[00:00:00] Speaker A: Type in media.
[00:00:22] Speaker B: It's time. Time for the burning river sportscast. We are on site at the 23rd annual Kent Brownsbacker scoff outing presented by yours truly, burning river sportscast among us others. Otas are in full sesh offseason, rosters are full and we're just out here dong swinging, talking to brownsbeckers all afternoon about what else with the Browns and, you know, we'll break it all down for you next on the burning river sportscast.
[00:00:45] Speaker A: Woo.
[00:00:54] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:00:55] Speaker C: I like to eat, wear loose underwear.
[00:00:59] Speaker A: What about what else is but whole?
[00:01:04] Speaker B: Who do you think you are?
[00:01:05] Speaker C: I am.
[00:01:06] Speaker A: Yeah. See, you get it. Literally any, probably nobody. Literally nobody is better than Kenny Pickett. Like, just put nobody back. Probably better.
We're full dog swinging at that point.
[00:01:17] Speaker B: Full dog swinging.
[00:01:17] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:01:19] Speaker D: Hell yeah. I'm excited for a brown season. I'm.
Let me tell you what, Miles Garrett, that man is hard.
[00:01:27] Speaker C: He's a big dude. Yeah, he's his.
[00:01:29] Speaker D: The way he ran over that one guy last year, I don't even know what to say, radar.
[00:01:35] Speaker E: Little things like we forgot stadium mustard this year. Luckily, luckily, I don't think anybody's complained about it and that's actually kind of.
[00:01:41] Speaker B: I was going to.
[00:01:43] Speaker A: What do you think the Browns are going to do this year?
[00:01:45] Speaker E: Hopefully not suck.
[00:01:48] Speaker B: Are you saying Naheem Hines isn't a top tier running back?
[00:01:51] Speaker A: No, he's not.
He's not bad. I like Naheed Hines, but he's not a top tier running back.
[00:01:57] Speaker F: So at the end of the day, man, I'll take our dogs over anybody when it comes down to that fourth quarter. Got to get it, you know what I mean?
[00:02:06] Speaker G: At the end of the day, it's about the community, right? It's the Browns fan community being together the whole time. And how many trips have you guys been on? Is it sports or personal where you meet someone from your hometown or another Browns fan and you guys become best friends on the trip, you know, just because you have that thing in common with them. And it's cool because we'll have one central location where everyone's staying. You're going to see people at breakfast, the slot machines, you know, on your walks around the town. So I really think, you know, we're just going to be a small part of the invasion, let's call it Vegas. You know, there'll be the true fan travel group, will be other Browns fans there. They'll be the local Browns backers chapter. So, you know, we're just a small little piece of the weekend, but it's definitely the vip way to go and a way to get all these different opportunities and experiences and want.
[00:02:58] Speaker D: Yeah, but I'm a Republican, so I don't do the Democrat shit.
[00:03:02] Speaker B: Okay.
Welcome into the burning river sportscast by the fine folks at tap in media. I'm Kenny Thunder, seated beside the guidance counselor. You never knew you needed. Mister Red Hopper on he jams. Bone man is back on the equipment today. Big bone, how's the start of your summer going?
[00:03:24] Speaker C: Oh, it's really good. Yeah. Getting some good color on my face.
[00:03:27] Speaker B: Have you done anything fun yet?
[00:03:30] Speaker C: We went to Columbus for a graduation party. That was it?
[00:03:34] Speaker B: That's your summer?
[00:03:35] Speaker C: Yeah, that's it.
[00:03:35] Speaker A: Good.
[00:03:35] Speaker B: Eventful.
You didn't go on vacation?
[00:03:38] Speaker C: We're going on vacation when school starts up again.

[00:04:48] Speaker A: It's a Nick Chubb autograph football.
[00:04:49] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:04:50] Speaker A: And then we're gonna get out there, we're gonna party with everyone. Cause I was your podcast all day when you should be out there just drinking and hitting, you know, playing golf.
[00:04:59] Speaker B: I will say that we've got beautiful weather out here today for this.
[00:05:02] Speaker A: It's fantastic. What is it? Like? Just under 70, sunny, perfect. Right now, no wind. Yeah, it's awesome. So watch out for flying balls and keep your head down as we hack it up on this week's version of the Burning river sportscast. Let's get things started with the news story of the week.
[00:05:26] Speaker C: So, newsy, you guys are famous.
[00:05:28] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:05:29] Speaker A: We're the most famous people no one's ever heard of.
[00:05:31] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:05:35] Speaker C: Biggest thing to come out of Portage county.
[00:05:37] Speaker A: And I'm starting to get nervous our tent's gonna fly away.
[00:05:40] Speaker B: We are d list celebrities.
[00:05:41] Speaker C: Has it moved yet?
[00:05:42] Speaker A: It's kinda starting to wobble a little bit.
[00:05:44] Speaker C: We had a sail behind us.
[00:05:46] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. What do we do here? Let's keep it going.
[00:05:49] Speaker B: It'll be okay.
[00:05:51] Speaker A: All right. For this week's burning over, new story of the week. A remote Amazon tribe that has been isolated from the outside world for a thousand years and hasn't had much contact outside of their tribe with other humans in that timeframe, was given Starlink and access to the Internet.
[00:06:08] Speaker B: Thanks, Elon.
[00:06:09] Speaker A: A whole new world was opened up to these people.
They could. They had the world at their fingertips. And what happened? Where did it lead?
Well, I'll tell you. Within days, the entire tribe was addicted to porn.
[00:06:23] Speaker B: So what else do you use the Internet for?
[00:06:26] Speaker A: I mean, you.
[00:06:27] Speaker C: Are you sure it was the whole tribe?
[00:06:29] Speaker A: The entire tribe.
[00:06:30] Speaker B: At least all the men.
[00:06:31] Speaker A: At least all the men. They were displaying aggressive sexual behavior after that.
[00:06:37] Speaker B: So it's like all of a sudden you're connected to the world, and in a second, and you have all this information at your fingertips, this thing's gonna fly away, guys. But I'm sure all it took was one guy that typed in, like, butt, and they were like, whoa, wait.
[00:06:54] Speaker A: If I could type in. But what about.
[00:06:56] Speaker C: What else is but whole?
[00:07:00] Speaker B: So, yes, this is unfortunate, but it sounds like, yeah, they're getting the full dose of poor and social media, and it's worrying. Tribal leaders, they initially were excited about the educational opportunities, things like being able to treat venomous snake bites, like how to emergency. About that, yeah. Having just some kind of way to reach the outside world in the event of an emergency, but I can definitely see the benefits. But by and large, they are using it for what it's supposed to be.
[00:07:27] Speaker A: Well, let's be honest, though. What do they say about smartphones? Right?
Phones kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller until the advent of the smartphone. You could access the Internet from your phone and you can watch porn on your phone. And then all of a sudden, the screens kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
[00:07:42] Speaker C: So do you think it would be necessary for Elon to, like, put some filters on for these folks, or is that just, you know, Elon, he's not.
[00:07:48] Speaker A: About to censor, but, yeah, he's not about censorship.
[00:07:51] Speaker B: He's a free press guy.
[00:07:52] Speaker A: He's like, let him. Let him. Let him do what they're gonna do.
[00:07:54] Speaker B: Let them have their porn.
[00:07:55] Speaker C: I mean, maybe just take out onlyfans for them or just don't let them access that.
[00:08:01] Speaker A: Maybe he could start an onlyfans for him.
[00:08:06] Speaker B: Can you imagine the Marubu tribe just with their own onlyfans? That's how they're gonna get paid.
[00:08:11] Speaker C: Very exclusive.
[00:08:14] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:08:15] Speaker C: Come to find out, they're making millions, like, for the tribe.
[00:08:17] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. They become influencers.
[00:08:20] Speaker B: Onlyfans influence right there along the Atui river in the Amazon.
[00:08:24] Speaker A: Wow. Well, I guess we should talk about some football.
That'll take us to the burning river rundown.
All right, guys, so starting to get hairy here.
[00:08:40] Speaker B: It's lunchtime. Guys are getting sausages.
[00:08:42] Speaker A: People are getting excited. We've now, we started the podcast about halfway into the outing. So people probably, we're starting to see friends, we're getting waves. We're pretty famous. What can I say?
[00:08:52] Speaker B: We've got a plunko board here in front of us.
[00:08:54] Speaker A: I'm pretty sure, like, everybody's on the verge of being hammer drunk right now.
[00:08:58] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, we're getting there.
[00:09:00] Speaker A: But anyways, before we get started with the burning of rundown, I do want to give a quick shout out to the North Jersey brownsbackers, our friends in North Jersey, they had their golf outing yesterday, the annual angry open that we were a sponsor of as well here. Everything went very well. Everybody had a blast. There was lots of alcohol drink.
It was a lot of fun.
[00:09:20] Speaker B: Set a new record.
[00:09:21] Speaker A: It set a new record. Yeah.
[00:09:22] Speaker B: They most alcohol ever drink at an outing.
[00:09:25] Speaker A: They did. I think that's unconfirmed, unconfirmed rumor. The guy from the Guinness Book of World Records never showed up. So true. They couldn't confirm it, but couldn't put it down. But it was a good time. So let's get into football here. Let's start out with everybody's favorite player, Nick Chubb. Nick Chubb. The news kind of came through in the last couple weeks that there's a possibility he might not be returning until mid season or even later. So, basically, we're looking at the first half of the season in the running backs room, we got Dante Foreman, Naheed Hines, Jerome Ford, Pierre Strong, John Kelly and Aiden Robbins. So, I mean, how do you guys feel about this? You think, you think we're going to be able to kind of tread water until Nick Chubb gets back to save the day?
[00:10:10] Speaker B: I think, first off, the interesting thing about Nick Chubb is initially, though, that was the reports right there. It would be mid season or later. Then all of a sudden Nick Chubb shows up to Otas this week and he's talking about how motivated he is because he's seen his teammates and how he's kind of been through this whole thing before and was able to come back earlier than expected. So I think fingers are still crossed that he may end up back before midseason, which would be great.
Look down to Foreman, Naheem Hines, those are the guys that they brought in the offseason to kind of carry the Nick Chubb load until he's, he's back and healthy.
I'm not high on either one of these guys.
I guess I'm more comfortable with Naheem Hines and Foreman than I am with the trio we had last year with Ford and these guys.
[00:10:57] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm over for it. I think we should just get rid of him before the season starts. I'm ready to. Just who I'm excited about is actually this undrafted free agent rookie that we got out of BYU, Aidan Robbins. That dude's a tank.
[00:11:09] Speaker B: Big kid. 62237. Where's the full back number?
[00:11:15] Speaker A: That dude looks like a specimen.
[00:11:19] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, we'll see. I don't know what kind of wheels he has, but you only need wheels.
[00:11:24] Speaker A: When he got heart.
[00:11:28] Speaker C: So are you predicting he's making this team, Ronnie?
[00:11:30] Speaker A: Yes, I am for sure makes a team out of this group. Right. So how many, how many running backs we typically carry?
[00:11:38] Speaker B: Four at least.
[00:11:40] Speaker A: So, yeah, we'll just say four.
[00:11:42] Speaker B: Cause, I mean, if you're last year, what we had, you had Kareem, you had Pierre, and you had Jerome was basically what you had after Nick Jack went down.
[00:11:51] Speaker A: I see Jerome being gone. I see.
I see Jerome being. So this is six right here, right? 123456.
[00:12:01] Speaker B: Too many right now.
[00:12:02] Speaker A: Yeah, I see Jerome being gone. I see John Kelly being gone and I actually see, well, that's probably at the start the season at least. I think that's what it's going to be. Aiden Robbins, depending on how he does early on, maybe practice squad guy to start, but I see those are the four we'll stick with. Dante Foreman, Naheem Hines, Pierre strong and Aidan Robbins, I think that's.
[00:12:24] Speaker B: And you may end up rostering an extra running back or a wide receiver just because of the new kickoff rules as well. If one of those guys ends of being a returning option. Yeah. So likely a wide receiver, but could be a running back as well.
[00:12:38] Speaker A: Bone, anybody stick out to you?
[00:12:41] Speaker C: Well, from what you told me about Aidan Robins, I like. I like that. But I'm excited for Naim Hines. I always liked him as just like, you know, a third down back, and he seemed to take over more time and, well, he was an Indy for a while, right?
[00:12:52] Speaker A: Yeah, Indy. And then where was he last year? He looked good.
[00:12:54] Speaker C: You know, he's been hurt. He's been hurt for a year.
[00:12:56] Speaker A: So, yeah, I don't like the injury part of it, but I like the fact that the Browns got him super cheap. So, to be honest with you, like, even though he's a known name and people, you know, they know there's potential there. There's really no expectations on him because he is coming off an injury. He's always kind of been like that secondary back. Not necessarily the guy, but he has.
[00:13:18] Speaker C: He's proven to be effective runner, and he's done it in big spots.
[00:13:21] Speaker A: So I agree.
[00:13:22] Speaker C: I think he'll. He'll add to that running back room until Nick Chubb gets back.
[00:13:26] Speaker A: Yeah, well, how insane would that be, though, if they bring in Dante foreman and Naheed Hines? And Aidan Robbins is the guy that comes. He's like, I wasn't even drafted, and I'm the guy.
[00:13:35] Speaker C: I mean, it happens every year with rookie running backs who are just. They're fresh. And not to mention, though, that he's also coming off an injury. From what I read, I think he missed about half the season last year at.
[00:13:46] Speaker A: That's true, too. Yeah.
[00:13:47] Speaker B: What if Aidan Robbins is just the next Nick Chubb? No.
Derek Henry.
[00:13:53] Speaker A: Well, I wouldn't mind.
[00:13:54] Speaker B: Just a big bruising back.
[00:13:56] Speaker A: Whoa. I think Derek Henry's bigger than 237. Derek Henry is a massive humanity.
[00:14:02] Speaker B: I don't know. It's hard to play running back much heavier than 240.
[00:14:05] Speaker A: Let's find out.
[00:14:07] Speaker B: Derek Henry's 250.
[00:14:10] Speaker A: He's a big boy.
[00:14:11] Speaker C: He's tall.
[00:14:12] Speaker A: He's got a big frames on the Ravens. That's.
[00:14:15] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't like that at all.
[00:14:16] Speaker B: That's bad, bad news.
[00:14:18] Speaker A: That's not good. Derek Henry right here. 63247. Yeah.
You don't run into him and live.
[00:14:28] Speaker B: All right, so aiden Robbins, he has ten pounds on Aidan.
[00:14:32] Speaker A: Yeah, but, yeah, so, I mean, I think that we. I. To answer my initial question that I don't think any of us has answered yet, I think we can tread water.
We have. We still have one of the best lines in the entire league. So you've got that going for you.
[00:14:47] Speaker B: Look, and we know the NFL is a passing league today, right? So that's, that's really all you ask if you're running game is to Treadwater in most circumstances.
[00:14:57] Speaker A: Well, it's kind of the perfect segue, right? Because the next person I want to talk about is Deshaun Watson. He's back in the field. He's throwing. From all accounts, he's looking great. Otas and everything else. It's otas right now, right? What are we doing?
[00:15:08] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:15:09] Speaker A: Looking great on the field.
[00:15:10] Speaker B: Mini camp, mandatory.
[00:15:12] Speaker A: Mandatory optional mini camp or whatever they call it, they gotta get.
[00:15:16] Speaker B: And they've been talking about the league in general has been talking about re, like, fixing this schedule because it's kind of weird. They have like, the OTAs and then minicamp and then they're like, off for like six, eight weeks, six, seven weeks before training camp starts.
They really gotta, like, figure out a way that this makes sense.
[00:15:36] Speaker A: Yeah, I agree, but no, as far as the football players go, I mean, Deshawn, everything's going to hinge on him this season, right? I mean, that's even, even with the Nick Chubb injury last year, I mean, that was kind of the wild card is like, are we going to get the good Deshaun? Are we going to get the not so good to Shawn? I mean, basically, if you get above average at this point, the Browns, their roster is stacked. They're going to be a solid team. Yeah.
[00:16:01] Speaker B: I mean, you look at this roster on paper and the only question mark you have as a quarterback, I mean, every other position group looks stacked to the max. You're going to get Nick Chubb back at some point, and the only question you have is, can your quarterback, can your quarterback hack it?
[00:16:18] Speaker A: Yeah. And it is wild to think about because it may very well end up being that that is one of the stacked positions as well. But we just don't know. We still don't know after three years into this thing or whatever, you know, we're going in the third year into this thing, we still don't know. So.
[00:16:35] Speaker B: And I think that the other piece of that is, we don't know, even from a health standpoint, is Deshawn, you know, where all things right now, according to the Browns and the Deshaun are. Everything's moving forward at the right pace and that.
But that was still a significant injury that he had last year. So, you know, we're not sure how he's going to come back from that.
[00:16:57] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:16:57] Speaker A: Hi. Cause we're gonna do an interview with you in a little bit here.
The people want to hear from Ron.
[00:17:06] Speaker B: These are nice.
[00:17:08] Speaker H: Yeah, behind my back they go.
[00:17:13] Speaker B: Yeah, these are great.
[00:17:15] Speaker A: Nice. Got some swag.
[00:17:17] Speaker B: We're just all swagged out. I got koozies.
[00:17:19] Speaker A: I'm so Kent. Brownsbackers. I think we're honorary members at this point. Mean we probably should just join up, not do. We were, if we weren't thinking about eventually maybe starting our own brownsbackers chapter. Oh, yeah. Just.
[00:17:36] Speaker B: Spoiler alert, River Brownsbaggers chapter.
[00:17:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Then I'd probably join theirs. You might be able to have two. I don't know. You could join theirs, just be a member and then start her own. I don't know. I don't know how it works. I don't.
[00:17:48] Speaker B: I'm addicted to porn.
[00:17:51] Speaker A: But anyway. Yeah. So, Deshaun Watson, it is funny that he's the biggest wild card because when this whole thing started, obviously the plan was he's not supposed to be a wild card at all.
[00:18:02] Speaker B: He was the answer to the quarterback.
[00:18:03] Speaker A: He was the answer, and now he's the only question mark. With that being said, I mean, where do you guys land on this, if anywhere? Are we just in wait and see mode at this point?
[00:18:14] Speaker C: I like our backup situation this year better. You know, pre Joe Flacco. I agree, and I think we won in spite of Deshawn last year, and I think our team's better or just as good. So I think we're going to. I think we'll be all right if he doesn't hold up his end of.
[00:18:30] Speaker A: The bargain here with the eye test, I 100% agree with you that we won in spite of Watson last year. The weird thing is there are a lot of advanced statistics out there, and I know everybody's going to argue one way or the other whether they think advanced statistics even really play a part in a game or not.
But, like, advanced statistics show that, you know, we were base, we were whatever. In one, when he played, he had like, a 69% completion percentage or something like that. True completion percentage.
He only had like, two turnovers total.
So it was. I mean, the numbers are pretty crazy. And he threw for 900 yards in, what was it? Four games or whatever. They count towards those advantages, I guess.
[00:19:13] Speaker C: I'm not talking specifically, like, when he was in, but even with, you know, PJ Walker and, you know, DTR and we still won games.
[00:19:22] Speaker A: I get what you on that part. I totally agree. And I think we're head and shoulders better this year than we were last year. I mean, Jamis Winston is a very capable backup. I'm actually excited, let's be honest. I assume he's probably going to play at some point this season, and I'm excited to see what he could do.
[00:19:40] Speaker B: It just still is unfortunate, though, that, you know, you've invested $230 million in a quarterback that you're not sure can play.
And if you look at quarterback rankings that have come out now kind of preseason, a lot of these places have Deshawn ranked 18 to 21 or even further back, which is also just a testament to the fact that there's a lot of good young quarterbacks in the league right now.
[00:20:04] Speaker A: But there are, it's kind of a resurgence of, like, this. Like, everybody was worried, you know, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, all these guys are retiring. Like, where's the quarterback crop gonna, you know, where's it going? And all of a sudden there's so many young guys bunching it. I don't even know, I can't even name them all. Like, there's so many of them right now.
[00:20:23] Speaker B: Well, yeah, and you got a huge crop of rookies that came in this year that, you know, if those guys all end up panning out, I mean, that's what, six new guys that could end up being starters in the league. So, yeah, I just, it's frustrating that that's still a big question mark, but to me, that's the only. I mean, this is the best I felt about a Browns team and a Browns roster, probably in my lifetime in terms of going into the season, and.
[00:20:48] Speaker A: We'Ll continue to talk about their, their roster here. So. So the next thing I wanted to kind of bring up to you guys and just get your thoughts on is, is defensive tackle. So, it's funny, we went into, like, free agency and the drafted stuff, and it was almost a question mark.
Like, you know, we probably need some guys here, whatever. Cause there were some people that their contracts were up, whatever. Well, fast forward, you resign a bunch of those guys, you sign a few new ones, you got a rookie coming in. That's, that's potentially a starter. Day one.
[00:21:18] Speaker B: Just signed his contract, by the way.
[00:21:19] Speaker A: Yeah. Well done, well done, well done. My call.
So, yeah, I mean, there's six guys here and I'm going to list them off. And the main thing here is, I mean, we got to come up with. Not us. We don't have to do it. We're not coaches. But the Browns got to come up with some sort of hierarchy, like, like, how is this going to shake out and is there going to be an odd man out of these six? Like, obviously, defensive line, much more depth that is needed. You need to carry more people.
[00:21:45] Speaker B: But I think we've seen that with, you know, the defense that they want to run. They want to keep guys fresh on that front line. So I don't think they'll have a problem getting guys in keeping all these guys in there. You are deep at that position, which, which is a good thing.
[00:21:59] Speaker A: Yeah. And here's the six. So obviously there's Dalvin, Tomlinson, Shelby, Harris, Quinton, Jefferson, Mo. Hears Yaki ika, and then the rookie that they sign that they drafted this year in Ohio State's Mike hall junior.
So, I mean, just freaking loaded on the interior of the defensive line.
And so, I mean, I just mentioned a minute ago, I think Mike hall junior might start if not game one, like the first quarter of the season. I think he's going to be starting.
[00:22:27] Speaker B: Yeah, I think it could be a slow burn to start the year because they want to make sure that he's doing all the right things. But, I mean, he has tremendous upside and just tremendous potential. Everybody that's been at OTAs and campus stuff has remarked about how, I mean, this is what we knew about him coming in, like his explosiveness off the snap, his first step.
So it's like, that's gonna continue to be a benefit for him.
But you also have some really good veterans in that mix. So I have to imagine they're gonna start with some of the other guys, but. But I think he's do a lot of playing time.
[00:23:03] Speaker C: Yeah, I feel like in the last few years they've shown that they seem to always put together a pretty good rotation of people, and it's not going to end this year. It's going to be even better. Just continue to have fresh legs in there, you know, just pounding the interior line.
[00:23:16] Speaker B: So, for sure, to me, the biggest question mark is, because he was a rookie, what last year really didn't play a whole lot.
[00:23:26] Speaker A: They started to mix him in towards the end of the season. But, yeah, you're right, he didn't play that much.
[00:23:30] Speaker B: And so, like, all these other guys are pretty much known quantities and they're all good players.
So I don't know. I mean, he's probably the one that, to me, would stand out if they ended up having to thin that position out at all. But my guess is they're going to keep all six of these guys for the full season.
[00:23:47] Speaker A: Yeah. And I would actually probably agree with you. I just.
I'm very curious to see who ends up being, like, the starters out of this group because it's just, it's a good problem to have. You have multiple guys in here that could be a starter.
Another Ohio state guy that I wanted to mention that I just thought of is Duan Jones has been hearing a lot of great things out of camp about him. His leadership, actually. Like, he's. They had him, I don't know if you guys saw, they had him break down the huddle on the final day of OTAs, and he's just kind of, from all accounts, stepped up and kind of assumed the role of, like, last year. It was like, it was almost like we. Because we're Ohio State fans and we know, you know, we just. We grew up watching it. Or I guess he should say he grew up in the system that we watched.
We're a lot older than him now.
[00:24:36] Speaker B: Yeah, but ain't that some shit? When did that happen?
[00:24:40] Speaker A: I don't know. We're fucking old, man.
[00:24:41] Speaker B: When did we get older than our favorite players?
[00:24:43] Speaker A: You're older than all of us, so fuck you.
[00:24:44] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:24:46] Speaker A: But no, just the leadership standpoint and him kind of assuming that role of, like, you know, I am one of the guys on this offensive line and going to be a staple here for a while. I like to see that.
[00:24:58] Speaker B: Who do you think you are? I am.
[00:25:01] Speaker A: See, you get it.
But, yeah, good problems to have all the way around. I mean, you know, we. A lot of depth, just about every position. I think the only position that I would say were thin, necessarily at, is still linebacker. Like, we got some. They actually did a good job of bringing some guys in, and I feel good about our starters, but behind the starters, I mean, it's pretty thin, so. So that's probably the only one that I'm a little bit worried about.
[00:25:27] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:25:30] Speaker A: Yeah. And so, I mean, the roster is pretty stacked. It's probably, you mentioned it already, and we can. You can elaborate on that if you want, but probably the best I've felt, and I agree with your sense of it, the best I felt about a Browns roster, like, going into a season that I can remember. Like, I'm pretty pumped.
[00:25:49] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. And to your point that you just made, I mean, like the linebackers, I mean, some of these names out here, I just, I'm not really? Sure. Charlie Thomas. Nathaniel Watson.
[00:26:01] Speaker A: I like Charlie Thomas, but he's still young.
[00:26:02] Speaker B: Winston Reed, obviously you have. J ok. Caleb Johnson. Jordan Hicks was a big one.
[00:26:08] Speaker A: Yeah. Jordan Hicks.
[00:26:09] Speaker C: And what's the, there's. Is it Bush?
I know he was injured.
[00:26:14] Speaker B: Devin Bush is an inside linebacker. Yeah.
[00:26:15] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:26:16] Speaker B: So that was actually a good potential.
[00:26:20] Speaker C: Stud, possibly, I think, off an injury.
[00:26:23] Speaker B: They did bring that guy in last year, Mohammad Diabati. That seems like he has some potential in athleticism. So I think maybe that's a guy that ends up with some more playing times.
[00:26:31] Speaker A: I think they're just banking on these guys developing. There was a lot of young guys.
[00:26:34] Speaker B: Like, like Tony Fields is another guy that like, has some, had some success in the past in this, in this scheme. So, you know, we'll see.
But outside of that position group, and it's not like these guys. And the thing is, you're anchored by a guy like Gok. So even if you have a bunch of kind of also rans at that position, you have a superstar also there.
[00:26:57] Speaker C: J okay. Made the Pro bowl last year. Yeah.
[00:26:59] Speaker B: I mean. J okay.
[00:27:00] Speaker A: I think he made it as an alternate, but he still made it to me.
[00:27:02] Speaker B: J ok. Is the one guy that has developed more than anybody that Andrew Barry has drafted. And I mean, you just watched him all year, last year get better and better and better. I mean, his point where by the.
[00:27:15] Speaker A: End of the season, like, if on every play, it wasn't just us at the end of the season either, like, by the end of last season, everybody knew. J okay.
[00:27:22] Speaker B: Was like, it obviously didn't everywhere. He didn't have 40 tackles a game, but it felt like he was in on 30 or 40 plays a game. And you're like, this guy is just a monster.
[00:27:33] Speaker C: Big moments, too. I feel like he, you know when you needed them most?
[00:27:37] Speaker A: Yep. So I think at least, you know, although I feel like we're a little thin there, at least we do have a certified stud leading the way, so.
But yeah, like I said, you got a strong roster. So let's, let's talk about the schedule that came out since the last time we've been on here, the schedule came out. We're starting with Dallas at home, and then we go to Jacksonville at home versus New York, at Las Vegas, at Washington, at Philadelphia, home versus Cincinnati, Baltimore and LA. That's the Chargers. And then we're at New Orleans, home versus Pittsburgh, at Denver, at Pittsburgh, home versus Kansas City at Cincinnati, home versus Miami and at Baltimore. And so we'll play the schedule game on a later episode because that's going to take up a whole, whole thing. So we'll play the schedule game in a later episode. I know everybody loves that beginning of.
[00:28:34] Speaker C: The season is Browns versus NFC.
[00:28:36] Speaker A: Yes, yes. And the other thing I want to point out is the Browns do have the, their, the highest winning percentage as far as their opponents go. They have the toughest strength to schedule based on winning percentage of your opponent. So there is that. But I also, and I know we've talked about this before, I think that's a complete farce. Like, I just think it's so pointless.
[00:28:58] Speaker B: Because you're going over last year's things.
[00:29:01] Speaker A: Go from worst to first and vice versa every year. And on top of it, like, if you really look at the strength of schedule numbers, like the winning percentage, the combined winning percentage of opponents from like us to like the worst, like the easiest strength to schedule is like a total of like three wins.
[00:29:19] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:29:20] Speaker A: Like it's almost identical.
[00:29:21] Speaker B: True, true. So, yeah, I mean, it's funny how much gets put on that each year when they release those. I know Pittsburgh was complaining a lot about having, I think. Cause I think they're two or three and stray the schedule, but it's like really when you look at the whole AFC north, all those teams have a tough schedule because the AC north is damn good. So if you have six games against top tier opponents.
But, you know, I think the thing.
[00:29:43] Speaker A: Is you're playing Dallas, you're playing Philadelphia, you're playing.
[00:29:46] Speaker B: The thing that sticks out to me about this, this schedule right now. Kansas finished all of those primetime games backloaded towards the end of the schedule.
Two Thursday night games that are within what, a month from each other.
[00:30:01] Speaker A: Yeah. So that's one of the quirks I wanted to bring up about the schedule, too, because we're one of very few teams that have ever had two Thursday night games in a season that one of them is, does not fall on Thanksgiving.
[00:30:11] Speaker B: And it's nice because you get that mini buy, but you also have a short week coming into it. So it's like to have two of those in a month towards the end of the season. So I don't know.
[00:30:20] Speaker A: Well, and what I want to point out is just we constantly take this, like, however many steps forward with player safety because, you know, the league likes to talk about player safety all the time. Everything's about player safety. We take a few steps forward and then a few steps back. Okay, well, now you're allowed to use the guardian caps on the field, but by the way, we're going to give the Browns to Thursday night games within.
[00:30:39] Speaker B: A month and see the guardian caps on the field.
[00:30:43] Speaker A: Like, I just don't understand. We'll get back to that in a second. But I just don't understand, like, why, why, like, why do they have two Thursday night games? Just look at our schedule and you could have swapped. Like, for example, you could have done one of the Thursday night games before the buy or just after the buy or whatever. Like, use the buy to. If you're gonna give us two Thursday games, at least give us a couple normal weeks on either side of that. But nope, nope.
[00:31:06] Speaker B: Look, I like, it's cool to be on prime time, right? It's cool to have the a teams for commentators and that. But to be honest, like, it just screws up my whole week. When the Browns don't play, like, at.
[00:31:18] Speaker C: 01:00 on Sunday, I don't like it.
[00:31:20] Speaker B: If you're waiting all day Sunday for the Browns to play on Sunday night, it's just the worst because you're just sitting there all day waiting. And if they play on Thursday, it's like you kind of, I gotta go.
[00:31:29] Speaker A: Mow the lawn on Sunday now.
[00:31:31] Speaker B: It's like you kind of aren't even motivated to watch football the rest of the day Sunday.
[00:31:35] Speaker A: I agree. Well, that's kind of why. I mean, we're getting to that point where I'm just like, I'm ready to pull completely out of fantasy football, I guess. I know there's probably a lot of people on here that don't want to hear that, but, like, I'm at a point in my life where I'm like, I don't want to watch all the other teams constantly. Not like just all day long.
[00:31:51] Speaker B: I mean, I love watching football.
[00:31:52] Speaker A: I love football.
[00:31:53] Speaker B: I watch football anytime it's on, but it's like, like it just screws up the whole cadence of everything. When the Browns aren't playing, I can.
The 415 games aren't so bad, I guess. Cause you kind of have your morning, then you can kind of do what you want. But I hate waiting all day on a Sunday for even Monday night football to have to wait until the start of the work week to watch the Browns.
[00:32:12] Speaker A: Like, Mondays are the worst.
[00:32:13] Speaker B: Mondays are terrible.
[00:32:15] Speaker A: Well, and to your point, we do have four primetime games, and then we also have the game of the week for week one, which is technically a primetime game, but not all the way in the primetime slot. It's at 425 against the Cowboys, but that will be Tom Brady's first game.
[00:32:28] Speaker B: That he's going to be officially Tom Brady's first game as a color commentator with. I hope he's asked, is his million year, million, 10 billion, trillion dollar contract that he got from Fox.
[00:32:37] Speaker A: I hope he's asked. I hope he comes out. He's just like the worst commentator ever. Almost unwatchable. Like, we're like, oh, God, I just.
[00:32:43] Speaker B: Hope they roast him. Hopefully Nikki Glazer comes on broadcast with him.
[00:32:47] Speaker A: You like Nikki glazer, huh?
[00:32:52] Speaker B: Look, the other thing, too, that sticks out to me is the two Pittsburgh weeks. You have Pittsburgh on Thursday night football, then you have at Denver, that's a Monday night game, and then you're back at Pittsburgh.
[00:33:06] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, they've done this to us a few years in a row. Like, they just love to sandwich that. Like, give us both the Pittsburgh games almost back to back.
[00:33:13] Speaker B: I mean, even though Denver probably isn't like one of your toughest opponents, you have to fly out there, play it mile high.
[00:33:19] Speaker A: You know they're gonna lose. It's out west and we don't win out west.
[00:33:22] Speaker B: No, it's Monday night, so it's a short week then coming into at Pittsburgh.
[00:33:27] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:33:27] Speaker B: I mean, that part of the schedule right there is going to be grueling.
[00:33:30] Speaker A: Well, everything after the. I mean, there's no real easy part of our schedule except for maybe probably Jacksonville through Washington. Like, you should get some wins there. But there's no real easy part of the schedule.
[00:33:41] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, you got Jacksonville, giants commanders. Like, yeah, you should rack up a couple there. But look, this team is supposed to be built to win, right?
[00:33:52] Speaker A: Well, I was just saying. Your point, though, like the second half of the season, you got Pittsburgh, and then you got to travel, which again, Denver's not that great, but you got to travel all the way out west to play them. So you got Pittsburgh at Denver, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Miami, Baltimore. Like, it's just a freaking gauntlet to close the season.
[00:34:08] Speaker B: So end of that schedule is brutal.
[00:34:09] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, we better have some wins before we get there just to, you know, give us some safety, some cushion.
[00:34:15] Speaker B: Playing Kansas City in, in December, I mean, that's usually when they're playing good football.
[00:34:19] Speaker A: So at least it's at home true. At least it's at home true.
But yeah. So we'll talk more about the schedule in a later episode here. Next up, Ab and Stefanik. We've been saying it for weeks and months. They got their extensions, so no details have yet been disclosed. We don't know the length of it. We don't know the amount for the deals, but this is what the Haslams had to say. We are incredibly fortunate to have Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Barry leading the way, leading the Cleveland Browns.
Since the day they were hired, each has worked tirelessly to help the Cleveland Browns win. We are proud of what they and the team have achieved, but Kevin and Andrew would be the first to say the Browns fans deserve even more. Their leadership, collaborative approach and ability to overcome obstacles bode well for the future of this franchise. And they went on to talk about specific examples on, like, how they've brought the team to where they're at and why they made the extension move and all that stuff.
[00:35:13] Speaker B: I think clearly last season went a long way for this. Right? Because the adversity they faced last year, so much adversity.
[00:35:20] Speaker A: You.
[00:35:21] Speaker B: You had to have. You have to have the right people in the right places to get through a season like that, right?
[00:35:26] Speaker A: You gotta have, apparently, Andrew Berry, Kevin Stefanski, and you gotta have the legend of Cleveland Browns quarterback, Joe Flacco.
[00:35:33] Speaker B: Yo, is that a square head driver or is that just a weird putter?
[00:35:36] Speaker A: Where?
[00:35:37] Speaker B: In this golf cart in front of us to the left? Yeah, I think square head. It looks like the old square head driver, isn't it?
[00:35:42] Speaker A: I think it's old square head.
[00:35:44] Speaker B: I miss the old square head.
[00:35:45] Speaker A: But anyway. Yeah, so I just, you know, I agree with you, and I think you're right about last season. Like, last season was insane. That amount of injuries. Not just injuries. Injuries to, like, the team's best players, the team's leaders, like, people that you would expect to need in order to win games.
[00:36:03] Speaker B: Yeah. And so it's a testament to Kevin. It's just funny, the roller coaster ride that we've been on with Kevin, too.
[00:36:08] Speaker A: Because right now we respect him. We're calling him.
[00:36:12] Speaker B: Some days Kevin is great, some days it's really awful. But the fact is he's won coach of the year twice in four years.
[00:36:18] Speaker A: That's, like, unheard of.
[00:36:19] Speaker C: Yeah, that's wild.
[00:36:20] Speaker B: That's pretty wild. I mean, think about this. Who was the last Browns head coach to receive an extension?
[00:36:28] Speaker A: I don't think there has been one since 99.
[00:36:30] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't think that's happened.
[00:36:31] Speaker B: I mean, has. Has there been one?
[00:36:32] Speaker C: I mean, that's even fulfilled a full term. That's.
[00:36:35] Speaker A: No, I don't think there's been one since 99. I think the last one was probably, like, late eighties.
[00:36:40] Speaker B: I'm trying to think, like, there was, like, did me and Jeannie get extended?
[00:36:44] Speaker A: Nope. I don't think so.
[00:36:46] Speaker C: I don't think so.
[00:36:47] Speaker B: Romeo was here for, like, when I say five years, too, but maybe that was just his first contract.
[00:36:52] Speaker A: Hugh Jackson was allowed to come back after he went one and whatever, and then he followed it up with Owen. Whatever. So, I mean, that's kind of like an extension. If you go one in 15 and you're allowed to come back, that's kind.
[00:37:03] Speaker C: Of like, yeah, we should count that.
[00:37:04] Speaker B: That's true. But I mean, just think about, like, the historical impact of, like, like, Kevin Stefanski now being the first Browns coach since 99 to really receive an extension, the vote of confidence, and a general manager at the same time. Yeah.
Huge for the stability of the organization.
[00:37:22] Speaker A: I will say it is fantastic. Regardless. Again, you talk about the roller coaster ride up and down with Kevin Stefanski. Sometimes we respect him, sometimes we don't. Sometimes he's Stefanski, sometimes he's Stefanik.
But I love that for the past, however many offseasons, I don't have to worry about who's going to be the coach or the general manager or any of that stuff.
[00:37:41] Speaker B: How much focus on football is wasted every year. With, with, in years past, the Browns talking about who the head coach is going to be. Okay, who are we going to bring in as general manager? Who's in the front office?
This is, for the first time in a long time, we're in a position now where we know who those guys are. We have a level of confidence in them because they've, they've been successful to an extent.
So, yeah, to me, these are, these are just all good things. I mean, and as frustrated we can get with Stefanic and his play calling sometimes, like I said, two out of four years, your coach of the year. I mean, it.
[00:38:16] Speaker A: And a lot.
[00:38:17] Speaker B: Hard to argue with results.
[00:38:18] Speaker A: A lot of the word out of camp and everywhere else is that Ken Dorsey is having a lot of say in the offense. So maybe we're finally going to get our wish and we're not going to see the play calling from.
[00:38:27] Speaker C: I've heard they haven't practiced one end around in camp so far.
[00:38:30] Speaker A: Hell, yes. Now we're talking. Now we can win.
[00:38:33] Speaker B: That was fake news.
[00:38:34] Speaker C: I made that.
[00:38:35] Speaker A: Damn it. Damn it, bone. I hate you. But, no, I mean, it's not just players. Like, they're stacking the front office as well. So one of the moves that they made recently is the de Quelle Jackson hire.
Hired him as a pro scout for the Browns. And, I mean, he's obviously a fan favorite, a legend, a Cleveland Browns legend.
[00:38:54] Speaker C: It was a beast.
[00:38:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:38:55] Speaker C: That dude's arms were massive.
[00:38:56] Speaker B: I think he has something like 1200 tackles as a brown something stupid.
[00:39:01] Speaker A: So, yeah, I mean, you have him, right? You add that to the variable. Hire some of these other hires from the front office.
[00:39:07] Speaker B: Fucking love the variable.
[00:39:09] Speaker A: I'm just like, it's like the front office for the most part. I mean, obviously there's some outliers, but for the most part, the front office coaching staff right now, it's like they can't do any wrong. It's almost scary. Like, I'm starting to feel uncomfortable. I'm getting a little, getting a little bit itchy, you know, and this team.
[00:39:25] Speaker B: Is just so lucky, I think, this year to have a guy like Braybill on that stat. Cause you know that he'll probably get a head coaching gig again next year. Yeah, but just so fortunate to have a guy with that expertise in the room with just that. That coaching staff has been put together so far. So very fortunate for this year and good to see them bring back former players, right? I think that was one of the things that has been lacking a bit, at least since 99. I think this administration's done a better job of trying to bring back some of these older guys and get them involved in the organization different ways. So. So, yeah, the quell is one of those guys that we all like.
[00:40:00] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. And just, you know, like I said, it is. It's almost scary how confident I am that the Browns are finally going to win some games. Like, obviously they did it last year, but they're going to keep winning some games, I should say.
But, yeah. Next up here, some sad news for the Browns.
[00:40:21] Speaker B: Let's pause real quick on that.
Buffalo herd.
Can't roller skate in a Buffalo herd.
[00:40:30] Speaker A: Yeah. So, I mean, the Browns are killing it, right?
[00:40:32] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:40:33] Speaker A: But there is some, you know, obviously all the other teams in the AFC.
[00:40:36] Speaker B: North, at least in June, they are.
[00:40:37] Speaker A: Yeah, all the other teams, the AFC north are doing big things right now, too.
And one thing I did want to talk about right now, because we've had some discussions around this, obviously, Pittsburgh has absolutely reloaded their quarterback room in the offseason and right now it sounds like the edge is Russell Wilson over Justin Fields.
[00:41:00] Speaker C: Obviously we know bones.
[00:41:03] Speaker B: Obviously you love to hate Russ and bone loves to love Russ.
[00:41:06] Speaker A: Russ is so washed, even though Bone thinks he's just going to keep tussling.
[00:41:11] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, he's going to. He's going to have a great year with Pittsburgh. Not that I want that to happen, but you just can't stop it.
[00:41:16] Speaker A: Them.
[00:41:16] Speaker C: I mean, with Mike Tomlin, Russ is going to be a, he's going to.
[00:41:19] Speaker B: Be a pro bowler.
[00:41:20] Speaker C: He'll be a Pro Bowler.
[00:41:21] Speaker A: Bone is a Steelers fan now and he thinks they're going to win the division.
[00:41:25] Speaker C: I did not say that.
[00:41:26] Speaker B: This, this team with, even if Russ is washed head and shoulders better than.
[00:41:32] Speaker A: The broncos, I'll give you that.
[00:41:34] Speaker B: Well, just a thousand times better than what Pittsburgh had at the quarterback position last year.
[00:41:38] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:39] Speaker B: And they made the play and they made the playoffs.
[00:41:41] Speaker A: That's also true.
[00:41:42] Speaker B: You can say what you want about Russ, but he's not going to be as bad as the guys they had completely washed.
[00:41:47] Speaker A: Russell Wilson, I think is at least three times as good as Kenny Pickett.
[00:41:53] Speaker B: I think they had like twelve passing touchdowns all year.
[00:41:55] Speaker A: Yeah, Kenny Pickett's trash.
[00:41:57] Speaker B: Like between all of their quarterback there was a twelve or 14. That's really, really bad.
[00:42:01] Speaker A: Old Tommy two gloves. I hate that guy. He's my least favorite quarterback in the entire NFL.
[00:42:05] Speaker C: Is Kenny Pickett, is Mason Rudolph still on the, on the roster?
[00:42:08] Speaker A: I think he is, actually.
[00:42:09] Speaker B: I think he is. Yeah. He seems to never die.
[00:42:13] Speaker C: I just don't get it how he's still there even after getting hit in.
[00:42:15] Speaker A: The head with a helmet. He never dies.
[00:42:17] Speaker C: Miles didn't hit him hard enough.
[00:42:21] Speaker A: But yeah, so just, no, I mean, between that and between.
[00:42:25] Speaker B: Well, I think the thing is that it sounds like Tomlin really likes Russ because of the, just the stability that he brings. I mean, the fact that he's a veteran guy, a veteran presence, that he can trust him in his offense. So while the upside with Fields is, you know, the athleticism, the arm talent and all those things, I just think Tomlin is so comfortable having Russ back there because he knows he can trust him.
[00:42:49] Speaker A: That's true. That's true. But bottom line is we, we have to, we have to be doing as well as we are because more so than literally any other other year I can remember, the AFC north is just big moves left and right. People like, these teams look good. These teams look very good. Now, one team that I think most of us can agree on, bone, where, where do you stand with the Bengals? What do you think they're going to do?
[00:43:12] Speaker C: I think it all depends on Joe Burrow. Is he, is he back to form or, you know, who'd they lose? They lost t. Higgins.
[00:43:19] Speaker A: I don't think they lost any of them.
They're both holding out.
[00:43:21] Speaker C: They're both okay. Gotcha.
[00:43:23] Speaker A: Right. I don't think any of them got.
[00:43:24] Speaker C: Traded yeah, well, I thought one signed was somebody else. One of their three. One of their big three. Tyler boy.
[00:43:29] Speaker A: Oh, one of their big three is gone. Yes. The big two is who I was talking about. The two.
[00:43:34] Speaker C: Boyd's gone.
[00:43:35] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:43:36] Speaker C: I mean, he's probably the lesser of the three, obviously.
[00:43:38] Speaker A: Yeah. But you mentioned Joe Burrow, so, kenny, I mean, you had a good point about Joe Burrow, so.
[00:43:43] Speaker B: Yeah, it was just.
It's been reported that the wrist injury that Joe Burrow had is not a wrist injury that's common in quarterbacks. And I found it fascinating. I just was happy watching AJ Hawk talk about.
It's an injury that is common in, like, linemen and linebackers, and he had the exact same injury and same surgery done.
But he basically said like, that his mobility in that rest is about 70% of what it used to be, which, for a linebacker, like, okay, not great, but like, you can survive that way. I don't know if you don't get your full range of motion back as a quarterback, I don't know how you can ever get.
[00:44:26] Speaker A: Cause with the wrist injury, throwing. Throwing hand.
[00:44:28] Speaker B: Yeah. I don't know how you ever get back.
[00:44:31] Speaker C: I don't know exactly what he broke in his wrist, but I have had wrist surgery, and I would agree with AJ Hawk, I still have limited mobility in my left wrist from that. And that was my junior year of high school when I had that surgery.
[00:44:42] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, I don't know how you come back to. I mean, obviously, Joe Burrow is a.
[00:44:46] Speaker A: Tremendous athlete and he has way better healthcare than.
[00:44:51] Speaker B: But still, I just. I don't know how any quarterback, no matter how good or how much talent you have, comes back from an injury. If you. Even if you. Even if it's 90% of what it was.
[00:45:00] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:45:00] Speaker B: I mean, you're still. That's your livelihood, is that flick of the ride. I mean, that's the difference between throwing a hard ball, a float, a floater, I mean, or be able to throw it 60 yards down the field. I mean, you have to be able to have that snap to put zip on the ball. I mean, everything you do is dependent on that wrist.
[00:45:18] Speaker A: Right. And just to. Just to piggyback off of that.
Like we've said all along, and not just us, I mean, this is kind of the consensus is, oh, Cincinnati is going to bounce back as soon as Joe Burrow is ready to go. What if he's not? What if he's not ready to go? And then on top of that, you've got these two receivers that we just talked about that. Are both holding out right now. They're both, they both said we want new deals.
[00:45:39] Speaker B: Well, I mean, Jamar Chase is going to get a deal bigger than Justin Jefferson's probably.
[00:45:43] Speaker A: Yeah, but I'm just. But my point is they're kind of in turmoil in Cincinnati right now. Like, especially if Joe Burrows can't get back to 100%.
I see this team potentially with just how good the rest of the AFC north is. Like, maybe that's the bottom feeder and they win like six games this year.
[00:45:58] Speaker B: I agree. I think they're the team that has the toughest go of it in the AC north this year. Obviously, they lost Joe Mixon as well.
[00:46:04] Speaker A: Which they do have a decent.
[00:46:05] Speaker B: We've never been on the Joe Mixon train, but. No, but when you look at the numbers, as much as we hate to admit it, he's been a consistent factor in their running game for several years. So when you lose that and you have to try and replace it with something different, like, it's not always easy. Um, and I mean, Joe Mixon was a tough runner. I mean, look, I, like I said, we didn't, we weren't ever like, he never really.
[00:46:29] Speaker C: Big name or is it counting on somebody?
[00:46:32] Speaker A: Zach Moss.
[00:46:33] Speaker B: Yeah. And, but outside of Zack Moss, their running back room is like absolutely trash. There's nobody in that room that looks any good.
[00:46:39] Speaker A: I don't even know if I recognized any of the names.
[00:46:42] Speaker B: Yeah, I didn't, I don't know who the other guys even are. And, but, I mean, Zach Moss is serviceable, but I don't think Zach Moss is Joe Mixon.
[00:46:49] Speaker C: Right.
[00:46:50] Speaker A: I legitimately think the Bengals might win six games next year.
[00:46:53] Speaker B: I won. And I just think it's so much dependent on how the only thing that's.
[00:46:57] Speaker A: Going to keep them in games is they have, they do have a decent defense.
[00:47:00] Speaker B: They do the deep. I mean, you get dj reader and on the, off the defensive line, Trey Hendrickson. So, you know, they have some, some talented guys on that defensive front. For sure that makes your life difficult. But, but, yeah, I don't know. I mean, I think that that offense could struggle with the lack of running presence and Joe Burrow just maybe not ever being Joe Burrow again.
[00:47:24] Speaker A: I mean, we've been waiting, what, two years now for him to come back to Joe Burrow.
[00:47:27] Speaker B: I mean, it's June and Joe Burrow could come out and sling 48 touchdowns this year and make me look like I got dick on my face, but.
[00:47:34] Speaker A: Well, to be fair, you're not saying that's going to happen. You're just, it's speculation. Like, how, how well can you, you play with a limited wrist as a quarterback?
[00:47:44] Speaker B: And he's kind of said, like, he's taking it kind of a day to time and he's not got his full range of motion back yet, but he's, he's close and he feels pretty good about it, but there's still days where it hurts and days where things just aren't as easy. So, I mean, to hear that a couple months out from the start of the season.
Yeah. I mean, you want, you know, July is when everybody should be healthy. You know, this is when you need your reps, just not there.
[00:48:12] Speaker A: So your controlled reps where you don't get hurt.
[00:48:15] Speaker B: Now, to be fair, I did see a couple highlights of him showboating a practice, doing like, behind the back passes and stuff. So maybe he's further along the way.
[00:48:23] Speaker A: He is a very good quarterback.
[00:48:27] Speaker B: But we'll see.
[00:48:28] Speaker A: Yeah, we'll see. For the rest of the league. I don't want to get too deep into news everywhere, but one thing I did want to bring up because the Browns were actually kind of involved with this is the Browns. They were talking about possibly sending the Browns to Brazil to play. Right. To play the Eagles. Well, it ended up being the Eagles in the packers or who they're playing or who is playing in Brazil. Now, the NFL apparently is telling the Green Bay packers and Philadelphia Eagles players that they are not allowed to wear the color green in Brazil due to the game or due to the gangs in the area.
[00:49:03] Speaker C: Odd choice of team color there.
[00:49:05] Speaker A: Yes. And then on top of that, teams will likely be forced to stay in the hotel all week and travel in armored vehicles to and from the stadium.
[00:49:14] Speaker B: So, first off, I didn't realize that it was that unsafe in Brazil right now.
[00:49:20] Speaker A: Neither did I.
[00:49:20] Speaker B: Kind of thought Brazil was kind of.
[00:49:22] Speaker A: Like people talk about is like almost like a vacation destination.
[00:49:25] Speaker B: A lot of people traveled.
[00:49:27] Speaker A: You go wherever.
[00:49:28] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. So I didn't realize, I mean, now, to be fair, I never thought it was the safest place in the world, but for them to have to travel in armored vehicles back and forth and stay in the hotel and not go out and, like, we kind of talked about this trip being a team building opportunity where they can kind of, you know, you spend a week or two in, in Brazil and it's kind of this cultural, you know, exploration and things that they could kind of do together and team build, and it sounds like they're going to be.
[00:49:54] Speaker C: Are they targets because of their wealth and notoriety.
[00:49:56] Speaker A: Like, yeah, it's just, it's just crazy because, like, even if with all of that being said, like, you want them to be able to do something while they're there. So why would you pick the two teams, two of only, like, three teams in the entire NFL that are green.
[00:50:15] Speaker B: Primary color is green.
[00:50:16] Speaker A: And you send them down there like, what is wrong with you? Like, them and the jets.
That's all you have for green teams. You could have sent anybody else.
[00:50:24] Speaker C: They missed something there.
[00:50:25] Speaker B: The thing is, it's weird is like this, it was reported that the Browns were initially in the Brazil game. So it kind of sounds like this whole thing maybe was just poorly planned and poorly executed, that maybe they didn't realize some of the things that were going on down there.
[00:50:41] Speaker A: Somebody's got to get fired for that.
[00:50:43] Speaker B: And they kind of rushed into the deal down there because, I mean, look, player safety, right? Like, that's rule number one that we.
[00:50:50] Speaker A: Already talked about in this episode, and.
[00:50:53] Speaker B: Now we're sending them to a place where we got to send them to the stadium in an armored car.
[00:50:57] Speaker A: I mean, I mean, obviously, I don't wish this to happen and I don't expect this to happen, but I'm just going to throw it out there. Like, you know, what's, what's going to kill the, the international push faster than anything? As if something terrible were to happen to somebody down there. Like, yeah, it's over.
[00:51:16] Speaker B: Like, well, and it's just, it's just like, with all this going on, I mean, there's so many places in the world that they could have played this game well.
[00:51:23] Speaker A: And again, even if, even if this is where you're going to go, why would you send those two teams?
Pick any other two teams?
[00:51:30] Speaker B: Yeah, the Browns would have been a good choice because, you know, green, like.
[00:51:33] Speaker A: Send the Browns and the Steelers. Yeah, whatever.
[00:51:35] Speaker B: Done.
[00:51:37] Speaker A: It's just, it's just wild to me that they would, they would allow that to happen. That's. That somebody did not vet that enough to know. And that's why I said, somebody's got to be getting fired in the NFL, right?
Somebody's already been fired for this.
[00:51:48] Speaker B: They had probably. Yeah.
[00:51:50] Speaker A: Yeah. But anyways, that'll do it for the burning river rundown real quick. Before we get into our revenue break, I do want to tell everybody about our Nick Chubb football giveaway. For the second offseason in a row, we are giving away some autographed Brown's memorabilia. In this year. It is a Nick Chubb autographed football. Whoa, wait.
[00:52:09] Speaker B: Look who it is.
[00:52:11] Speaker A: What's up, John?
[00:52:14] Speaker B: What's going on, gang? How are you? Good to see you.
[00:52:16] Speaker A: Sorry we had to take a break from that. John Hughes is in the house.
You're gonna be swinging back, so we could talk to you a little bit. Oh, yeah.
[00:52:22] Speaker B: Awesome.
[00:52:23] Speaker A: Nice.
Man, I'm flustered now.
[00:52:26] Speaker B: I don't know where we got John Hughes.
[00:52:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
Is that a verb now? You've been John Hughes now, but, yeah. So, for the second offseason in a row, we're giving away some autographed Brown's memorabilia. This year, a Nick Chubb autographed football. The winner will be chosen from our YouTube subscribers. That's the big thing here that you need to know. No, you have to be subscribed on YouTube because we will be picking from our pool of YouTube subscribers. Here's the football for anybody watching the video version, you can see it. Kenny's holding it up. Signed by Nick Chubb right there.
And, yeah, I mean, there's gonna be some other ways you can earn bonus entries. Just head to our socials, keep an eye out there. Follow us on. Everything is the bottom line.
[00:53:06] Speaker B: But you must be subscribed in order to win.
[00:53:09] Speaker A: You must be subscribed on YouTube. That will be checked. So, yeah, link in the show notes for our YouTube, or you can just search the handle at Burning river sportscast on YouTube and find us. Click that subscribe button and you are entered.
[00:53:23] Speaker B: Entered.
[00:53:23] Speaker A: That's it. That's it.
[00:53:25] Speaker B: So you gotta do to win. Nick Chubbs, football.
[00:53:26] Speaker A: Yep. So let's take a quick revenue break. We'll come back here, we'll do some interviews, talk to John Hughes, talk to Ron, the president of the Brownsbacker, Kemp Brownsbackers. Maybe talk to some fans. And I think we got a sponsor interview today, too, right?
[00:53:41] Speaker B: Absolutely.
[00:53:41] Speaker A: Yep. We'll get back with those, and then we'll try and close this thing out. We've been talking too long. I said we keep it short and sweet, but we're not. Yeah.
[00:53:50] Speaker B: I want to get out on the golf course a little bit.
[00:53:51] Speaker A: Yeah.
All right. So we're here with Ron from the Kent Brownsbackers. President of the Kent Brownsbackers. So, Ron, how's the outing going? How's things?
[00:54:12] Speaker H: It's going great, man. It's the first time we've ever sold out.
[00:54:16] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:54:16] Speaker H: And a lot of help from you guys. It's awesome.
[00:54:19] Speaker A: Nice. And 23rd annual, right?
[00:54:21] Speaker H: Yes.
[00:54:21] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:54:22] Speaker H: We only missed one because of COVID Gotcha.
[00:54:25] Speaker B: COVID ruined everything. Absolutely.
[00:54:27] Speaker A: Not fun.
[00:54:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:54:28] Speaker H: That's not a joke.
[00:54:29] Speaker A: Not fun.
[00:54:29] Speaker B: Beautiful weather out here today. I mean, this has got to be some of the nicest golf weather that I've seen in an outing for a long time.
[00:54:36] Speaker H: 23 years, we've never had rain on this.
[00:54:38] Speaker B: It's awesome.
[00:54:40] Speaker A: That's a. So you're telling me I have to golf in the camp. Brownsbackers golf outing.
[00:54:45] Speaker H: It's a great time.
[00:54:46] Speaker A: It won't rain wet. It won't rain, right?
No. So kind of tell us a little bit about the outing and kind of what some of the money's going towards. I know you guys are working with different sponsors. I'm sorry. With different charities and things like that. So tell us what you guys got going on.
[00:55:02] Speaker H: So, annually, we raise probably somewhere between six and 9000, obviously, depending on what people spend. But it goes to right now, we have six different charities. We do. I don't have the list off top of my head. I give you a couple of them, like Hattie Larlem Brimfield cupboard, their Spielman cancer center.
I can't even think of them. All right now. So we've got the APL up in port county, but all of them are nonprofits as well, and it's all local. We don't give any money out.
[00:55:34] Speaker A: Awesome.
[00:55:34] Speaker H: To any of the national charities.
[00:55:36] Speaker A: Good, good. Yeah. No, and it's. It's like you said, you guys did sell out. I've been seeing people kind of filter in, give their. Their halfway scores to you guys to start updating the scoreboard. Anybody? Anybody? Way ahead of everybody.
[00:55:50] Speaker H: I would say there's probably three teams out there that will hit about 16oz.
[00:55:54] Speaker B: Did we put spotters on those guys to make sure we were scored correctly?
[00:55:57] Speaker H: They're legit because I'm friends with all of them. I golf with all of them, and trust me, they're legit.
[00:56:02] Speaker A: Basically, Ron's saying if they lie, he's gonna whoop their ass.
[00:56:05] Speaker B: Well, there's certainly a lot of great. There's a lot of great prizes over here.
[00:56:08] Speaker H: Absolutely.
[00:56:09] Speaker B: Where there's a lot of those. All donations to this or.
[00:56:12] Speaker H: Yeah, some of them were. The 65 inch tv was donated by SK finishing, which is our main host.
The rest of the things came from, I mean, all over, but then we purchased some things, the golf bags and a lot of the smaller items.
[00:56:26] Speaker B: Couple of Cleveland Browns golf bags.
[00:56:28] Speaker A: Those are dope. Get John Hughes to sign a few of those things while he's here.
[00:56:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:56:32] Speaker H: Whoever wins it could have that done.
[00:56:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
No, but so I mean, obviously it's 2030 annual so we're gonna keep this going next year, right?
Do you guys, is that the expectation now? Are we gonna sell this thing out every single year?
[00:56:46] Speaker H: Yes, absolutely.
[00:56:48] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:56:48] Speaker B: I mean, with weather like this, it's almost guaranteed, man.
[00:56:52] Speaker H: So it's my birthday weekend. It always falls on my birthday weekend. Never rings.
[00:56:56] Speaker B: Wait, this weekend's your birthday?
[00:56:58] Speaker H: I turn 48 tomorrow.
[00:57:00] Speaker B: Oh, happy birthday.
[00:57:01] Speaker C: Happy birthday.
[00:57:02] Speaker A: 48? You're lying to us. You don't look a day over 31.
[00:57:05] Speaker H: Yeah, your ass.
[00:57:09] Speaker A: No. But while we have you on here, Ron, I mean obviously some big things have happened in the offseason for the Browns, for the whole AFC North. North. Can you give us a little bit of kind of your take on what you expect going into this next season?
[00:57:21] Speaker H: I think the defense going to be really strong. I think they, after some of the interviews with the coach, he said, yeah, we screwed up in the playoffs so that I think that'll be solid. I'm still worried about the offense. Nick Chub there now saying, some people potentially saying he's not going to be back till week ten.
[00:57:37] Speaker A: Yeah, we just, we actually, a funny thing, we just talked about that earlier in this episode. There's a lot of conflicting reports and nobody's really confirmed anything, including Nick Chubb himself.
[00:57:49] Speaker H: He was day by day is what he's saying. He's getting stronger.
Obviously he's gone through this before, so he knows what to expect.
[00:57:57] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure. Do you think what other team in the AFC north kind of sticks out to you as far as big jumps forward?
[00:58:05] Speaker H: Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, they're looking, I don't know. I'm on the fence with them too, but they've made some serious moves, serious acquisition.
[00:58:12] Speaker B: Well, they at least have quarterback now.
That's true.
[00:58:16] Speaker A: Did not have that before, that's for sure.
[00:58:18] Speaker B: They made the playoffs without one last, literally any.
[00:58:20] Speaker A: Probably nobody. Literally nobody is better than Kenny Pickett. Like just put nobody back there. It's probably better, but yeah, no, I mean, it's going to be a tough time in the FC north again. Ron, thank you so much for putting this together. Thank you so much for everything that you guys do, for all the local charities that you guys are working with, with. We really appreciate being friends with you guys, being part of this, being able to help out with it the best we can. But really we're going to take no credit for it at all because it's all you guys.
[00:58:47] Speaker H: No, I know Doe, you guys did help. I mean, you advertised for us and we appreciate it.
[00:58:51] Speaker A: Nah, it's you guys, so thank you so much.
[00:58:54] Speaker H: No worries.
[00:58:55] Speaker C: Yeah, thanks, Ryan.
[00:58:55] Speaker H: Yeah.

All right, guys, let's talk to some people, right? Let's talk to some Browns fans here at the 23rd annual Kent Browns backers outing golf outing. I think we're going to talk to John Hughes.
[01:00:52] Speaker B: I'm real excited to talk to John Hughes.
We invited him.
[01:00:56] Speaker A: We invited him. Yeah, we did. We brought him. He's our friend.
[01:00:59] Speaker B: He's our friend.
[01:01:01] Speaker A: So, yeah, let's talk to those guys.
[01:01:15] Speaker B: All right, so we're here with Des at the Kent Brownsbackers golf outing.
Are you a part of the actual Brownsbackers group?
[01:01:24] Speaker D: No.
[01:01:25] Speaker B: Ron's just your sugar daddy.
[01:01:26] Speaker D: Ron's just my sugar daddy. And Ron knows I'm a big party girl and he's like, you're working at my golf outing.
[01:01:32] Speaker B: So you just show up to keep the party going?
[01:01:34] Speaker D: I just show up just to keep the party going. That's right.
[01:01:36] Speaker B: So has there been a party out there all day?
[01:01:39] Speaker D: All day. All day, all night? I'm here, there's a party, I'm there.
[01:01:43] Speaker B: So what do you, what do you mean by bringing up? Were you selling shots out on the golf course?
[01:01:47] Speaker D: Crown, apple and fireball.
[01:01:49] Speaker B: Oh, nice.
[01:01:49] Speaker A: How many bottles did you go through?
[01:01:51] Speaker D: How many bottles we go through four or five. Four or five.
[01:01:54] Speaker A: Five.
[01:01:55] Speaker B: Just your friend?
[01:01:56] Speaker D: That's my friend. Jada.
[01:01:57] Speaker B: Jada.
[01:01:58] Speaker A: Jada.
[01:01:58] Speaker B: Jada. Welcome to the Burning river sportscast.
[01:02:00] Speaker D: You want to take a shot with me?
[01:02:04] Speaker A: So is your guys work for the day done, then?
[01:02:07] Speaker D: Yeah, we're done.
But they call me D Hustler, though I'm never done working.
[01:02:13] Speaker B: Fair, fair enough.
[01:02:15] Speaker D: But nonsensual, though. Like, I'm a worker that doesn't do it for sex.
[01:02:21] Speaker B: All right.
[01:02:22] Speaker D: Nonsensual.
[01:02:23] Speaker B: So are you pretty excited about brown season?
[01:02:25] Speaker D: Fuck yeah, I'm fucking excited for brown season. Are you kidding me? Am I allowed to say the f word?
[01:02:29] Speaker B: You can say whatever you want.
[01:02:31] Speaker A: Yeah. We're not syndicated. You could say anything.
[01:02:33] Speaker D: Hell, yeah, I'm excited for brown season. I'm.
[01:02:38] Speaker A: Who's. I know we talked about it a little bit before we got started. Who's your favorite player?
[01:02:42] Speaker D: What's his name again?
[01:02:44] Speaker C: David Najoku.
[01:02:45] Speaker D: That's who my favorite player is. And Nick Chubb cannot forget about the Chubb choices. We all love chubs around here.
[01:02:52] Speaker B: We're giving away a Nick Chubb autographed football. All you have to do is be a subscriber on YouTube.
[01:02:57] Speaker D: I will do that. I will do anything for the chubby.
Just take me there. I'm there.
[01:03:06] Speaker B: Do you want to give her the QR code?
[01:03:08] Speaker A: Yeah, let me pull it up.
[01:03:10] Speaker B: Take you right to the YouTube.
[01:03:13] Speaker D: Nick Chubb, everything.
[01:03:16] Speaker B: Well, the show.
[01:03:17] Speaker A: Yeah, it's just like her talking into her microphone.
No, we record it and then release it later.
[01:03:26] Speaker D: Hopefully this is released because this is a good show. Yeah, that's a good show.
[01:03:29] Speaker B: Very good show.
[01:03:30] Speaker D: I have a nice voice, too.
[01:03:32] Speaker B: Do you have a record prediction for the Browns this season?
[01:03:34] Speaker D: A record?
[01:03:36] Speaker B: How many. How many games you think they'll win?
[01:03:38] Speaker D: All right, I'm the worst person to ask, but I think we're gonna win every game.
[01:03:42] Speaker A: Every game. I like that. 17.
[01:03:44] Speaker D: I'm a big browns fan. Like, I'm there every game. I'm there.
[01:03:48] Speaker B: You go at all the games?
[01:03:49] Speaker D: I do, I do.
[01:03:51] Speaker B: Do you go to the media lot in tailgate first?
[01:03:52] Speaker D: I do, I do. I go on the. What's up one street? 6th street.
[01:03:56] Speaker B: So you bring the party to Tailgate?
[01:03:57] Speaker D: I sure do. I'm always there, baby. Anything for the dogs.
[01:04:05] Speaker B: Well, that's good. I mean, we need people to bring it out.
[01:04:07] Speaker D: And I'm always there for. I got videos for days for the Browns.
Videos for days for the Browns. Who's the other guy? Miles Garrett. Fucking Miles Garrett? Let me tell you about Miles Garrett? That man is hard.
[01:04:21] Speaker C: He's a big dude. Yeah, he's a stupid.
[01:04:23] Speaker D: The way he ran over that one guy last.
I don't even know what to say right now.
Let me take this shot and then I'll tell you.
[01:04:31] Speaker B: Okay, we'll wait.
[01:04:34] Speaker D: It was hard as fuck.
[01:04:39] Speaker A: How many shots did the golfers out there buy you guys today?
[01:04:44] Speaker D: Oh, man. A lot. She took.
[01:04:47] Speaker B: Yeah, she took all yours.
[01:04:49] Speaker C: She said she has to go to work later.
[01:04:51] Speaker D: She said she has to go to work later. So I took her shots and my shots altogether.
[01:04:55] Speaker A: That's fair.
[01:04:56] Speaker D: Party girl era.
I'm actually not a party girl era. I'm supposed to be getting married, but I'm not engaged yet.
[01:05:03] Speaker A: Those are. Those are fake ticks.
I don't know if it's.
[01:05:07] Speaker D: My daughter got Lyme disease a couple days ago.
[01:05:09] Speaker B: Oh, that's not good.
[01:05:11] Speaker D: No, it's not good.
It's not good. It was shaped. I still gotta take my shot.
[01:05:18] Speaker B: Yeah, you've been nursing that for a while.
[01:05:20] Speaker D: I have.
[01:05:20] Speaker B: What's going on? What's going on?
[01:05:21] Speaker A: Have a shot.
[01:05:22] Speaker B: I thought you were. I thought you were a party girl.
[01:05:24] Speaker D: I have a party girl here. You guys want to.
[01:05:28] Speaker C: I'll prove it first, the first on air shot, I think, in the show.
[01:05:36] Speaker D: I think it is first female, too. First female shot.
Yeah, but I'm a Republican, so I don't do the Democrat shit.
[01:05:46] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:05:50] Speaker D: Liberals.
[01:05:51] Speaker B: So are you pretty excited about this upcoming election? Yeah, yeah.
[01:05:54] Speaker D: I'm a big Republican. Like, I could talk about this for days.
[01:05:57] Speaker A: Okay, let's go, Kenny, you can too. Get it started.
[01:06:02] Speaker D: What are you liberal? Kenny, are you liberal?
[01:06:06] Speaker B: No, I mean, we just don't talk about politics generally on the show.
[01:06:09] Speaker D: That's because politics offend people and people are piece.
They are.
[01:06:14] Speaker A: It's a brown.
[01:06:15] Speaker D: Agree with me. They are.
[01:06:17] Speaker B: But people can be offended.
[01:06:19] Speaker D: They are hardcore. I'd be like, my things, they'll ask me, what are you? I mean, I'm a Republican. Oh, my God, you're a Republican. You're racist. You're racist. I'm not racist.
[01:06:30] Speaker B: So what are your thoughts about the recent Donald Trump conviction?
[01:06:35] Speaker D: So my opinion on Donald Trump, he might not be the best guy in the world, but he's a good president.
Look at our economy. When he was president, it was up to here. And then when he became. When Joe Biden became president, it came down to here, did it not? It did. Our economy went to shit when Joe Biden became president.
You have to agree with me on that.
[01:07:01] Speaker B: I'm not agreeing, disagreeing. I'm just. I was just getting your opinion.
[01:07:04] Speaker D: That's my opinion. So, you know, I think Donald Trump is smart. He's. I mean, look at him. He's a millionaire. He's a businessman. He knows what he's doing.
[01:07:12] Speaker A: And now a convicted felon.
[01:07:14] Speaker B: And now a convicted felon.
[01:07:15] Speaker D: Sometimes you gotta be a little dirty with it.
[01:07:18] Speaker B: Is Donald Trump in his party era?
[01:07:20] Speaker D: Donald Trump has been in his party era.
[01:07:22] Speaker A: He hasn't left it.
[01:07:24] Speaker D: He has never left it. Which I probably will never leave it either.
[01:07:28] Speaker B: Which porn star that Donald Trump has been linked to is your favorite porn? Is it stormy Daniels or Karen McDougal?
[01:07:36] Speaker D: I was gonna say Brecky Hill.
[01:07:37] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:07:38] Speaker D: Do you know Brecky Hill?
[01:07:41] Speaker B: Well, we won't talk about that either.
[01:07:43] Speaker A: That's a yes.
[01:07:45] Speaker D: Brekkie Hill is a nice looking woman. I'm not gay, but I know a nice, fine woman and that you boys look up Brecky Hill.
[01:07:58] Speaker B: We'll have to do that.
[01:07:59] Speaker A: Yeah. Got a picture?
[01:08:01] Speaker D: I will. I'll show you her. She's a fine woman.
[01:08:03] Speaker B: We're gonna get a picture right now.
[01:08:04] Speaker D: I guess I'm all for. For black haired women. Cause obviously I have black hair.
Wait, someone just sent me a dirty DM.
[01:08:15] Speaker C: I've never heard of breaking out.
[01:08:16] Speaker A: Read the dirty DM out loud.
[01:08:17] Speaker D: I'll send $100 for one nude.
[01:08:21] Speaker A: Dang, that's good money.
[01:08:23] Speaker B: Is that somebody here?
[01:08:25] Speaker D: I said 200.
Let me look up Brecky Hill.
Man, my boyfriend's gonna kill me.
[01:08:34] Speaker A: I thought you said he was like fiance, like you. Get married soon.
[01:08:37] Speaker D: Soon.
[01:08:37] Speaker B: I thought Ron was your sugar daddy.
[01:08:39] Speaker D: Yes.
[01:08:39] Speaker A: There's a lot of conflicting reports.
[01:08:42] Speaker D: Doesn't have a boyfriend.
[01:08:43] Speaker B: Oh.
[01:08:44] Speaker A: A lot of.
[01:08:45] Speaker B: Lot of conflict, Sarah. It's allowed.
[01:08:49] Speaker C: I thought you said she had black hair.
[01:08:51] Speaker D: No, listen, that's not what I said.
I'm all for black haired girls, but this one doesn't.
[01:09:01] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness.
[01:09:02] Speaker C: She's a pretty lady.
[01:09:04] Speaker B: Very pretty lady.
[01:09:06] Speaker D: Fans. They're dirty.
[01:09:07] Speaker B: I'm sure they are.
[01:09:09] Speaker D: There's another girl, but I can't remember. Her name's Summer.
[01:09:13] Speaker B: The Donald Trump did.
[01:09:16] Speaker A: Allegedly.
[01:09:17] Speaker D: Probably fucked millions of girls. Let's be honest. I fucked Donald Trump.
[01:09:23] Speaker B: All right?
[01:09:23] Speaker D: I'd fuck Donald Trump of the week. Would you?
[01:09:27] Speaker A: Me? Absolutely not.
[01:09:28] Speaker D: Yeah, for a million dollars.
[01:09:30] Speaker A: No.
[01:09:30] Speaker D: Shut up. You're lying. Because if her. If it was for dollar 300, I would.
All right, that sounds a little trashy. Let's not do 300.
[01:09:41] Speaker A: 301.
[01:09:42] Speaker B: So you. 301.
[01:09:43] Speaker D: That's right. 301.
Donald Trump. If you're listening to this 305.
Who's.
[01:09:50] Speaker B: More handsome, Donald Trump or Kevin Stefanski?
[01:09:52] Speaker D: Kevin Stefanski. Are you fucking kidding me? That's not even a question.
But Donald Trump has the money, though.
[01:09:58] Speaker A: True.
[01:09:59] Speaker D: Donald Trump has.
[01:10:00] Speaker B: Well, Kevin Stepanski just got a contract extension, so.
[01:10:02] Speaker D: That's right. That's right. That's.
[01:10:04] Speaker B: He's also got some money.
[01:10:05] Speaker D: That's right.
[01:10:06] Speaker B: I mean, not as much as Donald Trump, but this is fun.
[01:10:08] Speaker D: I like this. I like this.
[01:10:10] Speaker A: See, we talk about a lot of things.
[01:10:12] Speaker B: That's right.
[01:10:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:10:13] Speaker D: I like this.
[01:10:13] Speaker B: We're a variety show.
[01:10:14] Speaker D: You need a woman on your show. I'm here for it.
[01:10:17] Speaker B: You're welcome to call in anytime. You can call in on the hot take hotline and give us your thoughts.
[01:10:20] Speaker D: And I'll be here. I have a nice voice for it.
[01:10:23] Speaker B: You have a good voice for.
[01:10:24] Speaker D: I have a beautiful voice.
[01:10:25] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:10:26] Speaker D: Beautiful.
[01:10:27] Speaker B: Well, I will say that we've had a ton of fun talking to you here today at the Brownsbackers golf outing.
[01:10:33] Speaker D: We had a lot of fun here, too.
[01:10:35] Speaker B: Sounds like you had a lot of fun out on a golf course.
[01:10:38] Speaker D: Fuck, yeah, we did.
[01:10:39] Speaker B: We're bringing the party era to the.
[01:10:41] Speaker D: Greens, so we bring the party era everywhere I go. Wherever Dez is at, that's where the party's at.
[01:10:48] Speaker A: That's fair. I think that's. Could that be added to the taglines of the show?
[01:10:52] Speaker D: Wherever Des is at, the party's at the party.
[01:10:54] Speaker A: Is that all right?
[01:10:56] Speaker B: All right. You heard it here first.
[01:10:58] Speaker A: Yeah. We appreciate you being on and giving your takes on football, politics, life, pretty much everything in between.
[01:11:04] Speaker B: Only fans.
[01:11:05] Speaker D: You can ask me more. I'm all here for it. I'm honest.
[01:11:08] Speaker B: Well, it's only a three hour show.
[01:11:10] Speaker A: So we gotta keep it to him.
[01:11:12] Speaker D: I would keep it way longer, but.
[01:11:14] Speaker A: We do appreciate having you on. Thank you for joining us and thanks for all you did to help out with the.
[01:11:19] Speaker D: Of course. Anytime. I'm always here.
[01:11:21] Speaker A: Thank you.
[01:11:22] Speaker B: Thanks so much.
All right, so we are now here with Justin from the Kent Browns backers. Justin, how's it going today?
[01:11:42] Speaker E: It's going good, guys. How about you?
[01:11:44] Speaker A: Good.
[01:11:44] Speaker B: Beautiful out here. Tell us a little about what you do, what your role is for the Kent Brownsbackers.
[01:11:50] Speaker E: One of my many hats is the social media, whether it be Facebook. We do Instagram a little bit, and I handle the website. I gotta actually update that a little bit. We're a little behind on that. But just what we always say here is, like, we're all volunteers and we try to like, fit it into our lives of when we can do the brownsbacker stuff.
[01:12:09] Speaker B: Sure.
[01:12:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:12:10] Speaker B: Certainly busy, I'm sure.
[01:12:11] Speaker E: Oh, yeah.
[01:12:12] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, you guys are definitely putting on a good showing here as far as the organization, everything behind this, everything's running so smoothly.
Obviously. No complaints. People are loving this. What does it take to kind of. It looks like you're pretty involved with this, as well with Ron and the other guys. What does it take to put something like this on?
[01:12:31] Speaker E: I mean, this is obviously a yearly tradition, and it's always about kind of, like, outdoing the year before one way or another, trying to figure out what we can tighten up. I don't think we've yet had a perfect year. I mean, we've made money, which is great, but having, like, even just some little things, like, we forgot stadium mustard this year. Luckily. Luckily. I don't think anybody's complained about it, and that's actually kind of.
[01:12:50] Speaker B: I was going.
[01:12:52] Speaker E: Cause we had one year, people were complaining, like, oh, why didn't you get stadium ice? So we always made sure we got it, but this year, we forgot. But the hot dogs are better this year.
[01:12:59] Speaker B: The hot dogs, they were phenomenal. Where'd those come from?
[01:13:03] Speaker E: Those came from one of our viewing locations, the American Legion. We went through their distributor for that. The only thing we didn't get from them, food wise, was the italian sausages. I was the one that picked that up. Those are de russes, because those are just. We got, like, sausages, I think, from them last year from the American Legion. It wasn't as good. And I'm like, no, we're gonna. I'm gonna take care of that.
[01:13:22] Speaker A: We're gonna.
[01:13:23] Speaker E: We're gonna get the derusses. Those are just amazing.
[01:13:25] Speaker B: The hot dogs were great. I mean, they were huge.
[01:13:28] Speaker E: Mm hmm.
[01:13:29] Speaker A: Yeah. So, I mean, you mentioned you guys have made some money off of this. We talked to Ron a little bit about this, but I know that you guys work with a number of charities. I mean, what does it mean to you being able to work with an organization like the camp brownsbackers to help with these charities?
[01:13:45] Speaker E: It's fun to sit down at the end of the year and, like, figure out what we're gonna do with the money. And, like, last year, we, like, started giving to a few different ones. Like, we actually. We opened it up for people to come in and, like, pitch us, like, what charity should we be looking at? And, like, we prefer local. And that's one, like, thing we can always hang our hat on to where, like, yeah, we've given to a lot of different organizations, but they are local and there's actually, like, names behind it of, like, people. Like what? Local. Like, your next door neighbor could be benefiting from this. So that's always, like, the thing that we've. We've really prided ourselves on.
[01:14:20] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. And so non browns backers or charity related here. What do you think the browns are gonna do this year?
[01:14:29] Speaker E: Hopefully not suck.
That's kind of.
[01:14:32] Speaker A: That's what we all hope for. Sometimes we get let down. But do you have, like, a record prediction or a specific area where you think the browns will really excel?
[01:14:39] Speaker E: I want. I want a double digit win that's with the Browns. I've kind of learned over the years have, like, low standards. Like, I remember being like, if we can get over 500, I'll be happy and we get two wins. So it'll be. It'll be good.
[01:14:50] Speaker A: You thought you had low standards.
[01:14:52] Speaker B: Fair enough.
[01:14:53] Speaker E: I'll, uh, I'll flip it on you guys, because whether you guys know this or not, I do have 13 years podcast experience.
[01:14:59] Speaker A: Oh, nice.
[01:15:00] Speaker E: So this, this goes in with Browns. Uh, have you been keeping up with Nathan Segura and what he's been doing?
[01:15:08] Speaker B: I can tell you that I was first introduced to Nathan Segura when he was the fantasy consultant on CB's, doing sitims and stardoms. And to get to where he's at now as voice of the Browns is really impressive. The career trajectory that he's done, obviously, he does the radio stuff for the Browns as well. Also a big wwe guy.
[01:15:30] Speaker E: Yeah, that's kind of what I was hinging to of. He debuted in the ring at AIW's Gauntlet for the gold 17.
[01:15:36] Speaker B: Wait, he's actually wrestling?
[01:15:38] Speaker E: He wrestled. And then there's. Because I. My podcast experience was the local independent wrestling scene.
[01:15:44] Speaker A: Oh, nice.
[01:15:45] Speaker E: And, I mean, the people that came through there, if you're a wrestling fan, it's. It's. It's crazy.
[01:15:49] Speaker B: It's just, it's so funny how many people that we've run into even just like, the last event that for whatever reason, wrestling, like, oh, yeah. It just goes together.
[01:15:59] Speaker A: It really does. There's been so, like, more. More.
It's just not a coincidence anymore. Like, why are there so many?
[01:16:06] Speaker B: Like, the last outing we were at, there was the guy that wrote. He'd written books on, like, the history of the WCW, the WWF and ECW. But.
[01:16:14] Speaker E: Sorry, anyone, Segura is. He is one of the commentators right now. Not every single show but for AIW, absolutely intense wrestling. And they. They're literally the best company. It definitely in the region, potentially state too. Like, if you are a wrestling fan, they're like wrestlers that have come through the local scene, even just through AIW itself is. Is crazy. There's people that will be at SummerSlam this year that started in Cleveland.
[01:16:42] Speaker B: Sure.
[01:16:43] Speaker E: And Nathan Segura is like, he's now, you know, I said partially a commentator for them and he's kind of involved in some story lines. And the next show coming up this month called shook ones, it's gonna be an akron at the Tadmore shrine. I don't have the date off top of my head, but he's gonna be announcing something and I think there could be more to come with him. Maybe in the ring, I don't know. But that's. It's something that's interesting to, like, be a Browns fan and, like, have him come out. Like, he did the thing on Browns radio where he talked about everything.
I know you can catch that clip online and. And he's getting to live out, like, another part of his dream. And, like, to see that dude, like you said, of how far he's come, it's like really cool, too. And yet him just like, I'm gonna start doing this wrestling thing. I'm just gonna do the commentating. I'm gonna get in this way. So, yeah, it's pretty cool.
[01:17:29] Speaker B: So I've only ever seen Nathan, like, in his suit and tie. Like, is he yoked? Like, is this guy.
[01:17:34] Speaker E: I'd have to pull up a picture if I can find him from the.
[01:17:36] Speaker A: Show to bet he's jacked. Just. Cause he just seems so, like, like when he's like. Yeah, there's. I don't know. I bet he's jacked, bro.
[01:17:44] Speaker E: Yeah, he did a little bit in the ring. It's pretty. Kind of. Pretty cool to see something like that. It came out of nowhere.
[01:17:51] Speaker A: We gotta throw a picture up there. Is Nathan Segura in fact, Jack?
[01:17:57] Speaker B: Yeah, no, good. Good for him. I mean, obviously, Pat McAfee is another one that living out his WWE dream as well, so.
[01:18:04] Speaker E: He's from Pittsburgh. We don't talk about that.
[01:18:06] Speaker A: Yeah, that's true.
[01:18:07] Speaker B: That does annoy me.
I like Pat's show, but the fact.
[01:18:10] Speaker A: That he talks about Yen, talks about.
[01:18:12] Speaker B: Pittsburgh all the time. They talk about the Pirates like they're the best team in baseball.
[01:18:15] Speaker A: Pirates trash.
[01:18:17] Speaker B: But no, it's. That's. That's funny about.
[01:18:21] Speaker A: With the Browns, though. With the Browns.
What's your final. You said you want to get to double digit wins. What's your actual prediction for number of wins?
[01:18:30] Speaker E: I'm going to say eleven. I think that's the number I keep seeing.
[01:18:34] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:18:35] Speaker E: I'll definitely be happy with eleven, but no matter what, like, if we can win the division, the fact that we have not won the division since 1989.
[01:18:42] Speaker A: The Oilers have won it more recently than us. Yeah.
[01:18:45] Speaker E: And we was it. That was the last year before this past season that we actually finished better than the Steelers.
[01:18:52] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:18:53] Speaker E: And it felt so good. It's like, yeah, we didn't necessarily win the division, but we. We finally, like, ended above them. And I'm happy with.
[01:19:00] Speaker B: With at least that if there's something that you think might hold them back from that, is it Deshawn not playing up to expectation, play calling with Stefanski, Nick Chubb being, you know, hurt for some period of the start of season? I mean, is there anything in particular that worries you going into the season, Chubb?
[01:19:17] Speaker E: Like, with. With running backs in general, you see them, like, go down so much or, like, have to have an elite, true elite running back and have them stay that way. Somebody like Adrian Peterson, who stayed at the top first as long as he did, is rare. You see those crazy drop offs time after time. I I'm hoping for the best for him, and then, obviously, Deshawn Watson after that. Like, he's not proven anything. And that's been, like, obviously a sore subject for a lot of us Browns fans because I liked Baker, but, like, I knew we needed to improve, and I don't know if that was the right decision. Like, I remember getting the alert on my phone, like, oh, he's passed on the Browns, and like, oh, great. All right, cool. Now figure out what we're going to do next. And then, like, days later, it's like, oh, they signed. I'm like, what?
[01:19:58] Speaker A: Yeah, it went from zero to 100 pretty quick after it had gone from 100 to zero. So, yeah, it's pretty wild. I mean, you bring up two good points, Nick Chubb and Deshaun Watson. Obviously, the biggest factors, I think, more so Deshaun Watson, because we proved last year that with the roster makeup that we have, that the Browns have, they can kind of survive without. Without a top tier running back.
[01:20:21] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:20:22] Speaker A: You know, once we took away, Naheed.
[01:20:24] Speaker B: Hines isn't a top tier running back.
[01:20:26] Speaker A: No, he's not.
He's not bad. I like Naheed Mines, but he's not a top tier running back, so.
But, no. Hey, Justin, we appreciate you being on. We appreciate everything you guys have done for the, with the brownsbackers outing here and that you continue to do with the brownsbackers in general for the charities, for everybody else that you guys work. So thank you so much. You guys are doing good things. Keep up the good work, and I'm sure we'll talk again soon.
[01:20:51] Speaker E: Definitely. And thank you guys for joining in on all the fun.
[01:20:53] Speaker A: Thanks.
[01:20:53] Speaker B: Appreciate it.
[01:21:09] Speaker A: All right, so we're here at the Kent Brownsbackers, the 23rd annual Kent Brownsbackers golf outing. John Hughes is joining us. John Hughes made the trip up from Cincinnati to join the outing. John, how's things going?
[01:21:21] Speaker F: Pretty good. How we doing today, guys?
[01:21:22] Speaker A: Good.
[01:21:23] Speaker B: Beautiful day.
[01:21:24] Speaker A: Good. And so how was. How was the course? I know you were playing today. How was. How was the course?
[01:21:27] Speaker F: Yeah, the course was beautiful, man. It's my first time playing here. A little bit more challenging than I expected, but I had a decent round. We did good as a team, too.
[01:21:35] Speaker B: So what's the strength of your game? Are you a big driver of the golf ball? Great punter? What's your thing?
[01:21:40] Speaker F: It's funny you ask. It depends on what kind of day it is, right? My drive might be on one day, my wedge might be on. So it just depends. Depends. But I had a good drives. Good drives today.
[01:21:48] Speaker A: I hear you were very close to winning. Long drive.
[01:21:51] Speaker F: I got close, and it's funny, the group ahead of us actually got the long drive and he came back like, hey, how far did you guys hit him? Like, not far enough. He's like, all right, cool.
[01:22:00] Speaker A: You always got to check it. You always got to check it. So have you done more golf outings or is this kind of like a new love that you've discovered? Like, I gotta get to all the golf outings I can?
[01:22:09] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, yeah. No, definitely. I've been getting to more outings lately. Lately. I wish I could get some more practice in before I get to the outings, but I've been having a good time getting out and enjoying the weather, too.
[01:22:18] Speaker A: Absolutely. Absolutely. And so, you know, we're going to. We're going to keep this pretty short and sweet today, get you back to mingling with some of these Browns fans. I know you're here for them, not necessarily for us, so.
But real quick. I mean, a lot has happened, not only with the Browns, but the AFC north in the off season here. So what are your thoughts on Cleveland? Where do they stand and how do you think they have north is going to shake out this season?
[01:22:43] Speaker F: I think we're looking really good for this season coming up, I think it's going to be a tough division like it is always in AFC north, always with Bengals, Ravens and Steelers. But I think we're bringing everything to the table this year and coming in healthy. I think we're going to have a good year now.
[01:22:59] Speaker B: Were you out at OTAs recently?
[01:23:01] Speaker F: Yeah. Yeah, the Browns had us out for alumni barbecue actually this past Thursday.
[01:23:06] Speaker B: Oh, nice.
[01:23:06] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:23:07] Speaker B: So is it tough for you this time? I mean, you're still a young guy. I mean, do you still kind of go into things like that and, like, seeing the team in a camaraderie? Kind of feel like, man, there's still some in the tank.
[01:23:17] Speaker F: It's funny, man, my foot stood on the line the whole time in practice, man. I was ready to get in. But no, it's funny this time of year, especially a little bit later on, like end of July, August, I always feel like I'm supposed to be somewhere. Like I'm missing something.
[01:23:29] Speaker B: Right.
[01:23:29] Speaker F: Ever since I retired.
[01:23:30] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, hell, you talk about him being young. Dude just mistook him for a current player.
[01:23:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:23:35] Speaker F: And I didn't correct him.
[01:23:37] Speaker A: No, he shouldn't.
[01:23:39] Speaker F: We're looking good this year, so.
[01:23:40] Speaker A: Absolutely. Yeah. Now, so what about the other AFC north teams? I mean, do you, who do you think made the biggest jump in the offseason?
[01:23:48] Speaker F: That's a good, that's a good question.
I would say between, I'll say between Pittsburgh and the Bengals, honestly. I know the, actually, I take that back. I'd say Ravens.
[01:24:02] Speaker A: This is, this is what's tough, right. Is everybody did so well in the offseason. Yes.
[01:24:07] Speaker F: And usually it's like a one or two team AFC north, that had a really good free agency offseason. But I think all around the board, they all had a pretty good offseason.
[01:24:14] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, I know we've talked about it at length with, with Pittsburgh especially. Well, I mean, obviously the Ravens got Derek Henry. That's a right.
[01:24:21] Speaker F: And that's the same as I thought about Derek Henry. I was like, yeah, never mind. Let me phrase.
[01:24:25] Speaker A: But then with Pittsburgh, they were basically somehow, even with as poor of a team as they had last year, they made it the playoffs with Kenny Pickett, and now they've got legitimate quarterbacks, they've got a legitimate defense. Like it's.
[01:24:38] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:24:39] Speaker A: Yeah. The Browns picked the wrong time to be really, really good because nobody else is really, really good, too.
[01:24:43] Speaker B: It's gonna be a gauntlet for sure.
[01:24:45] Speaker F: At the end of the day, man, I'll take our dogs over anybody when it comes down to that fourth quarter. Gotta get it. You know what I mean?
[01:24:52] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[01:24:53] Speaker B: Speaking of dogs, did you get a chance when you were out at Ota's, at the barbecue to talk with Nick Chubb at all?
[01:24:59] Speaker F: No, I actually didn't even see Nick out there when I was there. Got to talk to Deshaun for the first time. That was nice. And they got to catch up with James. I played with him in Tampa back in 16.
[01:25:10] Speaker A: Nick Chubb was rehabbing. He was making sure he's working hard.
[01:25:14] Speaker B: I was just curious if you had, like, we're all trying to, like, read the tea leaves to figure out, like, when Nick's going to come back, right?
[01:25:21] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, no, I get it for sure. I wish I knew the answer.
[01:25:24] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[01:25:25] Speaker B: What about this, John? Does John seem like, is Sean's shoulder okay?
[01:25:30] Speaker F: Yeah. I mean, obviously those tasks you're not seeing a lot, but from what I saw, he's getting solid.
[01:25:34] Speaker B: Nice.
[01:25:34] Speaker A: Awesome. Yeah, awesome. Well, hey, John, like I said, short and sweet. We're going to let you go ahead and get back to the party here, especially now that the golf round is over. I see everybody. You kind of see them filtering in. If you're watching the video version, the camera, everybody's getting dinner, getting their food. I think it's like steaks and stuff. So it's going to be. It's going to be pretty good.
[01:25:52] Speaker F: Right on, man. I can't wait. Appreciate you having me on, guys. Thanks.
[01:25:54] Speaker B: Absolutely. Thanks so much.
[01:26:11] Speaker A: All right, so we've got Vince from True Fantravel here today, our newest sponsor, and they've put together some pretty fabulous trips for away games for Browns this season. So first of all, Vince, how are you today? Today?
[01:26:23] Speaker G: Doing awesome, guys. Thanks so much for having me.
[01:26:26] Speaker A: Yeah, no problem. So tell us a little bit, first of all, before we get into the brown specific stuff, tell us a little bit about true fan travel and what it is you guys do.
[01:26:34] Speaker G: True fan is dedicated to the fans. You know, I'm a sports fan. You might see some Philadelphia Eagles stuff around and that's where I live and that's who my team is. But I'm addicted.
I'm addicted to the fan experience. Right? And we've done trips now for dozens of different fan bases across multiple sports. Tomorrow we fly to London for the MLB London series. So we've done international trips, we've done a lot of local bus trips and obviously these domestic trips to big cities like Nashville and New Orleans.
And we're extremely excited for the trips coming up this season for the Browns and everything that we've learned here in the past few months with our new partnership with Cleveland Browns.
[01:27:21] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[01:27:22] Speaker B: So what kind of things are included in these trips for the client?
[01:27:27] Speaker G: Absolutely. So we're our travel company at heart, so I'm actually allowed to say it for the first time, but we are having a private charter flight for Browns fans for the Las Vegas game. So it's going to be all Cleveland Browns fans.
No Eagles fans or any other fan base allowed on the plane. Except me. Except me. Won't be wearing green. I'll be wearing orange or brown.
So that's a big deal. It takes a while to get a flight set with the Department of Transportation, and now we're legally allowed to share the news. So that's going to be a new addition for fans that maybe already have a hotel or they have other things. They can still get on that party plane, as I'll call it here. But we also do hotel room bookings, bus transportation, the game tickets, obviously trying to keep as many Browns fans as possible together. And we also sort of love the tailgate experience, and it's something that's near and dear to our hearts. So when we do tailgates all over the country and even internationally, it's all about great food, entertainment, good drink selection, and a big party. Right? So that's what we can expect this season for the Brown with the Browns fans. You know, the other thing that's included, and obviously it helps when, with the partnerships that we have, but having some former Browns alumni that we can't announce just yet who they are and who's going to which trip, but we will very soon. So the weekend consists of a welcome party, a Q and A. It consists of the tailgate in the game, and, you know, so travel, for some people can be a little bit stressful. It can be difficult for some people to pick all these different things. They got to organize their friends, they got to make sure they get the time off. So we're trying to make it a stress free, worry free type of thing. You book with us, I always tell people the trip starts when you book, so our team is always available to answer questions. We got about 700 emails the week of the schedule release from just Browns fans alone, so we're doing our best to get back to everyone in a timely manner.
We have over 150 people, fans, guests, committed to the Las Vegas trip. I know I keep mentioning that one, but the way it works and what we've learned is when a trip's on fire like that. Let's make it the best one ever and then we can talk, you know, get into the second half of the season and talk about New Orleans and talk about Denver and all the great places that the Browns are going. And hopefully there's a playoff chart or two down the road. Right?
[01:30:12] Speaker A: Yeah. And I know they're. They're definitely going to be great trips. All of them are going to be great trips. But as you mentioned, they are kind of focusing on Vegas. Before we get into that a little bit more, I do want to go back to one thing you mentioned while you were talking about what you guys do. So you mentioned that the tailgate experience is near and dear to your heart. So have you ever been to a munilot tailgate?
[01:30:33] Speaker G: No. And this year is going to happen. I can't wait. You know, I've been to Cleveland a bunch.
One of the great things about Cleveland in my mind is the proximity to Canton and the Pro Football hall of Fame. So we've done some trips there. You have the baseball stadium right there. But I've yet to be at one of those epic tailgates, so let's make it happen.
[01:30:56] Speaker A: Yeah. And I just bring it up because, you know, you're talking about tailgating out there and an exclusive tailgate. All I'm saying is you better bring it. Cause Browns fans love their tailgate.
[01:31:04] Speaker B: It's a hard life.
[01:31:07] Speaker G: Hey, I've been working hard at this with my team for about seven, eight years. I'm actually an aerospace engineer. I quit my job and I do sports travel now, and I'm so happy. And, you know, we talked to many different teams in the league this year, and we really wanted to make sure we picked the right team and the right fan base to make our first NFL partnership. And we're so thrilled that it was the Browns and we chose them for many reasons that I can get into later, for sure.
[01:31:40] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. No, back to the Vegas trip. I know this is going to be the first. It's the focus right now. Tell us specifically the Vegas trip. What sets it apart? I know they've got a brand new stadium, but besides that, what else sets Vegas apart?
[01:31:57] Speaker G: Vegas is a crazy place.
It's funny, there's some people that are big gamblers. It's not really my cup of tea, but, I mean, if you're. You go there, you can gamble to, you know, you kind of forget what time of day it is. There's a million casinos. The food is great. I mean, we can get into the different hot spots, steakhouses and sushi spots. And then for me, it's the party scene, too. You know, there's a lot of cool pool parties and DJ's and, I mean, three nights is enough. At one point in time, we were thinking a four day trip, but we want to make sure everyone gets back and they can rest up for the next game.
[01:32:39] Speaker A: Smart. And we went. Fun fact, we actually went for this gentleman's bachelor party to Vegas. And yes, you are more than correct. Three days is enough.
[01:32:49] Speaker B: Plenty.
So, bottom line, I just want to make sure I have. So this is flights, this is hotels, this is even tailgating. This is an all in one kind of package, an inclusive package to bring the easiest possible kind of convenience package to the client at the end of the day.
[01:33:07] Speaker G: Exactly. You said it perfectly. I mean, at the end of the day, it's about the community, right? It's the Browns fan community being together the whole time. And how many trips have you guys been on, if it's sports or personal, where you meet someone from your hometown or another Browns fan and you guys become best friends on the trip just because you have that thing in common with them. Them. And it's cool because we'll have one central location where everyone's staying. You're going to see people at breakfast, the slot machines, you know, on your walks around the town. So I really think, you know, we're just going to be a small part of the invasion, let's call it, to Vegas. You know, there'll be the true fan travel group. There'll be other Browns fans there. They'll be the local Browns Backers chapter. So, you know, we're just a small, little piece of the weekend, but it's definitely the vip way to go and a way to get all these different opportunities and experiences.
[01:34:01] Speaker A: In one, you mentioned the local Brownsbackers group, and, you know, we are the unofficial podcast of Brownsbackers everywhere is what we call ourselves. But we do a lot of interviews with brownsbackers. We've become pretty close friends with quite a few of their groups. I have talked to a few members from the Brownsbackers group out there that said, they're going to bring it that week, too, when the Browns visit. So to your point, it is going to be a huge, huge Browns party. You may or may not know this yet. Just want to throw it out there. You guys plan in that tailgate that you guys are doing. Are you meeting up with the Brownsbackers group and kind of combining everybody all in one?
[01:34:36] Speaker G: So we have not communicated directly with the chapter in Vegas. But we do have a call set up for the future.
We're going to combine forces and make sure that we can do it big and do it right and do it together. It might be that there's the tailgate on Sunday, there's another event on Saturday, but we want to make sure, quote unquote, we're not competing with the fan base, that we're not, you know, creating a new tradition. We want to really instill, you know, faith in everyone, that we're just adding value to what Browns fans are already doing, maybe turning it up a notch in certain events. But at the end of the day, like, we're here to serve Brown's fans, not to, you know, do something different.
[01:35:21] Speaker A: Absolutely. And the more sounds awesome, it's kind of like, the more the merrier. I mean, and we all. I know you're you. You mentioned you're an Eagles fan. Again, not holding that against you, but you'll learn that every. Every fan base says that we're the best fan base or our fans are everywhere, whatever the case may be. Brown's fans really are everywhere, and there are so many of them, and they just, you have events like this, they kind of come out of the woodwork. So I expect it to be a really crazy time out there in Vegas.
[01:35:52] Speaker G: It will be. And just like, on a personal level, when I started my first company, Philly Sports trips, and we really kind of proved the concept in Philadelphia before we expanded and started serving other fan bases, I always used to tell people, you should become an Eagles fan because the Eagles haven't won their first Super bowl yet. The year we started our company, they won. So now we're working with the Browns. I think. I think, guys, I think it's time. It's time. But it doesn't mean that the Eagles didn't have it and the Browns don't have. Have the dedicated fan base and the rich history, right? There's still championships. There's still the history there still. But there is a little bit of the fan base is starving, just like the Eagles fans were. And we're excited about that because, man, that first one, guys, when it comes, it's special. So I'm hoping it's this year.
[01:36:44] Speaker A: I'll tell you what, if the Browns win a Super bowl this year, the first year, the true fan travel signs on to be a partner with the Cleveland Browns, and you guys become the, you know, quote unquote lucky charm for teams everywhere, your business is going to take off.
[01:36:59] Speaker G: So, hey, I'm doing it for you guys. And honestly, what we can say, we can start it here.
The season starts in Cleveland, right? Week one's a home game. We can say the season starts in Cleveland. It ends in New Orleans. Let's do it. Let's put it out there.
[01:37:16] Speaker A: I like it. I like it.
Hey, Vince, we really appreciate you being on with us today, giving us a little bit of insight into what exactly true fan travel is trying to do for Browns fans. I look forward to at least one of these trips, and I think they're all going to be a really great time. So everybody take a look at our socials, keep an eye out. We're making announcements as they kind of come available for all the different trips, starting with Las Vegas.
[01:37:43] Speaker G: Love it, guys, I'd love to grab a beer when I'm out in Cleveland in August for the Brownsbacker president summit. So let's. Let's exchange schedules and make that happen.
[01:37:53] Speaker A: Absolutely. Absolutely.
[01:37:54] Speaker B: Let us know.
[01:37:55] Speaker A: All right. Thanks, Vince. Appreciate it.
[01:37:57] Speaker G: Go Browns. Thank you, guys.
[01:38:13] Speaker A: Okay. And so for the rest of the off season here, this. This was actually our last, last planned offseason event, our off season, to be clear. Yeah, our off season. And I will. I'm actually going to caveat that with maybe we do have something that's in the works that we're possibly planning. We're trying to work out all the details so we can bring it to you guys as soon as possible, let you plan for it. But we may be hosting a big season kickoff party at one of our sponsors locations, but that'll be in season.
[01:38:43] Speaker B: For us at that point because we'll be more or less. We'll be kicking off our third season here.
[01:38:48] Speaker A: That would be. We got a tentative date for that. That's the week before the season starts. So we. We will just stay tuned.
[01:38:54] Speaker B: Stay tuned. But I'm saying that that's not our offseason anymore. No, this is our last big off season.
[01:38:59] Speaker A: We're full dong swinging at that point.
[01:39:00] Speaker B: We're full dog swinging.
[01:39:01] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:39:02] Speaker B: This is the offseason, but once training camp starts mid July, we'll be back with regular episodes.
[01:39:08] Speaker A: Yeah. And so once again, let's talk about the Nick Chill football giveaway for the second offseason in a row. As we mentioned before, we're giving away some autograph Brown's memorabilia. Hold that up again. I think we had some, some technical difficulties earlier this year. We're giving away a Nick Chubb autographed football. The winner will be chosen from our YouTube subscribers. So that's the big thing. You have to be subscribed on YouTube because that's the pool that we will be choosing from for the winner. Winner will be announced the first week of the season and there will be other ways to earn bonus entries. Basically, check us out on social medias, follow us on everything and keep an eye out there to learn how you can earn bonus entries. But the big thing, once again, you got to be subscribed on YouTube because that is who the winner will be chosen from. There is a link in the show notes straight to our YouTube if you like it. Or just go to YouTube and search.
[01:39:57] Speaker B: Earning riversports cast this is a great memorabilia piece as well because the Browns helmet is like embroidered, which is cool. And it also has the NFL championship dates on the backside.
[01:40:11] Speaker A: Oh, nice. I didn't even notice that.
[01:40:13] Speaker B: Yeah, very, very cool.
[01:40:16] Speaker C: Aside from the signature, it's a nice football.
[01:40:19] Speaker A: Somebody really messed that thing up.
But yeah, definitely, definitely get entered to win yourself a Nick Chubb autograph football. And with that, let me remind you to call the burgamersportscast dot de.com.

[01:42:35] Speaker G: The burning river sports cast.
[01:42:36] Speaker B: What better combination could you possibly think of? Motorboat.
[01:42:40] Speaker A: You play the motorboat, you old sailor, you.
[01:42:45] Speaker B: You know, I was thinking during that interview.
[01:42:47] Speaker A: What were you think? Nothing. Cuz you don't have thoughts? Cuz you're a brainless idiot.
[01:42:52] Speaker B: Wow.
[01:42:52] Speaker G: My name is Uhtred, son of Uhtred.
[01:42:55] Speaker A: By the way, I want my foreskin back.
[01:42:59] Speaker B: Women's guide to anal sex. And it was the second edition. Who makes edition?
[01:43:05] Speaker C: The weather outside is weather.
[01:43:07] Speaker A: The other one. The finger. The finger eating food fingers, yes.
[01:43:10] Speaker B: Ejaculate all over my body and my genitals.
[01:43:13] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:43:13] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[01:43:15] Speaker G: My ass is full of shit everywhere.
[01:43:19] Speaker C: You don't need fundamentals when you got heart.
[01:43:22] Speaker B: And Jesus.
[01:43:23] Speaker A: And Jesus.
