[00:00:47] Speaker B: Happy Media.
[00:01:11] Speaker A: It'S time. Time for the Burning River Sportscast. Another week, another loss, this one looking more futile than many before it. At the same time, the face of your franchise says he wants to stay in Cleveland, but only if they are focused on winning. Here's what we don't know. How many of his teammates feel the same? One thing we do know for sure is that this front office is focused on a lot of other things. A new stadium, the Sean Watson's contract, Taylor Swift concerts, ticket sales, practice facility upgrades, parking revenue, a new hotel notice. None of these things included winning. It begs the question, what is the top priority for this front office? What makes them tick? Are the Browns just one more page in an ever growing portfolio bolstered by stolen rebates for Jimmy and D to brag to their friends that they own? Is it satiating the ego of Andrew Barry because he's got an education and connections in the business? Where else is he supposed to work? McDonald's? Does Kevin just not have the skills necessary to show off his perfectly manicured salt and pepper beard on tv unless it's on an NFL sideline?
Because we can all see. We watch it every week. We've watched it for years. From front office hires to personnel moves right down to play calling. Jesus, we've got a kicker on this team who hasn't made a field goal in four weeks. Yet somehow, some way, he's still collecting payroll from the Haslam Sports Group. This franchise just doesn't value, doesn't prioritize the product on the field. And they haven't for some time. And we can all see that the emperor is not wearing any clothes. We'll break it all down for you next on the Burning River Sportscast.
[00:02:40] Speaker B: There's only one super villain in the Sonic series that I can recall and it's Dr. Robotnik. Or as we called him when we were younger, Dr. Robotnik Buttnik.
[00:02:49] Speaker C: Nice butt stick.
[00:02:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:54] Speaker C: First off, I need an airplane. So I would purchase an airplane. Full crew.
[00:02:59] Speaker B: You don't hide your wife, hide your kids. You're gonna bring Your wife?
[00:03:02] Speaker C: Yeah. I like. That's my favorite thing to do is hang out with my wife.
[00:03:05] Speaker A: So. Played by none other than Canadian soap superstar.
A lot of S's there. William DeVry.
[00:03:14] Speaker B: It's just been bad. I. I don't even have words. I legitimately don't. It's just bad, is all I can say. Bad, bad, bad. It's really bad.
[00:03:21] Speaker C: Vomiting and probably crapping their pants.
[00:03:24] Speaker A: It would take 19, 000 years to reach the closest star in our solar system. Wow.
[00:03:30] Speaker B: I can do it.
[00:03:33] Speaker D: I tell everybody I'm either going to have a cane or a wheelchair when I go to the super bowl.
[00:03:38] Speaker B: Whenever that we don't. We're not sponsored by bitcoin, but if you would like to invest, it's up to you.
[00:03:44] Speaker A: I think bitcoin's a company.
It's an asset.
We're sponsored by the US dollar.
Welcome in to the Burning River Sportscast, presented by the fine folks at Tapping, whatever that was. I'm Kenny Thunder, joined today by a man who you definitely don't want to see without his clothes unless a micropene is your thing. He's red hot, right?
[00:04:12] Speaker B: Come on, come on.
[00:04:13] Speaker A: Bonjour to our board, man. Today he's a skeleton of style. He's the big bone, man. Bone. Did you hear the Blossom is hosting a concert this summer for just 45 cents.
[00:04:24] Speaker C: That's pretty cheap.
[00:04:25] Speaker A: It's gonna be a huge show. It's 50 Cent featuring Nickelback.
[00:04:30] Speaker B: And it continues. The dad jokes continue.
[00:04:33] Speaker A: Back to red hot. Where can our listeners find the dopest dope they ever heard on podcast? The number one ranked football podcast and all the good pods, as well as the unofficial podcast of Cleveland Brownsbackers everywhere.

Before I get to what's in today's show, you mentioned Kevin Stefanski's Stefanik, as we call him on this show from now on, Kevin Stefanik's salt and pepper beard. And it just made me laugh because I was like, is this what the Browns do to people? Like, it's like. It's like the White House. Like, you go in and he came in and you look at his. His pictures from when he first started with the Browns. His hair was dark and everything. Barack Obama, he looks like he's like 14 years older now. It's only been like three and a half.
Yeah. So I don't know. But yeah. Today on the show, this is what you can look forward to. Dog of the week, division roundup around the NFL Hot 3 interview with the Brownsbackers group. This week, the Sarasota Brownsbackers king of the north gassed up week 17 preview and oh, so much more. So strap in because you have two more weeks of this absol show and we're going to be right here helping you make it through because we're the Burning river sports guest and we're awesome.
Now let's get things started with the burning of a new story of the week.
All right, guys, it's a big story.
Sonic 3 dropped this past weekend, made 60 million in its opening weekend, destroying Mufasa, the Lion King spinoff. I know you guys were excited about that.
Yeah. That came in at 35 million, so almost doubled them up. But that's not the story.
[00:06:44] Speaker A: No. What is the story?
[00:06:45] Speaker B: The story is Jim Carrey. Kenny, tell us about Jimmy.
[00:06:49] Speaker A: I will tell you about Jimmy.
[00:06:50] Speaker B: So Jim Carrey, not the Jimmy that we all. That we all love to hate in Cleveland.
[00:06:54] Speaker A: So Jim Carrey fans, remember, retired from acting in 2022, not that long ago, essentially said, yeah, he was retiring. He was serious. He said, you know, the only way he would come back is if the Angels were to bring some sort of script that's written in gold ink that says to me that it's going to be really important for people to see. I might continue down the road, but I am taking a break. I really like my quiet life and putting paint on canvas and really love my spiritual life and feel like this is something that you might never hear another celebrity, as long as time exists say, I have enough. I have. I've done enough and I am enough.
[00:07:31] Speaker B: Noble, honorable.
[00:07:33] Speaker A: He also went on pretty decently long rant about just being disenfranchised with Hollywood. This was post the Chris Rock Will Smith debacle at the awards show.
And he felt like when Will Smith was then honored by a standing ovation, that that just kind of encapsulated like the, the just absolute like spineless nature of where Hollywood is today. That like you can get up on stage, slap another man face, no consequences, not be escorted out and then get a standing ovation 10 minutes later. Like it just, just was like, this is the whole point that Hollywood is in there was just so out of touch.
[00:08:09] Speaker B: There was some serious like, like PR repair after that where they were like, ah, we kicked. No, he's, he's, he's out. Will Smith's out for a while. But it was like post the fact, like it wasn't like it happened real time. It took him a minute to be like, maybe that wasn't good.
[00:08:23] Speaker A: Yes. But anyway, the story is now we have Sonic 3. Apparently the script that was written in gold ink from the angels was the return of Dr. Robotnik.
[00:08:33] Speaker C: You've convinced me, I gotta see this movie.
[00:08:35] Speaker A: That was the role that spoke to it.
[00:08:37] Speaker B: I mean, I agree, I gotta go see it now because I have to know. And here's some backstory for you. I haven't seen Sonic 1 or 2, so I'm gonna be really fucking surprised.
[00:08:48] Speaker A: What happens in.
[00:08:50] Speaker B: I don't know. It's gotta be good though.
[00:08:52] Speaker A: But it's also now recently come out that he purchased a bunch of things and he really needs the money.
[00:08:59] Speaker B: That's the, that's the line, huh?
[00:09:01] Speaker A: That's the line.
[00:09:02] Speaker B: So do we think, is he actually broke or do we think this is like rich people broke, where he's like, I got a certain lifestyle that I gotta sustain and I need to do one or two more movies so that I can keep living that lifestyle.
[00:09:12] Speaker A: I mean, he's coming back to play Dr. Robotnik.
[00:09:15] Speaker B: It is only the second film or the second series, I should say, where he's played the same character in multiple films.
[00:09:21] Speaker A: Think about the classic films that this man has made.
[00:09:24] Speaker C: Ace Ventura.
[00:09:25] Speaker A: And the one that he comes back for after he's retired and waiting for the gods and the angels to speak to him is Dr. Robotnik. I would venture to say, like, he was pretty broke.
[00:09:36] Speaker B: How much is he getting paid? Like, I gotta know how much did he make for that movie?
[00:09:39] Speaker A: I don't know. I mean, I know that 60 million.
[00:09:42] Speaker B: Sure. That's a lot of money.
That's not a lot of money in one weekend, to be honest. Sonic 1, I mean, movies, the top, like obviously it's not a top movie, but like the top movies nowadays make like a bill trillion dollars, so.
[00:09:54] Speaker C: But no, that's over the course of multiple weekends.
[00:09:56] Speaker B: I understand, but usually I Mean, a theatrical run is typically about like two months, right?
[00:10:01] Speaker A: So think about this, think about the. Sonic 1 opened at 58 million. Sonic 2 opened at 72 million. Sonic 3 is now opened at 60. Sonic 2 at worldwide box office made over $320 million, which I guess it's solid. It's more than solid. It's like one of the top grossing, like kids cartoon films of all time. I mean, how, like.
[00:10:22] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess. I guess when you give the context of the genre and everything else, that's.
[00:10:26] Speaker A: The movies you're talking about that reached like a billion are like Avatar, Titanic and Avatar. Like, and that's pretty much the list. Like, if you make $200 million movie, depending on your budget, really, like, that's pretty successful.
[00:10:38] Speaker B: What was the budget for Sonic 3?
[00:10:39] Speaker A: I don't know what the budget is, but I mean, obviously they made three of them and a lot of it's cartoon animation.
[00:10:45] Speaker B: So I did see a thing this week about like Sonic the Sonic franchise in general. They said they accidentally stumbled on a genius way to market their films. Because if you don't remember the very first Sonic that came out when it. When the trailer, the original trailer dropped for Sonic, the thing's eyes were all up and weird and there was a huge backlash. They didn't.
[00:11:10] Speaker A: But they're like, it was really bad.
[00:11:12] Speaker B: They said it was the best thing that ever happened for the movie because the franchise actually listened to the fans.
[00:11:16] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:11:17] Speaker B: Went back and reanimated him to look like the. The video game character.
[00:11:21] Speaker A: Did you see the pictures of it?
[00:11:22] Speaker B: And then people flocked to it in droves. They're like, yes, you listen to us. Oh, it was creepy as man.
[00:11:28] Speaker A: It was really bad.
[00:11:29] Speaker B: It was weird.
[00:11:31] Speaker A: Budget, by the way, was for this film was 122 million. So they got away.
[00:11:35] Speaker B: Still haven't made their money back, but.
[00:11:37] Speaker A: But they've made enough on opening weekend to issue the fact that a fourth film is being developed. So.
[00:11:43] Speaker C: Damn.
[00:11:44] Speaker B: Dr. Robotnik 4.
[00:11:45] Speaker A: They're confident that they're gonna exceed the budget.
[00:11:47] Speaker B: So Jim Carrey's in for another paycheck. So I guess the long story, I.
[00:11:51] Speaker A: Mean, there' only Jim Carrey is unretired.
[00:11:54] Speaker B: Right. There's only one super villain in the Sonic series that I can recall, and it's Dr. Robotnik, or as we called him when we were younger, Dr. Robotnik.
Nice butt stick. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Written in gold.
[00:12:10] Speaker A: I guess this is just one of those, like, cautionary tales of like, be careful what you say in public.
[00:12:15] Speaker B: Yeah. Especially when you're really, really famous. I don't know. One more thing before we get to the Browns. Let me remind everybody. Call the Burning Sportscast. I take.
Do we have any hot take hotlines?
[00:12:27] Speaker A: We don't.
[00:12:27] Speaker B: We don't. All right, well, don't forget to call and leave your hot takes on the hot take hotline. Remember, these are hot takes. We want hot takes.
[00:12:33] Speaker A: We want hot takes. We want hot takes.
[00:12:35] Speaker B: 3-3022-7808-0330-2278-080-330-2278-080330-22788. Call now. Operators are not standing by, but we will put your message on the air and talk about it. It's gonna be a good time. Oh, boy. And if you're looking for the weekly recap, you've come to the wrong podcast platform. You are watching or listening on. And look for our live episode from Sunday night after the game.
[00:13:03] Speaker A: I'm new. I don't know what to do.
[00:13:05] Speaker B: But with that, let's get into the Burning River Sportscast Dog of the week.
Doesn't matter, man. You gotta play tough people in the National Football League.
[00:13:18] Speaker A: You gotta be ready. And we gotta be the dogs that we are every time we step on there on Sunday and be ready to attack. And don't stop until we're in that locker room.
[00:13:31] Speaker B: All right? So this week on our live show, we nominated the following Browns players for dog of the week. Kenny, who'd you have?
[00:13:37] Speaker A: Mr. Mike Hall. Michael. Michael. Michael. Michael.
[00:13:40] Speaker B: I love that his name is just his name again.
[00:13:42] Speaker A: Michael.
[00:13:42] Speaker B: Mike Hall. Michael.
[00:13:43] Speaker A: Mike Hall.
[00:13:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
Big Mike. I nominated Jerome Ford and Bone Najoku. David Najoku, he phoned that one in because he was out saving the world. Yeah. But after the fan vote that was conducted on our socials today, this week's Burning River Sportscast dog of the week is.
[00:14:05] Speaker A: Mike Hall, Jr. Yeah.
[00:14:09] Speaker B: Mike Hall Jr. I think this week, first sack. He's got one sack now.
[00:14:14] Speaker A: Got one sack more than he had.
[00:14:17] Speaker B: No, I mean, he actually. He's making strides as far as the younger players. A bright spot here as we close out a terrible, terrible season. Five total tackles, three solo tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, one QB hit.
[00:14:31] Speaker A: I think Bone called out a week or two ago that he was making like he was a pressure.
[00:14:34] Speaker C: He's flashing.
[00:14:35] Speaker A: Yeah. Starting to see some.
[00:14:37] Speaker B: Some good plays, which, I mean, yeah, it's tough, you know, we'll never know the full story of what happened with his domestic dispute issues and everything earlier in the year.
But it's tough to put together a solid rookie season when you're dealing with all kinds of off the field stuff.
[00:14:53] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, and what I said, like I said on Sunday, which is like, we're close to the off season now. Right. So, like, if this is to continue to be a problem, if Mike hall is going to continue to be a problem, we should know before the start of next season.
[00:15:04] Speaker B: Right.
[00:15:04] Speaker A: Like, if he gets himself into trouble again this offseason, you probably have to cut ties. But assuming that, like keep your nose clean. Assuming that was like an anomaly and that was just something, you know, look, we all find ourselves in weird places sometimes and make bad decisions.
Not that I'm excusing what he did, but.
But hopefully it was just a, you know, one of those moments in his life that he wants to forget and moves on from it and continues to be a good player for this franchise.
[00:15:29] Speaker B: Yeah. So once Again, Mike Hall Jr. This week's Burning sportscast dog of the week.
And in brother, and in brother news, Brother Brown's news. In other Browns news, the Browns apparently hate Jameis Winston. Like, I just got to throw that out there because in a surprise move that not many people caught because it was like last second before the game started, he was officially demoted to third string quarterback and I believe was listed as their emergency quarterback, not even on like the active roster.
And Bailey Zappi was named as the backup going into this game.
[00:16:00] Speaker A: They don't want to win.
[00:16:02] Speaker B: No.
[00:16:02] Speaker A: That's the thing.
[00:16:03] Speaker B: No. And, and I feel like what is the point of that other than what you're saying? Because in the event that DTR gets hurt, which he's dealing with a calf injury, which we all know, thank God, there's hope for this week.
But he's dealing with a calf injury now. And if Bailey Zappy would have came in, how would they have explained that away? Would they have been. Oh, well, it's just like one of those clerical things like where we had to like, I'm like, I don't have.
[00:16:27] Speaker A: Any against Bailey Zappy. Bailey Zappy's actually got a decent body of work in the NFL. But like, James obviously knows this offense better because he's been in it all year.
[00:16:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:16:35] Speaker A: So if you're trying to win a football game, who are the two gives you a better chance to win.
[00:16:39] Speaker B: Yeah. And I just, it's just crazy to me because don't get me wrong, I, I don't like all the interceptions that Jameis Winston throws, but when he was playing, it was fun to Watch this football team.
[00:16:50] Speaker A: He at least moved the offense.
[00:16:52] Speaker B: Yeah. Like. And I know we lost every week still, so the outcome ended up being the same. But with DTR on the field, it's. It is borderline physically unwatchable. Like, I'm watching the game Sunday and I just. At no point was I engaged whatsoever. This is so horrible.
[00:17:11] Speaker A: It was one of the worst Browns games I've ever watched.
[00:17:13] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, the offense is putrid. And I'm sorry, like, we talked about it on Sunday. What is DTR doing on an NFL roster at this point? And again, he's, you know, whatever. I don't. I don't hate the person dtr. I'm not saying that at all. He's actually a pretty good kid. He's done a lot of charity work around Cleveland with the Browns doing all kinds of good things. But on the field, I'm sorry, dtr, but you ass.
[00:17:38] Speaker A: Like, it's like we said, like, Cody Kessler was a nice kid. I wanted him to be successful. It just wasn't in the cards for him. Deshaun Kaiser was a fine human. He wasn't a good football player. DTR is not a good football player.
[00:17:49] Speaker B: And I'll just say it again.
[00:17:51] Speaker A: Better than 99.9% of the population.
[00:17:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:17:54] Speaker A: Yeah. But in the NFL, is he good enough to play with those guys? Like, no.
[00:17:57] Speaker B: And I'll say it again. My benchmark from this point forward is DeSean Watson. As soon as you play worse than DeSean Watson, you're done. Yeah.
[00:18:05] Speaker A: You're done. I don't see anymore.
[00:18:06] Speaker B: I don't need to see it.
We dealt with that enough. We don't need any more of it.
[00:18:10] Speaker A: It was an absolute shit show. The guy wasn't seeing open receivers. He wasn't in making accurate throws. The thing that I noticed, especially about DTR, is he lacks the.
The ability to throw to the second level. The throws where you have to thr for like a linebacker and put a little touch on the pass and drop it in the bucket. Like, he doesn't do it. He doesn't have skill. He only has the quick read. Rifle it to a guy that's his only. It's his only tool in the box.
[00:18:39] Speaker C: Check down to a back or check it down to the tight end.
[00:18:41] Speaker A: Yeah. And that's all he's got.
[00:18:43] Speaker B: And here's the deal. We. We talked about at length this season about Deshaun Watson not being able to. To find open receivers. Like, well, DTR is blind. Yeah. But DTR takes this to a whole new Level. Like. Like, I know that you. That we. About this off air.
[00:18:58] Speaker A: And.
[00:18:58] Speaker B: And there were so many times during that game that the. Even the broadcast, like, paused. It was like, there's literally like, take your pick. Anybody's open. Anybody. Literally throw it to anybody. And he pulled it down and ran the ball.
[00:19:10] Speaker A: Yeah. And he is athletic and can make plays with his feet, which is fine, but you just can't survive that way very long. Like. Like DTR is who a lot of people thought Lamar Jackson was going to be.
[00:19:23] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:19:23] Speaker A: That. That was his only skill. He was primarily a running back and couldn't throw the ball. DTR is a fine runner out and open space. He's fast, he's elusive, but he can't throw the ball.
[00:19:32] Speaker B: You know what I think the funniest part about this whole conversation is?
[00:19:35] Speaker C: Why are we talking about dtr?
[00:19:37] Speaker B: Yes. We're the only team in the NFL that, like, he got drafted, what, the fifth round. Like, like, this is the only team that was like, yeah, we think he might be the future.
Like, nobody else thought that.
[00:19:50] Speaker A: Yeah, nobody. Well, and the thing is, we've seen him long enough now to know that he's not.
[00:19:55] Speaker B: Definitely not.
[00:19:55] Speaker A: The guy's touchdown interception ratio is one touchdown to nine picks. Yeah, that's worse than James's 13 touchdowns to 12 picks this year.
[00:20:03] Speaker B: Which brings me back to my point of this whole. Part of it is the Browns hate Jameis Winston. So at this point, I honestly don't think he's coming back next year as the bridge quarterback.
[00:20:11] Speaker A: You know what? And like, I continue, like, again, as a player and as a person. We'll continue to heat praise on this guy even though. Even though he needs to be delivered from pick sixes and fixes and picks in general. Who was the guy that was coaching him up on the sideline? Every time the camera panned over to dtr, sitting on the bench in his jacket, trying to warm up, Jameis Winston was in his face with an iPad going, hey, here's the read you gotta make.
[00:20:34] Speaker B: This is what you got. But here's your keys.
[00:20:36] Speaker A: On this play, I mean, after being demoted and the way that they've. They've pulled the rug out from under him in a position when he was playing relatively well, I mean, outside of the picks. Right. Was playing pretty well. Was still the guy that was like, I'm a part of the team. I'm a part of the locker room. I'm gonna help this kid out as I'm gonna do my part to try and help this team win. Even though I'm getting no love on the back.
[00:20:58] Speaker B: No. All the time. When the team is 3 and 12 and your captain on the defensive side, a generational player is talking about how if you don't get your together, he's leaving the team, and rightfully so. I'm not. I'm not dogging Miles Garrett. He. I think he's perfectly.
[00:21:11] Speaker A: He's earned that.
[00:21:12] Speaker B: He's validated in everything that he said. However, like, that's the state of the Browns right now, and you've got Jameis Winston over there on the sideline coach this young kid, and that's the guy that they're going to. They're just going to let him, you know, ship him off and not even keep him as a backup or anything next year. And it's just. It's. It's sad.
[00:21:29] Speaker A: I'm looking at him like, where's Kevin? Where's your quarterbacks? Coach Jamis is the only guy talking to this guy. When he comes out the field, he's.
[00:21:35] Speaker B: Probably get his beard trimmed to make sure it's perfect just for men.
[00:21:39] Speaker A: He had to get died at halftime.
[00:21:40] Speaker B: Yeah. I don't know. And then real quick here, we mentioned it on the live show last night, but I just want to mention it one more time. For anybody that might not have caught that, if you didn't, you're wrong. Go back and listen to it. Listen.
Miles Garrett, with his sack of Joe Burrow in this game, became the only player in NFL history with 100 sacks before the age of 29.
He was the fourth fastest to get there as far as number of games played to get 100 sacks, but the only one in NFL history to have 100 sacks before the age of 29.
[00:22:12] Speaker A: So the youngest.
[00:22:13] Speaker B: Yeah. So big, big milestone for Miles Gary.
Hopefully he can get a few more before the season ends, but at this point, I don't even know what he's playing for besides, like, trying out for other teams. So. Yeah, yeah.
[00:22:25] Speaker A: Look, I don't blame the guy. I mean, we're. We're frustrated with the fact that this team is not putting a product on the field that can win football games. A guy like that has to be frustrated as well.
[00:22:36] Speaker B: Yeah. So, yeah, no more Browns, dude.
It's the Burger Grouper Throwdown Hoedown. Yeah.
All right, all right. That's enough dancing, guys.
I know you just got started.
[00:23:10] Speaker A: I was just getting. I was just getting warmed up, guys.
[00:23:13] Speaker B: About to show you my guys at home. When. When you hear that music, you start dancing. That's what we do.
[00:23:17] Speaker A: It's dance time.
[00:23:18] Speaker B: Yeah, it's dance time. We got we some lev.
[00:23:20] Speaker A: Take a break from the Browns.
[00:23:21] Speaker B: Take a break from the Browns and just dance it out. Dance it out.
[00:23:23] Speaker A: Dance it out.
[00:23:26] Speaker B: Sorry, miss. Ms. Rachel.
[00:23:27] Speaker A: In my head, you know, I was thinking the office. When Andy Bernard comes down. Clear. Clear out the warehouse. I need the. I need the space.
I need the space. I gotta dance. I'm dancing out.
[00:23:37] Speaker B: Well, I actually sang the Ms. Rachel song that my daughter listens to all the time. But anyways, next up here, the division.
All right, there were only two games this week as the whole division was just playing each other.
Baltimore playing with each other. Baltimore hosted and beat the Steelers to tie their record as the season comes down to the wire for these two teams in the division crown.
We were all right in this. We all saw this happening. Baltimore took care of business. Same record.
It's going to be crazy these next two weeks. And. And Baltimore has the more favorable schedule, so, I mean, they play the Browns.
[00:24:32] Speaker A: So just saying, anytime the Browns are on your schedule, it's favorable.
[00:24:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. And then obviously the Browns lost to the Bengals. We were all right in that one as well. I think we've all given up on picking the Browns to win anything. And so for the AFC north standings are as follows. Pittsburgh on top due to a tiebreaker at 10 and 5. Baltimore is also at 10 and 5.
Cincinnati at 7 and 8 and still barely holding on to playoff hopes there.
[00:24:56] Speaker A: Cincinnati sucks. They're Kentucky. But, like, I'll give them credit, like, there was a point in time when our records were almost. Almost the same.
[00:25:02] Speaker B: They're not anymore.
[00:25:03] Speaker A: And they're going to finish at least respectable.
[00:25:06] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. And then Cleveland obviously trailing the entire division at 3 and 12.
We legitimately have as many losses as Cincinnati and Baltimore combined. Almost.
So just.
[00:25:20] Speaker A: We have more losses than Pittsburgh and Baltimore combined.
[00:25:23] Speaker B: Yeah. That's wild. Anyways, current King of the north standings, Bone has run away with this thing. He's basically going to be King of the north this year. Bone, 31:19. Right now, I am in second place at 27 and 23. And Kenny finally made it back to 500.
[00:25:38] Speaker A: I'm back, baby.
[00:25:39] Speaker B: 25 and 25. So tight race into the last couple weeks here.
[00:25:44] Speaker A: So tight.
[00:25:46] Speaker B: But next up, let's get into around the nf.
All right, so I just got one story for you. There's a bunch of things that happen around the NFL, but I don't really care about all of them. I have one story that I care about because it was dope. The Lions this week ran the stumble Rooski to perfection. Yeah. Did you guys see this thing?
[00:26:16] Speaker A: It was pretty wild.
[00:26:17] Speaker B: So just to paint the picture for everybody at home, basically it was designed to look like a run play. And Jared Goff came out and fakes like he was falling, handing the ball off. The running back fell down. Everybody looked like they were falling down. The whole sideline yelled, fumble, Fumble, fumble.
Got the defense to look up and slipped a receiver behind everybody. And Jared Goff just threw a bomb for a touchdown. I think it was like, what, 30, 40 yards?
[00:26:44] Speaker A: We really need more of this in the NFL.
[00:26:46] Speaker B: We really do.
[00:26:47] Speaker A: Just absolute trickery.
[00:26:49] Speaker B: Good trickery. Not like, let's run the double reverse three times a game.
[00:26:53] Speaker A: Less revers, more like deception.
[00:26:55] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, I agree. And this is like old school, like backyard football type stuff. Like your whole, whole sidelines yelling fumble.
[00:27:02] Speaker A: Like the annexation of Puerto Rico. Statue of Liberty.
[00:27:05] Speaker B: Yeah, it's. Yeah. So just wanted to talk about this because I love Dan Campbell. I wish we had a Dan Campbell.
[00:27:12] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:27:14] Speaker B: And it's just we couldn't have somebody further from Dan Campbell.
[00:27:20] Speaker A: No.
[00:27:21] Speaker B: Like, he's so buttoned up and like, I'm analytics and I do all these things. So sophisticated. Except for I run the reverse three times a game. Not anymore, though. We don't even have the athletes to do that anymore. They tried it with Canary's Tony and get fucked again. So.
[00:27:34] Speaker A: You know, it's funny you mentioned analytics, because I'm actually. You know what? Like, I've been like, I'm more like old school football guy.
[00:27:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:27:41] Speaker A: But like hell, I'm in favor of analytics at this point because there's no way analytics tells you to put DTR on the field. There's no way analytics tells you to put Dustin Hopkins on the field.
[00:27:50] Speaker B: No.
[00:27:50] Speaker A: What numbers could you possib contrive and come up with? They would be like, let's keep paying this kicker. Let's put this guy, who's got one touchdown and nine picks on the field as our starting quarterback. I mean, analytics has to, at the very least, wait, rule those possibilities out.
[00:28:04] Speaker B: That's not good.
[00:28:06] Speaker A: No, it's not. I mean, at the very least, it would have to at least eliminate the worst possible outcomes. Right.
[00:28:13] Speaker B: You know, I thought he was showing some real promise and he deserves another shot to start this week. Yeah, the sarcasm is dripping there. Dripping. But that'll take us to the hot three. In your lungs, I'm the smoke in the sky I'm the gas in the tank Gonna turn it up, turn it up I'm hot to the touch Burning up I'm hot Hot to the twitch it's not time for the hot three.
[00:28:37] Speaker A: It's not.
[00:28:37] Speaker B: Boom. Go back.
[00:28:38] Speaker C: Okay, okay.
[00:28:42] Speaker B: All right. One more story around the end. Not really one more story, but while we were on the. The subject of the Lions, what's your guys like Dr. Bowl matchup this year?
And it made me think of it because I really want the Lions in the Super Bowl. I've talked about a couple times before. My dad is a Lions fan. Has been his whole life. He's from Michigan.
He doesn't like the University of Michigan because they suck ass, but he. He likes Detroit, and I'd like to see them in Super Bowl. I don't know who against, but speaking.
[00:29:11] Speaker A: Of Michigan, how shitty is Kurt Herbstreet, son?
[00:29:15] Speaker B: What an asshole.
[00:29:16] Speaker A: I mean, to go to Michigan if your dad played it.
[00:29:18] Speaker B: All right, I'm sorry, I take it back. You're like an 18 year old kid. You're not an asshole.
[00:29:21] Speaker A: But I mean, I get that, like, maybe you weren't a good enough player to get to be a player at Ohio State.
[00:29:27] Speaker B: That's exactly what happened. Because his other son's been riding the bench his entire career at Ohio State. I don't know if you saw him. Panda. Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins.
[00:29:34] Speaker A: Kirk.
[00:29:34] Speaker B: Herb Street's oldest. I think it's his oldest son. He's a senior there, and he's literally sat the bench at Ohio State his whole career.
[00:29:41] Speaker A: Yeah, he was in a hoodie.
[00:29:43] Speaker B: Yeah, that's because he doesn't play.
[00:29:45] Speaker A: But, like, seriously though, I just, like, it just feels like disrespectful, even just to your dad.
[00:29:49] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:29:50] Speaker A: Like, of all the. Of all the schools, like, you're going to go to Michigan.
[00:29:55] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:29:55] Speaker A: Really.
[00:29:56] Speaker B: And then especially after. After they just lost for the fourth time in a row to Michigan. And it's just weird timing. Every. And Kirk. Herb street, also in this game, pissed me off. I was about ready to jump through the tv.
[00:30:08] Speaker A: Playoff game.
[00:30:09] Speaker B: Yeah, because the whole, like, last part of the playoff game, he went on like a rant for like four minutes and he was talking about how Ryan Day shouldn't be fired and only the lunatic Fring of the fan base want Ryan Day fired. And I. I took offense to that because I'm a pretty grounded fan. But I also believe in the fact that part of being an Ohio State coach is you need to beat the team up north.
[00:30:32] Speaker A: And it was weird.
[00:30:33] Speaker B: That's a must.
[00:30:33] Speaker A: It was weird that he Called out first take specifically, too, because, like, he shares a network with them. Like, those are his co workers.
[00:30:40] Speaker B: Was it. Was it planned? Was like a shoot? Like, now I'm going to go on their show.
[00:30:43] Speaker A: I mean, like, they talked about it today and they were like, I mean, shut up. Basically, they were like, you can have. Like, that doesn't make you crazy because you would think that Ryan Day, who can't beat Michigan, should maybe be replaced. Like.
[00:30:57] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:30:57] Speaker A: You talk about the oldest rivalry in college sports. Like, there's a lot of passionate, you know, feelings on that whole rivalry on both sides. So, like to call people the lunatic fringe.
[00:31:09] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:31:09] Speaker A: I just uncalled for.
[00:31:11] Speaker B: I was like, that's, that's insane to me, that.
[00:31:13] Speaker A: But I'm also like, your son committed to Michigan. Like, get your own house. Order.
[00:31:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:31:17] Speaker C: I mean, they literally all grew up in Columbus, didn't they?
[00:31:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I think they lived there. I think they were chased out. He lives in Tennessee now.
[00:31:24] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:31:24] Speaker A: I think this family, like, actually was getting death threats from, like, Buckeyes fans because. Because of his position as an analyst and his, his desire to, like, be objective and, you know, talk about college football. But I think his family was like, getting death threats in the end. Wow.
[00:31:41] Speaker B: Just. Just a quick search here just in case anybody doesn't know, you know, why, why, why, why, Kirk, Herb street said, says that he went to Ohio State for five years. He never beat Michigan. Well, yeah, that's why you're saying that. Because you can't beat them either.
No. That you lose your job as an Ohio State coach if you can't beat Michigan. Like, that's, that comes with the territory and you sign up for that. So I was just pissed off of this. I didn't even hear what you guys were saying because I was just. I'm just.
[00:32:06] Speaker A: I'm just. I'm just angry that his son committed to Michigan. I mean, if you're good enough to play in Michigan, you're good enough to play at a lot of different programs. And it's just like one of those things. Like, you just don't. You just don't do that. You grew up in Ohio. Your dad played Ohio State. Like, just what a slap in the face and just what a, like, move.
[00:32:22] Speaker B: Yeah, sure.
[00:32:22] Speaker A: Like, I don't know the kid, but, like, what a move.
[00:32:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Closest Kirk, her straight got 13, 13 tie in 1992.
[00:32:29] Speaker A: I think Kirk's also maybe clout chasing a little bit.
[00:32:33] Speaker B: Yeah, probably because.
[00:32:35] Speaker A: Because he was. He was like the college football guy. And like, now that saban's there and like McAfee is like this fire brand that he all over everything.
Jealous. I think there's some of that that like he feels like, oh like they're like taking his. His air time and stuff. And speaking of McAfee, did you.
[00:32:54] Speaker B: Did you hear we're going down a rabbit hole right now. Let's go.
[00:32:57] Speaker A: Did you hear the McAfee guys during the. Cuz they did basically like the Manning cast during the Buckeyes game.
[00:33:03] Speaker B: No, but that sounds fantastic.
[00:33:04] Speaker A: Which was like the Pat McAfee Show. But they like commentated it instead of like Herp street and Fowler.
They were talking about the nut, the big nut. They were like, big nut just busted his nut all over their face. Tennessee spaces. And like all these people were pissed off because they were like, you can't say it on tv. And I'm like, if you tune in to watch the Pat McAfee version of the playoff game, like you kind of are getting what you're getting. Like it wasn't.
[00:33:30] Speaker B: I mean it's a well known brand.
[00:33:31] Speaker A: Curbstreet didn't say that on national television. It was the McAfee guys on a separate ESPN channel. But there was a bunch of people pissed off at it because. Which it was Boston Connor. I think he was like, they just busted their nut all over Tennessee.
[00:33:44] Speaker B: That sounds about right. That sounds about right.
[00:33:47] Speaker A: Anyway, who's your dream super bowl match?
[00:33:48] Speaker B: Yeah, I was going to say we got really far away from where we were going with this, but dream super bowl matchup. I didn't even give a full matchup. I just said I want the Lions in it because I don't care who they play. I want the Lions to win the Super Bowl. Pick another team, you guys go and I'll come back to it.
[00:34:01] Speaker A: Lions.
[00:34:01] Speaker C: I think Lions, Bills would be really cool this year for obvious reasons.
Buccaneers vs. We talked about this earlier. I did Kansas City in Baker beats Patty Mahomes.
[00:34:13] Speaker A: I'd like to see the Buccaneers play the Texans. I'd like to be cool. I mean if the Texans make the super bowl, be like one of those cool little.
[00:34:20] Speaker C: A little Buckeye versus sooner, C.J.
[00:34:22] Speaker A: Stroud.
[00:34:23] Speaker B: Basically anybody but Kansas City is what we're saying.
[00:34:25] Speaker A: Well, but. Well, you also have Kansas. You also have the Steelers and the Ravens in the mix. So it's like, do you really want to see one of those two teams? No, I could see Baltimore being there.
[00:34:33] Speaker B: I will say this, but I don't want it as much as I don't want Kansas City in The Super Bowl. It'd be pretty wild to see a team three piece. That'd be insane.
No, I. Out of everybody in the field right now, I would say I'd go Detroit versus either Buffalo or Houston is who I would like because CJ Stroud Detroit.
[00:34:55] Speaker C: How about Detroit beating Kansas City in the Super Bowl? How badass would that be?
[00:34:58] Speaker B: That would be. I would sign up for that.
[00:35:01] Speaker A: That would be dope.
[00:35:01] Speaker B: Yeah, that would be good.
[00:35:03] Speaker A: It would also be cool to see like the commanders make a little run here just given like, I love Jason. The story of like the turnaround of that Franchi make it in shipping things.
[00:35:12] Speaker B: They're not in yet.
[00:35:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean they're in hunt, but there's only. There's only I think three clinched spots in the NFC right now. So. Yeah, there are Lions, Eagles, Vikings are the ones in. So every. Everybody else is in the hunt basically that's not been eliminated.
[00:35:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:35:29] Speaker A: But yeah, I would be cool. I would. I would like to see Buccaneers, Texans. I'd like to see Baker there and I think that I would like to see the Texans there because they're not the Bills, the Chiefs, the Steelers and the Ravens.
[00:35:41] Speaker B: They're not any of the teams that I hate and bone. What did you say?
[00:35:46] Speaker C: I might. I like the Lions versus Kansas City. I think that'd be fun.
[00:35:50] Speaker A: That might be the most entertaining.
[00:35:51] Speaker B: With the caveat that the Lions win. Sure.
[00:35:54] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:35:54] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay.
[00:35:55] Speaker C: Yeah. I don't want Kansas City win again.
[00:35:56] Speaker B: I like that.
[00:35:57] Speaker C: But my original was Buffalo, Buffalo, Lions. Just because it's just. Yeah.
[00:36:01] Speaker A: I do like the lion story too. Jared Goff, because, like, he was kind of left for dead.
[00:36:05] Speaker B: There's a lot of that going around the NFL right now. You got, you got like Minnesota.
Yeah.
[00:36:12] Speaker A: Minnesota team.
[00:36:13] Speaker B: Dar.
[00:36:14] Speaker C: Yeah, Minnesota.
[00:36:14] Speaker B: Darnold's quarter. He was left for dead everywhere else. And then he's. He's playing very well this year. Jared Goff, you got big Russell Wilson, who is still washed, still tussling. Yeah, yeah. I mean all these guys, it's. It's great to see these quarterbacks have kind of like a second crack at it. So.
[00:36:32] Speaker A: Even Seattle, Gino Smith.
[00:36:33] Speaker B: Yeah, he's still kicking. He's. I, I think his luster starting to.
[00:36:37] Speaker A: Wear off as good a year this year, but he's still positive. Touchdown interceptions and to throw up close to thousand.
[00:36:42] Speaker B: He's still going to rank in like top half of the league for everything.
[00:36:45] Speaker A: He'S going to throw. He's going to throw like 22, 20 or so touchdowns to like 12 picks and close to 4,000 yards.
[00:36:50] Speaker B: So. Yeah. And now time to get to the hot three.
[00:36:54] Speaker A: All right, I accept.
[00:37:06] Speaker B: All right, guys, in case anyone wasn't paying attention, the Mega Millions is up to almost a billion dollars this week. Yeah, a billion with a B. Yeah.
[00:37:15] Speaker A: It'S going to be the largest Mega Millions jackpot ever. Yeah, the Powerball's been big before and Mega Man's been big too, but I think this is the biggest jackpot ever so far.
[00:37:26] Speaker B: Going to be up around a billion dollars.
[00:37:27] Speaker A: So it's currently, it's currently a 970 million.
[00:37:30] Speaker B: See? You see, he goes out there and fetch. Never mind. Anyways, this week's, this week's Hot 3. What you do if you won the mega Million millions?
Just because I know it's going to go off the real rails real fast. I'm going to start with Kenny.
Kenny, what are your hot three here?
[00:37:49] Speaker A: All right, my number three is the first thing that I do and. Oh, and the caveat, right, is.
[00:37:54] Speaker B: Oh, the caveat is it's a given that you'd pay off all your debts. That's not counted in this. We would all do that. That's probably number one or number two for all of us. Yeah, you're doing that. So that's all taken care of.
[00:38:06] Speaker A: This is just the fun stuff.
[00:38:07] Speaker B: Your bills are taken care of.
[00:38:08] Speaker A: Yeah. First thing I'm doing is buying a 200T yacht. I need a boat with space for another boat in it.
[00:38:16] Speaker B: Oh, you, you have said for a long time that's your dream.
[00:38:18] Speaker A: That's the dream.
[00:38:18] Speaker B: A boat in a boat.
[00:38:19] Speaker A: To have a 200T yacht that has like a garage parking on the boat. For a smaller skiff, like a, you know, like a 25 or 30 foot speedboat. You can like go to like the islands and, and park in the actual.
[00:38:30] Speaker B: Marina and I wrote down for you 200 foot yacht to put other boat in.
[00:38:34] Speaker A: Yeah. And I'm going to sail. I'm going to sail for at least a year. We're just going circle the globe.
[00:38:39] Speaker B: Yeah. What, what could go wrong in a 200 foot yacht?
[00:38:42] Speaker A: I mean, absolutely nothing. Actually, did you see the news this week? There was just a 200 foot luxury yacht that like caught fire.
[00:38:48] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:38:49] Speaker A: And got up in some like 20 foot waves and they had to rescue everybody on board.
[00:38:52] Speaker B: Fire is the worst thing that could happen on a ship.
[00:38:55] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:38:56] Speaker B: Well, that or plague.
[00:38:57] Speaker A: They're just sinking.
[00:38:58] Speaker B: Yeah, well, yeah, I mean that's always.
[00:39:00] Speaker A: Bad, but yeah, you don't want to sink, but yeah, I feel like 200 foot's like a good. Like a good size, like super yacht. Because like 100 is like a little small.
[00:39:07] Speaker B: Like, oh, did you even win a billion dol dollars?
[00:39:10] Speaker A: But like, yeah, yeah. Like, you could spend like a cool 100 mil for a 200 foot yacht.
[00:39:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:39:15] Speaker A: And like, you know, you're not gonna miss it. But I also now have a 200 foot yacht. And you could have like mad parties on a 200 foot yacht because you got cabins. Probably sleep like four.
[00:39:23] Speaker B: What's the yearly cost to run one of Those?
[00:39:25] Speaker A: Probably like $5 million.
[00:39:27] Speaker B: Those are things that you think about when you have a 200 foot.
[00:39:30] Speaker A: Yeah, well, that's why number two is so important, because I'm gonna buy so many bitcoins because I gotta pay for fuel in my super yacht. And that's gonna. That's gonna ensure that I work again because I'm going to have so many bitcoin.
[00:39:43] Speaker B: You're going to buy all the bitcoin?
[00:39:44] Speaker A: Have all the bitcoin.
[00:39:45] Speaker B: Everybody else that owns bitcoin is going to be so excited because they're going to be like, skyrocket to the moon.
[00:39:50] Speaker A: Bitcoin's going to go through the roof.
[00:39:51] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:39:52] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm officially going to be a bitcoin whale. So that'll be fun.
Number one, you know, you got to get back. So my commitment would be, if I want this kind of money, I'm going to buy a brand new Ferrari for all my family and friends.
[00:40:08] Speaker B: Oh, me too.
[00:40:08] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't like you that much.
[00:40:10] Speaker B: I was going to say, I don't know if you consider me a friend.
[00:40:12] Speaker A: Or not, but like, you know, like, you know, we've been through enough together that I feel like, you know, I'm gonna. I'm gonna do something for you and I'm gonna buy a Ferrari. Because if you want to play toy, you're never gonna buy one for yourself, you know, unless you hit the lottery.
[00:40:25] Speaker B: Or if I said ferrari's for everyone, that's what I would.
[00:40:28] Speaker A: Or if you're like, you know what? I need to make some good financial decisions. You can sell the Ferrari and you get a nice chunk back.
[00:40:33] Speaker B: Listeners, if Kenny wins this, we'll also buy an extra one that you can win from us.
[00:40:36] Speaker A: Yeah, we'll give away Ferrari for sure.
[00:40:38] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:40:39] Speaker A: My honorable mention. I don't know. I don't. I know I don't get forks. It's hot three. But I'm gonna say it out there anyways. I'm gonna paying for president.
[00:40:46] Speaker C: Oh, Nice.
[00:40:47] Speaker A: Yeah, nice. I would join the. I would join the 2028 campaign.
[00:40:51] Speaker B: Join instantly and win right away.
[00:40:53] Speaker A: That's right.
[00:40:54] Speaker C: Half a percent of the country.
[00:40:56] Speaker B: You would be like, what is it, the Avengers? When he says, take away the suit, what are you? You'd be like billionaire philanthropists. Like that. That'd be your line.
[00:41:07] Speaker A: I'm Bruce Wayne.
[00:41:08] Speaker B: Well, you'd be Tony Stark.
[00:41:10] Speaker A: I'm Tony Wayne.
[00:41:11] Speaker B: You're Tony Wayne.
[00:41:12] Speaker A: Wayne Enterprises. Stark Enterprises.
[00:41:13] Speaker B: All right, I'll go next. Number three for me. Those are good. Bitcoin was a good one. I didn't think about. Now I want to. I'm gonna give honorable mention of bitcoin for me because I didn't think about it until right now. I gotta. I gotta be thinking ahead, and that's. That's the way to go. Number three for me, though, is just travel the world. And I put in parentheses, nanny and grandma included.
Well, yeah, I mean, yeah, but I put in parentheses, nanny or grandma included, to watch the baby when necessary. Because obviously the baby's coming with us. But we need somebody to watch the baby in case we need some time.
[00:41:47] Speaker A: Just leave your baby at home for.
[00:41:48] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we're bringing someone with us fair. So we're traveling the world. Number two is actually pay off all my mother's debts and kind of a little bit extra.
[00:41:58] Speaker A: Paying off all the debts.
[00:41:59] Speaker B: No, but that's our debt.
[00:42:00] Speaker A: No, it doesn't count.
[00:42:01] Speaker B: That's our debt.
[00:42:02] Speaker A: Your mom's debt is your debt if you owe a billion dollars.
[00:42:05] Speaker B: But I was. I was gonna go a step further and say, kind of like, come up with some financial, like. Like, thanks for being my mom. Being great.
[00:42:11] Speaker A: Billion dollars. Like, you could pay off all your family's debts for, like, less than, like.
[00:42:15] Speaker B: A half a guess. I'll do it. I'll pay everyone's debts off.
[00:42:17] Speaker A: Yeah, you're paying off the debts.
[00:42:19] Speaker B: All right. Well, I guess that won't count. Bitcoin's number two.
I'm buying all the bitcoin. I'm becoming a bitcoin whale to fund whatever I do my entire life. And that goes hand in hand with number one, which is just retire. Like, I literally will never work again. I won't do anything. I don't care what you want me to do. You. Like, I'm done.
[00:42:38] Speaker A: Get a hovercraft like a wally and just float around.
[00:42:40] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't do anything from that point forward. I don't do anything that I don't want to do. So.
[00:42:45] Speaker A: For sure, yeah.
[00:42:46] Speaker B: Absolutely. Bone hot. Three.
[00:42:49] Speaker C: Okay. All right. Okay. So number one, bone's gonna make a dirt bag.
[00:42:53] Speaker A: Bone's gonna be like, I'm gonna feed the children or the wall. I'm gonna go build TR in Afghanistan.
[00:42:58] Speaker C: I didn't do any, maybe eventually, that kind of stuff. But first off, I need an airplane. So I would purchase an airplane. Full, full crew.
[00:43:09] Speaker A: Like what size airplane? Like a Lear jet? Are you buying like a Trump?
[00:43:12] Speaker C: It's comfortable. No, it's. I mean, it' my family and friends, you know, wherever we end up going.
[00:43:18] Speaker B: How many family and friends?
[00:43:20] Speaker C: It depends, I guess. I don't know.
[00:43:22] Speaker B: Like, does this plane need to hold 30 people, 40 people, or like, say 20? 20 people.
[00:43:26] Speaker C: Okay, so 20.
[00:43:28] Speaker B: Modest purchase for a billion.
[00:43:30] Speaker C: You have a captain and crew on retainer there.
Yeah. Just so whenever you're ready to go. Akin K airport's super close, so it be easy to get out of there. I believe if you have the right.
[00:43:38] Speaker B: Amount of money, piece of all the.
[00:43:39] Speaker A: Action, just put an air strip in your yard.
[00:43:41] Speaker C: I would disclaimer. I would still stay. I would have a house where I live now because my kids would continue to go to school where we go because they like it. They have friends there. So I wouldn't, I wouldn't peel them out of that, but we would.
[00:43:51] Speaker A: I'll just take their friends with me.
[00:43:52] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. They could probably come purchase their friends.
[00:43:55] Speaker B: Homeschool. Purchase their friends.
[00:43:56] Speaker A: Purchase their friends.
[00:43:57] Speaker C: Maybe they could come. Maybe they could come hang out in this. Number two.
Go. I would go to the events that we're going to go to.
[00:44:06] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Yeah.
[00:44:08] Speaker C: Go to every major type of championship in the world, essentially. You know, Super Bowl, World Series.
[00:44:15] Speaker B: I like that idea.
[00:44:16] Speaker C: Some type of races. I don't really know any, but I, I would, I would do that. Augusta, you know, whatever. First class tickets to Augusta, stuff like that. So I would go to all those events that I can't do. That's a good one because I don't have enough money.
[00:44:29] Speaker A: That's smart.
[00:44:31] Speaker C: And I would. Yeah, you bring my wife, bring my kids, whoever wants to come.
[00:44:35] Speaker B: You don't want to hide your wife. Hide your kids. You're going to bring your wife.
[00:44:37] Speaker C: Yeah, I like, that's my favorite thing to do is hang out with my wife. So I, I would bring her with me.
And number three, I would have a beach property in the Panhandle.
I guess I'd been to like Rosemary beach area and stuff like that. It's really nice. Maybe a big piece of property there.
I Would just have a really nice piece of property on a beach somewhere that I would travel to.
[00:44:59] Speaker A: I think I would if I had that kind of money. You know, I'd have to have, like. I have condos everywhere. I'd have, like, a condo in Vegas.
[00:45:07] Speaker C: Condo's not a bad idea. Just because. Because you could have somebody else take care of it a little easier.
[00:45:11] Speaker B: Probably a lot easier to Airbnb it.
[00:45:13] Speaker A: Airbnb it?
[00:45:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:45:14] Speaker A: Hire a property management company to just.
[00:45:16] Speaker B: Like, literally at all times, all your properties are rented out until you're like, I'm going there. So nobody. If you're that wealthy, cancel Airbnb.
[00:45:23] Speaker C: Wait a second. If you're that wealthy, I don't think you're having anybody else stay in your home besides friends, possibly.
[00:45:28] Speaker B: That's passive.
[00:45:29] Speaker C: You know what I'm saying?
[00:45:30] Speaker B: I mean, I agree, but what do rich people like? More money.
[00:45:33] Speaker A: Yeah. You got passive income. You got to buy more Bitcoin.
[00:45:35] Speaker B: Yeah. How do you get more rich when you.
[00:45:37] Speaker C: Maybe you have.
[00:45:38] Speaker B: If I make a bit billion, my next thought is, how do I make 2 billion?
[00:45:41] Speaker C: All right, well, here's. Here's a thought. You have a whole condo. Build. Building, and you have your own private area, and then the rest of them, you rent out.
[00:45:47] Speaker A: That's what I would probably take, like.
[00:45:49] Speaker B: Yeah, that's fine.
[00:45:49] Speaker A: I would probably take, like, $100 million, like, build an apartment complex.
[00:45:52] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay.
[00:45:53] Speaker A: Just have, like, money just generating.
[00:45:55] Speaker B: Probably forever. Yeah. Okay.
[00:45:57] Speaker C: Yeah. You're in the next Trump.
[00:45:58] Speaker B: Sure. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
[00:46:00] Speaker A: Real estate developer Bone just wants one property.
[00:46:02] Speaker B: And you were talking.
We're building complexes.
Yeah.
[00:46:08] Speaker A: Family complex would be cool, too. That would be, like, to build the homestead, but like, a modern, like, giant one, not like the Alaskan bush.
[00:46:15] Speaker B: This is good. I like that. We all decided we were traveling the world, though. We're like, I think it's my travel.
[00:46:19] Speaker A: See them if you got nothing to do and all that money.
[00:46:22] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Because you definitely retire.
[00:46:24] Speaker A: And we just pick people up on the way and throw them on the boat and just party for weeks at a time. Just. Just getting trashed.
[00:46:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:46:30] Speaker A: Just seeing the world.
[00:46:31] Speaker B: I tell people all the time now I'm like, I'm gonna retire. Retire when I'm, like, 45. And they're like, what do you mean? And I'm like, I don't know how I'm gonna do it yet, but I'm gonna do it because I hate working. And they're like, what if you find a job you love? And I'm like, I actually love My day job. I love this job. I don't want to do either of them. They're still work.
[00:46:48] Speaker A: You would quit the Burning River Sportscast if you want.
[00:46:50] Speaker B: No, I mean, if I was a billionaire, I'd just do this all day, every day. I'd be like, just anytime I was.
[00:46:55] Speaker A: Bored, I'd be like, kenny, just buy a radio station.
[00:46:57] Speaker B: Are you ready to podcast? You ready to do a pod? And we just do it. Wouldn't just be Browns, it'd be anything. And if nobody listens, I don't give a. I don't give a. Cuz I'm a billionaire.
[00:47:06] Speaker A: You can probably sell ad revenue at that point, though.
[00:47:08] Speaker B: I'm a billionaire. People probably want to listen.
[00:47:09] Speaker C: People do listen to you when you're a billionaire.
[00:47:11] Speaker B: Yeah, like, they don't listen to me.
[00:47:12] Speaker A: Now why I would run for president.
[00:47:13] Speaker B: I'm me, so nobody cares.
[00:47:17] Speaker A: Is it all these people win? Win the mega millions of the Powerball and then disappear into obscurity because they don't want their friends and family?
I'm like, no, I'm running for president.
[00:47:24] Speaker B: They all, like, hide their identities and you're like, no, I won.
[00:47:28] Speaker A: No, I won.
[00:47:28] Speaker C: Ah, like j.
[00:47:29] Speaker A: That's right.
[00:47:30] Speaker B: I like that. All right, guys, that'll do it for hot three. Kenny, you know what it's time for?
Thank you. It's time for another interview.
[00:47:37] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:47:38] Speaker B: Brownsbankers interview series, something we started last year, we're going to continue doing it this year. Only a few left because we only do it as long as the Browns are playing. We have one more after the Browns are done playing as soon as they announce chapter of the year, which should be coming in the next few weeks here. But I started doing these because all die hard Browns fans all doing a lot of good work for charities and community type things around their communities. So with that, let's just go ahead and get into the next interview in the series.
[00:48:12] Speaker A: Powered by Riverside fm.
[00:48:18] Speaker B: All right, so for this brownsbackers interview, please help me welcome from way down south, the president of the Sarasota Brownsbackers, Mike.
Hey, Mike. Thanks for joining us. How are you today?
[00:48:32] Speaker A: Hey.
[00:48:33] Speaker D: I'm doing good. Nice and 76 degree temperature and I'm loving it with sunshine.
[00:48:40] Speaker B: It's a little bit better than up here, I tell you that.
So, Mike, tell us. Tell us about your chapter. Tell us about, you know, what you guys have going on down there when you were established, how many members you have, all that good stuff.
[00:48:56] Speaker D: Yeah, okay. We started in 2001 and I moved down here five years ago, I used to be chapter president of the Frederick Maryland Brown Backers and of course my grandkids. And when I retired, my grandkids lived down here. So I moved down here. And the chapter at that time, the gentleman that was running it, he didn't want to give up the actual chapter and he was looking for someone and I just happened to come in at the right, right time. So I took it over in 2019.
At that time, when I took it over, we had about 70 some members. And since 2019, I increased it to 445 members of the chapter.
So I feel pretty good that I've worked hard at it.
Of course, this is a vacation place for, as I call them, snowbirds. Anybody from Ohio usually heads this way because Siesta Key is part of Sarasota. And of course it's football season, the winter time. And first thing they ask two things. They ask one, where is the Cleveland Browns game being played? And two, where's the Ohio State game being played? So I get those members, when they come down, they'll look to come into my chapter and we have a good time.
It's a good atmosphere.
We get rowdy. We have our own room.
Our meeting place is Duffy's Sports Grill. It has about 35 to 40 TVs and it's strictly all sports. And like I said, we have our own little private room and our room holds about 50 and a couple games. This year we moved out of our room and went into the actual dining room room area which they reserved for us. So we had some nice crowds.
Some of the events we do, of course, every chapter has different events. 50 50s special drawings where we make the money and I, I sell these T shirts from the chapter and that's, that's the other money maker that, that we did.
However, this year I tried something different. And I don't know if you guys, I'm sure you guys know about the Cleveland Browns cruise out of this year. It's going to be out of Fort Lauderdale.
[00:51:31] Speaker B: Last year we were actually on that cruise and we, we, we co emceed several events on that cruise.
[00:51:38] Speaker D: So be darn. I was there and I didn't, I missed. I don't know what I was doing, but I missed that.
[00:51:42] Speaker B: Were you, were you there in the, in the theater for the Q and A sessions?
[00:51:47] Speaker D: Yes, I was.
[00:51:48] Speaker B: We were the two gentlemen on the, on the stage interviewing the five players in between Bridget Linton's 12.
[00:51:55] Speaker A: We had all the players during our second.
[00:51:57] Speaker D: Yeah, they're all out there. Most of them are out there on that stage. You're right.
[00:52:00] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:52:01] Speaker D: Anyway, I'm going. I'm going on it again this year. I don't know if you guys are.
[00:52:04] Speaker B: But we will not be there this year, but I'm sure it's going to be a hell of a time. Yeah.
[00:52:08] Speaker D: Yeah. Anyway, this. This cruise, then you know all about it. It's the cost of the. It's an interior cabin, is what I purchased from the cruise line for a $4,000 interior cabin. So I decided to sell 200 raffle tickets and at 25 bucks a piece. So somebody in our group, I was hoping in our group, but I had to go outside of our area. But two other chapters also. But one out of 200 chance to win a $4,000 cruise. So on the big game, Pittsburgh Steeler game two weeks or three weeks ago, whenever it was, we did a raffle at halftime that was the winner. We picked the winner of that raffle. And I was hoping, like I said, I was hoping to be one of my guys in my chapter, but unfortunately it was not. So I. I made a commitment to my group or I said something to my group. I says, hey, I'm going to call that person right now on the phone, and I want everybody to make it known that they're not happy.
I dialed the phone number and got on the phone, and I says, congratulations, this is Mike Manser, you know, so and so forth. And you have just won the cruise for the Browns. Back for the Browns. Cruise. And everybody booed.
[00:53:42] Speaker B: Rightfully so.
[00:53:44] Speaker D: And the guy thought I was a joke. Didn't catch right away. And I gave. I got his name. I told him who. Who the seller was, and then he settled down. He was. He was very, very happy that of course, he won. Him and his wife are definitely going to go on it. But in addition to that Cruise, I told him that part of the deal was that our chapter would give $500 to the charity of their choice, and the choice that and the charity they picked, they're out of. First of all, he's out of Canton, Ohio, and the charity that he picked was Wish, actually, North Canton Wishes. Wishes Can Happen is the name of the charity, and it's for kids 3 and 3, age 3, up to 21, that have cancer and then can't do things. So the money goes towards them. So I thought it was a very, very exciting moment for us, exciting moment for our chapter, and they are very happy, and I'll be seeing them on the cruise. I had to pay the $4,000 to get on this cruise.
But anyway, it's going to be a good time. And you know what the. What that cruise is all about.
[00:54:59] Speaker B: Absolutely. A lot of cool events on that cruise. You guys will not be disappointed.
And I know you mentioned that as one of your, you know, one of the ways that you guys raised money this year, which is a fantastic idea, by the way, but I mean, how. What with your normal raffles and everything else. What other charities are you working with locally down there in Sarasota?
[00:55:20] Speaker D: Locally? I worked with the Salvation army during the holiday. In fact, during the holidays, I had about 12 people that we ran the bell for the charities there, and this cost them a couple hours of the day to go down and ring. We wore our. We wore our shirts representing the Sarasota Browns backers. In addition to that, we, of course donated to the Cleveland Browns foundation from our chapter with our raffle money.
And we were working with the food banks. So that was the. That was a major one for us. The Salvation army was a freebie, but hourly type a deal.
And then the food bank and then this Cleveland Browns foundation, and then the other one was the crews. So that was our major. Oh, I'm sorry, there was one other major one. I totally forgot. The same day that we did the drawing that morning, the restaurant Duffy's opened up early for us for a breakfast buffet. All my Brown fans came in. And the reason why we did this is it was for Toys for Tots. We started gathering toys all the way back in September, right around there. September. We started carrying toys before even Toys for Tots got operating. And we had the military, Marine Corps was there, reserve and honors. And the admittance to this breakfast was a toy unwrap toy and $10 to help offset the cost. And we had a heck of a nice turnout. We had. We did some videos on it. And so that was. That started the morning off. All right. And then, of course, we had our national. We had our great prizes and. And fundraise donations that came in. Four different prizes for that for that event.
[00:57:30] Speaker B: Also nice when you're 400. Yeah. And when you're 400 and some members deep, you could do some damage as far as donations and things like that.
[00:57:37] Speaker A: So I was gonna say it sounds like you guys have had a pretty nice year, despite the fact that the Browns haven't been all that good. That sounds like chapter of the year type stuff going on.
[00:57:46] Speaker D: Well, I hear you. I know my buddy down here in Naples, one of last year, but because I'm on The PLC I chapter cannot get in it and get involved on that.
[00:58:02] Speaker B: So maybe next year, technicality, technical. We're gonna have to fix that. We're gonna talk to Kenny Mac and see if we can. We can fix that loophole.
[00:58:10] Speaker D: My, my PLC Is over next year, so I will definitely be pushing. Don't worry.
[00:58:17] Speaker B: So just so you know, we, we, we do. Whoever wins chapter of the year, we try and bring him on at the end of the year as like, our final guest for our Browns backers interview. So maybe we'll be talking to you again next year.
[00:58:29] Speaker D: Yeah, I hope so. I sure hope so.
[00:58:32] Speaker B: Absolutely. But, so listen, you're down there in Sarasota. How did you become a Browns fan? Did you grow up here and move down there or how'd that come about?
[00:58:41] Speaker D: Grew up in Dover.
[00:58:43] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:58:44] Speaker D: Ohio. And I just followed the Browns when in grade school. I watched them on TV with my dad, of course. And then when I got older, I bought season tickets. I was in the Cleveland Municipal Stadium from Dover. I sat behind a steel beam on about upper deck, about the 40 yard line. I was doing one of these, watching the game. And so that, that's my. And then I just followed them ever since I moved to Maryland. I started the chapter in Maryland in Frederick, and then stayed with him again when I came down here.
[00:59:23] Speaker B: So is it. I mean, how do you do it? Year after year? I just. I just got to know. I mean, you know, I like to think of myself as still fairly young, but I know I'm getting older, and I just. I don't know how I could do that, continue to do this for another 20, 30, you know, who knows how many years. How do you do it?
[00:59:41] Speaker D: I'm 76 years old. I'm still waiting my first Super Bowl. So that'll kind of give you the idea how I feel about it. Very depressing. Very.
[00:59:50] Speaker B: But maybe it keeps you young.
[00:59:53] Speaker D: I tell everybody I'm either gonna have a cane or a wheelchair when I go to the super bowl, whenever that.
[00:59:58] Speaker A: You're very, very dedicated. Very dedicated.
[01:00:01] Speaker B: Yeah. And so, I mean, what are your, you know, switching gears here a little bit. Obviously, you guys have an impressive chapter and we could talk about them all day. But let's. Let's talk about the Browns a little bit here.
What are your thoughts on this year's version of the Cleveland Browns and kind of where went astray?
[01:00:20] Speaker D: Well, I think. I think it was back last year.
Something happened. You ought to. Well, you know what the record was last year, and coming into this year, everyone was Expecting us to either make the playoffs for sure and get a crack at going to the Super Bowl. So I got to blame coaching, and I got to blame.
I'm not saying Stefanski is the issue because, you know, he's. He's done well with his name as coach. So I got to say something happened underneath him that didn't go well this year, and I don't think the players are following them. And I think that's where the issue is.
[01:01:06] Speaker B: And I think the obvious is obvious. You know, they got rid of Scott Van Pelt. They brought on.
My apologies. Yeah, they got rid of Alex Van Pelt, brought on Dorsey, and Dorsey's just been awful. His. I mean, just. Just to put it lightly, his offense just confuses me at times on how it's a NFL offense when you lost.
[01:01:26] Speaker A: Callahan, too, and you also.
[01:01:27] Speaker B: Yeah, the new lost Bill Callahan and some of these other things. So, I mean, yeah, I think there's huge issues on the offensive side, and the fact that the offense has been, for the most part this season, you know, just got awful.
[01:01:40] Speaker D: Three quarterbacks, man. All three. I'm sorry.
[01:01:44] Speaker B: Yeah, well. And you hear it, like, now you're starting to hear Miles Garrett speak out, and he said, well, you know, in case anyone didn't read between the lines in the middle of his rant about, you know, I need them to show me that we're working towards winning now. They need to show me the path forward. He also said in the middle of that thing, I don't want to be on the field all the time.
So kind of a veiled shot at the offense there of, like, hey, that side of the ball needs to get their stuff together or else you're going to see people on this side of the ball start walking.
[01:02:14] Speaker D: Yep. I kind of believe that, too.
I totally agree with you on that side. Side. I don't want to see Miles leave this team in Cleveland.
He's done so much for Cleveland. And our Running back, number 24, Nick Chubb.
[01:02:33] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:02:33] Speaker D: Yeah, Chubb. I feel sorry for that guy. He's done everything he can and many worse. I mean, injuries. That's. That's sad.
[01:02:44] Speaker B: Well, even. Even injuries aside, the fact that. And not necessarily aside, but like, he came back from that injury to the offense that they were putting on the field this year, and I'm just like, how can you. How can you treat somebody like Nick Chubb like that? Like, this is what we're going to put in front of you.
[01:03:00] Speaker A: Not fair to these guys. At the end of the day, you.
[01:03:01] Speaker D: Got to have a line to open up, to make a run.
[01:03:05] Speaker B: Yep. And so, yeah, I mean, that's exactly right.
It brings up a good point. Going into next year, obviously we're going to have a high draft pick and we'll get to this week's game in just a minute, but we're going to have a high draft pick pick next year.
I'm hearing a lot of people say, you know, quarterback, running back, things like that, and I'm curious to hear what your thoughts are on the issue, because in my eyes, at least, not to sway you or anything, but I'm like, we need an offensive lineman because our offensive line is so bad. It doesn't matter if you draft a running back or a quarterback, they're just going to get killed.
[01:03:38] Speaker D: You are absolutely correct. I mean, let's get the line, let's build the lineup, let's get those openings and then bring that quarterback in, bring that running back, running back in to make it work.
[01:03:49] Speaker A: I.
[01:03:51] Speaker D: Number one draft pick, best lineman out there. I mean, I know that's not usual going for a lineman as a number one, but it depends on how many draft picks we had. I know we've done this in the past, lots of draft picks, but there, the question is, do we get the right ones?
[01:04:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
Yeah. And so, I mean, in that same vein, I know this is a question that Kenny's asked multiple times. Do you trust this front office to make those picks?
[01:04:25] Speaker D: Well, we had Barry here before.
[01:04:30] Speaker B: Yeah. We get what you're laying down there.
Yeah. It's funny, we've talked a lot on our show just about. About how Andrew Barry's moves in the moment always look genius. Like every time he's made a move, I'm like, oh, that's a good pickup.
[01:04:48] Speaker A: Especially his cat moves.
[01:04:50] Speaker B: But the more and more we see these moves age and we see them two, three years out, you're like, this guy's really bad at talent evaluation because he gets guys that's. That they seem to be coming off of maybe a career year or like just a better year, whatever the case is. Or on the flip side of it, they're coming off injury and. And he's banking on them getting back to where they're going to be or where they were. I'm sorry. And they just never make it back there.
[01:05:18] Speaker A: And on top of that, you have. Most of the nucleus of this team was drafted by John Dorsey. Right. Your guys like Miles Garrett and your guys like Denzel Ward, those were not Denzel's.
[01:05:29] Speaker D: Another issue. I mean, injury. He's great. He's.
He's injured.
[01:05:35] Speaker A: Yeah, He's a hard time staying on the field.
[01:05:37] Speaker B: But to your point, Kenny, there is no arguing that when he is on the field, he's one of the top five corners in the.
But, Mike, I agree with you. He is always injured. And for me, that's one of the reasons why, like, he's one of the guys I'd be shopping. Because if you get any return for him, he's one concussion away after having, what, six of them now, his career might be over. So, I mean, not that I want it. I'm not saying get rid of Denzel because I don't like Denzel. I'm saying you probably should kick the tires all over the place and see what you can get for him.
[01:06:07] Speaker A: We just keep going back to the fact that this team is going to finish 3 and 14. So there's obviously a lot wrong and a lot that needs fixed. So you got to come up with draftkings capital somewhere.
[01:06:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:06:16] Speaker D: And another individual. Don't know his name. He's a coach.
Special teams.
[01:06:23] Speaker B: Bubba Ventrone, our kicker.
[01:06:27] Speaker D: How many times do you shank it left without getting corrected?
That's another issue right there.
[01:06:34] Speaker A: I mean, Mike, you've been watching the Browns play for a long time. Have you ever seen a kicker miss as many field goals and keep his job?
[01:06:40] Speaker D: That's what I'm saying. Exactly. And then, then we get. Then we get burned last week in Cincinnati with good old York kicking a 60 yarder dead center.
[01:06:53] Speaker B: Yeah, Yeah. I could have told you that was going to happen as soon as they tried him onto the field. Because that's just what happens. And as if that wasn't enough, we talked about this on our live show Sunday. Mike. You know, we. Hopkins missed the extra point. They had a fan in Cincinnati for a contest. If he made a 40 yard field goal, the entire stadium got pizza. And guess whose fans got pizza.
[01:07:17] Speaker D: I didn't know about that one.
[01:07:19] Speaker B: Yeah. So while. While the entire stadium is watching Hopkins miss an extra point, they also got to watch their fan pulled literally off the street, never kicked a day in his life. Kick a 40 yarder for everybody to win. Free pizza.
[01:07:31] Speaker A: Brown should sign him.
[01:07:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:07:33] Speaker A: Unbelievable.
[01:07:34] Speaker B: So I agree with you. You know, as good as special teams were the first year under Raven Tron, this year, they've just been abysmal, like in every facet too. We've been cycling through return guys. They all seem to not. They. They have ball security issues, every single one of them. They make bad decisions. As far as when to let the ball go, when to. When to field it and run.
The. The. The kicking has been bad. The really the only good part, the only consistent part about the special teams is Corey Bajoraquez, and that's just because he's. He's bojo.
[01:08:09] Speaker A: He just good punter.
[01:08:10] Speaker B: He's probably the best punter in the league.
[01:08:12] Speaker A: So.
[01:08:13] Speaker D: Yeah, but the, the key. I mean you. You got to be able field goal kicker. You get. You got to win games when you're in the. In in the zone, man. And when you. When you start shanking left every time you come on, something's got to change. What is he. Why isn't the coach jumping on him? Yeah, well. Well, I don't know if he is or not, but it sure doesn't show it. Sorry, I'm. I'm ranting now.
[01:08:39] Speaker B: No, you're. You're good. Keep it going. Yeah. Hey, real quick, while we're on the subject, Mike, if you ever have anything to rant about, go ahead and call the Burning River Sportscast hot take hotline. The number for that is 330-227-880. Wait a minute.
[01:08:54] Speaker D: Give it to me again. Three, three, zero. Oh, I see it on the line. Okay.
[01:08:57] Speaker B: Yeah. 3330-227-8080. Make sure you push that to your whole group. And if anybody just if they need something or someone to ven.
During the game, before the game, anytime. It's. It's basically just a voicemail that we set up for you to call and leave your. Your angry rancher. They could even be good rants if the Browns happen to turn things around next year, start doing well again. They could even call and praise them. We don't care. But we take those and we put them on air and we talk about the takes that our fans have so that the Browns fans have.
[01:09:31] Speaker D: Yeah, okay. I will definitely pass that on.
Just a quick. Every Thursday I send emails out to my entire chapter members and some non members. Now the members, of course, I talk about the game coming up and I tell them about the events that my chapter is doing in the. In that email. But I send out not only 445 emails, I got 67072 that are non members of my chapter that either been in my club and I tried to get them to join. So I send out about 600 and some emails every Thursday night for Sunday's games.
[01:10:14] Speaker A: Wow.
[01:10:14] Speaker B: Nice. No, that's great. And you have three more to send to because you kind of stole my thunder there. But every brownsbackers group that we interview, we actually join. Our whole crew joins their brownsbackers chapter. So earlier today, you probably saw. Yeah, you probably saw three requests to join come in on Brownsbackers Worldwide. And that was. That was us three, Kenny, myself and Bone, our, our board man over there.
We all requested to join. So three new members for you. We do check those emails and just see what's going on with the various brownsbackers chapters that, that we are a part of. We like to keep up with you guys and see what's happening. So that's cool.
[01:10:56] Speaker D: I hope I. Did you say you did sign up or going to.
[01:10:59] Speaker B: I signed up earlier today. For all of us. Yep.
[01:11:01] Speaker D: Okay. I haven't looked, but I will. You know I will. And you'll be getting my emails every Thursday, for sure.
[01:11:10] Speaker B: Absolutely. And so real quick here, let's. Let's talk about this week's game.
You know, tell us what your thoughts are on this week's game. Do we have a chance and finish it up with a score prediction and no, you can't abstain from the score prediction. You must give one.
[01:11:26] Speaker A: One.
[01:11:30] Speaker D: All right. Well, you're putting me to a spot. Yeah. I'm a Browns fan. Yes. I see our team. I don't think we're going to make past three games.
So I think Miami has a much better chance.
It's a home game. I'm afraid to say this, but I think that stadium is going to be watching a lot of people from TV instead of going to the game, unfortunately.
I know the defense is going to play their hearts out. It's just our line. I'm sorry, Our line and our offense can't make it happen. So the answer. I'm going to be nice. I'm going to say 2117, unfortunately, Miami.
[01:12:24] Speaker B: Nice. I like that you were brave enough to go there, Mike, because you were only the second given given the season that we're having right now. You were only the second brownsbackers president that was willing to go there and say, you know what? I just. Realistically, I don't think the Browns are going to win this week.
[01:12:42] Speaker D: But it's tough to say to my chapter when I put my emails out, be positive all the time. I got to do that. I got to be positive because I'm the president and I want people to come and join. And because we're a snowbird town, they do come in. I had about 12 last week just coming in for the week and they wanted to stay with us and watch the game. And that, that's a good feeling. And they're die hard. They got to be die hards, just like me.
[01:13:11] Speaker B: You can stay positive, but also, you're also realistic.
[01:13:14] Speaker A: Also realistic.
[01:13:15] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, we, we get it. We get it. And here's the bottom line.
[01:13:21] Speaker D: Have you guys ever been. Been to Sarasota?
[01:13:23] Speaker B: I have been to Sarasota. I. But briefly. We were kind of passing through.
[01:13:29] Speaker A: I am. My mom vacations down there a lot.
[01:13:32] Speaker D: Yes. The key is the spot, the beach spot. It's one of the top 10 beaches in the United States. And the reason why, 90, 100 degree temperature. You can walk in the sand, your feet are cold.
[01:13:44] Speaker B: Nice.
[01:13:45] Speaker D: That's one of the nicest things. And of course, in the winter time, it's very nice here. And, and it's a good atmosphere. I. We had a lot. We had two hurricanes that pretty much destroyed Siesta Key in the past. Milton really did a number on us. But the, the people there are. They're not giving up and they just clean it up and move on. And it's great. It's a great atmosphere there.
[01:14:13] Speaker A: Why is the sand cold?
[01:14:16] Speaker D: It's a chemical. It's a white crystal. It's not true sand. It's a crystal and you can just. Just very, very brine. And it just doesn't get, doesn't get. I don't know what the temperature. I have no idea the chemical, what it caused that. But that's all natural.
[01:14:36] Speaker A: Interesting.
[01:14:37] Speaker B: That's wild.
[01:14:38] Speaker A: I know that.
[01:14:39] Speaker B: Yeah. That's crazy, huh? Learn something new every day, I guess. Well. Well, you know, usually I finish up these interviews by saying, well, you know, hopefully we'll be seeing you soon. But like now I'm like, really intrigued. Like I might have to make it a point to get down there and for sure see what this sand is all about. And the Sarasota brownsbaggers, of course. So.
[01:14:57] Speaker D: Hey, also, real quick, I know I don't. I'm going to say it. Ohio State Buckeyes has a huge alumni backing in Siesta Key itself. And what I normally do, I go down to the game Saturdays and I recruit.
When I see somebody wearing a Brown's hat, I go right over to them. Hey, come down Sunday and see me over on Sunday. So it's two different locations.
[01:15:19] Speaker B: But just all the more reason why you should win chapter of the year.
[01:15:22] Speaker A: That's why you have 400 more plus members now, right?
[01:15:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. I mean, not that we're advocating for anybody because we love all Browns backers, but I'm Just saying, you're working pretty.
[01:15:30] Speaker A: Hard and Mike's putting the work in.
[01:15:32] Speaker B: So listen, Mike, I would love to, you know, keep chatting with you and stay on all. All afternoon, all night, but unfortunately we have to go talk about the Browns more. So listen, it's been fantastic having you on and. And hopefully, like I said, we will get down there to Sarasota sometime in the near future and be able to check out your guys viewing location and meet you in person, so.
[01:15:58] Speaker D: Ah, that's great, man. I love to see you, Both of you. Yep. Including your director, wherever he is. What's his name, by the way?
[01:16:05] Speaker B: I can't remember a director. He's. He's laughing over there. He's. He's boned. He's our board man, but he loves director. He's. He said I'm signed up. Yeah.
[01:16:14] Speaker A: He's got new business cards coming.
[01:16:16] Speaker B: Yep. Yep. So, again, Mike, thank you so much. We really appreciate it and we will talk soon, I'm sure.
[01:16:23] Speaker A: Thanks, man.
[01:16:24] Speaker D: All right. Go Browns.
[01:16:26] Speaker B: Go Browns.
[01:16:33] Speaker D: I'm with the Sarasota Browns backers and you're listening to Bernie Rivers sportscast and Go Browns.
[01:16:46] Speaker B: Good time talking to Mike from the Sarasota brownsbaggers, huh?
[01:16:50] Speaker A: Jealous of Mike.
[01:16:51] Speaker B: Mike because he lives in Sarasota.
[01:16:53] Speaker A: Nice there.
[01:16:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:16:54] Speaker A: But seriously, I was like, for real when I said, like, that's chapter of the year type work that guy's putting in. Like, that guy is. I know he can't because of his position on the leadership council or whatever, but after this year, though, I mean, that guy, they had a ton of charities.
[01:17:08] Speaker B: Look to all the other brownsbackers groups out there that are watching this. I swear, we're not like, like saying like, he should win. We think you guys should have a fair chance as well.
[01:17:17] Speaker A: Everybody should win.
[01:17:19] Speaker B: But he's doing some really good things.
[01:17:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I just. I mean, the. The growth that they've number is like, it sounds like a lot of the folks that we've talked to this year, it sounds like, have had a hard time getting people to still come out because the Browns have been so bad.
[01:17:32] Speaker B: The Browns are 3 and 12. They're going to finish 3 and 14.
[01:17:34] Speaker C: They're terrible.
[01:17:35] Speaker A: They're fortunate because they're in a tourist destination, but it sounds like they haven't had a ton of problems with, like, attendance and stuff. So they're still raising a crap ton of money, which is awesome.
[01:17:43] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. So good on him. Yeah. And hopefully we get a chance to talk to him in the future.
[01:17:48] Speaker A: Yeah. It's a good conversation.
[01:17:50] Speaker B: But with that, let's go ahead and take a quick revenue break, then get back here and talk about the Week 17 matchup with the Dolphins.
[01:17:56] Speaker A: And they have a dope logo.

All right, this week Miami Dolphins Kenny, you notice time for.
[01:19:11] Speaker A: Oh, it must be time for Kenny's Cliff Notes.
[01:19:12] Speaker B: It's time for Kenny's Cliff Notes.
[01:19:21] Speaker C: Oh, there it is. Yeah, I knew it was in there somewhere. It just took me a minute to find it.
[01:19:25] Speaker B: Yeah, man, I'm Kenny, what do you got for us?
[01:19:28] Speaker A: Getting tired of doing clips notes.
[01:19:30] Speaker B: You're the guy now, but here we go. Let's hear it.
[01:19:34] Speaker A: Press conference comedian Mike McDaniels leads the seven and eight dolphins. Still scrapping.
[01:19:39] Speaker B: This press conference is so good.
[01:19:40] Speaker A: Improbable push after beating a 49ers team that is immensely more talented than the Browns is currently composed to attack of aloha brains currently Intact, is approaching 3,000 yards on the year, has thrown 19 touchdowns to just seven picks. The speedy Devon A. Shane has 761 yards this season and five touchdowns as their leading rusher. Injuries have plagued this season, but there's no shortage of talent, including the receiving room led by the Cheetah. Terry Kill, fresh off an engagement with Miami pd. He's free and approaching a thousand yards on the season. And Jalen Waddle, also in the ballpark of a thousand, has been hampered by a knee in recent weeks. Tight end John who Smith is second on the team in yards at 802. Veteran tackles Tehran Armstead and Kendall Lamb bolster the 24th ranked O line in the league in a unit that's been beat up all year long, notably losing Austin Jackson in week nine has been tough to overcome. This defense is solid, ranking seventh in total yards, 10th in points given up and notably third and third down conversion percentage. Jordan Brooks currently leads the team in tackles, followed by former Brown Jordan Poyer, Zach Seiler and Chop Robinson have combined for 14 and a half sacks this season and have Calais Campbell and familiar face Emmanuel Agba. This team is dangerous up front. The Dolphins boast of veteran secondary with the aforementioned Jordan Poyer, Kendall Fuller and all pro Jalen Ramsey. And let's not forget the most important player on the roster, the former Tar Tar Heel all ACC second teamer and undrafted free agent Storm Duck.
Named of course after the Bold and the Beautifuls Storm Logan, played by none other than Canadian soap superstar William a lot of S's there. William DeVry, who can forget the episode where he accidentally shot his sister Katie and when she needed a heart transplant as a result took his own life so she could have his.
[01:21:41] Speaker B: Wow. Nobody does it like daytime soaps.
[01:21:45] Speaker A: Longtime kicker, former poli Sci major and seventh round draft seventh round draft pick Jason Sanders is currently 26 points away from from locking up the Dolphins number two spot for points all time. Currently behind only a Lindo Mare and 70s standout Garo Yeperman.
[01:22:01] Speaker B: Listen, news flash real quick. Locking up that spot, that record don't mean Dustin Hopkins is second all time and Browns point scored.
[01:22:10] Speaker A: Well, that was for a season. That was for a season. This is all time.
[01:22:12] Speaker B: I guess that's better.
[01:22:13] Speaker A: But so like there's okay. That means I mean you know, you got like.
[01:22:16] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, that's. That's longevity. Keep going. Keep going. Cliff Notes.
[01:22:19] Speaker A: Pretty good Cliff Notes. Yeah, they're keeping it short. And Santa Fe Christian High School long jump record holder, 2021ft 4 inches. And Letterman in both track and soccer. Jake Bailey handles the punting duties for the fins.
Maybe if DTR's calf is hurt badly enough, we'll get to see Jamis or Bailey Zappy and we'll have a chance to win. Go Browns.
[01:22:39] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a fair, fair assessment.
I guess. I guess it's my turn.
[01:22:45] Speaker A: It's time. Verat and Dams matchups and matches matter.
[01:22:53] Speaker B: Why do we say it like that?
[01:22:55] Speaker A: That's how it goes every time.
[01:22:57] Speaker B: Every time. All right, I have two matchups that matter.
[01:23:02] Speaker A: Is it Canadian superstar super so star William Durai?
[01:23:05] Speaker B: No, you. You went. You went deep. I didn't really know you were going to that much detail. Name is Storm Duck. I had to figure out it's the Kenny's Cliff Notes. I guess I should have being Stormed. I like how it's the Kenny's Cliff Notes. You give us an entire background of everybody's life story. Like it' but anyways, number one here, Miles Garrett versus Miami's offensive line. Obviously the Browns move Miles around a lot, so he's gonna move Miles so far home game, but he's gonna be matched up against like all of them at some point or another. And this O line is actually pretty bad. They ranked, believe it or not, they ranked behind the Browns this season.
[01:23:41] Speaker A: Yes, they do.
[01:23:43] Speaker B: But I guess my only question here is, does Miles even care? At this point of the season?
[01:23:47] Speaker A: The Browns are ranked 23rd and they're rank 24.
[01:23:49] Speaker B: Yes. And so I. Yeah, I mean, it depends on if Miles is going to be able to get up for these last two games.
I would assume he still got some fire, especially given the comments that he's made recently about showing him a path to victory and things like that.
[01:24:04] Speaker A: I think he also still wants to catch T.J. watt.
[01:24:06] Speaker B: Yeah, I agreed.
[01:24:08] Speaker A: Close as he can.
[01:24:09] Speaker B: And now's the time to be selfish. Let's be honest. Like you're. This team is going to end up 3 and 14. Like just go get as many sacks as you possibly can.
[01:24:16] Speaker A: Go have a six sack game.
[01:24:17] Speaker B: Yeah, go do it. Yeah. And then my second matchup that matters. DTR versus anyone.
[01:24:24] Speaker A: DDR versus himself.
[01:24:25] Speaker B: Just dtr. Like, it's not really a matchup. It's just dtr. He's not good. Like he's not good.
[01:24:33] Speaker A: He's really bad.
[01:24:34] Speaker B: He's not good.
And if he plays like he did last week, we have absolutely no chance. We're not just losing, we're losing by like 30. So maybe his calf injury flares up and Jameis Winston or Bailey's Abbey playing. We have a chance to go Browns.
But no, in summary here, the Dolphins, they have a 7 and 8 record coming off a 2917 win over the 49ers 5 and 2 in their last seven games. The defense of theirs ranks surprisingly in the top 10 and literally just about every statistical category. I did not see that coming when I was looking at the Dolphins team and scouts do Dolphins teams.
[01:25:10] Speaker A: I agree.
[01:25:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
And, and, and the Browns are playing dtr.
[01:25:15] Speaker A: So they do have Storm, Duck.
[01:25:17] Speaker B: Yeah, the Brown. The Browns are playing DTR. So true. Top 10 defense, GTR, DTR.
[01:25:23] Speaker A: Storm, Duck.
[01:25:24] Speaker B: Yeah.
On offense though, again, surprisingly, Miami is like middle, middle of the road to back half of the league in almost every category.
[01:25:33] Speaker A: Well, they've also had a lot of injuries this year. True. Was out some time. Jaylen Waddles missed time. Tyreek Hill missed time. True.
[01:25:39] Speaker B: Yeah, true. So. But it's just surprising given the names that are on the offense.
[01:25:43] Speaker A: Oh, agreed. And then OBJ was there for a while.
[01:25:47] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. He. He was granted his release. He's going to have a miraculous revival of his career somewhere else for the 12th team or whatever he's on anyways, as a team. We'll go to the brown side here. 3:12 Record coming off another loss, this time to the Bengals. This is one of the worst feeling losses I can remember. And the Cowboys game was 16 weeks ago. The Giants game was 14 weeks ago. The RA game was 13 weeks ago. The Commanders game was 12 weeks ago. The Eagles game was 11 weeks ago. The Bengals game, other Bengals game was 10 weeks ago. The Chargers game was eight weeks ago. The Saints game was six weeks ago. The Broncos game was three weeks ago. The Steelers game was two weeks ago. The Chiefs game was one week ago. It just feels real bad.
[01:26:23] Speaker A: I was actually going to say this is the worst feeling loss out of all those you listed because they were so putrid and so awful.
[01:26:30] Speaker B: It just this year, no joke, like, like loss after loss, like, they all feel so bad.
[01:26:36] Speaker A: Yeah, like, been an ugly year.
[01:26:38] Speaker B: It's been. It's just been bad. I don't even have words. I legitimately don't. It's just bad is all I can say. Bad, bad, bad. It's really bad.
But the Browns, they're not good. So we're starting dtr so this game will once again be unwatchable.
I probably will check out at halftime if DTR is still playing and hasn't hurt his calf yet. So, yeah, like, I'm serious.
[01:27:04] Speaker A: Like, I think like, we need to the all out, like, boycott this game again. I don't want to do anything to hurt the Browns backers that are out there. But like bring your Netflix account password. Like sign in, watch a movie, watch the other teams that are on TV that are actually playing football because this team isn't that. That stadium should be as empty as can possibly be on Sunday. Show the Haslams, show that this organization is just not worth watching.
[01:27:27] Speaker B: Well, you mentioned it earlier. It's just such a slap in the face that they rolled out these big things. I don't know if you've got this week, if you' signed up for the Browns newsletter you got this week, the, the survey that they sent out to ask you what you want in the new stadium amidst all this.
[01:27:40] Speaker A: Right.
[01:27:41] Speaker B: Like, are you kidding? Like, who, what. What person in your pr.
[01:27:44] Speaker A: I'd like a good football team. Yeah.
[01:27:46] Speaker B: What person in your PR department was like, you know what? This is a good time to send this out.
[01:27:50] Speaker A: I'M like. I'm like, don't even build the dome now. Like you don't deserve it. Like, just keep playing where you're playing like you.
[01:27:56] Speaker B: You met in Generic Stadium 4.
[01:27:58] Speaker A: Like that's playing there until you put a good football team on the field.
[01:28:01] Speaker B: I agree.
[01:28:01] Speaker A: That should be the priority.
[01:28:02] Speaker B: And I'm not saying that because I want them to be there. I'm saying that because that's what they deserve.
[01:28:06] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:28:07] Speaker B: But with that being said, it's time for bone, man. Skeleton key to victory.
[01:28:14] Speaker C: Oh, man, look at that key.
Ah, okay, so I got like maybe one key, maybe two.
[01:28:26] Speaker B: Click the button.
[01:28:27] Speaker C: What is there more? Ah, there's more. Yeah.
[01:28:31] Speaker B: Come on, man.
[01:28:32] Speaker A: Someone in the bone.
[01:28:33] Speaker B: All year long.
[01:28:35] Speaker C: This is. You know this is only three weeks old, right? 4.
[01:28:38] Speaker B: It's a new segment.
[01:28:39] Speaker C: Well, anyways, if we want to win this game, we need a blizzard. Just like. Just like the Pittsburgh game. Let's level the playing field here. We need all the help we can get.
[01:28:48] Speaker B: Miami is not good in the snow.
[01:28:50] Speaker A: That's true.
[01:28:50] Speaker C: I think a blizzard would be very helpful for this team. You know, maybe Jerome for could have another 50 yard run. He. He seems to do that once a game now, so he doesn't do anything.
[01:28:59] Speaker B: The rest of the game. And then once again, he's got a 50 yard. That could be.
[01:29:02] Speaker C: That could be good. And then I guess the other key to victory would be if DTR gets hurt and then another quarterback place.
[01:29:08] Speaker B: Yeah, we aren't banking on that. We're not hoping for DTR to get hurt, but if he does, then we get a better quarterback.
[01:29:14] Speaker A: Like when DTR gets hurt in the stadium. Cheers again. We have to go through that whole thing again about how it's not personal. Dtr. We just want a chance to win the game.
[01:29:21] Speaker B: Yeah. We just want to.
[01:29:21] Speaker A: We just want an actual quarterback to play.
[01:29:24] Speaker B: Like, it's not. It's not you. It's the coaches not benching.
[01:29:27] Speaker A: They can throw the ball to our team.
[01:29:29] Speaker C: I would. I would like to add to Kenny's point of boycotting the Browns the next couple of weeks. I'm all in on that. Because every year the talking point is, oh, my goodness, the Browns have been terrible for 25 years, yet that stadium is filled every week. Look at these fans coming out and supporting that piece of crap team in garbage products put out on the field. Like one year. Let's just stop.
[01:29:53] Speaker A: Stop.
[01:29:53] Speaker B: Like it's about time for. For the rest of the season and going into next season, like all offseason, all they should talk about is, wow, the stadium was empty and nobody even watched on tv. And it is.
[01:30:05] Speaker C: It is a known fact that the. The fans of this team boycotted them because of the garbage that they keep pushing. Deshaun Watson, dtr. The coaching staff, dtr. Yeah, exactly.
[01:30:17] Speaker B: Everything.
[01:30:17] Speaker A: Dustin Hawkins.
[01:30:20] Speaker B: Yeah. It's just. I agree.
[01:30:21] Speaker A: I mean, they're unwatchable. They're unwatchable. That was the least fun football game that I've ever seen.
[01:30:27] Speaker C: Absolutely terrible.
[01:30:28] Speaker A: It was painful.
[01:30:28] Speaker C: And yet they know people are going to keep coming. Yeah, people are going to keep.
[01:30:32] Speaker B: Well, and that's. That's exactly the point with this whole. Sending the survey out now for what you want in the new stadium. Like, this is literally the worst time to be anymore. We're two weeks from the end of that. Just wait till the season's over and send it out like you don't need that information back tomorrow.
[01:30:46] Speaker A: People have a break for a minute. Yeah.
[01:30:48] Speaker B: What the hell, man? I got it. And I was so. I was instantly pissed. Like, I was having a decent day because I've just kind of given up on the Browns. I don't really get mad about them anymore. But then they sent me a survey and they were like, what do you want in the new stadium? I was like, I want you to play good football, you piece of God.
I hate the Browns. I love the Browns. I hate the Browns.
[01:31:07] Speaker A: I will say one.
[01:31:08] Speaker B: I love them so much, I'm going to boycott them. Like. Like, Bone said one thing they definitely.
[01:31:11] Speaker A: Need in the stadium that the Superdome didn't have was cup holders.
[01:31:14] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Make sure you have cup holders.
[01:31:16] Speaker A: I was.
[01:31:17] Speaker C: No stadium, you can fit 12,000 extra seats without couplers.
[01:31:24] Speaker B: Whoever came up with that is a dick.
[01:31:26] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:31:27] Speaker B: Yeah. Kenny, betting info for this game.
[01:31:30] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, I have that.
[01:31:32] Speaker B: Well, why don't you tell us?
[01:31:33] Speaker A: I will tell you to. No one's surprised. We are a home dog.
[01:31:37] Speaker B: Oh, we are.
[01:31:38] Speaker A: Minus six and a half, Miami over, under, 40. 40 and a half low, over, under. Well, there's gonna be a blister.
[01:31:49] Speaker B: I don't think we're actually forecasted for one, but I hope there's one.
[01:31:52] Speaker A: I hope there's one, too, hopefully. It's just so cold. Everybody gets frostbite. I can't play anymore.
[01:31:57] Speaker B: Yeah. Players to watch here. I'll go first. I got Miles Garrett for all the things that I said a little bit earlier.
I'm looking for two things here.
One, the body language. Because I go back and forth on this, like, at some point, and I get your what you said about his. He's playing for a legacy at this point and, like, trying to catch TJ Watt and all those things, but at some point, like, it's just got a grind on you. Like, it's got to get to a point where you're like, I can't just do this for this team anymore.
And so I just want to see his body language in this game and how he's reacting to certain things, especially with the offense not being able to move the ball, which we know they're not going to be able to. Like, how does he respond? And does he keep energy up the whole game and stay a leader on the field? And then also, is this a tryout for a new team? Because at this point, right after you made those comments, right after Miles Garrett made the comments about Show Me the Path to Winning, we announced that DTR will start another game.
[01:32:55] Speaker A: So, again, could you be any more tone deaf?
[01:32:58] Speaker B: Yeah, at this point, it's just like a slap in the face to Miles Garrett. Like, yeah, we heard you, but we don't really give a shit. So does he go out there and try and play super hard and basically use this as a tryout for a new team to sign with next year?
[01:33:10] Speaker A: I question too, like, does Miles.
Does Miles want Kevin Stefanski back next year? Like, from a stability standpoint, Like, I.
[01:33:21] Speaker B: Think he took, like I said, the subtle veil or the veiled shot of the. The offense, I think was directed at at Dorsey. I think that was directed at Stefanski. I think that was directed at.
[01:33:32] Speaker A: But his cleaning house signaling a full rebuild. And that's also not where Miles wants to be.
[01:33:40] Speaker B: I don't know. I think he's on the bandwagon of what we had kind of floated on our show earlier this year where, like, variable takes over.
[01:33:47] Speaker C: And what if he's looking at Washington? You know, I don't know.
[01:33:50] Speaker D: Just like, that's what.
[01:33:51] Speaker A: That's how I'm looking at it. I'm looking at it saying, a new coach and a new culture and bringing in a bunch of new guys that are. Aren't tainted by this front office. I think you could build a winner quickly.
[01:34:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:34:03] Speaker A: Especially if you make the right draft picks.
But. And you get. And provided you get the quarterback situation, semi figured out, I don't know that next year's quarterback is on this roster. As much as I enjoyed Jameis being a Brown, I mean, some of the names that I've heard kind of floated to fill that gap for next year, like Kirk Cousins because of the Pennock situation down there. Not thrilled about that. Not thrilled about Sam Darnold maybe coming here with.
[01:34:29] Speaker B: The only reason I would be. I would. I would accept Kirk Cousins is if he's. If they really do just like, release him, like they're saying. And then you get him for the veterans minimum, like, you get him for a million bucks. I'll take Kirk Cousins for a million bucks. It's like 1.2 or whatever it is.
[01:34:43] Speaker A: Sure. I just. I like, like Kirk Cousins. I don't think you're gonna win any more games with Kirk Cousins. You're gonna win Jameis Winston. Like, I don't. That does anything for you.
[01:34:52] Speaker B: Well, the Browns, Hey, Jameis Winston, we.
[01:34:53] Speaker A: Already established you'd be bringing in Kirk Cousins as a. As a pure bridge, and he would know that coming in. So, I mean, maybe it works out. But then also, you have to get the quarterback right in the draft. That is your bridge somewhere.
[01:35:06] Speaker B: Yeah, and I agree with that. I just.
They hate Jameis Winston. I already said that. So it is what it is. I. They're going to need somebody because I don't think the quarter. The quarterback of the future is in this coming draft.
[01:35:16] Speaker A: So is there a scenario that exists in which Andrew Barry and D. Podesta, these guys find themselves out of a job and Stefanski stays with.
[01:35:24] Speaker B: I mean, it's very, very rare.
[01:35:25] Speaker A: Dorsey needs that.
[01:35:26] Speaker B: That ever. I don't know the last time that has happened anywhere.
But, I mean, I. I think it's a possibility because at this point, he. He is. I mean, not that I think this means all that much because again, I just fall back on. Mike Tomlin still hasn't won coach at the. The year. Kevin Stefanski. Stefanik is. Is 2 out of 4 coach of the year. So maybe the Haslams look at that and say he's done something. Well, he's. He's overperformed with what he's been given.
[01:35:53] Speaker C: I almost feel like when it comes down to who pushed the hardest for DeSean Watson, even if it wasn't Andrew Berry, it would have to be, right? He's the freaking player personnel general manager of the team. So it's like even if there is a fall, it has to be him as the fall guy.
[01:36:06] Speaker A: Right.
[01:36:07] Speaker C: Right.
[01:36:07] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:36:07] Speaker A: I mean, because. Because otherwise it's Jimmy and he's not going anywhere.
[01:36:10] Speaker C: Exactly.
[01:36:11] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:36:12] Speaker B: That ain't getting anywhere. So.
[01:36:13] Speaker A: But. But you can't. You certainly can't run this thing back with the same front office and the same. I mean, without making.
[01:36:19] Speaker B: I think at the very least, I I think one thing that we could be absolutely certain of this offseason is deep test. Deep test is gone. And he's never in the building. Nobody even really talks about him anymore. Like, to me, he's already, like, he's gone.
[01:36:32] Speaker A: Well, he's an easy fall guy, but, like, is that enough to. Is that enough red meat for fans? For me?
[01:36:36] Speaker B: No, no, no.
[01:36:37] Speaker A: But I'm just saying, like, and like, for Miles. Like, is Miles to. Is Miles supposed to believe that this guy that hasn't done anything, this guy.
[01:36:44] Speaker B: That hasn't been in the building in like, like two years? Yeah. Yeah.
[01:36:47] Speaker A: Like, no. And so even if you kept the front office and the coaching staff intact, like, you can't. You certainly can't run it back with the same roster. I mean, you're going to be looking at major overhauls. You're looking at half the team being replaced with new guys. Doesn't matter where they come from or whether they're any good. You just have to bring in new blood.
[01:37:05] Speaker B: Yep. But anyways, my. My player to watch is Miles Garon. So, Kenny, who's your player to watch?
[01:37:10] Speaker A: Don't watch this game. No one should go. Send a message to the Hasm sports group. This is not acceptable. Go to your local Browns backers bar, get some apps, Enjoy the other games and a day, you know, out in the the town with the watching real football teams. I'm serious this time. I'm not going to throw at another player. Like, don't watch this game. No, don't watch this game. Don't watch it. Nobody should watch it. Nobody should watch it in person. Nobody should watch it on tv. This team is not. They are not holding up their end of the bargain in putting a quality product on the field. And it's like anything else. If you. If every time you go to Wendy's, you get a stale bun, you stop going to Wendy's.
[01:37:44] Speaker C: Yep.
[01:37:44] Speaker B: Yeah, that's fair.
[01:37:45] Speaker A: Stop. Stop enabling this team to do this.
[01:37:48] Speaker B: You know what sucks? So we have to watch it so that we can tell you why you shouldn't have watched it.
[01:37:53] Speaker A: I don't want to watch it.
[01:37:54] Speaker B: I don't want to watch Bone. Who's your player to watch?
[01:37:59] Speaker C: Jerome Ford. I want to see that 50 yard run. Yeah.
[01:38:03] Speaker B: Yeah. Fair. Fair.
Boys, it's that time again. Besides the Browns Ronnie Joe's matchups that matter. No. It's time for gas to up.
[01:38:11] Speaker A: Oh, it's good.
[01:38:22] Speaker B: All right, so besides hides the Browns, what's getting us gassed up? Guys, I'm gonna go first again, here's mine. Why do they sell hot dogs in 10 packs but buns in 8 packs?
Why do they do it?
[01:38:35] Speaker A: Age old question.
[01:38:36] Speaker B: Because every time I'm getting ready for a cookout, I gotta buy hot dogs. It pisses me off.
[01:38:40] Speaker A: Are you having a cookout this weekend for Christmas?
[01:38:42] Speaker B: No, no, but somebody who is a big idiot just brought this fact up to me recently and I thought to myself, you know, that's a good question. It got me really gassed up and I was angry about, so I had to ask, like, unless you have toddlers, which we all do. So lucky. Lucky enough Ears aren't toddlers anymore, Bone. But I mean, lucky for us, like, probably those kids aren't gonna want a hot dog bun anyways. You just feed them a hot dog, but everybody else, like every normal human that's an adult, like, you eat a hot dog with a bun.
[01:39:12] Speaker A: What are you supposed to do with the two extra hot dogs?
[01:39:15] Speaker B: Yeah, what do you do?
[01:39:17] Speaker A: It's not like a hot dog.
[01:39:18] Speaker B: Am I supposed to put on a piece of fucking bread?
[01:39:20] Speaker A: It's not like a hot dog is like a meat you can put on a salad. Like, I'm cut up some hot dogs.
[01:39:23] Speaker B: Like, whoever came up with that idea should just go punch themselves in the face. Like, you. Come on, seriously, like, you. You literally did this just to piss us off. Like, that was the whole point of it. Like, oh, how can we piss off the. The general population today?
[01:39:37] Speaker A: I haven't.
[01:39:37] Speaker B: I got an idea.
[01:39:38] Speaker A: I haven't done the math.
[01:39:39] Speaker B: Hear me out, hear me out, hear me out.
Ten hot dogs, eight hot dog buns.
[01:39:46] Speaker A: I haven't done the math, but like, how many packs of each do you have to buy to get an even number?
[01:39:51] Speaker B: Well, you'd have to get to the. The ten. So it'd be.
[01:39:54] Speaker A: It'd be ten or eight.
[01:39:56] Speaker B: Eight packs of. Yeah, and ten packs of.
[01:39:59] Speaker A: Have an even number.
[01:40:01] Speaker B: What the man?
[01:40:02] Speaker A: 80 odds.
[01:40:03] Speaker C: Pack that, pack that.
[01:40:04] Speaker B: Fraser, that's insane.
[01:40:09] Speaker A: It is stupid.
[01:40:10] Speaker B: I don't know, I'm probably more guessed up than I should be. But as soon as that idiot told me that this was a thing and I remembered that it was a thing, I was. Was like, you know what? You're right.
And I had to talk about it. Fair enough. The idiot was you.
[01:40:22] Speaker A: Thank you.
[01:40:23] Speaker B: That's me, Bone. What do you got?
[01:40:27] Speaker C: All right, so this one just recently popped up today. So Saturday my girls go and have a movie night at a friend's house, which was. Which was lovely.
They ended up. They ended up Coming home, it was good. They hung out with. There's like an older daughter and a younger daughter. So it works out well for both my girls to go over at the same time.
And we. They. They came home, we. We. We went out and then we got home and we asked him. We're like, oh, how was it? Whatever, blah, blah, blah. And at some point, my wife. They had a good time. My wife was like, what. What about their dad? What was he doing? They're like, oh. Marley was just like, oh, he was sick. We're like, okay, Never thought anything of it. So we go. We go upon our day. Sunday goes along perfect. Today we see a Facebook.
[01:41:10] Speaker B: Kids are sick.
[01:41:11] Speaker C: No.
[01:41:11] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:41:12] Speaker C: Hopefully not.
We see a Facebook post from said household. Maybe the lady's just being dramatic. I don't know. But it's essentially saying for the last. I don't know, it sounded like three weeks a stomach bug has been going through their household.
And it literally was like saying like, oh, yeah, this daughter. And this daughter had it for five days, and then the next one got it for five days. And this is all like a recent post. And then like, the dad. Dad's now sick with it. And she's on Facebook here complaining to another lady who has the stomach bug in her family. And I'm like, so why were my girls at your house four days before Christmas?
[01:41:48] Speaker B: I hope she sees us. Whoever this lady is, I hope she sees it.
[01:41:52] Speaker C: I'm like, you're either that dense or you can't.
[01:41:54] Speaker B: Oh, I hope she sees it, or.
[01:41:55] Speaker C: You can't disappoint your kids enough to say, you know what? We're not going to have friends over because be responsible. We have a stomach flu in our house. So if. If our girls get a stomach bug, I'm sorry that I'm even here, but it's like, it's all hearsay. Right. Right now I'm. I'll be. I'll have another guest up next week.
[01:42:14] Speaker B: Yeah, No, I agree. Honestly, like, this is. This is one of the ones that gets me.
[01:42:19] Speaker C: I'm mind blown right now that this happened.
[01:42:21] Speaker B: Yeah, this is one of the ones that gets me guessed up because our.
[01:42:23] Speaker C: Daughter'S like a cold whatever. But a stomach bug, like, that's a different story with a kid especially.
[01:42:29] Speaker B: Right. And I agree. Colds are. Colds are one thing, but they go.
[01:42:32] Speaker C: Around all the time.
[01:42:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:42:33] Speaker C: You know, I just feel like a stomach bug. Stomach flu is on a whole another level that you don't.
[01:42:39] Speaker A: At least one of those things that you would say, hey, Just FYI, we've been sick. Like, just so you know. And then you can make the decision.
[01:42:46] Speaker C: Exactly.
[01:42:47] Speaker A: We'll chance and let the girls go over. Or maybe let's just. Let's just keep them home this week. We can get together next week or whatever.
[01:42:53] Speaker C: Yeah. Mind blown that an adult would make that decision.
[01:42:57] Speaker B: Yeah. No, and I agree. And. And to that point, Bone, it goes with, like, anything that's worse than a cold, basically.
[01:43:03] Speaker C: Sure.
[01:43:03] Speaker B: And in daycare. My daughter's in daycare. And just recently, like, this was a few months ago, but we got informed that one of the kids in. In her class, like, well, all of the kids in her class had been exposed to hand, foot, and mouth.
The kid with hand, foot, and mouth was there like. Like that day.
[01:43:26] Speaker C: Knowingly that they had it.
[01:43:27] Speaker B: Yeah. And that's what that. Basically, that's what I was getting is like, we found out that, like, yeah, he probably had it for, like, oh, like a week before they actually said, oh, yeah, that's hand, foot, and mouth. And then they made the kid go home. But, like, at that point, it doesn't matter. Everybody's gonna get it. Like, it's just. It's just crazy to me how inconsiderate other parents are. Like, I understand it's an inconvenience. It's hard because you gotta take off work potentially and do these things to take care of your kids and whatever. But, like, did we. Not that I thought, like, there was a lot of bad things that happened during COVID but there was. One of the good things was just, like, people kind of woke up a little bit to how germs spread. Sure. Like, you shouldn't. Why are we going to work? Why are we sending kids to school when they're, like, legitimately sick?
[01:44:12] Speaker A: Absolutely.
[01:44:12] Speaker B: Like, why.
[01:44:13] Speaker A: Why are we going to work when we're sick?
[01:44:14] Speaker B: That's my point. Yeah. Like, why are we doing these things? Like, just. Especially with today's day and age, like, kids can get their work on a computer. My kids in daycare. It doesn't matter. Your kids can get. Get their schoolwork on a computer. We could do our work from home. Like, what are we doing if you're sick? Stay home. Don't go around a bunch of other people.
[01:44:32] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, I think Bones is worse.
[01:44:34] Speaker B: Because it's a. Oh, that was directly affected.
[01:44:37] Speaker A: I mean, like, nursery. Like, I. I'll almost give you the benefit of the doubt because there's some jobs that, like, it's either really hard or impossible to take time off last second. But it's like, what are you supposed to do with your kid?
[01:44:49] Speaker C: Sure.
[01:44:49] Speaker A: But like a play date or, you.
[01:44:51] Speaker C: Know, okay, let's do the movie night next week.
[01:44:53] Speaker A: We've been sick for weeks when we.
[01:44:55] Speaker C: Don'T literally have a sick person in the house vomiting and probably crapping their pants.
[01:45:00] Speaker B: I hope Bone has another gas tub next week. I, I, I'm sorry I added to yours.
[01:45:04] Speaker C: Wish that on me.
[01:45:05] Speaker B: I don't, I don't.
[01:45:05] Speaker A: Don't put that evil on.
[01:45:07] Speaker B: I don't hope your girls get sick. But I just want to hear you rant and rave about this again.
And I apologize for hijacking it for a second there. It's just, it got me going too, because it brought up memories that I don't like.
[01:45:17] Speaker C: So, I mean, they had my girls had a great time at this house, you know, so whatever.
[01:45:23] Speaker B: But listen, lady, who let, who let Bones kids come over? He's not mad at you. He's just disappointed.
[01:45:30] Speaker A: Disappointed that you're not get your together you and Kirk Curbs.
[01:45:35] Speaker C: Maybe it was just being sensationalized on Facebook for sympathy. That's, that's, that's our hope is it was just dramatized on Facebook, which is.
[01:45:41] Speaker B: A whole other subject. So. Lady, don't do that.
[01:45:44] Speaker A: Everybody feel bad for me.
[01:45:45] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Kenny, are you guessed up about something? What are you gassed up about, Kenny?
[01:45:48] Speaker A: Okay, I'm gassed up by I happen to hear something on the radio.
I've been home a lot this year, so I haven't been driving as much as usual.
You know Frank Thomas, the big hurt?
[01:46:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:46:06] Speaker A: Doug Flutie.
[01:46:07] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:46:08] Speaker A: What do they always push him?
[01:46:10] Speaker B: Ed medication.
[01:46:12] Speaker C: Is it Ed or is it something.
[01:46:13] Speaker A: Just a test Test booster, not a p paid advertisement for New Genics. But we're going to talk about New Genics here.
[01:46:20] Speaker B: Oh, gosh. Are we going to get cease and desisted? Because they're going to be pissed at us.
[01:46:24] Speaker A: I don't think they can cease and desist me over this because have you heard the commercials for New Genics? Like, like give me your best New Genics commercial. How does it.
[01:46:32] Speaker B: I, I don't know exactly, but I know Frank Thomas says something like, frank the Tank is back. Like, they talk about him, like, having his energy back.
[01:46:40] Speaker A: What do they say about the product?
[01:46:42] Speaker B: They say it, it boosts your energy, makes you better in the bedroom and all these other feel like a whole new person. Yeah, yeah.
[01:46:52] Speaker A: Due to our patented ingredient.
[01:46:57] Speaker B: What?
[01:46:58] Speaker C: Caffeine?
[01:46:58] Speaker A: Testofen. Okay, okay, so that's for. Since New Genics has come Out.
[01:47:05] Speaker B: You paid way too close attention. Because I would have never. I like how you say, give me your best New genics. Like I was just gonna spit out Testofin. What the fuck's wrong with you?
[01:47:12] Speaker A: Yeah, like. Like that's what I like. When I think of new Genics. Like, I can hear the guy in my head being like, due to our patented product Testofen. Let me just. Let me just play this for you.
[01:47:22] Speaker B: All right.
[01:47:22] Speaker A: Let me just play this.
[01:47:26] Speaker B: Can you believe this? Doug Flutie and Frank Thomas. You guys looks great once I turn 40.
[01:47:31] Speaker D: Let me guess.
[01:47:32] Speaker B: Less energy, less drive.
[01:47:33] Speaker C: Definitely.
[01:47:34] Speaker B: It's not your fault. It happens to every man.
[01:47:36] Speaker A: Testosterone levels drop as you age.
[01:47:38] Speaker B: Happened to you guys?
[01:47:39] Speaker A: Yep.
[01:47:40] Speaker B: So what did you do?
[01:47:41] Speaker A: We Total Tea to get your complimentary bottle of new genics.
[01:47:45] Speaker B: Total tea. Text fresh.
[01:47:47] Speaker C: 2, 3, 2, 1.
[01:47:48] Speaker A: 3, 2, 1. This unique man boosting formula is powered by Chester, a patented key ingredient clinically researched to help increase testosterone levels. All right, so that's. That's the new genics, essentially, by the way.
[01:48:00] Speaker B: That's what I was getting at, by the way. She'll like it too.
[01:48:02] Speaker A: Essentially. That's the.
That has been running since New genics was hit. It hit the market.
[01:48:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay.
[01:48:10] Speaker A: Yeah, okay. So I'm driving along. I'm actually pulling in my driveway, and.
[01:48:15] Speaker B: You'Re like, I want some of this. What's Testofen?
[01:48:18] Speaker A: And this commercial comes on the air now. New Jenks isn't new. It's been around for a while, right? That same commercial powered by Testin, our patented product that creates, you know, testosterone boost and all this stuff.
Take a listen to this.
[01:48:37] Speaker B: Hello, welcome to Tea Town.
[01:48:39] Speaker A: Like, man over 40, everywhere, these guys.
[01:48:41] Speaker B: Experience a drop in testosterone.
[01:48:43] Speaker A: Don't worry.
[01:48:43] Speaker B: It happens to all of us.
[01:48:45] Speaker A: Some guys took my advice about how.
[01:48:46] Speaker B: To boost their testosterone and some didn't.
This guy got the message loud and clear.
[01:48:52] Speaker A: That's right.
[01:48:53] Speaker D: Nugenix Total T. Nugenix Total T is.
[01:48:56] Speaker A: The unique man boosting formula powered by Tesno, a key ingredient clinically researched to help increase testosterone levels. Powered by Tesner.
For years, it's been powered by the patented Testofen.
Now powered by Tesner.
If that doesn't sound like maybe you should be a part of a class action lawsuit, I don't know what does.
[01:49:22] Speaker B: I mean, what in the actual fuck.
[01:49:25] Speaker A: They just changed, literally, literally the ingredient that. That boosts your testosterone.
[01:49:31] Speaker B: They were banking on me. You said, what was it powered by? I don't know. I literally have no idea.
[01:49:37] Speaker A: They were just hoping people didn't catch that.
[01:49:39] Speaker B: I mean, literally, first of all, let's be honest. If you got low T, why are you taking New Genics? Like, why aren't you just going to your doctor and getting prescribed testosterone? Because that's what they do.
[01:49:51] Speaker A: Well, because a lot of people are still, like, they want to treat things holistically. So, like, the.
[01:49:55] Speaker B: The new genics is holistically.
[01:49:57] Speaker A: New genics is like a. It's like a vitamin supplement. It's made out of like, grassroots and pomegranate peels and shit. Like, that's apparently what these things are made out of. But anyways, I just. They just. They just like slipped that in there. Like, we. We were using Testofen, now we're not.
We got this new thing, Tesner.
[01:50:19] Speaker B: I like how it.
[01:50:19] Speaker A: Don't ask us about it, but it's. It's also good for test boosting.
[01:50:22] Speaker B: I like how it's literally like the same phrase too. So they could have just like dubbed it over. Like, they didn't even have to reshoot the commercial. They're just like, powered by Tesner.
[01:50:32] Speaker A: Like, what in the actual hell? Like, so I was just think. I'm just like, how is this even possible? Like, how do you.
[01:50:38] Speaker B: Did you look up the ingredients?
[01:50:41] Speaker A: I did. And Testofin was some kind of like, root extract. Tesner is like, it's literally pomegranate peel and like banana peel or something.
So none of this is based in actual science or medical.
[01:50:56] Speaker B: It sounds to me like new genics probably doesn't work, let's be honest.
[01:50:59] Speaker A: But. But I started like, googling it. I'm like, this has to like, I can't be the only person that on the planet that noticed this change in their marketing to this, like, very popular product that's been around for years and there's almost nothing about this.
I finally stumbled across, like, one website, website that was like, there's a ton of lawsuits aimed at products that had Testofen in them. And that was like, I found like, on like one article on like, one health supplement site. So I don't even know, like, how true that is, but I just found it very odd that they could take their patented key ingredient that boosts your testosterone, take it out and replace it with a new key ingredient that boosts your testosterone. And we're just not supposed to ask any questions. Chesner, just trust Frank Thomas, Doug Fluty, you know.
[01:51:49] Speaker B: Listen, I'm be honest with you guys. I guarantee you those guys don't take New Genics.
Guaranteed.
[01:51:55] Speaker A: That's not how the hurt lost all that weight.
[01:51:58] Speaker B: No. Guarantee it. Guarantee it.
[01:52:00] Speaker A: Come on.
[01:52:00] Speaker B: But it's nice to know that you're getting gassed up about all this. So everybody, collectively, let's take a quick cleansing breath.
We okay now.
[01:52:10] Speaker A: Still gassed up about it?
[01:52:11] Speaker B: No. One more.
Wow. It's time for the burning river throwdown. Ho.
[01:52:19] Speaker A: Now.
[01:52:49] Speaker B: All right, all right, all right, all right. I hope everybody was able to dance it out.
[01:52:54] Speaker A: I thought you guys would be more turned up about the test of him.
[01:52:59] Speaker B: It's something I've literally never thought about is new genics until right now.
[01:53:04] Speaker A: But actually, can you just like, like slip that out?
[01:53:08] Speaker B: I mean, I'm with you. It sounds like a class action lawsuit that I'm not a part of, so I don't care.
But anyways, let's get into the King of the North.
[01:53:15] Speaker A: King of the North.
[01:53:26] Speaker B: You ready?
[01:53:27] Speaker A: No.
[01:53:28] Speaker B: All right. In case anyone doesn't know by now, this is our year long AFC north pickup competition. At the end of the season, whoever comes in last place gets punished. In the preseason last year, Kenny had a gross of eggs thrown at him by fans in the muni lot before a game. And preseason this year, Kenny had his entire head of hair and beard shaved clean off. Punishment this season will be you have to go to a public pool, get in the pool, and then publicly announce that you have peed and said pool don't actually pee. You just announced that you've peed. And in case this is illegal, we're still looking into that. You will have to eat as many hot dogs as you possibly can until you vomit.
Kenny, we're getting close.
[01:54:01] Speaker A: We're not there yet.
[01:54:02] Speaker B: We're not there. You still got a chance. Still got a chance.
[01:54:05] Speaker A: Not there yet.
[01:54:06] Speaker B: Let's get into things before we get started. First things first. Want to remind everybody that Bone is the reigning defending King of the North. Kenny, you're a clown. Let's remind everybody what the current records are. After week 16, bone in first place at 31 and 19. That's going to be pretty hard to catch him. I'm in second place at 27 and 23. And Kenny. Kenny is right behind me at 25 and 25.
So let's get into this week's games. The Ravens head to Houston to take on the Texans with a chance to steal the division from the Steelers. You see what I did there?
[01:54:39] Speaker A: Steal still?
[01:54:40] Speaker B: Yeah. Kenny, who you got?
[01:54:44] Speaker A: I'm gonna go Ravens on this. And this one is they're a better football team. Houston just lost Tank Dell forever.
Brooke's leg in, like, 16 places out.
[01:54:53] Speaker B: It was bad.
[01:54:54] Speaker A: And did you see the re.
[01:54:56] Speaker B: Like, the slow. Like, the slow motion when his, like, it was not.
[01:54:59] Speaker A: Oh, not good at all.
[01:55:00] Speaker B: Did you see that bone?
[01:55:02] Speaker C: I didn't see it. I would have heard it on the radio.
[01:55:04] Speaker B: I would have thought, being the bone, man, you would have seen it.
[01:55:05] Speaker A: But this Raven. This Raven seems very. It's just very, very good. I think Lamar is taking the end of this season very personally, given how the last couple seasons have finished out for them. And I expect him to just be on his game going into this.
[01:55:21] Speaker B: Fair enough. He'd won a piece of all the action.
[01:55:22] Speaker A: He'd want a piece of it all.
[01:55:23] Speaker B: Yeah, I got the Ravens as well. All the same reasons I was actually tempted to go Houston until Tank Dell broke his leg. And then I was like.
[01:55:34] Speaker A: I mean, it's not like Tank Dell is, like, the biggest part of their offense, but, like.
[01:55:37] Speaker B: No, but, like, he's. He is a big part of their office.
[01:55:39] Speaker A: He had, like. Like eight catches for 100 yards in that game.
[01:55:42] Speaker B: Yeah. And he's. He's. He's like C.J. stroud's Safety Valley valve because they're best friends. So he is a good player.
[01:55:48] Speaker A: He's just not their number.
[01:55:49] Speaker B: Also, whoever. All these people came out that were like, there was a bunch of people giving CJ Stroud shit for, like, crying and, like, being upset. Like, like, again after the game, he was like, that's my best. Like, he's my roommate. He's my best friend. Like, it hurt when he went down.
[01:56:03] Speaker A: I mean, all the Browns cried when we booed desean Watson, so.
[01:56:06] Speaker B: Well, fair. So, Bone, who you got?
[01:56:09] Speaker C: I also got the Ravens. I was just looking it up because I was seeing what the Texans have to play for. I mean, they obviously want to win, but. But they already won their division, so. They already clinched.
[01:56:17] Speaker A: Yeah, they're in a shit, so they don't have to win.
[01:56:19] Speaker C: So they're in the playoffs, which is.
[01:56:20] Speaker B: Funny because they've got a worse record than they already clinched their division. Right.
[01:56:24] Speaker C: So the Ravens have much more to play for, I think, here, and they're better team. So Ravens.
[01:56:29] Speaker B: Yep. Next up here. Cincinnati will try to stay alive in the playoff hunt as they host the Broncos. The Broncos are one of the teams they have to jump, if I'm not mistaken. So this is a really, really big matchup.
I'm going to go first. I think Cincinnati gets it done.
They've been on fire lately. They've won three games in a row. I think it is.
Joe Burrow is still playing at an MVP caliber level. Like he's just. He's playing really well.
Their defense, I mean, not that they played the Browns last week, so they were going to have a good game, but their defense played well last week. I expect them to. To get the win at home and at least for another week, stay in the playoff hunt. So I got Cincinnati.
Bone, who you got?
[01:57:17] Speaker C: I also am going Cincinnati. Home game must win. Keep the playoff chances alive. I think Joey B. Is going to have another great day.
[01:57:26] Speaker B: Kenny, who you got?
[01:57:28] Speaker A: I'm going Broncos here in a crowded AFC West. They are fighting for the final playoffs, but are one of the the final playoff spots here. So I just. I'm just a believer in what this team's done this year with Bo Nicks of all people at quarterback.
[01:57:43] Speaker B: Is it 100% that or is just a little bit because you have to pick opposite of me to.
[01:57:49] Speaker A: No. So like I wrote none of my picks earlier and right now I'm sticking to them. So they're. I'm two for two on picks that I wrote down before you picked.
[01:57:56] Speaker B: All right, next up here, Steel Steelers host the Chiefs as they try to end their two game losing streak and hold off the late season charge from the Ravens. Bone, who you got?
[01:58:10] Speaker A: Oh, boy.
[01:58:11] Speaker B: I'm.
[01:58:12] Speaker C: I'm gonna go Chiefs. I feel like the Steelers have a lot to play for, but the Chiefs just keep winning.
So I think they're gonna win fair. That's all I got.
[01:58:24] Speaker B: Kenny, who you got?
[01:58:34] Speaker A: I think you have to pick first because you're winning.
[01:58:36] Speaker B: That's not how it goes. This is real. I mean, I don't care. I'll pick first. I'm going Steelers.
You son of a. I think the Steelers are going to. Mike Tomlin's a very good coach. I just keep saying. I'll keep saying it over and over again and honestly, I think the Steelers have the better team.
I was a naysayer for most of the season. I have admitted already that I was wrong. The Steelers have a solid team this year, especially given the fact that even though he's washed, he's playing decent football right now with Russell Wilson and yeah, I just think they get it done at home. If it was. If it was in Kansas City, I'd be picking the other way. But it's in Pittsburgh and they're playing for a division.
[01:59:18] Speaker C: This is a hard one to pick right here.
[01:59:20] Speaker B: They're playing for a division at the division at home. So I like the Steelers here. Kenny.
[01:59:25] Speaker A: I Guess I picked the Steelers on my list. That's where I was going to go. But I guess I'm praying for the Chiefs to win now.
[01:59:36] Speaker B: You know you have another week after this, right?
[01:59:38] Speaker C: Are they 14 and one right now.
[01:59:40] Speaker A: In their division games?
[01:59:42] Speaker B: That's fair. What'd you say, Bone? Are the.
[01:59:44] Speaker C: Are the Chiefs 14 and 1?
[01:59:46] Speaker A: They are 14 1, but they haven't.
[01:59:48] Speaker C: Everything's locked up.
[01:59:48] Speaker A: Yeah, they haven't locked up. Oh, okay. Home field advantage.
[01:59:51] Speaker C: So they still. They still want to win. I mean, obviously they want to win every game, but they still have something to play for.
[01:59:56] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:59:56] Speaker B: Yep. Better question is probably who is the Chiefs last game against? And it is against the Broncos.
[02:00:04] Speaker A: Well, the thing is, if you're the Chiefs, you want to win this week and lock up advantage before not have.
[02:00:10] Speaker B: To play fair enough. They'd want a piece of all the action, so.
All right. Which is going to be interesting, Kenny.
It's either going to be tied going next week.
[02:00:22] Speaker A: I'm either going to be.
[02:00:23] Speaker B: Or it's going to be over.
[02:00:23] Speaker A: I'm going to be the biggest Chiefs fan ever next week or I'll kill myself.
[02:00:27] Speaker B: Yeah, I hope it's that one.
And then finally the Browns will be in Cleveland taking on so many hot dogs.
[02:00:36] Speaker A: He puked.
[02:00:38] Speaker B: The Browns will be in Cleveland taking on Miami. I'll start this one since I have to go before Kenny and every pick.
[02:00:46] Speaker A: Browns in Cleveland. Why isn't Miami in Cleveland?
[02:00:48] Speaker B: Because it doesn't matter. I was trying to illustrate that it doesn't matter where they play, they're still going to lose. So that ruins that. You stole my thunder again, you thunder.
I got the Browns winning or take it back? Yeah, I got Miami winning and I don't think it's going to be close. I don't think we get a blizzard like we would like and I think Miami wins. We'll call it 34 to 12.
[02:01:25] Speaker C: His quarterback again.
[02:01:26] Speaker B: No, it's not going to be 12. We won't kick enough field goals for that. 34 to 13 extra point missed. That's a for sure thing.
Kenny, who you got?
[02:01:38] Speaker A: Fins up, bro. So I'm going to go Dolphins 26, Browns 9.
[02:01:47] Speaker B: You're sticking with the field goals, huh? Just one field goal. Missed extra point.
[02:01:51] Speaker A: Yeah, missed extra point for sure. And then a made field goal somewhere along the way.
[02:01:56] Speaker B: I should have. I should have went 15 because I think they're actually not just. They're just not going to kick extra points. They're going to get 12 point conversion.
[02:02:05] Speaker A: Sorry, I'm going to say 27 to 9, not 26.
[02:02:08] Speaker B: All right, bone who you got?
[02:02:10] Speaker C: Hey, I was going to say 27.
[02:02:12] Speaker A: You can still say 20.
[02:02:13] Speaker C: I'll still say it. Miami 27, Browns 11.
Browns get a safety this week.
[02:02:21] Speaker B: That's where we're going with. Is it Miles Garrett?
[02:02:22] Speaker A: It's calling the safety.
[02:02:23] Speaker B: Is it Miles Garrett?
[02:02:24] Speaker C: It is Miles Garrett.
[02:02:25] Speaker B: Hell yes. I like that.
[02:02:26] Speaker A: Three field goals in the safety.
[02:02:28] Speaker D: Yeah, exactly.
[02:02:30] Speaker B: All right, so that'll do it for king of the North. Let me remind everybody to call the bring over sportscast.

[02:04:21] Speaker A: Can I number one.
[02:04:23] Speaker B: Number one.
[02:04:25] Speaker A: Let's say you were in a man made spacecraft.
[02:04:29] Speaker B: You were in a man made spacecraft.
[02:04:30] Speaker A: Traveling as fast as a man made spacecraft has Ever achieved.
[02:04:35] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:04:36] Speaker A: Fastest thing on the planet.
[02:04:37] Speaker B: Wait, did we use slingshot method? Allah. Armageddon.
[02:04:44] Speaker A: Yes. We're going as fast as you can go.
[02:04:46] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:04:47] Speaker A: In a man made spacecraft without just combusting.
[02:04:50] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:04:52] Speaker A: That's pretty fast.
[02:04:53] Speaker B: It's pretty fast.
[02:04:54] Speaker A: It would take 19,000 years to reach the closest star in our solar system.
[02:04:58] Speaker C: Wow.
[02:05:00] Speaker B: I could do it.
[02:05:03] Speaker C: That's so crazy.
[02:05:05] Speaker A: This is so big.
[02:05:07] Speaker B: That's the dumbest thing ever.
[02:05:08] Speaker A: Doesn't make any sense.
[02:05:09] Speaker B: I hate space. It's almost as scary as the ocean.
[02:05:13] Speaker A: Number two, the probability of you drinking glass of water that contains a molecule of water that also passed through a dinosaur. Yes. Dinosaur pee is nearly 100%.
[02:05:27] Speaker B: Wow.
[02:05:28] Speaker C: Interesting.
[02:05:30] Speaker B: I love that dinosaur piss.
Always quenching my thirst.
[02:05:35] Speaker A: And to round it out.
And that's same glass of water.
There are more atoms in said glass of water than there are glasses of water in all of the oceans on the earth.
[02:05:50] Speaker C: That's crazy.
[02:05:51] Speaker B: Incredible.
You just talked about space being crazy. Let's just talk about like molecular quantum molecular science.
[02:05:58] Speaker A: Science like what?
[02:06:00] Speaker B: What?
[02:06:01] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:06:02] Speaker B: What?
[02:06:03] Speaker A: Space is big.
Atoms are small.
[02:06:06] Speaker B: The craziest part about atoms, most of it is just like. Like nothing.
[02:06:10] Speaker C: Emptiness.
[02:06:11] Speaker B: It's just nothing.
[02:06:12] Speaker A: Yes. There's nothing.
[02:06:13] Speaker B: But air is something. So it's not even air. It's literally just nothing.
[02:06:16] Speaker A: Mostly empty space.
[02:06:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:06:17] Speaker A: That's true.
[02:06:18] Speaker B: It's wild.
