her that they killed his dog. [00:30:41] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:30:42] Ronnie Jams: I think we're far enough past that. That's not that much of a spoiler any anymore. [00:30:45] Kenny Thunder: But if you've never seen John Wick, you have now. [00:30:48] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. So. But she was so mad at me. [00:30:50] Speaker D: She's. [00:30:51] Ronnie Jams: She still is. So sorry. [00:30:53] Kenny Thunder: I mean, that's pretty important to the whole. [00:30:56] Ronnie Jams: Well, that's. I can't tell you this happens because then that's like, yeah, yeah. [00:31:00] Kenny Thunder: He wouldn't be John Wick. [00:31:02] Ronnie Jams: Like, it shouldn't. It shouldn't. Like, part of me is like, no, now it's a badass movie. Because he's like, it's time for revenge. [00:31:11] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:31:11] Kenny Thunder: Avenging his dog. [00:31:12] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:31:13] Ronnie Jams: But anyways, with that, let's go ahead and get into the Brownsburg brief. We've talked about him a lot already. He was dog of the week. Bone loves him. He's not quite the hero that desean is, but, you know, he will suffice. Mason Graham, one in our hearts. Yeah. Mason Graham has the most sacks in the AFC north north and second most in the NFL. Not on that list. Miles Garrett. [00:31:46] Kenny Thunder: He would not be because he's been injured. [00:31:48] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. But no, this guy plays defensive tackle and also true. And through three games, he le. He's second in the NFL in sacks, so pretty incredible. [00:31:57] Kenny Thunder: Been very fun to watch. Mason Jar. [00:32:02] Ronnie Jams: Mason Jar Graham [00:32:05] Kenny Thunder: Reeves, hero. [00:32:06] Ronnie Jams: So that was the good news. The bad news is Titus Howard leads the NFL and false start penalties. He's got five. Now, listen, listen, I'm gonna defend him a little bit because I, I, I mentioned it in our show Sunday. I was at the stadium, and one of. At least. How many did he have? [00:32:22] Kenny Thunder: Are you blaming the fans? [00:32:24] Ronnie Jams: No, no. Did he have two in this game and they were, like, right next to each other, right? [00:32:28] Kenny Thunder: I think so. [00:32:29] The Bone Man: I think so. [00:32:29] Ronnie Jams: The first one, absolutely not. A false start. Like, we're, we're all watching and, and I, I'm pretty tuned into the game when I'm there, and I, I taking the whole field and trying to see everything, you know, how it is like [00:32:42] Kenny Thunder: when you're watching the game, burped or farted or something. [00:32:45] Ronnie Jams: No, I. When I tell you they literally showed the replay from the time the ref moved out of the way to the time when they threw the penalty flag and he didn't move at all. I was like, I don't understand. [00:32:58] Kenny Thunder: It looks like a duck, smells like a duck, quacks like a duck. It's offsides. [00:33:03] Ronnie Jams: I guess so, but. So he should only have four, which still probably puts him in the lead in the NFL. [00:33:08] Kenny Thunder: That would be, I think, tied for first still. [00:33:10] Ronnie Jams: So, yeah, in my book, he's only got four. [00:33:14] Kenny Thunder: He came from Houston, right? [00:33:15] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [00:33:16] Kenny Thunder: They just could not run fast enough from that guy. And we were like, yeah, sounds like a good plan. [00:33:21] Ronnie Jams: We'll sign him for multiple years. [00:33:22] Kenny Thunder: We'll put him. We'll put him next to that other guy from Houston, and it's going to be great. Heroes all around. [00:33:28] Ronnie Jams: Heroes extend them. Next up here, Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Tyrese Proctor and Thomas Bryant all came out to watch Josh Crib Son and Israel Izzy. Major Cribs and Hoban take on Walsh Jesuit. [00:33:46] Kenny Thunder: Major Cribs was Cribs there. [00:33:48] Ronnie Jams: Grips was there as well. I just thought. [00:33:49] The Bone Man: I figured. I just. [00:33:51] Ronnie Jams: I just thought that was a given. [00:33:52] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, his dad didn't go with all his Brown's friends did. [00:33:55] Ronnie Jams: No, Casey. This all started because Casey Concepcion actually tweeted out and he said. He said, I'm trying to watch. I want to see what Ohio high school football is all about. Who should I go watch this weekend? [00:34:04] The Bone Man: Oh, that's cool. [00:34:05] Ronnie Jams: And so everybody started flooding his. His X account with like, like, you know, you should go here. You should go to this game. You should go to this game. And then Donovan Mitchell's like, oh, I'd like to join too. Denzel Boston, I'd like to join. All these guys started saying they wanted to go. And then Josh Cribs, of course, was like, you guys do know my son plays football and he's a dog. [00:34:23] The Bone Man: So where did they drive an hour south to ac? [00:34:26] Kenny Thunder: Where did they see Hoban? [00:34:28] Ronnie Jams: They were on the sidelines. They were on the side. They were like in, like down at the end of Hoban sideline, close to the end zone. [00:34:36] Kenny Thunder: I think some of these schools do have suites now. I think I was just talking to somebody from like, Avon and they're like a couple grand. [00:34:41] Ronnie Jams: A couple of the, like, the newer stadiums for the big time, like Division 1 schools or even just the big name schools in the state. Like when they do new stadiums, they, they're legit stadiums. [00:34:51] Kenny Thunder: Big, big money for the booster club. [00:34:53] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, But Hoban won 30 to nothing. They picked the wrong game to go to. Cause this was not exciting. [00:34:59] Kenny Thunder: Well, that happens sometimes. [00:35:02] The Bone Man: Yeah. Walsh, I believe. I don't know if Walsh had lost a game yet this year. [00:35:06] Ronnie Jams: I don't think they were in there. They were ranked in like the top five, I think in their division, so. But now they lost 30 to nothing. [00:35:14] Kenny Thunder: Oban. It's pretty good. [00:35:16] Ronnie Jams: Opens a real deal. [00:35:17] Kenny Thunder: They got nice facilities. [00:35:19] Ronnie Jams: Maybe a major Cribs will go to Kent State and break off, break all of Josh Cribs records. Yeah, that'd be dope. [00:35:25] Kenny Thunder: They'll have to break Julian, Julian Edelman's first. [00:35:30] Ronnie Jams: That's true. But anyways, light on news this week. So we're gonna, we're gonna talk to Bone about the Sean Watson light on news. [00:35:37] Kenny Thunder: What do you mean? We have the biggest news. Watson is a hero. He's a, he's been welcomed back with open arms. [00:35:42] The Bone Man: A Northeastern all is for Ohio treasure. [00:35:47] Ronnie Jams: And this is kind of all. This is what I'm talking about right is, is we won a couple games, everybody's happy, which they should be. Enjoy the wins. I like when the Browns win too, but I just, I like when the Browns win too, but I, I seriously, you know, we haven't, we talked a little bit about it last week. Boom zone. But now that there's two games in. You kind of alluded to it in your Bone zone segment when you talked about like, I feel even better after this one. [00:36:11] The Bone Man: Yeah. [00:36:12] Ronnie Jams: Versus the first one. You're kind of conflicted. [00:36:14] Speaker F: Whatever. [00:36:15] Ronnie Jams: I mean, what, what are your thoughts here? Do you think that what does this do to the Browns long term? I guess is the question. [00:36:25] The Bone Man: I, I don't know. I guess I've heard, I've heard a few opinions on it. I was, I was kind of on board with tanking honestly getting a quarterback. [00:36:32] Ronnie Jams: I was like, the more I think about it, I'm back to that and [00:36:34] The Bone Man: you know, some people would call me a bad blah, blah, blah, like I don't care. Like if we end up getting the quarterback of the future and we're good for the next 10 years, nobody's going to remember this year. But now we got this situation going on. So we have desean doing enough to win some games for us. After that first game, all facets of our offense, defense, special teams, everything looked terrible. Looked like the entire team had given up on the season. I thought the team, I thought the locker room was gone. You know, I didn't know what was going on after that first game, but. But apparently Todd Monkin works some magic and the team's playing hard. [00:37:08] Kenny Thunder: Todd Monken. Hero. [00:37:10] The Bone Man: Yeah, hero. [00:37:11] Kenny Thunder: So many heroes this week. [00:37:12] The Bone Man: Which I've said. Credit to him, I guess. You know, getting the team back on track and especially our defense. So I'm. I don't know. I'm back on board. But I still don't forget what desean put us through the last four years. [00:37:30] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:37:32] Kenny Thunder: Can I launch an unfounded, irresponsible, yes. Theory. [00:37:38] Speaker G: Sure. [00:37:41] Kenny Thunder: So, you know, this whole. This whole. [00:37:43] Ronnie Jams: These are my favorite kind of theories. [00:37:45] Kenny Thunder: This whole thing with DeShawn. [00:37:46] Speaker D: Right. [00:37:47] Kenny Thunder: I. I could see this being born out of just the absolute pettiness of Jimmy Haslam. Right. Like I paid you all this money and you've embarrassed this franchise. You will earn that paycheck. And especially as we headed closer to the season and started hearing more about how the plan was to run all this RPO heavy offense. [00:38:07] The Bone Man: Yeah. [00:38:07] Kenny Thunder: And I'm thinking I have a quarterback who's 30, 31 years old coming off of back to back Achilles tears. Sounds like a great way to ruin him physically is to let him run the ball as much as possible. But just as everything that happens in Cleveland is just utter futility and failure, even this scheme has now come back to bite Jimmy Haslamir right in the ass. Because that's the point. Watson is playing well enough to win football games. [00:38:38] Ronnie Jams: That what it's been this whole time. We should have planned to lose. [00:38:40] The Bone Man: That's. [00:38:41] Kenny Thunder: I will win. [00:38:42] The Bone Man: I thought that's what was happening. I thought they were literally trying to play to lose. That's why we were playing desean at the beginning of the year. And it like you, like after the first game, I was like, all right, it's working. [00:38:52] Ronnie Jams: You know what? You know what? Kind of along those same lines of your theory, kind of what I'm. I'm starting to develop in my head is this whole scenario where everything you're saying is true. And then Todd Monken came in here. We've talked about it. Like he was. To me, he was the placeholder coach. He was like, none of our guys wanted to be here, but we do need a coach going into next year. So we're going to hire this guy. He'll be one and done. And then we'll get our real coach next year when we have top draft pick, whatever quarterback you want, solid defense, all those good things. But I think Todd Monkey came in is like, fuck that to use his own. [00:39:27] The Bone Man: He's been pretty real. [00:39:28] Ronnie Jams: And he's like, I'm a good coach. I'm going to come in. And I'm not. Again, I'm not fully on the. Like, I love Todd Monkin yet, but, like, maybe Todd Monken. [00:39:35] Kenny Thunder: Hero, hero. [00:39:37] Ronnie Jams: But maybe he's legitimately, like. Like, no, like, this is not happening. I'll show you guys what we can do with this team. [00:39:43] Kenny Thunder: I mean, I can kind of reinforce that. Right. I think you had mentioned leading up to the season, at one point you were interested in seeing what Deshaun Watson could do with someone other than Kevin Stefanski. [00:39:58] The Bone Man: That's true. [00:39:59] Kenny Thunder: This offense doesn't look all that much different than Kevin Stefanski's offense in terms of. At least schematically, they're not. I mean, the. The. The plan seems to be very much the same plan as it was when Dylan Gabriel was in the game. Even Shador Sanders a little bit. I think Shador took chances last year and probably called his own number a few times. But. But the offense, it was with Joe Flacco, like, the offense doesn't look a whole lot different from a scheme standpoint, but DeSean has been able to execute in that. It hasn't been anything crazy or unusual or even like a lot of misdirection. It's been, you know, a lot of timing, a lot of short passes, extensions of the run, stuff that was high completion percentage, stuff that gets the ball to playmakers in space and lets them operate. [00:40:46] Ronnie Jams: I think it's the biggest thing is we just are in much better position when we need to make a play and we need to get a certain amount of yards. [00:40:51] The Bone Man: Yards. [00:40:53] Ronnie Jams: We've been begging for this for years. Is like, if you. If it's third and six, why are we running four yards? Yeah, we have. [00:40:59] The Bone Man: We have real playmakers. [00:41:00] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Yeah. So I. Yeah, I mean, so a [00:41:03] Kenny Thunder: combination of better talent around him and maybe more thoughtful scheme, even though it's a similar. A similar idea of an offense. [00:41:09] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [00:41:10] Kenny Thunder: Maybe his is put. [00:41:12] Ronnie Jams: I mean, I'm not gonna say I'm a fucking genius. [00:41:14] Kenny Thunder: Maybe it's put desean in a situation where he has now become a hero. Hero. [00:41:18] Ronnie Jams: Hero. [00:41:18] The Bone Man: Hero. [00:41:19] Ronnie Jams: The entire team is here. [00:41:20] Kenny Thunder: Zero to hero. [00:41:21] Ronnie Jams: Zero to hero. [00:41:24] Kenny Thunder: Sorry, I just. I look, I look. And we're joking about it now. And it's. It's, you know, vibes are good. Everybody loves winning. All those things are good. The reckoning is coming with the conversation of, what are you going to do with this, man? What are you going because six months ago, 12 months ago, it was unthinkable that this man was going to put on a jersey and wear a Cleveland Browns helmet again. And then the press conference happened, and every commentator in America snapped. Snapped and said, he can't even be on the team. And then we said, you know what? We're gonna make him our starter. And now he's winning games for you. So if he's the best quarterback in your room and he's winning games, hell, let's get crazy. This team wins 8, 9, 10 games this year, they push for the playoffs or make the playoffs. Are you going to start over next year with a new quarterback? Which, if you win 10 games, you're not picking in the top 10. So what are you getting? You going to go, you're going to trade for somebody else that's out there? A J.J. mcCarthy, something like that that's available? [00:42:22] Speaker F: Right? [00:42:22] Kenny Thunder: Like, somebody has to be willing to part with them? Or do you go, hey, we have a quarterback on our roster that won 10 games last year. I think we need to ready ourselves for this conversation. It's coming. The desean Watson extension is coming. [00:42:35] Ronnie Jams: Look, Bone said it. Best Super Bowl. Super Watson hero. Hero. Yeah. I mean, I don't like any of those conversations, but we're going to have them. They're coming. As you were saying that, I just thought to myself, I'm like, you know, it's just wild how just fickle everybody is because we've won two games. It's like. It's like the Browns won the super bowl for real. Like, we won two games, and we're like, extend him. He's a hero. [00:43:06] Kenny Thunder: I mean, there's literally being stories written right now by real journalists getting paid real money that are like, this is DeShawn's redemption arc. [00:43:15] Ronnie Jams: It was Fox News. [00:43:16] Speaker F: I don't. [00:43:17] Ronnie Jams: I don't know who the actual journalist was, but it was Fox News ran the store, two different stories. One of them said, Cleveland now thinks of him as a hero after a comeback win. And the other one was, he's crafting one of the most unbelievable comeback stories of all time. [00:43:35] Kenny Thunder: It's so unbelievable. 140 yards at a time. [00:43:38] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [00:43:38] The Bone Man: I want to say, like, you're crazy for saying that. Like, we would resign him, because I just. Just don't believe it. But like you said six months ago, I would have told you there's no chance in hell desean Watson is playing quarterback for this team after what Jimmy has them threw him under the rug finally and said, we. We swung and we missed. [00:43:55] Ronnie Jams: Well, but then we got a second at bat. [00:43:57] The Bone Man: How do you put that guy back out there? And they did. Now he's winning games, and they PR the hell out of it. [00:44:03] Ronnie Jams: Do you know how it happened? He turned over all operations to J.W. johnson, and he said, that's my guy. [00:44:09] The Bone Man: Yeah, they love each other. [00:44:10] Speaker D: Other. [00:44:10] Ronnie Jams: They do his clear T shirt and everything. You guys saw that. Okay. [00:44:17] Kenny Thunder: And nipples out. [00:44:18] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Nips out. Give me a hug, brother. [00:44:23] Kenny Thunder: Nips and nip action. [00:44:27] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, they got a weird bromance going, but it's okay. [00:44:30] Kenny Thunder: Who doesn't want to hug their heroes? [00:44:32] Ronnie Jams: Hero. [00:44:33] Kenny Thunder: Hero. [00:44:33] Ronnie Jams: Hero. [00:44:33] Speaker G: J.W. [00:44:34] Kenny Thunder: johnson. Hero. [00:44:36] Ronnie Jams: I don't think that sentence is ever coming out of my mouth, but I just. I did just say Deshaun Watson was a hero, so, you know, J.W. johnson, hero. [00:44:44] Kenny Thunder: I just, again, like, I. Deshawn won the game, so I'm not. I. I don't. I don't like to get into the argument of, like, he played well, but. Because if you win the game, you played well enough to win. But he put the ball in defender's hands three times. Once was a pick, but it got called back. So if you also have 140 yards, two touchdowns, and three picks, no, nobody is like, that's a good game. But the stats are the stats, and they weren't picks. So it is what it is. He won the game. [00:45:12] Ronnie Jams: And again, I just. I just need to point out he's here now. I just need to point out that he's definitely not a hero in Cleveland, despite what the national media wants you to think. Because I was at the game, it was a mixture of booze and cheers. And when he came out and Shador came in the loudest I might have ever heard that stage. And I think that's simply because Shador Sanders, whether you love him or hate him, he's a guy that you should be able to root for as a Cleveland fan, opposed to the guy that's in there now that you just feel weird rooting for. [00:45:52] The Bone Man: Imagine, I mean, you guys kind of already alluded to, but the pandemonium that Cleveland would be feeling right now fit with Shador. And we were. [00:46:00] Ronnie Jams: This feeling would be. Would be amplified by, like, 4:40. [00:46:03] Kenny Thunder: We'd be really talking about super bowl, like, legitimately, literally. We'd be like, we're going to the Super Bowl. [00:46:08] The Bone Man: Yeah. Like, with the defense and then all our playmakers. [00:46:11] Kenny Thunder: Every reason why this team could go on an improbable run. [00:46:14] Ronnie Jams: But I'm sure all the Shador hand Sanders Haters out there are probably saying, yeah, but we're not, because you can't do that. So. But yeah, I don't. I don't know. [00:46:24] Kenny Thunder: Anyways, I would say just on the Shador thing, I mean, as. As much as, like, I'll give credit where credit's due. Desean's come in now the last two weeks and taken care of business. Put his head down and just done his job. And they games good for him. I do think, you know, on the same token, like, I think Shador has handled himself very well. [00:46:42] The Bone Man: Yes. [00:46:42] Kenny Thunder: Through all this, which really, since from the time he's got to Cleveland, I thought he handled himself pretty well, but with so much made about, oh, the distractions and prime and he's entitled in an Instagram star and all this stuff, like, he's done nothing but be supportive of teammates, been supportive of DeShawn and just played his part in this whole thing. So I do. I. I like, like, genuinely like the guy, the kid. I think he's kind of future in this league. I don't know what his ceiling is, but I think as much as I now respect Deshaun and he's a hero, I have an equal level of respect growing for Shador Sanders just in the way that he's been professional about this whole thing. Because it's got to suck. It's got to suck knowing, like, hey, like, you were. You were talked about a lot in college. Maybe you weren't the top college quarterback, but you. There were some expectations of. Of what my career was going to be, the NFL. And it's been put on pause now. Kind of in depth, definitely. And he just seems to be taking it in stride, so. [00:47:40] Speaker F: Good. [00:47:41] Kenny Thunder: Good for him. Whatever that's worth. But at the end of the day, Deshaun Watson's a hero. [00:47:45] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Also, last thing, I like how he came out after the game and they asked him about the. The fans reactions when they won, and he's like, I love it. I love Cleveland. Really? [00:47:57] Kenny Thunder: Because three weeks. [00:47:58] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:47:59] Ronnie Jams: Three weeks ago, you basically told us that you hate us. So you were playing 17 away games. [00:48:03] Kenny Thunder: We don't. We don't care. Now we. We're just like, win games. [00:48:06] Speaker F: No. [00:48:07] Ronnie Jams: Anyways, let's go ahead and get into the division roundup. [00:48:19] Speaker F: All right. [00:48:20] Ronnie Jams: Division roundup, guys. We didn't do well again. [00:48:24] The Bone Man: No. [00:48:25] Kenny Thunder: Been hard. [00:48:26] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. All right, so first off, Cincinnati beat the Steelers 30 to 27. We were all wrong in this one. Steelers not very good, but somehow they beat Cincinnati. I. I finally said I'm. I Learned my lesson. I'm not going to pick against Cincinnati. [00:48:41] The Bone Man: I'm. [00:48:41] Kenny Thunder: I'm confused. Did the Steelers beat the Cincinnati or did Cincinnati beat the Steelers? [00:48:46] Ronnie Jams: Wait, I wrote it wrong. The Steelers beat Cincinnati. The Steelers beat Cincinnati 30 to 27. But. But my point still stands. I finally. I said last week, I said, I learned my lesson. I'm not picking against Cincinnati. Cincinnati. And then they lost. Then they lost, then they lost. So, yeah, I mean, the Steelers looked [00:49:04] Kenny Thunder: really bad, but somehow they're two and one. Yeah, I mean, they had an offensive explosion this week. [00:49:10] Ronnie Jams: It's a really confusing season so far. It is confusing, but we were all wrong there. Next up, Baltimore beat the Cowboys 34, 31. We were all right there, but it was really close. They almost lost. [00:49:22] Kenny Thunder: That was really close. So close. Came down to literally the last seven seconds of the game. [00:49:28] Ronnie Jams: And then finally, Cleveland beat the Panthers 21:18. And we were all wrong in that one, too, so. [00:49:32] Kenny Thunder: We were so wrong, none of us could even imagine a scenario in which the Browns won. [00:49:37] Ronnie Jams: No, I think we all had them losing by, like, 25. [00:49:39] Kenny Thunder: By. Yeah. Well over double digits. [00:49:41] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:49:41] Ronnie Jams: So obviously nobody picked the correct score again this week. So for the AFC north standings are. Everyone's tied at 2 and 1. [00:49:48] Kenny Thunder: Everyone's in first, and everyone's in last. [00:49:50] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Feels bad and good. [00:49:53] Kenny Thunder: Hero. [00:49:54] Ronnie Jams: Current king of the north standings. Bone and Kenny tied on top at six and five, and I'm one game behind you guys. [00:50:01] Speaker G: Oh, yeah. [00:50:02] Ronnie Jams: Five and six. Are you feeling good right now, Kenny? [00:50:04] Kenny Thunder: I'm on top of the. [00:50:05] Ronnie Jams: This is like the longest you've gone in a season. [00:50:09] The Bone Man: And the only inspiration I can find [00:50:14] Kenny Thunder: is Ronnie in last place. [00:50:16] Ronnie Jams: That's not the song we're singing out of the show, just so you know, because I have another one. [00:50:21] Speaker D: But. [00:50:21] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, so I'm coming. And you're going to lose. You're going to. You're going to get punished with that. Let's take a quick trip around the NFL. Okay, so we just talked about how it's been a confusing NFL season. Well, the Las Vegas Raiders are undefeated right now. [00:50:48] Kenny Thunder: I didn't even know there's a football team in Vegas. [00:50:51] Ronnie Jams: Yes. And they're undefeated. [00:50:54] Kenny Thunder: The Gamblers. [00:50:54] Ronnie Jams: Is that good? Kirk Cousins and his boys. [00:50:58] Kenny Thunder: You like that? [00:50:59] Ronnie Jams: You like that, Kirk? And speaking of Kirk Cousins, first quarterback over 38 to have three passing touchdowns in his team's first three games of a season. [00:51:07] Kenny Thunder: Kirko Chains. [00:51:08] Ronnie Jams: He just. All he does is win, win, win, no matter what, you know? [00:51:14] Kenny Thunder: Yeah. I mean, you know, there's another One that's heroes. Fernando Mendoza. Prob. Like, you know, sitting there waiting, like thinking he was going to play. And here comes Kirk Cousins just blowing things up, dog becoming a hero. [00:51:29] The Bone Man: Dude wins everywhere. [00:51:31] Ronnie Jams: He does win everywhere. Look, he's always good enough to get to the playoffs, but not good enough to win a Super Bowl. [00:51:35] Kenny Thunder: So he's always good enough to get a starting job somewhere. Yeah, that's a great contract. [00:51:39] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, he's contract. Nobody's better at getting. [00:51:41] Kenny Thunder: Nobody's getting better. [00:51:43] Ronnie Jams: His. His agent is the best in the game. [00:51:45] Kenny Thunder: Absolute best. [00:51:46] Ronnie Jams: Next up here, Devon Arshane. Torn acl out for the year. [00:51:51] The Bone Man: That feels bad. [00:51:52] Kenny Thunder: He done? Yeah, he's having a good year up until then. [00:51:54] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Well, now he's not. [00:51:55] Kenny Thunder: No, he's not. [00:51:56] Ronnie Jams: He's having a really bad year. [00:51:57] Kenny Thunder: He's having a real bad year. [00:51:58] The Bone Man: I should have done some tendon work. [00:51:59] Kenny Thunder: A real bad time. [00:52:01] Ronnie Jams: He probably was hanging out next to the substations. [00:52:02] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, he was stretching next to it. [00:52:06] Ronnie Jams: Baker Mayfield hero, out three to four weeks with a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand. [00:52:12] Kenny Thunder: Did you see this? [00:52:13] Ronnie Jams: It wasn't good. [00:52:13] Kenny Thunder: He was in quite a lot of pain, writhing, screaming. And Todd Bowles was smoking, smirking. [00:52:20] The Bone Man: Did you guys catch this? [00:52:21] Ronnie Jams: No, I didn't. [00:52:21] Kenny Thunder: This clip's gone pretty viral. [00:52:23] The Bone Man: I have to look that up of [00:52:24] Kenny Thunder: him kind of like laughing under his bread like, I don't know if somebody told him a joke in his headset or what, but like it's a kind of a perfect time for it because Baker is literally writhing on the ground. [00:52:32] The Bone Man: I feel like they're boys though, right? They. They get chummy. [00:52:35] Kenny Thunder: I thought they're a little chummy. Todd bowl's Hero Hero. [00:52:41] Ronnie Jams: J.J. mcCarthy to the Giants for a 2027 fifth row round pick. [00:52:45] Kenny Thunder: You know, I do want to say something about this because last week after the injury, there was some speculation, some level of speculation about maybe the Browns would send Shador to New York. And I heard a lot of people, they were like, that's crazy talk. Would you think the New York Giants and Harbaugh are going to go after Shador [00:53:08] Ronnie Jams: McCarthy who's just straight ass? [00:53:10] Speaker G: Let's. [00:53:10] Kenny Thunder: Like he's any better than Shador. Like, I'm not saying Shador is good. I don't know what Shador is going to be in this league, but I can tell you. J.J. mcCar. I can't even say his name. He's not a hero. He's ass. Straight ass. [00:53:21] Ronnie Jams: He's bad. [00:53:22] Kenny Thunder: He was bad in college. I don't Know how he got himself into the NFL? [00:53:26] Ronnie Jams: Hero, hero, hero. What is this episode? Next up here. Travis Hunter got his first career interception. This led to a confrontation with the ball boy who wouldn't give up the ball, give it back. [00:53:39] Kenny Thunder: He was assaulted. [00:53:40] Ronnie Jams: Jaguars defensive end Josh Hines Allen, the other Josh Allen tried to get the ball from the ball boy. Ball boy said, hey, you can't touch me. He tried to, like, push him and push him away, and it got. There's like a shoving match. And then Hines Allen proceeded to try and knock the ball out of his hands before an equipment manager stepped in and handled it. I just like, what are we missing here? [00:54:02] Kenny Thunder: How did this get. How did this escalate to a point where, like, you're a ball boy. [00:54:06] Ronnie Jams: Like, just do your job. Are the players, like, at practice and stuff, bullying this ball? Like, what is happening to the point where, like, as soon as the guy's like, no, this is his first. [00:54:15] Kenny Thunder: No, they left him in that. [00:54:18] The Bone Man: Is this like a New England Patriots ball boy or is this, like, no, it's their ball. Okay, that's. I don't know who's on whose sidelines, like, how that works in NFL, but [00:54:26] Kenny Thunder: I think they left him an hour away in the Australian surf, and he was still mad. He was like, this is my ball. I'm selling on an ebay. [00:54:32] Speaker G: Not you. [00:54:32] Kenny Thunder: Travis Hunter. [00:54:33] Ronnie Jams: They just found out that he can't be part of the family. [00:54:35] Kenny Thunder: He can't be a part of it. He's not welcome in the family. [00:54:37] The Bone Man: He was tested and he lost. [00:54:39] Kenny Thunder: Oh, my gosh. [00:54:39] Ronnie Jams: But, yeah, that was a thing. So. [00:54:41] Kenny Thunder: More importantly, though, Travis Hunter drafted. Too much fanfare was almost a Brown for a minute. We got Mason Graham instead. Took him a year, over a year to get his first career interception. [00:54:50] The Bone Man: That's kind of why I, I. This article was interesting. [00:54:53] Ronnie Jams: Three sex. [00:54:55] Speaker G: Four. [00:54:55] Ronnie Jams: Four secs. Yeah. Yeah. No, and Travis Hunter's hardly playing receiver anymore, so. [00:55:01] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, hardly. Don't call me Shirley. [00:55:05] The Bone Man: I mean, is Travis Hunter considered, like, a great corner yet, or is he kind of just. [00:55:08] Kenny Thunder: I think he's considered great. I think he's considered good. High ceiling. [00:55:12] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [00:55:12] The Bone Man: Trading a first round pick for him and losing your next one, and he probably wasn't worth it. [00:55:17] Kenny Thunder: He's ascending like Jared Verse [00:55:21] Ronnie Jams: finally. And around the NFL. The NFL has asked the Department of Homeland Security to take down a social media clip that used hall of Fame safety Brian Dawkins. The clip shows a series of crippling hits Dawkins was known for. The DHS responded by saying, DHS is playing lockdown defense at the border. We will use every weapon at our disposal from A to X to keep Americans safe. The NFL and Brian Dawkins say they did not give permission to use these clips. [00:55:57] Kenny Thunder: Wild story. I don't even know how to respond to this one. I guess from a PR standpoint, I can see the NFL just not wanting to be associated with anything negative politically. [00:56:14] Ronnie Jams: It's kind of funny. I just like that their response was completely like, ignore the request and we will do everything in our power to lock things down. [00:56:26] Kenny Thunder: Like, what does that even lock down on? [00:56:28] Ronnie Jams: Did you even answer. Answer a question? [00:56:30] The Bone Man: As far as I know, like, when. From when the article was written. Like, I don't think they ever took the post down. [00:56:34] Ronnie Jams: They didn't. [00:56:35] Speaker F: It's still up. [00:56:36] The Bone Man: It's still there. [00:56:36] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:56:36] Kenny Thunder: I mean, I don't think they. They probably don't have to. [00:56:39] Ronnie Jams: Right? [00:56:39] Kenny Thunder: They're like, we are the government. [00:56:41] The Bone Man: Yeah. [00:56:41] Ronnie Jams: I mean, I feel like that was the equivalent of like, come at me, bro. [00:56:45] Kenny Thunder: Yeah. You want to have a First amendment suit, let's do it. [00:56:49] Ronnie Jams: I don't. It's just a funny story. Thanks for that one bone. I'll give you credit for bringing that one in. [00:56:54] The Bone Man: That doesn't. Interesting bone. [00:56:55] Kenny Thunder: Hero. [00:56:56] Ronnie Jams: Hero. Homeland Security. [00:57:01] Speaker F: No. Great. [00:57:02] Kenny Thunder: Now we're canceled, right? [00:57:03] The Bone Man: I was just thinking that. Canceled. After everything you guys have said on here. [00:57:07] Ronnie Jams: NFL, Brian Dawkins, Heroes. We'll add everybody. Everybody's a hero. [00:57:11] Kenny Thunder: Roger Goodell. [00:57:12] Ronnie Jams: Hero. Kenny. You know what it's time for? [00:57:15] Kenny Thunder: Heroes. [00:57:16] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. It's time for another interview in our Browns backers interview series. What do you say we interview you? [00:57:26] Speaker C: All right. [00:57:26] Speaker D: Yes. [00:57:26] Ronnie Jams: That's a sometimes useful exercise. Please put your hand down. [00:57:30] The Bone Man: Go ahead. [00:57:31] Kenny Thunder: How much money do you make a year before taxes? I'm actually not comfortable answering that. [00:57:38] The Bone Man: Come on, we're doing the interview now, not you. [00:57:44] Ronnie Jams: All right, so this week for our Browns backers interview, please help me with welcome. Hailing from the get the Getaway pub in Akan, Ohio, the president of the Akan Brownsbackers, Dennis. How are you all doing? [00:58:00] Speaker F: Nice to be here. [00:58:02] Ronnie Jams: Thank you. Dennis, how are you today? [00:58:04] Speaker F: I'm great. How are you all? [00:58:06] Ronnie Jams: Doing well. Doing well. The Browns have won two games in a row, so, you know, that's. That's always good. [00:58:11] Kenny Thunder: We don't know what to do with ourselves. [00:58:13] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [00:58:14] Speaker F: Hey, just enjoy the ride. [00:58:17] Ronnie Jams: Absolutely. Absolutely. So, Dennis, I think you guys are a fairly new chapter, so can you tell us a little bit about the Akron Brownsbackers? [00:58:26] Speaker F: Yes, we're fairly new. I Got the charter in 2023. I think it was the chapter that was before us. They kind of went away with COVID and they never reorganized, so the Browns gave me their chapter. We are at, like you said, the getaway club. Previously, we were at the Barley House, but we didn't get much following down there. So this year we decided to step it up and get to a better location with more people. And so we chose a getaway club. It's pretty nice. We've got. Like I said, we got some pretty nice following, and we're just looking to go up from there. We have 52 members on paper, but we have 28 paid members. As far as our. Our membership now, looking to build, like I said, as high. As big as we can for the Akron area. So that's where we're at right now. [00:59:28] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:59:28] Ronnie Jams: And are you guys. You mentioned, you know, you're starting to grow. You're starting to see those numbers come in. Are you guys doing any. Any sort of charity work or community service right now? [00:59:40] Speaker F: We've. We've thought about that. We're looking to maybe start a scholarship fund. Fund for some high school students. We don't know what that's going to look like until we do get our membership up. And also, as far as, like, the mda, muscular dystrophies, stuff like that, collecting for that. But like I said, that may not be till next year because I. I want to be in a good place so we can do that the right way instead of, you know, just walking into it all messed up. [01:00:13] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, absolutely. And I see, you know, you're. I don't know, in the audio version, they can't see it, but. But you're sitting in a fire station right now. So you're an Akron firefighter. Is that what. Is that right? [01:00:26] Speaker F: No, I'm a North. I'm a North Randall firefighter. I'm a captain, North Randall Fire Department. [01:00:30] Ronnie Jams: North Randall. Nice. How long have you been there? [01:00:34] Speaker F: I've been here four years. I did previously. I was 20 years at East Cleveland Fire Department. [01:00:40] Speaker G: Department. [01:00:41] Kenny Thunder: Oh, wow. [01:00:41] Speaker F: So I've been in the fire service for quite a while. Looking forward to retirement. [01:00:47] Kenny Thunder: Aren't we all? [01:00:48] Speaker F: Yeah, right now. [01:00:50] Ronnie Jams: But it takes. It just. It really takes a special kind of person to do that. I know you guys, at any given moment, you're putting your bodies on the line for everybody else's safety. So we thank you for that. [01:00:59] Kenny Thunder: Absolutely. [01:01:00] Speaker F: Another job. [01:01:02] Speaker G: But. [01:01:02] Ronnie Jams: But, yeah, I'm excited to see what you could do with the Akram rounds backers I'm excited to see them grow. You guys are right in our backyard. So we, you know, we're. We talk about it often on the show. [01:01:11] Kenny Thunder: We're probably gonna have to come crash your party. [01:01:13] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, we're. We're based out. [01:01:14] Speaker F: Come on down [01:01:17] Ronnie Jams: one of these Sundays. We're definitely gonna have to make it over there, but let's. Let's switch over to the football side of things here, so real quick. You know, obviously, there's a lot of talk around desean Watson right now. You know, some. Some people love him, some people hate him. I think everybody. Everybody's. In my opinion, I think everybody's justified in having feelings one way or the other. [01:01:40] Speaker D: Right. [01:01:41] Ronnie Jams: What are your thoughts on desean Watson and what's going on with the Browns right now? [01:01:46] Speaker F: Well, I. I know the history. I'm sure everybody else does. And the way he's played the last. Well, he hasn't played the last couple years was. But kind of had me in, like, a not so positive light for him. I. I kind of hopped on the Shador bandwagon. But I'm at the point now where. And like I see on the news and everything, we want the best person that's going to help us win right now. And he's played a good game the last two games, so trying to stay positive. So hopefully, you know, I don't want to see anybody get hurt like he did last year, but hopefully he can lead us in the right direction. I just want to win, Dennis. [01:02:30] Kenny Thunder: I don't want to get crazy here, but The Browns are 2 and the Browns are 2 and 1. If the Browns were to make the playoffs this year, would you be supportive of an extension for desean Watson? [01:02:47] Speaker F: I would have to be. I mean, if he got us to the playoffs, obviously he turned the leaf and he's not playing like he's been playing like he did last year, interceptions and all that stuff. So I would. I would have to jump on the bandwagon wagon. I would be careful, though. [01:03:04] Ronnie Jams: Definitely not. You're telling me you're not giving them 230 million guaranteed to stay, right? [01:03:10] Speaker F: No. [01:03:13] Ronnie Jams: It is funny because, I mean, the way. Just the. The way that you answered that, I kind of speaks to, I think what a lot of people are feeling. It's like, you. You want to. You want the Browns to win. Sort of conflicted overall. So, like, at the end of the day, it's like, I love to see the Browns. Browns win, so. [01:03:29] Speaker D: Right. [01:03:29] Speaker F: Right. [01:03:30] Ronnie Jams: I think that's where a lot of people land with with that being said, you know, game coming up on Thursday Night Football against the Steelers, everybody's tied for the division lead. Who wins this Thursday in Cleveland? [01:03:45] Speaker F: Man, of course we win. And I want to go back to the. I want to go back to the old school. Old school score of 51. Nothing. We never got them back for that yet. [01:03:55] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, yeah, I like it. I would like to get them back for that. Is, Is this the week they're going to do it? What's your score prediction for this one? [01:04:02] Speaker F: Okay, let's be a little bit more reasonable. I would say probably it may be a close, close game. Maybe 28, 28, 17. [01:04:13] Ronnie Jams: 28 17. Browns. Okay. [01:04:16] Speaker F: Of course we win. [01:04:18] Ronnie Jams: Okay. If. One more question while we're on the, the desean topic and everything else. I was there this week. There was still some. Even even though we won the game, you know, there was a lull there in the third quarter, into the fourth quarter where we weren't playing so well, especially on offense, and there were some boos. Do you think as soon as, do you think this is going to be an ongoing thing all season to where, you know, as soon as desean starts playing poorly, he. The boo birds come out and he starts hearing it. [01:04:48] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, he's gonna get the business. It's just his track history. His history. I mean, he's been here what, four years and he's only played. I don't even know how many games he's played. So it's gonna take a while for people to completely support him. It'll take a Super Bowl, I'll tell you that. If he would have to win. [01:05:14] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, no, and I think I'm right there with you. I think, I think we're going to be dealing with. This is going to be the topic the entire season, I think. And I think it's going to go back and forth. If we do happen to go on even, even two game win streaks in Cleveland is a lot at times. So it's. If we have another, you know, we lose a bad game, but then we win two more. I think it's kind of this back and forth that we're going to be dealing with all season long. [01:05:38] Kenny Thunder: Dennis, I got, I got another question for you. So obviously this is a big week, rivalry week with the Steelers. I think there's, there's a lot different feelings across the Bengals, the Steelers, the Ravens. Who's your all time most hated rival out of the three? [01:05:56] Speaker F: The Squealers. [01:05:59] Speaker D: So this is. [01:06:00] Kenny Thunder: Then this is a big week. [01:06:02] Speaker F: I can halfway tolerate The Ravens and the Bengals, but, yeah, those Steelers. Yeah. I don't like bees because they black or yellow. [01:06:17] Speaker G: I love it. [01:06:18] Ronnie Jams: I love it. Yeah. You know, we, we were split. We've been split on our show for a long time. I always said the Steelers. I think Kenny was in the camp of he hated the Ravens, but I think that's actually changed lately. I think Kenny hates Cincinnati more than any of them. Oh, yeah, he talks a lot about, which I agree. I totally agree with this statement, but he talks a lot about Cincinnati actually being in Kentucky, so we don't claim [01:06:39] Kenny Thunder: them here in Ohio. [01:06:44] Ronnie Jams: But, but, yeah, no, I, I, we all hate the Steelers, and, And I don't like. I don't like bees either. But listen, Dennis, it's been great chatting with you. Thank you for taking a few minutes here, telling us about the Akron Brownsbackers. Anybody that's listening, if you happen to be in the Akron area for the game, make sure you stop in at Getaway Pub and check out the Akron Browns back backers. Dennis, one last question for you. If anybody. Is anybody out there is thinking about joining a Browns backers group, what would you say to them? [01:07:18] Speaker F: I would say do it. I mean, it's, it's fun. You get to sit around with a group of people. You get to know them, and you get to have fun with the game. Even if you had, like, a bad week or you're gonna have, or you, you know, a bad week of work, just go around and sit and have fun with the backers. Just. It's just fun. Can I, Can I say something also? Also, yeah, we do our away games at the Getaway Club, but this Thursday night, we're going to be at Finney's and Norton, Phinney's in Norton, and that's where we have our home games. Oh, so you kind of had a [01:07:48] Ronnie Jams: few locations and you split them up? [01:07:50] Speaker F: Yeah, we, we had to because of a. Occurrence we had the first game, so we split it up. We're gonna have to decide where we're gonna be at next year, but Thursday night is gonna be at Finney, so. [01:08:02] Ronnie Jams: Okay, cool. [01:08:03] Kenny Thunder: Finney's is great. Thank you. [01:08:04] Ronnie Jams: Akron area. Go to Finney's. But, yeah, appreciate it, Dennis. And like we said, when we get a chance, we are in the Akron area, so when we get a chance, we have to get out there and have a beer with you guys and enjoy a game. [01:08:17] Speaker F: Okay. Make. Make sure you get with me so I can tell you where we're at. If it's a home game, we'll be at Phoenix. If it's a weight game, we'll be at the getaway. [01:08:26] Ronnie Jams: We'll find you one way or the other. [01:08:27] Speaker G: Find you. [01:08:28] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:08:28] Ronnie Jams: Okay, Dennis, we appreciate. [01:08:30] Kenny Thunder: Thanks, Dennis. [01:08:31] Speaker F: Thank you. Have a great one. We're the Aurum Browns backers, and you're listening to Burning river sportscast. Go Brown. [01:08:46] Ronnie Jams: Dennis from the Akron Brownsbackers. [01:08:49] Kenny Thunder: Dennis actually is a hero. Like, a real light hero. Like, runs into burning building buildings and puts his life on the line. He's an actual hero. [01:08:56] Ronnie Jams: So this is how the Burning river sportscast comes together. Like, it's. We've just been talking about heroes all over and over and over day long, and now there's an actual hero on the show. [01:09:06] The Bone Man: So I don't know if this is a well known joke, but his lying about the bee and I don't even like bees because they're black and yellow. That was hilarious. I was like, I've never heard that before. [01:09:16] Kenny Thunder: I've never heard it either. Is it a well known joke? [01:09:18] The Bone Man: I don't know. Like, I figured. I feel like it's should be. [01:09:21] Ronnie Jams: But that really got Bone going. He was like, that was my. My. My type of joke. [01:09:26] The Bone Man: That was a great humor. [01:09:26] Kenny Thunder: That is a great. That is a great joke. [01:09:28] Speaker G: But. [01:09:28] Kenny Thunder: But again, facetiously, a lot of people have been monikered heroes tonight. Dennis, legitimate hero. Actual legitimate hero. So we thank Dennis. [01:09:36] Ronnie Jams: Everybody else that we've said hero about, we've just been joking, but Dennis. [01:09:40] Kenny Thunder: Dennis is an actual hero, and we appreciate everything Dennis does for his community. [01:09:44] Ronnie Jams: Thank you, Dennis. And we talked about a little bit with Dennis, but I think it's time to get into the week. [01:10:02] Kenny Thunder: Ronnie, Jim's hero. [01:10:03] Ronnie Jams: Thanks, man. [01:10:05] Speaker D: Hero. [01:10:06] Ronnie Jams: All right, this week, we have a division rival, Steelers. [01:10:10] The Bone Man: Ooh. [01:10:11] Ronnie Jams: And with the preview comes Kenny's. [01:10:16] Kenny Thunder: Cliff's notes. Is it Cliff's notes or Cliff's notes? [01:10:24] Ronnie Jams: We need to stop asking this question. We all know it's Cliff's notes. It's Kenny's, Cliff's notes. [01:10:28] Kenny Thunder: 10 A's, Cliff's notes. Browns versus Steelers. And I have a little bit of this trip to caucus. [01:10:34] Ronnie Jams: So before you start, this is legitimately, though, I think we might have said this before, but this is legitimately like Wayne Gretzky, Michael Scott, like, it's Kenny's. Cliff's notes. They were Cliff's notes, but now. Now they're Kenny's. [01:10:47] Kenny Thunder: What's your board say [01:10:50] Speaker F: today? [01:10:50] Ronnie Jams: It says, so are we good? [01:10:52] Kenny Thunder: Like, so are we good? [01:10:54] Speaker G: Yeah. [01:10:54] Kenny Thunder: From Bone. Did Bone say that? [01:10:56] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, Bone said it. [01:10:56] The Bone Man: I said that. [01:10:57] Kenny Thunder: Wayne Gretzky said that. [01:10:59] Ronnie Jams: Oh yeah, bone. Ronnie jams Michael Scott. [01:11:06] Kenny Thunder: You miss 100% of the Michael Scotts. You don't bone. [01:11:09] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Anyways, go on with Browns vs Steelers [01:11:16] Kenny Thunder: Thursday night brings the first AFC north game of the season for Cleveland. Both teams enter at two and one after unexpected Only one comes out after unexpected week three wins. Two men into one man leaves The Stillers bring a new look to Cleveland with Mike McCarthy as their head coach. It's true we're not sure who will win the game, but if it were a hot dog eating contest, it would definitely be Mike McCarthy. A lot can be said about you're welcome. A lot can be said about Aaron Rodgers. I for one am just impressed that he got up last week after being crushed harder than that time. Shailene Woodley told him she wanted to bang out other dudes. Roger says. 700 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions on the season. Pittsburgh's Jalen Warren gives them a very slight edge. The running game has 216 yards on 38 carries this year. This receiving court used to be anchored by DK Metcalf, but he's forgotten how to catch the ball. Michael Pittman is fine, not great. Pat Firemuth is still solid at tight end, but maybe more frightening is the 6 foot 7, 265 pound Darnell Washington who could be a difference maker. This offensive line is below average. Rotating combinations, poor communication and struggles with blitz pickup early in the season have led to Aaron Rodgers being pressured on nearly 40% of his drop backs and he has already taken eight sacks on the year. Our offensive line has not been particular particularly good at pass pro this year, so they will have their work cut out for them. Again with the Steelers front featuring T.J. watt and Cam Hayward, this linebacking course is good. Wilson, Queen and Highsmith are probably one of the more complete position groups across the entire league. Joey Porter Jr. And Jalen Ramsey, if he plays, will be lurking. Frankly, this is one of the more talented units the Browns will play all year even if they have underperformed to this point. Chris Boswell is in his 12th year kicking for the team and journeyman punter Cam Johnston. Not Johnson. Johnson. Johnston rounds out the specialist so prime time, short week, tough prime time. Wow. Prime time, short week, tough D and an inconsistent offense should make for an interesting matchup. Though the Browns have historically performed well in home Thursday night games 10 and 2. All time. [01:13:33] Ronnie Jams: Hell yeah. [01:13:33] Kenny Thunder: That's all I got. Go Browns. [01:13:35] Ronnie Jams: And with every edition of Kenny's Cliff Notes Brings another addition. The Ronnie Jams matchups that matter. All right, guys. You know how I do. We got two matchups that matter. [01:13:56] The Bone Man: Nice. [01:13:57] Kenny Thunder: Excellent. [01:13:58] Speaker G: Number one here. [01:13:59] Ronnie Jams: Mason Graham versus the interior offensive line of the Steelers. You mentioned it. Their offensive line has not done too well this season so far. A lot of pressures on Aaron Rodgers. Mason Graham has four sacks through three games. On pace to potentially break the record. [01:14:15] Kenny Thunder: Oh, yeah. [01:14:16] Ronnie Jams: Does it keep it going? [01:14:17] Kenny Thunder: We are on record watch for Mason Graham. [01:14:20] Ronnie Jams: Is he able to get another sack? [01:14:22] Kenny Thunder: Maybe two, maybe three. [01:14:24] Ronnie Jams: Who knows? [01:14:25] Kenny Thunder: Dozen or more. [01:14:25] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. I would have thought two was crazy. And then he did it this past week. So, you know, whatever. [01:14:30] Speaker F: True. [01:14:32] Ronnie Jams: Either way, I'm excited. If he has two sacks again, we definitely win this game. I'm gonna go there. That's my. That's my bold prediction. [01:14:38] Kenny Thunder: Sounds like a skeleton key to victory to me. May. [01:14:41] Ronnie Jams: And then next up, TJ Watt and Cam. Cam Hayward versus Spencer Fano and Titus Howard. Howard had a rough week this past week and every week, this week, this, this season so far, leading the league with false starts. And then fan. Fano has been solid. But this is by far their biggest test yet this season. Most talent they faced. And if they can't stop these guys, it's gonna be a really, really long day for DeSean Watson. [01:15:08] Kenny Thunder: I mean, we've joked about the Miles Garrett TJ Watt conversation for years now. That Miles is not here. T.J. watt is the best. Is the best rush end in the division. [01:15:16] Ronnie Jams: Well, Trey Henderson, and he's. [01:15:20] Kenny Thunder: He's really good too. But I think statistically, TJ Watt has Hendrickson beat by quite a bit. [01:15:26] Ronnie Jams: Well, for. For now, but TJ Watts also pushing 30 and Hendrickson's not. [01:15:31] Kenny Thunder: How old's Hendrickson? [01:15:33] Ronnie Jams: I don't know. [01:15:34] Kenny Thunder: It's good to fact check. Yeah, regardless, T.J. watts really good. [01:15:38] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, that's fair. I said, as much as we like to on him, I said he's the biggest test of the season. [01:15:44] Kenny Thunder: That's a matchup that matters. [01:15:45] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, it's a matchup that matters. [01:15:47] The Bone Man: Henderson's 31. [01:15:48] Ronnie Jams: Oh, I tried to tell you. [01:15:49] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, see, Exactly. [01:15:50] Ronnie Jams: I thought he was younger. God damn, that guy's going to be done soon. No wonder the ste. The Ravens defense sucks. Anyways, in summary here, the Steelers are currently 2 and 1 coming off a surprising victory over the Bengals. So far this season, the defense is number eight overall, giving up 305.7 yards per game. Their past defense is number nine, giving up 192.7. Their run defense is 8 18, giving up 113 on offense, they ranked number 23 in the NFL with 287 yards per game. Number 22 in the running attack at 95.7 yards per game and number 19 in the passing attack at 207.7 yards per game. The Browns, on the other hand, coming. They are coming off another win as well, this time over the Panthers. So far this season, defensively, 21 overall in the NFL, those numbers are, I think, cushioned by the terrible, terrible start in game one. But 21 overall in the NFL, 344.3 yards per game. Their past defense is number 17 at 224 yards per game. Run defense number 22 at 120.3. And then on offense, number 30 in the NFL, 263 yards per game, number 29 in the NFL and rushing attack, 87.7. That's right. Really bad. Not much better is their passing attack at 178.3 yards per game. So, yeah, we're going to have to find some offense if we're going to win this game. Because as much as the Steelers aren't that great this year, they've found ways to score points. [01:17:23] Kenny Thunder: So somehow, some way, and with that, [01:17:26] Ronnie Jams: I mean, in every game, there's always a way to win. So it's time to bring in the big Bone man, because it's time for Bone Man. Skeleton key to victory. [01:17:39] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:17:39] The Bone Man: You took my skeleton key. [01:17:41] Ronnie Jams: Did I? [01:17:42] The Bone Man: Well, I hadn't thought of it yet, but I was probably going there because I normally talk about the defense. [01:17:48] Speaker F: That's fair. [01:17:48] Ronnie Jams: Last week you said Jared Verse. [01:17:50] The Bone Man: So I, I think I'm going offense this week. Defense gets after the quarterback or the Steelers consistently get after the quarterback. And I feel like in games against the brain rounds, one way or another, our quarterback ends up getting crushed. And I think that's what they're going to do this week. I think they're going to come after desean and in order to slow that down, we need to run the ball. So my skeleton key to victory is to have 150 yards rushing between our backs this week. I'm hoping we get. I'm hoping we give the ball to Rocket Sanders a little more and give him some opportunities because he seems to have a little more burst. [01:18:27] Ronnie Jams: He had one rush for 17 yards last this past week. [01:18:29] Kenny Thunder: Everybody is so excited about Rocket Sanders. He had one rush last week for 17 yards. [01:18:33] The Bone Man: I was like, maybe give him a few more opportunities. I don't know. I don't know if he sees the field A little differently, but maybe, maybe he will. So that's what I'm going with. I I a better rushing attack. And if we want to win this game, we need to be 150 yards. [01:18:45] Ronnie Jams: Can it be done? [01:18:46] Kenny Thunder: No. [01:18:47] Ronnie Jams: Oh, happen. [01:18:48] Kenny Thunder: Sorry. I mean, we've seen week over week improvement by this team across the board, including this week where the running game was at least lively. [01:18:56] Ronnie Jams: It really shut me down fast, but it wasn't good. [01:18:59] Kenny Thunder: 150 yards just ain't happening. [01:19:00] Ronnie Jams: I like how this segment just became a rebuttal. Your that will skeleton key to victory. It's not happening. [01:19:08] The Bone Man: It's the key to victory. [01:19:09] Kenny Thunder: Okay. It's gonna happen. [01:19:11] Ronnie Jams: No, we're not saying it has to happen. We're just saying if it does, we're win. It's the skeleton key. [01:19:15] Kenny Thunder: I guess we're losing. [01:19:18] Ronnie Jams: Kenny, what's the betting info on this one? [01:19:20] Kenny Thunder: I have some of that. You ready for it? [01:19:24] Ronnie Jams: I asked you for a reason. [01:19:26] Kenny Thunder: Ask me again. [01:19:27] Ronnie Jams: Kenny, what's the betting info? [01:19:29] Kenny Thunder: Stillers 2 and a half over under 38 and a half. [01:19:32] Speaker C: Ha. [01:19:34] Ronnie Jams: So still no respect because the Steelers aren't very good either, so. [01:19:38] Kenny Thunder: No, we are a home dog. [01:19:41] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, home dog. [01:19:42] Kenny Thunder: Home dog. [01:19:43] Ronnie Jams: Players to watch. We'll start with Bone this week. What do you got? [01:19:48] The Bone Man: I'll stick with them. Let's stick with Mr. Sanders or running back Rocket Sanders. [01:19:53] Speaker F: Okay. [01:19:53] The Bone Man: I'm gonna see him get in the Rock a little more this week. [01:19:55] Kenny Thunder: Kenny, I have to go. Mason Graham, he's pacing 18 sacks this year, so see if we can keep stacking them every week. Dude's been an animal. [01:20:03] Ronnie Jams: I think I did the more like 21 or 22. [01:20:05] Kenny Thunder: So I mean, he's pacing at least 18. If he gets 22, that's fair. [01:20:10] Ronnie Jams: You're not wrong. For my player to watch. I think I'm going to go with Casey Concepcion Jr. This week. And the reason I'm going with him is because Bone kind of talked about it a little bit in his skeleton key to victory when he said the Steelers get after the quarterback. And I think another way to combat that is short, shorter inter, like short to intermediate routes where they're crossing over the middle, those types of things, throwing it behind the linebackers that are coming in. So I want to see Concepcion get loose in the middle and just do some damage or rack up that yak. [01:20:50] Kenny Thunder: Rack the yak. [01:20:52] Ronnie Jams: So I'll say I. I'll even give a prediction. If Casey Concepcion has more than 30 yak yards, we win the game. [01:20:59] Kenny Thunder: Can we make that shirt wreck The Yak. [01:21:02] Speaker C: I like it. [01:21:03] Ronnie Jams: I like it. Yeah, I do like that. I'm trying to figure out a way to do this with his name, because there's a lot of K's and C's and his name, but anyways, no, just rack the Yak. Okay. [01:21:14] Kenny Thunder: Just one of those just generic, just football terminologies. [01:21:17] Ronnie Jams: Okay. But with that, let's go ahead. And before we get into King of the North, I want to bring in a dude that was a dude, you know, he was. He was part of King of the north north last year. He dropped out this year. [01:21:33] Kenny Thunder: Was it Bone? [01:21:34] Ronnie Jams: No. Oh, I'm already here. I'm gonna have words with him about why he's not in King of the north again this year, but. Yeah. Let's do a quick interview with our defensive correspondent, John Hughes. [01:21:46] Kenny Thunder: John Hughes. Hero. [01:21:48] Speaker F: Hero. [01:21:48] The Bone Man: Hero. [01:22:05] Ronnie Jams: All right, gentlemen, help me. Welcome to the show the one, the only, the big, the bold, the beautiful, the only member of the show that has laid on top of Kenny and taken his breath away, our very own defensive correspondent and dear friend of the show, Big John. [01:22:25] Speaker G: I like it. I like it. Nice. [01:22:28] Ronnie Jams: Oh, man. John, how are you, man? [01:22:32] Speaker G: I've been pretty good, man, just being a family man at home, man, and. And. And working on the business, man. Working on King Culture. [01:22:40] Speaker F: Hell, yeah. [01:22:40] Ronnie Jams: How's King culture going? [01:22:42] Speaker G: It's been going great, man. We're actually in the process of opening up a school, so we have our two locations now, and we want to grow a little bit faster. So having a school help us pipeline barbers and. And get people in shop stops faster. [01:22:54] Ronnie Jams: Does anybody do Brazilian waxes? [01:22:58] Speaker G: No, we haven't got the Brazilian wax yet, but I'm sure we could find somebody to take care of Kenny. [01:23:04] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, And. [01:23:05] Ronnie Jams: And speaking of. Well, before we get there, how's the fam? I don't want to jump into that just yet. How is the family? [01:23:10] Speaker G: Oh, yeah, family's doing great, man. Kids are in all these sports now, man. They keep us. Keep us running, keep us on the go. My daughter's in flag football now. Hopefully she inherits my good genes and. And can run around a little bit bit, so. [01:23:22] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, absolutely. They just started flag football at our alma mater as well, so it's. It's exciting that they're getting girls involved with the sport. [01:23:31] Speaker G: Yeah, most definitely. I'm actually going to a. A camp for girls flag football coming up next week here in Worthington. So it's. The game is definitely evolving in for women's flag, for sure. [01:23:43] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:23:43] Kenny Thunder: And it's. [01:23:43] Ronnie Jams: It's just an exciting time. [01:23:44] Speaker F: The. [01:23:44] Ronnie Jams: The game's growing all around and it's. It's. We all love football. [01:23:48] The Bone Man: Yeah. [01:23:49] Ronnie Jams: It's the best sport in the world, so. But with all that being said, you're not on King of the north this year, so. What's the matter? You out? [01:23:57] Speaker G: Hey, man, life be life. And man, I. I just got some stuff I got to take care of, man. But I'm definitely here for the. For the punishments and all the BS talk and. [01:24:07] Ronnie Jams: Well, is there. So I guess I should ask as. As you sort of adjust to your new schedule with sports and everything else, is there. Is there a chance we're going to have you back in the future for King of the North? [01:24:19] Speaker G: I definitely think I'll be back for King of the north, man. [01:24:21] Ronnie Jams: I. [01:24:21] Speaker G: You guys, you guys had me on the run last year, man. I was actually worried towards the end, man, but Kenny. Kenny came through for me, man. [01:24:29] Ronnie Jams: So it was, it was. It was real close there at the end. For a minute it looked like you might lose. Kenny firmly took hold of that spot and is now going to get waxed. [01:24:40] Speaker G: It's almost like you wanted to get tackled by me. It was weird. [01:24:42] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Yeah. [01:24:43] Kenny Thunder: I promise you, I didn't. [01:24:47] Ronnie Jams: And at the very end there of this past season, you actually made a run. And I believe it came down to the last set of games for me, you and Bone before I finally pulled ahead. And the only reason that I won was because you picked against Bone because you didn't want to tie him. [01:25:02] Speaker D: Right? [01:25:03] Speaker G: That was. That was the only reason. [01:25:05] Ronnie Jams: That was the only reason. Yeah. But either way, I'm wearing the crown and you're still a little bitch, so. [01:25:10] Speaker G: I hear you, I hear you. It's all right. I'll be back. [01:25:14] Ronnie Jams: With that being said, though, I know you're not a part of it this year, but do you have any ideas for punishments? We're still trying to out figure. Figure this out. [01:25:21] Speaker G: Some good punishments, man. Let's see. Well, think about the week that we have coming up on Thursday. We all have a mutual discuss for. For Pittsburgh. How about the loser has to wear a jer a Pittsburgh jersey all week and to the home opener next week. [01:25:44] Kenny Thunder: Geez. [01:25:45] Ronnie Jams: In the mute. Do they have to tailgate in the mute? Union stuff. [01:25:48] Speaker G: Whole deal, Whole deal. [01:25:50] Speaker F: Whole deal. [01:25:51] Kenny Thunder: Somebody's gonna get beat up. [01:25:54] Speaker G: Think about it. And obviously, you know, we're probably not gonna be playing Pittsburgh game one, so you're gonna be in. You know, whoever's wearing is gonna be wearing a Pittsburgh jersey when there's two other teams playing, which is going to be even worse. [01:26:04] Ronnie Jams: You look like that troll that's just being a jerk. Yeah, yeah, exactly. [01:26:08] Speaker G: It's gonna be hilarious. [01:26:10] Ronnie Jams: I like it. I like. It's definitely going in the, in, in the group of punishments that we're deciding on right now. [01:26:16] The Bone Man: It's pretty good. [01:26:16] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [01:26:17] The Bone Man: Not just all the drunk fans that are going to be very offended. [01:26:20] Speaker G: Right. It sounds like one of the more dangerous punishments you can do. [01:26:24] Speaker D: Right? [01:26:25] Ronnie Jams: What's more dangerous, doing that or getting hit by John Hughes? [01:26:29] Kenny Thunder: I mean, that's a real toss up because I was concussed for about two weeks afterwards. [01:26:34] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, yeah. And speaking of that, John, so, you know, we talk about you hitting Kenny. I understand. First of all, you had a fishing trip this past week. Tell us a little bit about that because I know that the hitting Kenny came up on you fishing trip. [01:26:49] Speaker G: So it came up on the fishing trip and came up actually yesterday when I was at the game. So I went on a fishing trip with some of my old teammates. Guys, sure, you know him. Taba Rubin played the tackle. And DEZ Bryant, I played dn. We went out on a fishing trip out in Destin, Florida, man. Had a great time, great time catching up and reminiscing on old times, you know. But yeah, they were, they were asking basically, like, looking at me like, hey, look. Looking like you're still in fighting shape, man. You think you can hit somebody? I was like, hold on a second. Showed him the video, right? And then so I went to the, the game yesterday, and it was alumni weekend for Cleveland, so hanging out with some, some of the guys. And Ben Davis, one of the alumni was there and he asked me kind of the same question. And I showed him the video. And Ben takes my phone. He started showing all the other alumni the video. He's like, he was like, hey, Greg. Talking about Greg Prud. Hey, Greg, look at this. It was pretty good, man. Everybody got to see you. And the funny thing is that, you know, a lot of the guys I show were on that cruise. So they all know who you are, too. So it made it even better. [01:28:00] Ronnie Jams: Absolutely. Yeah, we. We spent a lot of time with them on the cruise. That was, that was, that was a good time. I don't think they do the cruise anymore. I think that thing's done. [01:28:08] Kenny Thunder: I don't know. [01:28:09] Speaker G: Yeah, I think it's done. [01:28:10] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, it was a good run. It was a good run. But no, it sounds like the fishing trip went really well. It's awesome that all the alumni are Talking about kind of getting hit by. By John Hughes. But let's go ahead. You mentioned being at the game. Let's. Let's talk about the Browns a little bit. [01:28:28] Kenny Thunder: Right? [01:28:28] Ronnie Jams: So my lifelong goal being talked about by all the alumni. How. How bad were they really? Like, oh, this guy's probably hurt. Like, how bad was it? [01:28:39] Speaker G: They were more surprised that I could still bring it a little bit. You know what I mean? It was like, oh, man, you really got him. Then, you know. You know how the video kind of zooms in on Kenny's face? They're like, oh, yeah, he's hurting. [01:28:48] Kenny Thunder: Yeah, he brought it. [01:28:49] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. But no, so you were. You were at the game. The boy Browns are 2 and 1G. Did you. You see that one coming? [01:28:56] Kenny Thunder: You have that on your bingo card? [01:28:57] Speaker G: That was not on my bingo card, but I'm happy to be here, man. [01:29:01] Speaker D: I, I. [01:29:01] Speaker G: Honestly, man, it's. It's been a crazy past two games watching Cleveland, man. I feel like we've seen a completely different quarterback play from weeks one to weeks two and three, right? And, you know, it's funny because a lot of the. A lot of. A lot of people, a lot of fans and. And everybody were talking, talking about, you know, getting Shador in and, you know, and getting, you know, getting shot out. But it's. It's funny because those same people are like, all right, let me. Let me see one more game. You know what I mean? Like, and it keeps kind of. And that's kind of where I'm at. I'm like, he's playing. He's playing. Good ball, man. Let's just kind of see where this thing goes. [01:29:36] Kenny Thunder: And so 2, 2 and 1. I mean, let's get crazy. What's. What's. What's the ceiling here for this team? I mean, is the P word in the equation. Equation here? [01:29:46] Speaker G: I think it's definitely an equation, especially the way our defense is playing. Obviously, there's always things you can clean up, but as far as a whole unit, man, I think we played very well on defense, and we got it done on offense, and we played well in. In the critical minutes. Right. I feel like that's a big thing in Cleveland. It's like, we'll hang in there. Hang in there. And then towards the end, we started to let it slip away, so it was nice to see him finish the game. [01:30:10] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, I get what you guys are talking about now. I was wondering what that had to do with football, but go on. [01:30:18] Kenny Thunder: So, you know, John, I think you. You rightly pointed out you know, the. The team looked very different in, like, week one versus what we've seen the last two weeks now, which I think, you know, probably credit to Todd Monkin and staff. I mean, what do you think of just the job he's done getting this team out of the gate so far this year? [01:30:34] Speaker G: I think. I think he's done a great job. I. Honestly, man, seeing the. The. The. The jump from week one and two, you know, it's. It's tough, you know, taking a. Taking a beating like that week one because, you know, you still got 16 games you're looking. Looking at or, you know, so it's for him to be able to rally the guys early and being able to, you know, connect. Two wins right after that. It shows that they're on the right track. It's. It's easy to get down in the beginning especially. And with my experience in Cleveland, you know, you lose that first game and you kind of start to think of the history. Right. Of like, okay, well, here we go again. Right. So I'm glad those guys are. Or keep. Keep fighting and they're at where they're at now. [01:31:14] Ronnie Jams: Absolutely. And I will say, these last two games, not that I'm fully on the bandwagon yet, we weren't. We weren't fans of the Todd Monk and Hire when it happened. We thought it was just kind of. Honestly, it was like leftovers. Like, we. We needed a coach, so we had to hire somebody, and all of our top choices went elsewhere or just decided to take their names out of the running or whatever the case. Case may be. So it didn't feel like this was the guy. [01:31:42] Speaker F: And. [01:31:42] Ronnie Jams: And to be honest, like, it still feels like that a little bit. But he's at least over these last two weeks and some of the things he's said and done since the season started, I'm at least open to the fact that he might be a better coach than I thought he was. [01:31:58] Kenny Thunder: He's 2 and 1, so something's happening, so. [01:32:01] Speaker G: Right. Yeah, it's definitely a different. A different start than we usually have in Cleveland. So, like, like I said, I'm trying to see where this thing goes, man. I. I think, like I said, I think he's got the guys going in the right direction. And once if you have the team on your side, because that's a big thing as a head coach, you know, your team can turn on you in a way and it can make it harder, obviously. So it seems like the team's on board, man. And like I said, they're going in the right direction. [01:32:22] The Bone Man: That's the biggest thing for me is after that first week, it. It just looked on every aspect of the game didn't look like anything was going well. And it's honestly seemed like to me, like he already lost the locker room after that first game. And then for it to turn around like it did the last two weeks is, I think, kind of a testament. A testament to the coaching staff and Todd Monkin. [01:32:42] Kenny Thunder: So. [01:32:42] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, yeah. And I'll say this, and John, I know you have more insight into this, especially with an NFL locker room, because we've never been in one, but the fact, like, Like, I saw that some of the Cleveland media posted from one of their practices this past week at the end of the practice. Practice. We talked about this on Sunday after the game a little bit. But at the end of the practice, they had journeys. Don't stop believing on. And then the speakers all got cut because practice was over and they were bringing it in to break it down, and all the players kept singing together, and it was like. It was like a moment for the team. And you don't really see those moments out of teams that aren't together, that aren't like. Like there has to be some camaraderie there. Some. Everybody's got to be somewhat on the side, same page. And I think it, you know, correct me if I'm wrong, I think it speaks to them potentially buying into whatever Todd Monkin is selling over. [01:33:35] Speaker G: Yeah, most definitely. And honestly, man, like, I didn't even know that. That's. That's really cool, man. [01:33:39] Ronnie Jams: I. [01:33:39] Speaker G: And I. And it definitely it, you know, it builds on what they're trying to do. Right. And especially if everybody's on board, I won't be surprised, man, if. If we're, you know, looking down the road and we're in the. In the P word, right? And we're. And we go back and look at that video from week, you know, whatever, and watching that, right, because it just shows the. The journey of these guys, man. I. I'm excited for the scene, man. I. I think we have something different here, man, and. And we'll see what happens. [01:34:08] Ronnie Jams: I hope so. [01:34:09] Speaker F: One more. [01:34:10] Ronnie Jams: One more thing on the Todd Monkin front there. We talked about this on Sunday. On Sunday, Kenny. Is Jerry Judy, actually, to me, is. Is an example of some of maybe the culture change or discipline that Todd Monkin's putting in place because j. Unhappy right now. However, what we're not getting out of Jerry Judy is going to the sidelines and causing Big disturbances, yelling at people, whatever the case would be, even though he's clearly unhappy, he just puts his head down and goes to the sideline. And so we speculated, and. Just pure speculation, but it's. It's. It seems like that might be tied to, like, the no nonsense out of Todd Monkin so far since he's been with the Cleveland Browns. [01:34:51] Speaker G: Yeah, no, it definitely could be. And honestly, I. I feel like I've seen this kind of same thing out of Judy, man. But at the same time, when your team's doing good, any. Any. Any real player that wants to win, at the end of the day, they'll put their pride and ego aside and they'll do whatever they got to do to help the team. I know it sounds cliche, but that's. It's a real thing, man. Like, there's guys that I've. I've been in locker rooms with that knows they should have started. They. They got their spot taken or for some reason or another, and they're still like the biggest cheerleader on the sideline, you know, for the guy that's in front of them. Right? Because they know at the end of the day, if that guy does his job, we're going to win the game. Or, you know, if everybody does their job, we're going to win the game. So. [01:35:31] Ronnie Jams: So you're saying Antonio Brown was not a real player. [01:35:35] Kenny Thunder: Antonio Brown. [01:35:37] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [01:35:38] Speaker G: Well, you know what I say when I say real player, right? [01:35:40] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, I got you. I got. I. You know, I just like to take your words and twist them and make it seem like you're saying things you're not saying. Typical media. [01:35:48] Speaker G: Spoken like a real analyst, reporter man. [01:35:51] Ronnie Jams: Yep, exactly. Exactly. So no next up here. I. I do have a question about the defense. I mean, obviously they've started to gel and come together. These last two games have been much better than the first two. But let's start with Mason Graham. I mean, you guys play the same position, right? You guys both defensive tackles. So tell us what you're seeing out of Mason Graham and if this is sustainable. I mean, he's pace for 20 sacks, [01:36:14] Speaker G: so, yeah, Mason look great, man. I think he's really taken home hold of, especially going into his second year. He's still young, you know what I mean? But he's taken that. That leadership role to another level, and it speaks in his play now. I love the kid, man. I love how he plays. I love how he runs around here. Actually reminds me of one of my friends I played with in college that played in the league. Derek Wolf, as far as body type and size and how he moves, I wouldn't be surprised. I don't know if Mason was a wrestler, but I would bet that he is. Just the way that he has his body position and body, Body control. A lot of wrestlers are good at that, and Wolf was, too. [01:36:52] Ronnie Jams: I thought you were gonna say it reminds me of a young John Hughes. [01:36:56] Speaker G: Well, as far as body type. [01:36:58] Kenny Thunder: Right. [01:36:58] Speaker G: I mean, he's like a slimmer guy. You know what I mean? [01:37:00] Ronnie Jams: So he's not nearly as big as I was, but, but no. And then the rest of the defense, I mean, obviously Carson Schweisinger is a, is just a stud out there, and they've got guys making big plays all over the place. What's, what's the, what sticks out the most for you when you're looking at the defense? [01:37:19] Speaker G: For me is honestly their, their ability to get off the field, right? And yeah, I know they put drives together here and there, but as far as being able to get off the field, it gives the offense more opportunities. Right? And I know I've talked to you guys about this before, but a defense can only hold for so long, right? So the defense's job is to get off the field, right? So you give the offense more opportunities, more possessions, and you should look better at the end. [01:37:43] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, absolutely. [01:37:45] Kenny Thunder: John, obviously there's been a lot of questions around the quarterback and what's going on there. We know the whole, the whole history there, but I want to talk about just the young wide receivers on this team right now. We talked a little bit about Jerry Judy, but just your thoughts on those guys to start the year and where you think, you know, kind of the ceiling is for both of those guys. [01:38:02] Speaker G: Yeah, I was, I was definitely excited about the rookie receivers coming into this, this year after the draft, man, got to see him in training camp and look great. And between Denzel Boston and Exceptional man, I, I, I like them both, man. I, Especially with Denzel, man, I was watching him in the Tampa game, man, and it just seems like he's, like, between Tampa and this past game, it seems like he's kind of just stepping into that role, right, as, as that, that number one. And I mean, we'll obviously see as the weeks go on, but I, I think that he's, he's looking really good as far as, as catching the ball and, and getting yak yards too. That, that was one thing I really noticed with him, is when he caught the ball, he wasn't just going down, he was getting as many yards as possible. So 50. [01:38:47] Ronnie Jams: 50 balls for him are more like 8020. [01:38:50] Speaker G: Right. Think about it, man. We haven't really had a, A, a big physical receiver. I mean, you, you can, you can. [01:38:57] Kenny Thunder: Josh Gordon. [01:38:58] Speaker G: I was gonna say since Josh. Right. And then before that. Right. Maybe, you know, a Braylon Edwards type guy. [01:39:03] Kenny Thunder: Right. [01:39:03] Speaker G: But it's, it's nice that we're bringing bully ball back to Cleveland and in the receiver room and everything. [01:39:10] Kenny Thunder: So when I think even outside of just being, you know, the bully ball and having a guy that can get up and get it, it's just like we have playmakers on this offense for the first time in a while. It feels like the days of Jarvis and Odell Beckham and like all those guys was so long ago. It really wasn't that long ago, but it feels like we went for a long stretch there where there just wasn't a lot of guys, guys that had the potential to be household names, you know, in, in that room. And all of a sudden here we are with Denzel, Boston, Concepcion and Fanon. Like, we've got some real guys that can create mismatches and, and danger for other teams for the first time in a while. It's really cool. [01:39:46] Speaker G: Yeah. Oh, yeah. [01:39:47] Speaker C: And. [01:39:48] Speaker G: And the fact that, like, you know, we said they're young, right? So we've got some time, right, to, to figure it out. And they're. And they're. They're good early. And that's why I love this team, man. Like, it's to be one of the younger teams in the league and you're still winning games right now. It shows something. And like I said, you know, before, we're going the right direction, but it's, it's nice to see that, you know, the players are making plays, getting to the ball, catching the ball. You know what I mean? Like, it's the little things, obviously, that makes, makes the games go the way we want them to. [01:40:15] Ronnie Jams: Absolutely. We've asked you, you know, you're our defensive correspondents. We asked you about the defense, we asked you about the offense, quarterbacks, receivers, and I'm going to ask you about the running backs in the running game. So, I mean, right now, I think where we're at with the running game is we, we understand that the offensive line is, is new together. They're still gelling, they're still developing. But with that being said, we, I think, are at least a little concerned with Quin, Sean Judkins, and the fact that there has been. He's basically, since the first four or five games of his, his career, he's averaged about 1.9 yards of carry. So, I mean, just from your eyes and what you're seeing, do you credit that more to the offensive line? We know it was pretty poor last year and they're still new this year. Do you think Quinn. Sean's going to get it figured out? [01:41:10] Speaker G: Yeah, I think he figures it out and I do think it's a lot has to do with the O line. If I'm. If I'm not wrong. I believe it's a whole new starting five across the board. Right? Including completely. [01:41:21] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [01:41:22] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:41:22] Speaker G: I mean, I mean, even with, you know, OTA's training camp, it still takes time to jail, like you were saying. So it's, it's gonna, it's gonna take some time and getting those live game reps. Right, because you can, you can do as many plays and practice as you want. But those live bullets, they're just different. Right. Got some in preseason, so hopefully they can iron things out and, and get him going early. [01:41:43] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, I, I hope so, because it. For, you know, right out the gate, he looked amazing. I took some steps back as. But injuries did build up, so it's just a hard thing to gauge right now. It's. It's. And we go back to obviously not everybody's Nick Chubb, but you saw Nick Chubb retire as a Brown this weekend. So, yeah, we were spoiled with Nick Chubb, and Nick Chubb made offensive lines look a lot better than they probably actually were. So we've had that before. So it's just. It's hard to gain right now because it's just not been great running game lately, but go ahead. [01:42:22] Speaker G: No, I was gonna say with. With. With junkins, man. I. It obviously him not getting hit in the backfield, him being able to cross the line to be able to make a play. It's once. Once the old line starts to get some push and figure it out, man. I, I think he'll be fine. I, I do think it's. It's just a couple adjustments. I don't think it's him as his play at all at this point. So. [01:42:45] Ronnie Jams: Now I know. Do you have any other questions before we. I know that you said, you know, you're kind of rolling with this and, and you know, you want to see. You're at the point where you're kind of like one more game, you know, what's desean got, what's going on? So. So at this point, you're, you're more or Less on the Deshaun Watson band. [01:43:07] Speaker D: Right. [01:43:07] Speaker G: Well, I. And I'm. I don't. I wouldn't say I'm on the DeShawn bandwagon, but I will say you play your hot hand, right? And if. If he had the. If he had the games that he had week one these past two weeks, I think we'd all be saying the same thing, right? But it would be. It would be tough if Cleveland pulled him right now to give Shador a look, you know what I mean? With the way he's playing, I do feel like he's on a tight leash, and he puts together a couple bad games, and we will be seeing Shador. So I think it's all about what he. [01:43:46] Ronnie Jams: Did you hear the pop Shador got when. When he came in, he said the pop. [01:43:50] Speaker G: Oh, yeah, that one. Yeah. [01:43:55] Ronnie Jams: It was the craziest thing to me because Nick Chubb was there retiring as a Cleveland Brown, and the loudest cheers of the day were the one play Shador San Sanders came in. The stadium was rocking, Rocking. So. [01:44:08] Speaker G: And see, and that's the thing, too. It's like, obviously, Sean didn't. Deshaun didn't do any favors with that. That press release he had about the fans. You know what I mean? So, you know, saying he's playing 17 away games. I. I mean, I. If anybody could have told him, being in Cleveland, the last thing you want to do is have the fans turn on you. Right. Even more so than they already have from your play. But he's. [01:44:32] Speaker D: He. [01:44:33] Speaker G: He's. He's backing it up right now. You know what I mean? So it's really. We kind of just had to sit back and. And. And watch. Watch it. Watch it kind of play out. [01:44:40] Ronnie Jams: Yep. So you're rolling with desean. So one last question here. Would you let desean Watson babysit your children? [01:44:51] Speaker G: No, but I don't know him like that. [01:44:55] Speaker C: But. [01:44:55] Speaker G: But I will let him start on my fantasy, which he did last week, and I won. [01:44:58] Ronnie Jams: So there you go. So. Yeah. [01:45:02] Speaker D: Right. [01:45:02] The Bone Man: Well, that's a good answer. [01:45:04] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. I think you have a future in politics. [01:45:07] Kenny Thunder: John's had media training. [01:45:10] Speaker G: Matter of fact, he. He scored in my league. At least he scored more than Josh Allen. I was playing against Josh, and so I was actually surprised. I'm like, okay, well, we got something here. [01:45:20] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, Josh had a bad game, that's for sure. How much more did you score than Josh? Because I find it funny that, like, that's. That's surprising on the surface, but the conversations between us, it was in my [01:45:32] Speaker G: league, it was like, I think, five. I think in my league, I was. I got, like, 24. And I think Josh scored, like, 17 [01:45:39] Ronnie Jams: in my league, so they were that close. And we're talking about Josh Allen having one of his worst games ever and desean Heaven, one of his best. So I just. Just an observation. [01:45:50] Speaker G: And one of his best. Hey, so whatever it's worth, I'm not [01:45:55] Ronnie Jams: saying anything by saying this. I'm just making an observation. And then I. I do have one more thing to add. I don't know if you've seen these, John, but we got to get you. You probably can't see it in the picture, but we got to get you one of these bracelets. It's a what would bone do? Bracelet, because, you know, obviously, we all want to live our lives by that saying, so. [01:46:14] The Bone Man: Yeah, I'm sure, you know, I had everything to do with that. [01:46:17] Ronnie Jams: Yep, [01:46:19] Speaker G: you did. You didn't. You didn't know until they gave it to you, like, oh, no, no. [01:46:24] Ronnie Jams: But no, John, it's been great having you on. [01:46:26] Kenny Thunder: Real quick, John. [01:46:26] Ronnie Jams: Oh, we got one more. [01:46:27] Kenny Thunder: What's. What's your score prediction this week? [01:46:29] Ronnie Jams: Steelers week. [01:46:30] Speaker G: Big week. [01:46:30] Kenny Thunder: What do we got? [01:46:32] Ronnie Jams: Are the Browns going to take the division lead? [01:46:35] Speaker G: Hell, yeah, they are. We're definitely going to win. I'm trying to figure out the score now. [01:46:39] Ronnie Jams: That's. That's, like, you know, we're comfortable in these waters. We've been there before. [01:46:42] Kenny Thunder: We've been there twice before. [01:46:46] Speaker G: I got 21, 14. Team Browns. [01:46:50] Speaker C: I like it. [01:46:50] Speaker G: Okay. [01:46:51] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. [01:46:51] Kenny Thunder: Browns could start Thursday. [01:46:53] Speaker G: One in Cleveland. Come on. [01:46:57] Ronnie Jams: We're gonna go a step further if. Let's just assume they win this week, which we probably shouldn't do, but we're [01:47:01] Kenny Thunder: gonna do it anyways. [01:47:03] Ronnie Jams: We're gonna assume they win this week. Do they start 4 and 1, beat the jets next week? [01:47:08] Speaker G: I think you kind of have to beat the jets after. After you. After you go three games in a row. I mean, is. Is it. Is it in New York or at [01:47:15] Ronnie Jams: home to New York? [01:47:17] Speaker G: Yeah, you got. You got. You got to go. Take it, man. [01:47:19] Ronnie Jams: He's like, it doesn't really matter. [01:47:20] Kenny Thunder: I'm gonna pick. I just want to hear your answer, John. He said it. Book it. [01:47:25] Ronnie Jams: 4 and 1 1. 4 and 1, the Browns. [01:47:27] Kenny Thunder: That's where we're at. That's where we're at. [01:47:29] Ronnie Jams: Hell, yeah, John. I like this energy. We need to win more often so that everybody can be excited when we're talking. [01:47:34] Speaker G: Hey, hey. I learned early that everybody is in A better mood when you win and everybody's in a bad mood when you lose. I was in a bad mood for four years in Cleveland. So being able. So, so being able to go to other places, man, and play, it was different. Right? But honestly, man, but when you win in Cleveland, it feels better than any other win anywhere else. You know what I mean? [01:47:56] Ronnie Jams: So we've been in a bad mood for like 24 of 26 years. So, you know, whatever. I just noticed you got a hat covering it up, but you got some cornrows up there. [01:48:09] Speaker C: You got. [01:48:09] Ronnie Jams: You got your hair all. [01:48:10] Speaker G: Yeah, man. [01:48:11] Ronnie Jams: Oh, hell yeah. [01:48:12] Speaker G: You know, I was trying to show my King Culture, man, but I got. I got my hair too. [01:48:16] Ronnie Jams: He pro. He got his. He got it done at King Culture. [01:48:19] Kenny Thunder: John came to the Baron River Sportscast. Ready to go. [01:48:22] Speaker G: Ready to go, man. My best beard and braided, man. [01:48:25] Ronnie Jams: Hell yeah. [01:48:26] Kenny Thunder: Love it. [01:48:27] Ronnie Jams: Hell yeah. John, I wish we could stay on and talk to you all night. Unfortunately, we got to do like a two and a half hour podcast. [01:48:32] Kenny Thunder: There you go. [01:48:32] Ronnie Jams: And talk about all the things we always talk about. So next season or the season after, whenever you're ready to come back, please come back back to the show. Make it a little bit more fun so I don't have to deal with these every night. [01:48:44] Kenny Thunder: Well, when we'll have John bag when The Browns are 10 and 1 so we can talk about the success. [01:48:49] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, you'll be back on this season, but I'm just, I'm just saying, like, please, matter of fact, it's something [01:48:55] Speaker G: so we can talk about it. [01:48:58] Ronnie Jams: All right, John, we appreciate it. [01:48:59] Speaker G: Thanks. I appreciate you guys, man. Take it easy. [01:49:21] Ronnie Jams: John Hughes. [01:49:21] Speaker D: Hero. Hero, Hero. [01:49:24] Ronnie Jams: Somebody here. [01:49:24] Kenny Thunder: I can be your hero, baby. [01:49:27] Ronnie Jams: No, that's not where we're going either. [01:49:28] The Bone Man: I love hearing from John Hughes. [01:49:30] Ronnie Jams: Stop. After the show, we'll sing hero hero songs. [01:49:33] Kenny Thunder: Who's the bigger hero, John Hughes or [01:49:38] Ronnie Jams: Method Man? [01:49:42] The Bone Man: No, John Hughes, obviously. [01:49:47] Kenny Thunder: I don't even know what we're talking about. [01:49:48] The Bone Man: Question. [01:49:50] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Anyways, in case anyone doesn't. Wait, wait, wait. We're not there yet. Now that we heard from a former King of the north contestant, let's get into King of the North. [01:50:07] Speaker G: Yeah. [01:50:08] Ronnie Jams: In case anyone doesn't know by now, this is our. This is our year long AFC north pick' em competition. At the end of every season, whoever comes in last place gets punished. In the preseason three years ago, Kenny had a gross of eggs thrown at him by fans in the muni lot before a game. In the preseason two years ago, Kenny had His hair and beard shaved clean off. Last season, Kenny donned the patch for the first time in almost 20 years and got hit three times by our guy, Big John he Hughes. And still to come this season for losing last year, Kenny will be getting a Brazilian wax. That should be refreshing. And the loser of this season's punishment is to be decided. John Hughes had a good one. You got to wear Steelers garb all all week long and then go to the muni lot and tailgate that feels like home opener. [01:50:52] Kenny Thunder: Literally get assaulted. [01:50:53] Ronnie Jams: You might. But stay tuned. Whatever we decide on is sure to be entertaining and it's going to happen to Kenny. So Kenny Thunder. Yeah. [01:51:01] Kenny Thunder: Hero. [01:51:01] Speaker G: No. [01:51:03] Ronnie Jams: Let's go ahead and get into it. First things first. I remind everybody that I am the reigning defending king of the North. Kenny, you're a clown. [01:51:13] Kenny Thunder: Thank you. [01:51:15] Ronnie Jams: And also our current records. After week three, Bone and Kenny at six and five and I'm at five and six Champion. How many championships do you have? That's what I thought. Shut up. [01:51:25] Speaker G: All of them. [01:51:25] Ronnie Jams: Let's go ahead and get into this week's games. The Ravens host the Titans. Kenny, who you got? [01:51:34] Kenny Thunder: Titans are really bad. Baltimore coming out of a shootout with Dallas. I think I just don't think Tennessee has the offense here. I think this is a probably a two score win by Baltimore. [01:51:50] Ronnie Jams: Bone. [01:51:52] The Bone Man: Ravens. Yeah. Also a big win by Baltimore. [01:51:56] Ronnie Jams: I'm going Ravens as well. Tennessee's not very good. Enough said. Next up, Cincinnati hosts the Jaguars. Bone, who you got? [01:52:08] The Bone Man: Man? Jaguars are playing good but they are beatable. I'll keep, I'll stick with Cincinnati at [01:52:18] Kenny Thunder: home on a horse. [01:52:21] The Bone Man: Joey B. Joey B. Wins it. [01:52:25] Ronnie Jams: I, I'll go Cincinnati too. I think this one's a coin flip. And Cincinnati is at home in Kentucky. [01:52:31] Kenny Thunder: So I'll go since my old Kentucky home. [01:52:35] Ronnie Jams: Yeah. Kenny, who you got? [01:52:37] Kenny Thunder: This is the trickiest game of the the bunch this week. I think we thought Cincinnati was really good. Then they lost to Pittsburgh so maybe they're not that that good. Jacksonville seems to be okay. Still not maybe a huge believer in Trevor Lawrence. Bengals are at home, right? [01:52:55] Ronnie Jams: Yep. [01:52:56] Kenny Thunder: I'll go Bengals. [01:52:58] Ronnie Jams: So nothing changes so far this week. And then finally the Browns try to keep the momentum going on Thursday night Football against the Steelers. I'll go first in this one. I know we're 10 and two at home on Thursday Night Night Football. However, our offensive line is still trying to figure things out. Our run game has not gotten going so far. I just with that defensive front from the Steelers. I, I, I think it's going to be a long day for the offensive line. I think it's going to be a long day for DeSean Watson. I don't think we score a lot of points. So I'm going to go Steelers in this one, and I'm going to go with a score of 24 to 9. Bone, who you got? [01:53:49] The Bone Man: You guys called it. I'm picking the Browns. [01:53:52] Ronnie Jams: Didn't see that coming. [01:53:54] The Bone Man: I'm just going to do it. I think they ride the high team's still amped up and they figure something out to combat the Steelers rushing attack. I think our defense can handle anything. I think they're going to put a lot of pressure on Aaron Rodgers, and I think. I think they're going to crush him. I think he's going to have a really hard time sitting back there and throwing the ball and picking us apart. I don't think he's going to be able to do it. So Browns, Browns 18. Steelers 15. [01:54:26] Ronnie Jams: Okay, Kenny, who you got? Surprise us and go Browns. Do it. [01:54:32] Speaker C: Gosh, [01:54:36] Kenny Thunder: I do think there's something special happening in Cleveland. I know that it has nothing to do with DeSean Watson, but the rest of this team, this defense, these young wide receivers, there's something happening there. I can't quite quantify what it is. [01:54:53] Ronnie Jams: It's happening. [01:54:55] Kenny Thunder: You know, it's kind of funny. Like, Deshaun Watson was brought here because we thought Baker couldn't take us to the next level, and the Baker was holding us back, so we needed a quarterback to take us to the next level. And now we're in this position where we have this young, budding team where it feels like maybe the sky's the limit and the one thing that might be holding them back is Deshaun Watson as the quarterback maybe not being good enough to get them to the next level. So we're like in the same place that we were all that to say Cleveland wins Thursday night, goes to three and one, beat the Steelers. Let's go. 23, 20. Go Browns. [01:55:30] Ronnie Jams: No way. No way. Oh, my God. I am shook at right now. [01:55:39] Kenny Thunder: Against my better judgment. [01:55:40] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, I don't know what's happening. I'm either gonna be two games behind you guys or we're all gonna be tied. So that's where we're at right now. But with that, that'll do it for King of the North. Let me remind everybody, call the Burninger Sportscast. Never call. Leave your hot takes on the hot take highlight. Remember, these are hot takes. We want hot takes. You know what that takes us to, Kenny? [01:57:46] Kenny Thunder: Facts for. Facts for days. [01:58:02] Ronnie Jams: What do you got? [01:58:03] Speaker D: Number one? [01:58:04] Kenny Thunder: Number one, there are more bacteria in your mouth than there are people on earth. Your mouth hosts hundreds of species of microorganisms, organisms with bacterial numbers commonly estimated in the billions, billions and billions. Is that Carl Sagan? Especially if it has been a while since your last brush. [01:58:31] Ronnie Jams: Is that all that like different dimensions and stuff are his like, oh, I [01:58:35] Kenny Thunder: don't think this has anything to do with different dimensions. I just think that's dirty Mouse Dirty mouse. [01:58:40] Ronnie Jams: No, no, no, no. Where I was going with this though, though, is like, there's millions and millions of microorganisms. But what if those microorganisms were like, people? [01:58:47] Kenny Thunder: Well, there's more of them than people. [01:58:50] Ronnie Jams: I understand, but what if that's their earth and they're, you know what I'm saying? And then like, if you zoom out and then we're the microorganisms. [01:58:58] The Bone Man: Are you talking about osmosis Jones? [01:59:00] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. [01:59:03] Kenny Thunder: I'm lost number two. [01:59:05] Ronnie Jams: Who does number two work for? [01:59:08] Kenny Thunder: Octopuses. [01:59:10] Speaker C: Does [01:59:14] Kenny Thunder: octopuses sometimes octopi punch fish. [01:59:18] The Bone Man: Nice. [01:59:18] Ronnie Jams: Actually do this one. [01:59:19] Speaker G: This is a good fact. [01:59:20] Kenny Thunder: Octopuses sometimes hunt in groups with fish like grouper or goatfish. The fish find the prey. And octopuses, octopi use their flexible arms to reach into tight cracks. Tight cracks and rocks. If a fish tries to steal food without helping or gets in the way way of a meal, the octopus will lash out. And with a fast tentacle jab to correct them. The octopus acts as the leader of the hunting group. And it will punch fish to force the group to keep moving rather than staying still. Scientists do note that some punches bring no immediate food reward or benefit. Leading researchers to suggest that the octopus sometimes just strikes simply out of annoyance or spite. Yeah, they just get pissed off and whack a mole. [02:00:01] Ronnie Jams: The octopus is the red hot Ronnie jams of this red hot Ronnie. [02:00:06] Kenny Thunder: James Jams hero number three. [02:00:10] Ronnie Jams: Bone hero. [02:00:11] Kenny Thunder: Birds can sleep off flying. [02:00:15] Ronnie Jams: Of course they can. [02:00:15] Kenny Thunder: The great frigate birds can remain airborne for weeks during long journeys and have been recorded taking tiny seconds long naps while flying, totaling around 45 minutes of sleep per day while airborne during migratory pattern. [02:00:33] The Bone Man: That's wild. Is that kind of like me when I'm driving? [02:00:37] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, yeah. [02:00:39] The Bone Man: Catch a few z's for a few [02:00:40] Ronnie Jams: seconds, you just like, how do I get from point A to point B? But I'm here. [02:00:44] Kenny Thunder: You totally forget how you got to work in the morning. [02:00:46] Ronnie Jams: Something was off there. [02:00:47] Kenny Thunder: That, my friends, is facts for days. [02:00:49] Ronnie Jams: Real quick before we close this thing out. You know, we watched Monday Night Football as we recorded our episodes and Jaylen Hurts got rocked on the the sideline. Did you guys all catch that? Nick Sirianni was yelling across the field, you're a. He just. The broadcast caught it. He yelled it like six times. [02:01:07] The Bone Man: To the guy that hit him. [02:01:08] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, to the guy that hit him. [02:01:09] The Bone Man: Dang. [02:01:10] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:01:11] Ronnie Jams: So I just thought that was crazy. But anyways, there's a local Portage county [02:01:14] Kenny Thunder: sheriff who said Things like that. [02:01:16] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, there is. There is. And speaking of that bone, you got anything to say? [02:01:20] The Bone Man: Yeah. It's late, so I'm going to bed. Bon appetit. [02:01:24] Kenny Thunder: Don't just be a part of the problem. Be the whole damn problem. [02:01:26] Ronnie Jams: And only you can prevent river fires. [02:01:31] Kenny Thunder: Burning river sports. [02:01:32] Ronnie Jams: Burning river. There goes my heroes. Watch him as he goes. [02:01:44] Kenny Thunder: I don't know any other words. [02:01:46] Ronnie Jams: He's ordinary. You guys don't know anything of it. [02:01:49] Speaker C: I don't. [02:01:50] Kenny Thunder: That's the only part. [02:01:51] Ronnie Jams: Do, do, Enrique. [02:01:53] Kenny Thunder: I can be your hero, baby. [02:01:55] The Bone Man: Much better. [02:01:57] Ronnie Jams: I can kiss away the pain. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. [02:02:02] Kenny Thunder: I will dance by you forever. You can take my breath away. Good night, Cleveland. [02:02:13] Ronnie Jams: Good night, Cleveland. [02:02:15] The Bone Man: Good night, Akron. [02:02:16] Ronnie Jams: Quiet on set. [02:02:17] Speaker F: I now have two loves in my life. Big city living and a voodoo woman named Phyllis. [02:02:25] Ronnie Jams: I didn't think we'd be getting into Brad Pitt's ass. [02:02:29] Kenny Thunder: I can't even say I didn't think we'd be getting into Brad Pitt's ass. [02:02:34] Ronnie Jams: Yeah, didn't think we'd get in there. [02:02:36] Kenny Thunder: We talk a lot of analingus on this show. [02:02:38] Ronnie Jams: So put your right foot in. [02:02:40] Kenny Thunder: In. [02:02:40] Ronnie Jams: And take your right foot out. Then put your right foot in and shut the hell up. Because it's not time for the Hokey Pokey. It's time for the Burning River Sportscat. [02:02:49] Speaker F: Motorboat. [02:02:49] Ronnie Jams: You play the motorboat? [02:02:52] Speaker F: You motorboat? [02:02:53] Ronnie Jams: Son of a. You old seal. [02:02:55] Kenny Thunder: Are you. You know, I was thinking during that interview. [02:02:57] The Bone Man: What? [02:02:57] Speaker F: What were you thinking? [02:02:58] Ronnie Jams: Nothing. Because you don't have thoughts because you're a brainless idiot. [02:03:01] Kenny Thunder: Wow. [02:03:02] Speaker F: My name is Uhtred. [02:03:04] Ronnie Jams: Son of Uhtred, by the way. I want my foreskin back. It doesn't matter what you think. [02:03:09] Kenny Thunder: Women's Guide to. To Anal Sex, and it was the second edition. Who makes that second edition? [02:03:15] The Bone Man: The weather outside is weather. [02:03:17] Ronnie Jams: The other one, the finger. The finger eating food. Fingers. Oh, my God. My ass is full of she. Everywhere. [02:03:25] The Bone Man: Yes. [02:03:26] Kenny Thunder: Ejaculate all over my body and my genitals. [02:03:28] The Bone Man: Yes. [02:03:29] Ronnie Jams: Oh, no.
